[MOD] No Bluetooth Prompt For Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro (K920) - Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro Themes, Apps, and Mods

For some reason Lenovo decided to prevent enabling Bluetooth using the standard BluetoothAdapter.enable() method and always request user confirmation in a popup for any 3rd party app.
This behavior pretty much prevents using any profile manager, Tasker or other app from automatic switching Bluetooth on. This module fixes that and allows any app to power on Bluetooth - just like with any other Android device.
v0.2: It also enables the cover to power on/off the device when using Google UI.
No Bluetooth Prompt For Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro (K920) is also available from Xposed Module Repository (source).

Not working on lenovo vibez (k910). Can you fixed?

Great work, thanks

Could you make a separate Xposed module just for the cover actions to work with Google UI on Lollipop?
That would be really great.

I will probably do that but I don't have Xposed installed yet as it's not that straightforward - bootloader is locked so Xposed can't be installed using recovery. It only takes to rewrite the installation script but I haven't done that yet.

Your Xposed Modules Usage Please

A kind request from those of you who have Unlocked Bootloader/Rooted/xPosed.
I would really like to see a video(s) of any Xperia xposed modules intended to enhance/tweak the system and/or UI in any way shape or form.
As well as any non xperia modules that work as intended that you are finding useful.
This would be a great way for people to see what they are missing (and eventually look forward to achieving the same when an official root exploit comes to surface.)
Please illustrate the usage/functionality you gain from your installed and recommended xposed modules
Thanks in advance
I rooted mine and gravitybox hardly works at all. Many functions(mostly those which change how the phone looks) do not work, such as quick notification pulldown
I've already uninstalled it... now only hoping for a quick cyanogenmod support for z3c
GravityBox works great, except for a few functions which don't work because Sony replaced some AOSP functions with their own, namely the notification dropdown (there is also a module that reverts this, but it doesn't work and isn't maintained anymore) and lockscreen.
OK so gravity box is hit or miss by the sounds if it.
So what features from gravity box are actually working?
What other modules are you using.. And do they work?
Any decent xperia modules working?
Anymore experiences with xposed on z3c?

I'm using that module, and most of it works. There are only a few things, such as enabling AOSP lockscreen, that don't work. Quick pulldown for quicksettings works like a charm!
I use the XBlast Module. Everything works perfect until now. It is kinda the same as GravityBox but with a little less functions. But most stuff i need are in it.

[Android 4.03+, Root, Xposed] Jit Screen On - Keep screen on for selected apps

Jit Screen On 2.2
Download from:
Google Play
Xposed Repo
or download the attached APK directly
Jit Screen On is a cool Xposed mod that lets you select specific apps for which the screen will stay turned on as long as the app is in the foreground.
You can also dynamically set the screen to stay on once for the current foreground application (if it is not already in the selected apps list) directly from the notification bar. This does not affect your apps selection and can be disabled in settings
Jit Screen On highlights:
Select whether screen stays on for selected apps as long as the app is active or set a timeout after which the screen will turn off
Set screen to stay on once or always for the current foreground application directly from the notification bar
Does not use wakelocks
Does not change system settings
Requirements:
Xposed framework
This is a fully functional 30-days trial version.
After 30 days the app will be disabled until installing Jit Screen On License.
This is also a full license for XNotifications module and vice versa - if you have XNotifications license all Jit Screen On features are unlocked for you
We would very much appreciate any feedback, question or suggestion.
Enjoy
Version 2.1 is now available with the following changes:
The license is now also a full license for XNotifications module
Added option to add application to selected apps directly from the status bar
Improved performance
Bugs fixes
Enjoy

Screen turns off then you have Pokemon go in energy saving mode, when you flip the screens and it dims. Also does having your app constantly running cause a certain battery drain?

If Pokemon Go actively turn the screen off as part of their logic and not as part of regular Android behavior we do not cover it, however we didn't encounter it.
Our app does not run constantly, this is the advantage of Xposed - we hook to code points in the running app that help us apply this functionality.

We'll see if we can add specific support for it
Hi! First sorry for any english errors.
I bought this app to use with pokemon go and for the bonus notifications license. I like to suport developers of good apps like these two, and i love xposed modules.
I´m using a Samsung J7 - SM-J700M on stock MM 6.0.1, the notifications module works great, but i´m having some trouble with the screen on module. Sometimes even with pokemon go open the screen goes off. When that happens i go to home screen, open your app and switch back to pokemon and then it stays on.
Any ideas about this? Can i provide any aditional info to help you guys figure it out?
Thanks in advance!
Does your module can work in unofficial Xposed 7.0 Nougat? Cheers.

What Xposed features will I miss out on if I 'upgrade' to a 7.x phone?

I have a Note 3 which I'm looking to make into my backup phone/dedicated GPS. It's currently on 4.4.2 and I would like to believe that, in the intervening major versions, many of the missing (obvious) OS features which made Xposed so necessary are now available as stock system options. Being familiar with the awful, pervasive anti-customization/pro-simplicity/for-dummies mobile development philosophy that now threatens even PC software, I'm afraid I'm probably wrong.
Ideally, of course, I'd want Xposed on my yet-to-be-determined 7.x phone, but if that isn't going to happen, I'd like to know if there are built-in options now to partially replace great Xposed modules like:
NotifyClean - In Android N, can I set rules to totally block specific notifications?
NeverSleep - Set certain applications to disable sleep mode when active?
Wanam Xposed - Theming options (assuming I go with a Samsung phone)?
Xposed LED Control - Different LED colors per notification type?
DoubleTapToSleep - Sleep without using a hard button?
BootManager
Network Speed Indicator
If someone familiar with Android N could comment on the list above, I'd be very grateful. I'd rather buy a 'new' older phone than get an S8 or similar and find (assuming there's even a root exploit) that my phone is crippled versus my nearly 4 years old Note 3.
Notifiyclean can be substituted by power notification controls, which I don't know if it comes with stock rom, but I know it's there for the rom I'm using.
Neversleep can be substituted by the caffeine toggle, if your rom has it. I believe you can also find it on the play store to use if it's not built-in.
Wanam Xposed, I haven't used in ages. Can't even remember what it does...
LED Control should be built-in, if not custom roms.
DoubleTapToSleep should be your kernel.
Bootmanager, I'm unsure... Maybe alternatives with root?
Network Speed Indicator can be done with apps or built-in from custom roms.

Thanks... It sounds like I should be able to get by without Xposed, though I don't know if I'll ever be able to install a custom ROM considering I will probably end up with an AT&T phone. I guess first I need to find a rootable phone.
Is there an alternative to App Settings module, to allow for per-app dpi settings without Xposed, because android n?

My first idea was Tasker, but I am not sure if you can modify the dpi value with Tasker itself. I guess with the help of an appropriate plugin, you should be able to set the dpi on a per-app base.

[MOD] NFC Screen OFF (.206)

Hello,
Here I leave the NfcNci.apk modded in order to work even when the device is locked and screen is OFF
You don't have to worry about battery life, I have already tested it and it does not have any appreciable impact on it
IT MAY (SHOULD?) WORK WITH SONY XPERIA X TOO, though is untested (post here if it works for you)
Installation:
Download attached NfcNci.apk file
Overwrite it into /system/app/NfcNci.apk and chmod 0644 it
Delete /system/app/NfcNci/oat folder
Reboot or "svc power reboot" through ADB
Done

TESTED ON: Sony Xperia X Compact 34.2.A.2.69
UDPATE (22-08-2017):
-Now compatible with FTF build .206 (download NfcNci(.206).apk and rename it to NfcNci.apk)

I think there is no easy way to mod the system NFC APK to make it work like what you say. Instead, it would be possible to create an app that handles all NFC tags and override the functionality of those tags which aren't in the whitelist
Hi
Thanks for the mod.
I'm wondering if you've included support of taglost detection ?
And maybe : it is hard to have a mod for a detection on lock screen instead of "screen off" ?
For me a "screen off" detection is too annoying since my phone can be in contact with some NFC cards in my pocket/bag.
I was able to do it for android 5.x on my Z3 compact but it's a long time ago.. can't remember what I did back then

Hi,
I dont know what do you mean by "taglost detection", but this mod is based on the SONY's stock rom NFC app, so it should be included if it's also in the original app.
I think adding just on-lock-screen detection should be hard, you can follow the quick guide I wrote here: https://github.com/bamsbamx/NFCScreenOFF/blob/master/README.md
But keep in mind if you want just lock screen you should set .field static final NFC_POLLING_MODE:I = 0x2 instead of .field static final NFC_POLLING_MODE:I = 0x1
I cant test by myself that way because I am using AOSP rom right now... But will help you if you need

By default there's no tag lost detection.
The tag_lost detection allow to trigger action when the tag is removed, not only when the phone scan the tag.
For ex you can use this to set the phone in a particular state (commonly: car mode, desk mode, etc) while the tag is detected. When the tag is removed, you use the tag_lost trigger to get off the mode, or trigger any other action (with tasker for ex)
I just got my X compact, and still not rooted yep. At this time I'm trying to use it without root... but the nfc mod my push me to do it
If so I'll take a look at this and post here
Please support 34.3.A.0.238 ?
On my phone, introducing this will cause nfc to disappear.

Are you rooted and why?

Just as the title says I'm just asking those of you who are rooted and a quick brief explanation of why? Even those not rooted I would also encourage to Express your reasonings.
Personally I'm not rooted right now because I don't have TWRP and Google pay is iffy at the moment but I would love to root for substratum, adaway, and Viper sound mods.
Thanks guys.
Google Pay works with a simple fix in Termux app - no issues with it unless you use EdXposed.
I'm rooted for modding, theming, ability to install custom kernel, Button Mapper capabilities, Swift Backup, ability to fix device ambient EQ, ability to mod Active Edge, ability to use Lawnchair with QuickStep recents. mod accent colors to cool neon colors, iYTPB YouTube mod.. Substratum (not using currently but will be soon), ability to hide navbar.. the list goes on.
I'm rooted because this is a Google device with open source code and active development so modding and customizing my device is easy, fun, and I am able to see the changes being made without the blind guesswork and hackery involved in trying to develop for so many half-baked source release devices.
rooted so I can use;
- AdAway
- ViPER4Android
- EdXposed
As previously mentioned, Gpay is working fine.
And you don't "need" TWRP to root the P4XL.

Thanks for your input guys but I'm a little confused through googling I see a magisk module that supposedly does all the necessary scripting in the background and then like mentioned here I see manually editing via termux. So I'm just wondering what is the exact procedure or is there a thread I can't seem to find with the exact instructions?

I recommend this Termux fix, believe spaceman860 from DU is the first I saw using this but could be wrong, copying this from Telegram
Gpay fix v2
1. Install Termux app and open the app
2. Type pkg install sqlite hit enter and let it install.
3. Type su hit enter
4. Copy and paste this then hit enter
am force-stop /data/data/com.google.android.apps.walletnfcrel && chmod 777 /data/data/com.google.android.gms/databases/dg.db && /data/data/com.termux/files/usr/bin/sqlite3 /data/data/com.google.android.gms/databases/dg.db "update main set c='0' where a like '%attest%';" && chmod 444 /data/data/com.google.android.gms/databases/dg.db
5. Reboot
I'm rooted mainly so I can install a custom kernel. I always end up rooting for one small reason or another.
Because i can
Adaway for now.
I root for,
AdAway
YouTube Vanced
Active Edge Mod
Custom Fonts
Themes (Swift Installer and Substratum)
Viper4Android
Centre Clock Mod
Build prop edits (just to change volume steps, really)
Screen recorder with internal audio recording
iOS Emojis
Some Tasker stuff that requires root
Swift Backup
SD Maid Pro
Main feature is custom kernel... It can realy provide a boost

Yes, rooted.
Because I use:
Custom Kernels (battery saving)
BlackenedMod (battery saving)
AdAway (no ads!)
YouTube Vanced (YouTube without ads and other cool features!)
Custom Themes (just a better colour palate for OEM colours in styles)
Viper4Android (awesome sound on speakers/earphones)
Centre Clock Mod (purely aesthetic)
TiB (backing up and restoring apps)
I haven't rooted since the first pixel. Haven't needed to. Adguard premium does what I need along with YouTube vanced.
I'll never bother messing with my phones again.

I'm rocking a P3xl, but I rooted for...
Advanced Charging Control module - allows me to control how the battery is charged - (ie lower the max charge to 80% and other things that should increase overall battery life)
Active Edge Mod (mostly standard settings, but can squeeze to take a picture when the camera is open instead of having to press the shutter button on the screen. This really helps when trying to hold the phone with one hand).
Viper4Android
AdAway
YouTube Vanced
ExperimentalX kernel - great kernel and it has high brightness mode (HBM) support too. (Like the Pixel 4 series, the 3a series has a max brightness that is actually lower than the screen is capable of. HBM overrides this and truly maxes the brightness. It really helps when using the phone outside in bright sunlight).
With the Pixel 4 series, I think being able to map the Soli gestures for other things might be very interesting too.
FINGERFACE!!!!!! How can Google release a flagship model with no FP sensor before getting all the banking/security apps to support the Face-unlock API???
They don't call it the bleeding edge for nothing and something had to come first; there would never be support without need and there is no need until someone creates it. Realistically Google has used their power over the ecosystem to require support and it's going to be ubiquitous in the near future. For now, some of us have to bleed a little bit...

No need to bleed, just root and install EdXposed and Fingerface.
No longer feel the need to root. System is working just fine and I'm using DNS66 from f-Droid with AdAway hosts. It's working absolutely fine without rooting.
