What is AICP?
AICP is known by someone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since than evolved as a mature rom with the BEST community you can find!!!
Rom has always been AOKP based until Lollipop.
Unfortunately AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year so we are now CM based when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!
Latest Stable Release
Download link: http://goo.gl/mIgmYG
Actual version: AICP V8
What's New:
Complete change log by the download link
KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows CM source.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder.
IceColdJelly AICP G+ community
What's Broken:
It's a Nexus
ROMS
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Lollipop. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
Gapps - they are needed for OTA to work
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes
Most important thing is to check donation section in the first post that I changed

Thanx for the rom

Been running the nightlies for almost 2 months now on the mako, great to see the release!
To those of you who haven't tried it yet... give it a go. I read plenty of other ROM threads where there are all sorts of issues. Maybe I've just been lucky but this is one stable ROM

OTA delivery of AICP but wrong device ownership
The new ROM showed up on my Nexus 4 so I installed it. The ROM mostly worked well but it seems to have a fatal flaw in my case. It chose a university account for ownership instead of my gmail account and the university cannot access the play store. There doesn't seem to be any relatively easy way to change device ownership so it is back to 4.4.4 for now.
Does anyone have suggestions on this? Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes! IceColdSandwich was best rom ever for Desire HD! I can't wait to get home and flash this masterpiece! If it is half as good as Desire HD rom was, this will be my new daily driver!
Thanks a lot LorD!
Hvala!

When you say ownership... in the initial setup you get to manually link the phone to a Google account, can you not reflash and link your phone to the account you want?
Or just go to Settings/accounts and remove your university one?

Definitely been waiting for the official thread to be opened for far too long @LorD ClockaN!
I installed this ROM half an hour after I saw the thread had been opened and I have to say that it's absolutely fantastic, running it with Unleashed 101u and it's running smooth as butter!
Thanks for the hard work and dedication you give to our brilliant little phones

Stock kernel is excellent, though I've been using nash's kernel (v21, CM) for the last couple of weeks. Very stable, as well as all the CPU related stuff you can use Synapse to load gamma presets.
Other ones you can try are Matr1x, hellscore, semaphore, in that order.

I'm definetly going to try this rom, it appears to be better than euphoria. Thanks for the rom.

This rom is awesome and fast.
have one problem, which is delayed notifications and calls.
This means i get the notification sound then after 2 seconds the notification appears on the status bar.
Also calls does the same thing.
Anyone having this issue ?

Hehe yes
Nightlys for 8.0 should be done on the Server in the next 24h, so i uploaded a testbuild.
So OTA should now be fine also, when build is done.
Testbuild is up to date, but i not make a clean build, so it still does not say 8.0.
Will make a clean build tomorrow.
Kltespr will be moved to the Kltespr section, looks like we have a maintainer who owns the device.
Will see whats up with klteusc, maby it will stay here ..
Lol...was confuse...thanks for confirm.

So now that we are official with ota updates, will the team start looking into why some games and apps have no touch support or why the OS switches over to trackball for those games and apps? Just being curious.

True. Only "android" is a bit boring.
Also, it is not possible to install SuperSU. Normal install fails and using TWRP causes a bootloop.

Go to Settings > Apps > AICP OTA > Permissions and enable Storage permission.

You'll need to fastboot OEM unlock for unlocking bootloader
Then need to fastboot boot twrp.recovery then install the recovery permanently by flashing it from within the booted twrp.recovery. so twrp needs to be on both PC and internal storage of nexus player.
Once you get twrp squared away, you can boot to and flash from recovery.
Bottom button on Nexus Player... Hold down while plugging in to enter bootloader. Short press to cycle, long press and release to select must be in bootloader when entering fastboot commands.
You will need a mouse connected via otg in order to do anything within twrp. I use a wireless Logitech k400 keyboard with a trackpad.
That's the crash course
thank you I'm glad to see more people developmenting for the Nexus player I'll have to try this out I'm stocked rooted with twrp and maybe make my 128gb pny worth using now thinking about getting some Ubuntu on their as well
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
Just make a backup in twrp(store the backup on external storage) and try it out. My previous testing, this wasn't ready for a daily driver if you use the Nexus Player for more than just Kodi. But when it worked well, it was very enjoyable

We'd have to ask @Trafalgar Square what the status of builds for the Fugu is. I take looks at the changelogs and have never seen specific commits for the Nexus Player. There is a build from the 23rd(yesterday) but I haven't tried any nightlies since the 13th... And that ran same as my previous attempts.
I'd really like to see the AICP tablet version! No AndroidTV UI. There isn't a current Marshmallow build in tablet mode for our device... The Pure Android build does not contain an overscan activity and can't launch the overscan.apk.
If I could formally request... AICP tablet version please ????

According to change log, has fugu shown as build with Tablet UI...
Going to backup my Kodi, and give this one a go. Will attempt to use OpenGapps x86

AICPAndroid Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

Device Specific Nougat Bugs
You tell...
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Nougat. You are not required to install any Add-Ons, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to take a nandroid backup and fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has GApps persistance in between dirty flashes
KERNEL:
This ROM have stock LaOS kernel.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.

by default it cLock doesn't come with a weather provider. Maybe OP might include it the next build.
You need to download either OpenWeatherMapProvider or YahooWeatherMapProvider and install.
Go to Settings->Apps->Configure apps (Hit that Settings icon on your top right), scroll down to weather and set a provider.
Now go back to your homescreen and apply the cLock Widget.
That's it;
awesome rom fast and smooth id like more customization change color of battery, size,
i think night light doesnt work for me idk if its a bug cause i used RR rom nougat and had the same prob...i turn on the light nothing happens
veryyyy nice rom btw
ps if its possible you should enable positioning of traffic indicator left/right/center cause if you use center clock with a date and traffic indi and battery text u cannot see any traffic
ps 2 is it ok if install supersu or busybox?
Thanks for the awesome rom looking forward for updates

Im going to flash the Nightly build now
I have just installed everything now. This rom is so great! It runs so smooth.
I update about the battery life when i have used the phone a bit.
Thx u dev for your awesome work!
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, but I've seen musicman works on both projects, so... What are the main differences between AICP and RR?
I'm currently running the latest release of RR on the official website (a month old), and am downloading both today's RR and the current stable AICP, as I haven't decided which to use yet. The main things I care about are audio, stability, lack of bloatware (I use nano gapps and install the extras I want separately), and something to replace the space inefficient default recent apps menu (grid view from HTC is my favorite). I also like to be able to customize the header and quickbuttons.
Has the issue been fixed on either ROM where you have to toggle to speakerphone to hear phone calls?
Thanks in advance for any info...
