The CPU/ chipset in the XSP only supports sensors up to 20MP and the Z1 has a 20.7MP sensor, that's probably why it won't boot

The CPU in the Lumia 1020 is not as powerful as the CPU in the Xperia SP, yet the 1020 has a 41MP sensor. It's not the chipset, it's a combination of factors.
May I ask why you're doing this OP? Just curious.

Right, I thought that you ripped apart a Z1 and just tried stuffing that camera in the SP for the hell of it lol.

OFF-TOPIC: May I know where do you get the instructions on performing the camera swap? This is fairly interesting for me!

I think is because of the lack of OIS, which Nexus 6 has. If camera it´s important to you, then maybe you should wait for the new LG G4 which camera promises a lot.
or S6

LG G4 has batter hardware camera overall, but we should expect until device comes out to make a photo comparison; I hope LG doesn't harm the camera quality with some cheap or unfinished software., but as rumors said, it will implement the new Camera2 API completely, so it's a deal breaker for someone who camera on his device is the top priority.

I always ask to myself this, if the lack of OIS compensate in some way with more MP and a bigger sensor.
What's your opinion then?.

OIS is overrated IMO. It helps with those who have shaky hands but action shots will still be hit and miss. Motorola has never been able to write a decent camera driver, and they write it for both the Turbo and N6. The turbo/maxx takes higher quality pictures (not really taking into consideration MP, but takes longer to focus. The Nexus 6 takes faster pics, but to me the colors are dull and lifeless.
Id be interested in a camera showdown using Manual Camera on both in jpg mode. It makes up for some of the shortcomings on the devices.

LG G4 camera port ? is it possible ?

hi there
i'm enjoying my new S6 and its really awesome ! but i think that LG G4 has the coolest camera app and it would be really great if someone managed to port it to our lovely S6
Blasphemy, how dare u mention LG as if Samsung needs any help or your implying that by having LG's camera software your device would feel complete?!

Because it has better camera, laser focus, manual shutter speed, ability to take RAW photos and 4K OIS..

Most vs have the s6 taking better pics. Manual shutter speed and raw photos are coming in 5.1 and ois is hardware. Something the s6 has thus it has 4k ois.
the way i see it, the only advantage for the G4 over the s6 is the camera UI .... its simply brilliant ! if we had that camera app working on the S6, well .... Oh Dear ....
I agree. LG has amazing look on camera. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I moved from LG to Samsung. I'd much prefer another launcher touchwiz is **** but again that's my opinion

Thoughts on Snap camera? My experience with it so far

Surprised no one is talking about Snap camera here. Its a new camera app in CyanogenMod 13 nightlies that is based on the Snapdragon camera app from Qualcomm.
Compared to Google Camera, Snap camera is significantly faster. It does not support RAW capture or any other advanced camera option like shutter speed, ISO levels etc, but it is well worth using just for the speed increase.
I also think that my N5 focuses faster with Snap camera compared to other camera apps that I have tried.
Made a video of the UI in action over here if you guys are interested: https://youtu.be/O3NpF9ZcT1M
On other phones compatible phones like LG G4 etc., the app does support HDR mode and other advanced features like ISO levels, exposure levels etc.
Ive used this app for about a year. The clean UI and the amount of features make it easily one of my favorites. (fyi ive used it on a g3, n6, n6p, opo, edge, edge+, BlackBerry Priv and a moto x 2013 & 2014 and its always worked for me with HDR working best on the Nexus devices)

This link points to Snap camera HDR, which is in my knowledge different from Snapdragon camera. As fa as I know there is no way to install Snapdragon camera on N5 with stock marshmallow. So CM13 and variants after the 1.09 build are the only way to go . However the camera does not support HDR mode yet.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Camera for 360

Hi to all, it sounds strage to me but seems that sony, among all camera mini app, didn't think to a function to make 360 (sphere) photos. Among all camera apps in the play store i tried Panorama 360, but i don't like it: the pictures are really noisy. I was used to use google camera, which has this function, in my old xperia S with naosp rom so I download also in my Z5 but the higher resolution is 8.3 Mpx.
Which app you use to do 360 photos?
Thanks
Google Street view works for me
