Anker doesn't have a lot of batteries much bigger than the one that comes with the phone.
If I know there's no charger in my future. I use this:

Extended battery 3600 mAh or 4300 mAh?

Hello, has anyone ever used either of these batteries? I saw them listed on ebay, and there are many sellers for these. Unfortunately, since you can't see any product reviews on ebay, unlike on amazon, I can't tell if it's any good or not.
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
Yes the 4300 on ebay. It seems fine. Let's clear this up a little more. My battery on heavy use drained between 10 to 15 % an hour. With this battery it is around 5%. I hope this clears it up some more for you.

Really? Hmm. I've had bad experience buying from china sellers. How long have u been using the extended battery and has it shown any unusual drain?
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
I am really Interestet in this topic as well.
Do you also have some experience with the cases that are dilivered with these batteries.
There are two kinds, I found.
A:http://www.ebay.de/itm/J102-Externe...833?pt=DE_Handy_PDA_Akkus&hash=item35c326c1f9
and
B:http://www.ebay.de/itm/J102-Externe...833?pt=DE_Handy_PDA_Akkus&hash=item35c326c1f9
Anyone had any experience with the different kinds.
IMO B is way uglier, but A has better colour

No it is going strong since 4 month's. I done earlier post I posted the link for the 4300 mAh I use. But also this gold battery 2680MAH is a really big improvement on battery life in still the same size like the original battery. I wonder why not lg Samsung and Co can but more juice in the same battery but obviously others can. I always questioning this.

That's exactly what u have. No it does not has nfc. The only battery that is bigger and has nfc is the one from mugen. But that 2680MAH has it. Well it still is able to fit in ur normal battery back so. I heard someone mention that those gold batteries are sold out. And if u buy that bigger battery make sure to follow the charging and recharging procedure. Put in ur phone let it run down to 5% then charge it for around 12 hours. Make sure u do not interrup the charging. Then after that the same always let it go down to around 5 and charge it for around 8 hours. Ur phone is gonna tell u that the battery is full like after 2 hours. That's not right. Since it goes by the standard battery. Trust me 12 hours 5% and afterwards 8 hours 5%. Makes sense since the battery is a little bigger then twice the original one.
And look at this when do u ever get after over 15 with using the phone still 62% battery life left? Never ever. Also I used it with 1500 mhz speed I use it the standard speeds no under or overclocking. Kept that in mind.

Don't know anything about that. The biggest that is still the same size is the 2680mah I know of. Sorry.

There's no 2800 battery with the size of the original. The biggest was the 2680 that seems not produced any more. Even searching on the Chinese websites doesn't help.

The auctions on eBay are ended (at
Least so I see from the mobile version).
The batteries were available on amazon as well, but listed as unavailable there too.

Change ur ebay app either to UK or German and you should see it fine. Also don't use the mobile version use the real Web page.

Well, this what eBay (either UK or de, BTW I always use UK) tells me
"Dieses Angebot wurde vom Verkäufer beendet, da der Artikel nicht mehr verfügbar ist"
"This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available."
I also tried to search directly in the seller's shop without different results, no gold batteries for p880.
Can you try to buy them?

Yeah no issues. The golden and the 4300 mAh are both made with Japanese cells so it is all good. Also they have overcharging protection. I had no issues at all. It makes my phone finally usable. I went 2 days 16 hours without charging. I take that over a little bit bulk. Or 2 to 4 hours more with that golden.

I want to clarify though.. So you're saying that the golden battery surpasses the bulky extended one despite having much less capacity?

What is? If you are referring to battery life, it's quite evident that you have charged the phone in the middle.
I usually have 40 % after one full day..

You mean show the battery life, or last 21 hours after a charge in the middle?

Suddendly turning off / Colors tangle

I must point out that my battery is fake. My phone works fine. When it drops %30-20, It suddenly turns off and the colors on the screen tangle with each other. Is this because of battery or ROM you think ?
If should buy a new one, which one do you suggest on Amazon.com ?
That'll be the battery then.
Best stick to stock Samsung or reputable like anker.

OK. Will do, cheers. But I'm getting contrasting responses from other threads saying it doesn't matter as the battery is Lithium-ion and that the old type batteries are the ones that really require to be fully charged before use.

People really should stop spreading that full initial charge BS seriously, it's 2013!
Unless you buying an electric power drill with a nickel cadmium or nickel metal-hydride battery, there's NO reason to top it off before using it or to charge for 8 hours! You're not prolonging the life of your battery nor are you preventing a memory effect by fully charging it.

The battery technology used in these now does NOT need special first charge procedure. Just charge it however you want, and enjoy the phone!
