[Q] HTC One - Is the Guest User feature missing from Sprint's version of Lollipop? - Sprint HTC One (M7)

I finally got around to installing the Lollipop OTA update yesterday and I've been going through some articles looking for new features. One awesome-looking feature is the guest user feature. The only problem is that I can't seem to find a menu item for this in the settings, nor is there the user icon next to the settings icon in the notification tray. Am I missing something or is this not a feature that is included in the Sprint version?

Perhaps a more relevant question would be, for those of you that have lollipop installed on your Sprint HTC One, do you have access to the guest users feature?
A simple yes by at least one person would let me know that it is a problem with my phone and not an oversight by Sprint.
Thanks!

I just talked to Sprint customer service and I was assured that the user account feature is supposed to be in this release. I was told to go to Settings -> Device -> Users. Unfortunately, there is no Device menu in Settings on my phone. Can some of you respond if you are seeing the same issue? Sprint is opening a ticket but I'd like to tell them that this isn't just affecting me, if that is the case.
I'll keep everyone updated.

Same deal here. I just installed the update and I can't find the multi-users feature anywhere. I have the M8 HK Edition

HTC does not include multiuser on any sense Rom. It's is included on the GE edition and u can use it in any lollipop Aosp and some KK Aosp toms.

beginner questions

hey guy,
i got my nexus before a week and i have some question about it...
1. i have the original rom and i wonna stay with it. i downloaded the Trackball Alert, and when i open it i got the message: "warning compatible rom not detected", and the app is not working. is there something to fix this app without changing the rom?
2. on my contacts i have my facebook friends and my gmail contacts. i accidentally hide some friends from fb. how could i recover them, without delete and add again the account (it took me too much time to join 860 contacts)
3. im from israel and i would like to know how could i add israel as a local. i understood there was app called "localmore" or something, but its not exist on the market. is anyone know how could i add israel to the local list, i understood Cyanogen fix this problem, but i prefer not changing my rom.
thanks everyone!
The answer to #1 is simple.
You need to be rooted to utilize that, if I'm not mistaken. (The good part is that'll just give you a reason to use the goodies from the different customer ROMs out there)
One item to note: In the Trackball Alert download, it specifies that you NEED a custom ROM. Now, I can't say for sure if this would work on a Stock ROM, while rooted... But I don't very well see the point of sticking to stock if you've already rooted anyway.
You'll just have to wait for Google to implement colors in an OTA update.
2) Go to Settings -> Accounts and sync -> Add your fb account if it's not there anymore, or if it is check sync is enabled.
3) Once you've rooted and changed your ROM the only thing you'll regret is not doing it sooner.

develop option on ics

Any thoughts on why the OTA ICS upgrade enables the Develop option menu? Possibly AT&T mistakenly pushed it out, or did so on an extremely limited basis for testing purposes? Surely they wouldn't want just anybody messing with those settings. The Android version number is strange too, 4.0.3 710RD, when I see RD makes me think research & development.
No problems here, just wondering out loud.
I have seen this option on the Galaxy Nexus. I do believe it is a standard option for ICS.
Oh, I had assumed from the nature of the options inside and the fact that it seems to be at best awkwardly translated that it was a menu which was normally unavailable. A lot of older phones used to have secret menus like that unlocked by some convoluted series of actions.

I've been wondering about the version myself...
Not sure if enabling it was intentional, but I know I found the "Stay Awake" option to be useful. Keeps the screen on while charging unless I turn it off using the power button.
It helps when using the phone at my desk as an audio player.
-Brett.
Also if u mess with the window animations and the other one below it ....u can turn it up to like 5x I believe it makes cool transitions on the windows and menus..
It's intentional, a feature (if you will) built into ICS. It's a part of AOSP builds as wel so it's ultimately up to the Mobile phone companies to leave it or not.

[Q] A couple of questions about Google Edition ROM

Hello there
I have always switched between Google Edition and Sense ROMs ever since GPE ROMs were released. I love how simple, quick and bloat-free GPE ROMs are and I also love how feature-packed and elegant Sense feels and looks. I have decided to use GPE for a while and therefore I have a couple of questions regarding it:
1) Is it possible to get the native Sense mail client on it? I don't like the "EMAIL" application that comes with the GPE. I could try alternatives on the Playstore if need be.
2) Is there a modification to enable Advanced Power Management on it? I have searched in the Themes & Mods section but all of them seem to be for Sense ROMs only. Some people claim that ones designed for Nexus would work but I wouldn't want to risk trying that in case it'll mess anything up. I do have a Nandroid Backup just in case, though.
3) What are some good Quick Settings applications? I have tried Widgetsoid on more than one occasion and it's fairly good but there are a couple of things about it that annoy me, like how you must leave a notification icon in the left side of the status bar in order for the QS to be on top of the pull down, otherwise it'll just be an empty space which looks ridiculous.
4) What is the best mod to enable battery percentage or replace the stock one with one that shows percentage?
Thank you very much guys, I really appreciate your time.
Have a great day.
EDIT:
2) I resolved number two by installing Xposed Framework and MoDaCo Toolkit and enabling Advanced Power Management under "Google Nexus (all)" menu. I tried enabling it under "HTC One" but that didn't work, probably because it's for Sense-based ROMs.
4) I resolved number four by installing battery mods from this thread.
These are good questions. Although i dont know any answers, i may be able to point you in a direction that would help. Go check out Switch for the One at Switch.MoDaCo.com
Thank you for taking the time to reply and for your suggestion. I already removed MoDaCo Switch a couple of days ago so my question is regarding Google Play Edition only. Thanks again!

Possible alternative to OP7P T-Mobile stock ROM

This is not a tutorial, just a technical note. I have been able to restore my unlocked T-Mobile OnePlus 7 Pro (model GM1915) that was firmware build GM31CB, with the GM21AA for models GM1911 and GM 1917. YMMV.
I have not experienced any issues with LTE or wifi calling, or text messages. I immediately received and successfully installed an OTA. The only difference I've seen so far is the wifi-calling icon now says "V♂WIFI" (still works though) and default ring tone.
Before you ask why didn't I just use the MSMTool to install the international version.... Some may find themselves in my predicament, where they are Linux or Mac users and the MSMTool.exe is for Windows. I tried a Windows VM but was only partially successful. The T-Mobile download links I found were broken and GM21AA is easily found.
Follow up: I've figured out that the male symbol is actually "oiP" to spell VoiP. Another note is that swiping from edge left to center used to bring up curated news, a feature I liked, but now it brings up a tray with widgets like a parking tool. I'm starting to think that the tiny differences I'm noticing are differences in the updates because T-Mob was behind on the releases. Also, I neglected before to mention that the ROM was installed via TWRP.

You can get that back by installing Nova launcher and the Google companion app. The international version is leaps and bounds better than the hack job TMo did. For being optimized for Tmos network I have way better performance on the international version. MMS messages wouldn't always download, sms would hang. On the international version everything just works. You think it would be the other way

Call and text on other devices after Verizon one UI 3.0 update

Was anyone able to figure out a way to enable this feature after the most recent update? I have the G973U version. I'll do whatever it takes to enable this feature. Verizon Messages + is ****
