Will TWRP work on D290?

Not sure, but to keep you save..download flashify to back up your stock recovery, or use this command
dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery of=/storage/external_SD/recovery.img bs=2048
Move it inside folder, keep it
And continue to flash the recovery.img
Just search that aboot.bin patched too

So seems there's none used this device huh, anyone just put some post and share your thought here

Thanks for your feedback man! Today some guy released working TWRP for D290n :3

Good news...let ask mod to makes our own forum

It would be awesome

Custom Frameworks-res
For those want ART working, don't use deodexed.zip above, and some who want custom navbar size(changed to 27.dip) resized statusbar.
Use this one custom framework-res
https://mega.co.nz/#!Rs8ylawT!lW587n08JXiSDlYI0Qni3J489lFVIAb0g_nrXyALQeE
Howto;
Extractthe zip files (DO NOT FLASH).. Boot into recovery, mount system, in advanced use file manager before you dellete the original framework-res.apk (copy the original, put it on sdcard).
Replace with the extracted framework-res.apk and chmod 644..
Reboot

Gionee M2 - Root, Backup ROM, Install CWM

The Gionee M2 has a MT6582 Mediatek chipset.
Follow the Gionee guide on their site for upgrading to KitKat, before you start the process, replace the recovery.img file in the ROM file you downloaded and extracted and replace it with a CWM or Carliv touch recovery file that works for the JB versions, this will give you a custom recovery (power button + up key when booting)
The 800Mb+ KitKat ROM update file has about 300mb of pure bloatware, unknown games etc.
ROOT:
Enable USB debugging
Download SuperSU from the playstore (we will use it to replace the chinese SU file later)
Download RootMaster (google it), this is an apk file probably made by the same chinese dev's who made Vroot
Make sure wifi is on, run RootMaster, all text is chinese, but the press to root button is english, it works, if it doesnt the first time try again (dont press anything else, it has a ton of crapware)
It should prompt that your phone is rooted, give it some time, it actually downloads a chinese version of SU
Now run SuperSU, it will replace the chinese version with the familiar english SuperSU ( although the chinese SU app with the lion emblem and chinese text will still be on your phone)
I recommend doing a full factory reset at this stage and using a root uninstaller app to remove all traces of this chinese RootMaster SU
Xposed Framework:
The amigo system resources interferes with Xposed you can still get it to install the framework by first installing the Xposed apk and then going to the settings of the Xposed installer and checking the box "Disable resources API", this will mean GravityBox WILL fail.
-------------------------------------------------------
Framaroot Doesn't work anymore
The best way to root this is to use Framaroot, Barahir exploit.
Although the Framaroot page on XDA does not list this as a compatible device (yet) it works really well.
All credits for Framaroot go to alephzain : here
------------------
This still works
BACKUP ROM WITH MTKTOOLS:
Download the awesome MTK Droid Root & Tools by rua1 from here
There are many detailed tutorials for using the actual tool ( I used v2.5.3) with detailed pictures etc., I wont reproduce them here, but before you read and follow the tutorials, make sure, your phone is rooted, you have the ADB drivers for your MT6582 chipset and the microsd card you put inside your phone is formatted inside the phone otherwise the backup will throw an error
Create & Install CWM:
Dev rua1's MTKTOOLS can also create a CWM image automatically from the boot.img that is created in the above step. There are detailed tutorials already available on many sites that show step by step how to do this. Installing CWM is up to you, either via Mobile Uncle Tools from the playstore (recommended) and the freshly minted CWM image or via SP Flash Tools using the Backup of ROM created with MTKTOOLS
Getting to Recovery - Hardware Keys
Getting directly to CWM when the phone is shutdown requires the following key press combination:
For KitKat:
Power button + UP volume button gets you to a custom recovery (should you have one)
Power button + down volume button gets you into Factory Mode (Gionee Factory Mode)
For JB:
Press Volume Keys UP/DOWN and Power button simultaneously
Let go once you reach a screen that shows 3 options, here choose recovery, it will then boot directly to CWM

Want rom for m2
i want custom rom for my gionee m2
Xposed Framework & Stock / Custom ROM's
Xposed Framework works fine on the rooted Gionee M2.
While several modules (like Xprivacy) work, GravityBox via Xposed download fc's, use the GravityBox Apk instead
As for M2 Stock ROM, I suggest take a backup of your own phone ROM, there is little chance that Gionee will make stock ROM's available for M2 (a very new device) anytime soon.
For other Gionee ROM's (stock) external sites like androidXDA have a few ROM's for download but none for M2
There are no custom ROM's for M2, if you want a smoother/cleaner experience try uninstalling some bloatware and change the DPI using an Xposed module.

Hey, it would be nice if you could customize the backing up ROM and re flashing tutorials for the for the m2. It would be quite helpful, you know which set of options to choose etc... beginners like me could make a mistakes with regards to those, since you have already done these procedures your experience could prove valuable. also do you know if the bootloader is unlocked on this phone? and how to check that?

Being a long time lurker on XDA, I've not managed to rack up enough posts to link to external sites, I tend to find most answers by lurking
But here goes (credits go to the original tuts on other sites): Warning, you may brick your device. This will void your warranty. You should know the risks.
Pre-requisite Steps:
Enable debugging mode on your phone. From your homescreen, tap the Menu button > Settings > Development. Tap 'Debug Mode' and make sure it's checked
Root your M2 using Framaroot, use Barahir exploit
Install Busybox from the Playstore on M2
Download MTK Droid Tools v2.5.3 from XDA, chrome tags this as malware (its not), if your AV detects this as malware then dont worry, its a false positive , disable your Anti Virus tool for good measure for the remainder of your backup job, unzip the MTK tools you downloaded
Make sure the microsd card you put inside your phone is formatted inside the phone otherwise the backup will throw an error - this step is impt.
Connect M2 via USB cable to your PC,Download the ADB drivers for M2, use PDANet (google it) and run it, ADB drivers should get automatically installed; this step is critical, so make sure it works
BACKUP ROM WITH MTKTOOLS:
Go into the extracted MTK Droid Tools folder and right-click on 'MTKdroidTools.exe'. Select 'Run as administrator'.
Wait while MTK Droid Tools communicates with your phone. You'll eventually see the main screen come up with all of your phone's information. Look in the bottom left hand corner of the main window, you should see a green square (if it's yellow, click the 'root' button in MTK Droid Tools, this may trigger SuperSU on your phone to ask you for granting it root, grant it)
In the main menu of MTK Droid Tools select the 'Root, Backup, Recovery' tab
Click the 'Backup' button. MTK Droid Tools will start to read all the data from your phone - this takes a long long time, the log is shown on screen, (if it hangs for very very long time (>45mins) on some step (like backup of system.img) you can pull the USB cable out of the phone and restart it)
After it's finished reading back the ROM, another window will pop up asking you if you'd like to compress the image. Select 'Yes'. This will pack it up into a zip and then let you know it's finished.
CREATE YOUR CWM & INSTALL:
Go to the playstore and download Mobileuncle MTK Tools
Connect the phone to PC via USB (if not connected already) and run the MTKDroidTool as administrator
Go to 'root, backup, recovery' tab
Tick the 'To choose the boot.img file' option - the boot.img got created when you took the backup of your ROM, all files from the ROM backup process are saved inside the MTK Tools folder
Click the 'Recovery and Boot' button
Look for the 'boot.img' file and then open it
You will be asked whether to create the CWM recovery automatically, select 'yes'
MTKDroidTools will prompt you whether to install patched files to the phone, say 'No, then it will prompt you if you want to install the CWM recovery that was created, say "No" - we will use MobileUncle Tools for this, its much cleaner
The process fill be finished, and you can now quit MTKDroidTools
In MTKDroidTools folder, you will see a new folder named 'recovery', and in the folder, you will see two .img files; one with the prefix 'boot' in it, and another one with the prefix 'recovery' in it, copy just the .img file with the prefix 'recovery' to the root of your microSD card
Start MobileUncle Tools in your phone, give it root, its a chinese app, but has english title names as well, select the 'Recovery Update' option, select the recovery .img file you have copied to the root of your microSD card, it will prompt you if you really want this, say 'OK'
The flashing process will run, and then you will be asked whether to boot into recovery mode, say yes and you will boot to CWM, you can now take a nandroid backup as well
Like I mentioned earlier, I'm a lurker on XDA, not a dev, so I may not be able to help beyond this
I have problem in CWM whenever I tried to mount Usb storage it gives error as :
"E:unable to open ums lunfile(no such file or directory)"
I have tried to port Cannibal Open touch recovery as well as Carliv but I think in our phone mout points are conflicting with default CWM mount points. If anyone have any solution most welcome for solution I am ready with Custom Roms for our Phone Gionee M2 but strucked in CWM ,if CWM will not work than we will be not able to flash any ROM.

How to install TWRP custom recovery (no MCU updates possible afterwards)

pakidermo5000 said:
Ok, I need some help here to understand pretty basic things. I think I am trying to do the wrong thing. I get into bootloader mode. I get the black screen and detection of "class for rockchip" in device manager.
Now, I want to flash TWRP. My idea was to get into bootloader mode and use ADB to flash TWRP. But, I cannot connect to HuiFei when in bootloader mode because adb does not see any device.
Instead, if I boot the unit and use Wifi ADB, then I can connect to the unit.
So, should I flash TWRP through wifi ADB with the unit booted, or should I do it through bootloader mode? I could probably do it via recovery, but I do not really know how (just do update from sd card and select the TWRP I downloaded from 1-2-hak ?) otherwise, how do I do it if my adb does not detect any device?
sorry for the basic questions, but it is the first time I am doing this...

You dont need bootloader to flash TWRP. You just need to know how to get there if something goes wrong.
Check this link http://www.freaktab.com/showthread....itions-from-android-No-PC-needed-For-rockchip
get the flash_image from the link.
the get your wifi adb going
do a
adb push flash_image /sdcard/flash_image
adb push TWRP_KGL-7650G /sdcard/TWRP_KGL-7650G
then i go to adb shell
usually just cp them to dev
cd /sdcard
cp flash_image /dev/flash_image
cp TWRP_KGL-7650G /dev/TWRP_KGL-7650G
then flash it
/dev/flash_image recovery /dev/TWRP_KGL-7650G
then if you want to test
reboot recovery
you will need an mouse attached.
I am gong to see if I can get the touch working in this when I get my unit back.
Do a backup of the whole system in TWRP.
Then you are pretty well set.
Not sure if you need original recovery to update new MCU.images. When i uploaded mine I just flashed back the original recovery in the same way.
You can back up the original recovery by the steps in the link above. Which is good to have a complete copy of what you have now before tinkering too.
Hope that helps.
v3 with init.d support!
Here are v3 images for both screen resolutions in both KGL and KLD variants:
KVV_KitKat_XRESxYRES_yymmdd_rooted_light_reparted_init.d_v3:
rooted:
- ClockworkMod's Superuser apk, su binary and root daemon (root daemon needed on 4.3+ roms)
reparted: (seems popular these days )
- system reduced from 768MB to 512MB
- oem reduced from 128MB to 64MB
- data increased from 1GB to 3GB
- internal sd in now a bit less than 4GB
removed apks:
- Gmail2 (available on Play Store)
- Maps (available on Play Store)
- GoogleSearch (available on Play Store)
- VoiceSearch (included in GoogleSearch on Play Store)
- Talkback (available on Play Store)
- Google TTS and its libs and files (available on Play Store)
- Adobe Reader and its libs (available on Play Store)
- Instructions (surely useless, not relevant and badly translated from chinese...)
- Chinese and Japanese Keyboards (also removed their libs that are now useless)
- Navgear (just a stupid shortcut to the selected nav app in settings...)
updated/added apks:
- Google Play Store (updated to latest version)
- Google Play Services (updated to latest version with libs correctly installed so no more Google Play Services errors! Fixed on 1024x600 v3.1 thanks to @ESTIMULO)
- Browser bookmarks sync adapter (added, missing in KLD and KGL)
- Google calendar sync adapter (added, missing in KGL)
- Google contacts sync adapter (added, missing in KGL)
modded:
- init.d support added (late in boot process so every external storages are mounted), you can drop your scripts to /etc/init.d (chmod 755)
- added compatibility symlinks for storage mount points (it may fix issues with apps using hard-coded path to access sdcards and usb, if not it won't hurt anywway!)
- flash_image binary by Androtab, with dump_image and erase image symlinks to flash/erase/dump full partitions (dump_image return an error at the end but you can ignore it, dump is valid)
IT WILL WIPE YOUR DATA AND INTERNAL SD so backup first!
Please note that 1024x600 versions are untested as I don't own such a device but it's modded the same way so it should work flawlessly.
Updated TWRP image
This is an updated Team Win Recovery Project image based on 2.7.0.0 by Abdul from freaktabs (most credits goes to him! )
Updated fstab to new KK part scheme (was mounting kpanic and oem instead of system and internal sd)
updated kernel, modules and config files (full SElinux support)
Still no touchscreen you have to use a mouse. I've spent days trying to make touchscreen work but no luck, I'm starting to think that touchscreen is handled by mcu which then emulates a touch device or some weird things like that...
Now with a 1024x600 image
Please note that 1024x600 version is untested as I don't own such a device but it's Updated the same way so it should work.

How to flash recoveries back and forth to backup/restore data over flashes
Install Jack Palevich's Terminal Emulator for Android from Play Store and use a root explorer to save the apk file to your sd card or usb storage.
Download flash_image binary and use a root explorer to copy it to /system/bin and change permission to 755 rwxr-xr-x (if you are on one of my modded fw it's already installed you can skip this step).
Launch Terminal Emulator and type su to gain root, then type cd /path/to/recovery/folder, then type flash_image recovery twrp.img
You now have twrp installed, type reboot recovery to reboot to twrp.
In twrp use a mouse and go to backup menu to backup data (do not backup to internal sd it will be formatted by update).
Now reboot to system and place update.img at the root of you external sd or usb storage but don't update if prompted
Launch Terminal Emulator and type su to gain root, then type cd /path/to/recovery/folder, then type flash_image recovery recovery.img
You now have standard recovery installed, type reboot recovery to reboot to recovery.
Now you can flash update.img from the menu using power button.
When back into Android use backed up Jack Palevich's Terminal Emulator for Android apk to reinstall it quickly without having to set up google account.
Launch Terminal Emulator and type su to gain root, then type cd /path/to/recovery/folder, then type flash_image recovery twrp.img
You now have twrp installed, type reboot recovery to reboot to twrp.
In twrp use a mouse and go to restore menu to restore data.

Just a quick update.
I have copied over multiple different SU using TWRP to my stock 1024 x 600 4.4.2 unit. All them result in the same thing. Superuser not being able to use it. I have confirmed its there, messed with permissions on su and the system folders.
On thing I noticed through the TWRP command line is that SELinux is enabled. So thinking I might to research that to figure out if I need to do anything to get around that.

I've updated the twrp image for 1024x600 with 100% scaling factor so it should fit the whole screen now. Grab it HERE if you want to try.
Why don't you just flash a superuser zip from twrp, it will take care of the files, permissions and starting the daemon for you. You can grab ClockworkMod's superuser installer here: http://download.clockworkmod.com/superuser/superuser.zip
Note:
You can get required files here: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3FXCUVt554Mb1Nnai14eWM2cWc/edit
This is not provided by me! I copied the link from @pakidermo5000's old OP-Post
With TWRP MCU-Updates are no longer possible!
Normally you do not need TWRP as any custom roms can and have to be flashed using original recovery

"Twrp image" Link is dead
Guy I know this is bringing up a thread from the dead but a question. I did install TWRP but my issue is when in TWRP to do a backup it is only backing up about 60MB of data even w/ all partitions chosen. It shows 0MB in data, is there a way I can back up the entire ROM like you can do on my android based phones w/ TRWP or CM recovery? Also I've read how to switch to stock recovery but whenn I go to TWRP and backup it just backs up TWRP backup files (ext4.win) no .img file is created. I think I just need a copy of the stock recovery.img and then i'd be golden. Am I wrong? If im not, does anyone know where I can find that?
Thanks
Dave

If you must here is a website where I got it (although not much you can do with it) be sure to have a mouse as the touch screen doesn't work. If you need to revert, which you will if you plan to update you will need to find a copy of the stock recovery.

rollback recovery stock
Hi.
Do you have any idea how to get back to the recovery stock version? I installed the TWRP under Rk3188 Stereo Card, it works fine but at the time of updating the file upgrade.img does not work.
Thanks you for your help.
I have a post on this somewhere. Search for it but here is what I have documented. Here is the joying stock recovery if that'll help you. https://www.dropbox.com/s/h5o46v24911nbsp/Joying stock recovery.img?dl=0 Same process as my post on installing TWRP on these except you use this image.
Dave
Ok, let me get this straight...
1. With TWRP you can't flash mcu.img (but you can flash update.img? how does this exactly work? how do I flash an update.img from TWRP? or do I lose the ability to flash update.img as well?)
2. The ROMs do not come with recovery images and overwrite TWRP? I thought they did, like other ROMs...

My guess is this post has to do with that link to the custom TWRP recovery and that it's all a scheme to get us to click through. He could easily post the mega.nz link directly. I might have to say this one is a false flag unless someone else can hopefully prove me wrong.

I will upload to personal server today. All methods work and been tested. Should not need decryption key for any files. Will post new links today.
All links have been updated and tested multiple times. If you can not get this to work it is something you are doing wrong. Either you do not have the MetroPCS variant or you did not follow directions. Make sure you are using the LG Leon MS345 10 d/e/y and you follow directions. I have personally tested these methods numerous times and all work without a problem. Thanks.
Do Not flash this on a LG Risio from Cricket. It will hard brick and no longer power on =( Flashes fine though, lol
I have that issue with supesu binary update. I finally got it to say installed successfully after trying to update it immediately after root checking. Although after i did the reboot kingroot showed up in the notification bar to root again. Any advice?

Oh also it messages me on *occasion* that another superuser is installed.
I rooted with Kingroot, used the Kingroot to Su script, installed Flashify to flash recovery.....all good right now.
Will it work for LG-H324t v10c Philippines?

Brother the links not working
All these links go to BS!
yes for some reason links arent working
Missing a Step
Step one go to Settings after that go to General then click Developer options and the final step is to Enable OEM unlock. this should get rid of the security error code 1003.

You guys are better off trying the XenonHD ROM. Much speedier than CM 12 at least on the MS345. Check it out here. Please be sure to read through the thread though. There are a few minor issues, especially with the camera not working, same with this CM 12 ROM. Third party camera apps may work though.
Hello XDA.
This afaik is where the gurus Nest, and I'd really appreciate some help.
MS 345 (leon)
Status/operability. (using windows 7)
Boot = loop / Fail. (optimizing app 1/31)
Download/Firmware Mode = accessible
Factory Reset = accessible, but avails nothing.
Android MTP device driver installation (Fails.)
LGE Mobile USB composite Device (Installs)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Background/info:
I want to either go stock on this phone, or get the system to forget about "optimizing apps" and actually BOOT.
LG suite cannot communicate with Device.
Flash tool will complete – but I cannot revert this an older version.
Phone uses a custom “Factory Reset” script/menu. Its all pretty whereas the usual stock android ones are text based only.
History :
( When it had original firmware
>>Brother Does his handiwork (Problem) phone hangs during MetroPCS logo Animation. Factory reset at this point avails nothing.
>>Flashed to later Revision of firmware from LG / Metro Rev b. to d.
>> Optimizing app 1/31 – goes to around 22, reboots before finishing. Endless.
My suspicion is that the phone doesn't have enough free space to do what it needs to re:moving operations Mind you, I'm a novice when it comes to the android realm, but i could not clear the cache due to the strange recovery menu / bootup rom LG uses.
At this point I reckon my options are :
1. Access the partitions directly using ADB / a partition tool and wipe the partition so I could flash it with the original OS.
Is this a viable option? (apparently NOT, because I cannot enable USB debugging)
I have downloaded and installed Android Studio, and even tried the stand alone SDK windows package.
Here where my obstacles:
ADB cannot see phone. command:adb Devices)
Again, People recommend putting phone into USB debug mode in Android>Settings. But that's not an option with a 'bricked' phone. I tried to manually install several drivers (for MTP) but none of them work, only the composite ones. But I didnt know whether MTP drive would be mandatory to access the partitions.
In my most recent attempt at fixing this phone, I've tried (or attempted) the instructions found on these pages:
(removed)
Strangely even though I can use the flash program and operate on the phone, I still cannot use ADB to access the phone so I can wipe the partitions.
If anyone knows how else I could REALLY wipe this Android, or think I am on the wrong Path. Please, please help.
ps. This guy said I CANNOT revert to a previous OS:

[RECOVERY] [NEW: CWM Graphics] CTR Recovery for Galaxy A5

CTR Recovery for Galaxy A5
Hi all,
I've ported CTR Recovery from the developer carliv (now bluefirebird) on our Galaxy A5.
This recovery is based on the old CWM, by koush, with some features you can find in the original post HERE, so if you are tired of the TWRP recovery and u are looking for something similar to the old CWM, don't hesitate to download this
NOTE: It should work in any A500 variant, but it's tested only on SM-A500FU variant, so flash on other variants at your own risk!
Desclaimer:
Code:
echo "I'm not responsable for bricked phones, overheat phones, for global warming, for phones that want to suicide without a reason and for imminent explosions"
DOWNLOADS: You can download the recovery here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=82499

[NEW] CTR with CWM graphics section
Well, since CWM support ended with cm-11.0, and no one resurrected it, I've decided to give my contributo to the best recovery (in my opinion) which written the begin of android customization, for flashing zip roms, take nandroid backups... So, as I said, since no one resurrected it, I've decided to modify ctr sources, which are based on CWM recovery and which are compilable in cm-12.1 and cm-13.0, for creating a recovery which has, CTR features, but which really like the old CWM.
-So, what does this version offer?
~If you want to know what does it include, please see read this (green highlighted text)
NOTE: If you want to compile with cwm recovery you need my fork which you can find here:
https://github.com/DeadSquirrel01/carliv_touch_recovery_new only cm-12.1 branch for the moment
Then you need to add in BoardConfig.mk (in the device tree) the following flag:
USE_CWM_GRAPHICS := true
otherwise it will compile standard CTR
Flashing instuctions:
Look at "HOW TO FLASH" section
Download Link: Same as CTR recovery link, but you have to download the ones wich have a name which begins with "[CWM]"
OTHER NOTE: Since I've compiled CTR with CWM graphich with an half crapped cm-12.1 source tree, and adb doesn't work (except in sideload), I couldn't take screenshot, so, I've uploaded some photos, instead, which are taken with my ~4 years ago Samsung Galaxy Pocket, so don't flame me for bad quality , and since I tried to upload in attachments, but it doen't show the photo when clicking on the attachment, I've upload a zip with 4 screenshots
HERE (Google Drive Link)

CTR: https://github.com/carliv/carliv_touch_recovery_new
CTR with CWM graphics: https://github.com/DeadSquirrel01/carliv_touch_recovery_new branch cm-12.1 only for the moment and you need to add "USE_CWM_GRAPHICS := true" in BoardConfig.mk
Changelog
03/09/2016 (update N2):
_ Add menu color change: you can now change highligh+text color to 3 different colors: blue (default), green or orange.
See my github commit for info, I wrote some awesome comments
06/10/2017 (Update N3):
_Save menu color setting to /sdcard/clockworkmod/cwm_config, so that it's not lost on reboot, resulting a recovery which has always the blue color, even if the user has chosen orange or green.
Thanks for this contribution, try it just have time. For now, I walk with your version of TWRP working well. This CTR Recovery is compatible for install ROMs Marshmallow (Base Stock and CM13 Based)? Cheers.

Nice Recovery.. Succesfully rooted my stock 6.0.1 by flashing supersu (you can flash this file to root on any android which have custom recoveries) on this recovery. It is like stock recovery but with a lot of features.
@DeadSquirrel01 works well on A500F (Duos). Also i tried to get stuck in recovery mode with no succes . So i can say it`s better than twrp. I was waiting for this moment since i got the phone . Many many thanks! Cheers!

LE2: Some feedback - mount usb storage doesn`t do anything (yes i have sdcard). Also no adb support. So is kinda impossible to push files into phone while it`s in recovery...

Personally i`m more with CWM.. Simple and yet so complex. TWRP is a bit more polished on the UI side, but that bug that keeps me in the recovery drives me crazy [emoji35] . This CTR recovery it`s able to reset the flag and push the device out of recovery... So it`s better IMO.
Anyway i read here and there that Nougat based roms can be flashed in CWM 6.0.5.x so i`ll try to port Philz latest recovery on our device, since i had it for years on my retired devices. Thanks for all your work and for the source!

Thanks... It`s on my todo list but i don`t have enough time to do anything now. About the adb - shouldn`t be same thing? What`s the difference between adb in linux and windows? Wait to switch linux to test. Could also be something specific to my device since you made the recovery for FU and i have F.. Cheers!
So i rebooted in linux and here`s the output:
Code:
[email protected] ~ $ adb devices
List of devices attached
???????????? no permissions
[email protected] ~ $ adb shell
error: insufficient permissions for device
And when tryin` to Mount USB Mass storage this is the output:
Code:

mount: /dev/sr1: can't read superblock
I have 32gb class 10 sdcard formatted as fat32.. And from what i see it tries to mount as vfat, this for sure is from the fstab..
Any ideas?

I have been told rooting and installing a good ROM can help with this and I have never attempted this, could someone please explain what rooting and ROMs are and their benefits and a how to guide for this phone and also the best ROM?
I know there are loads of threads on this but if someone could link me best threads I would be eternally gratefull!!
First of all, which variant of LG L90 is your phone (D4xx)? And could you go to Menu > General > About Phone > Software Information and tell me your "version" (v10x or v20x)?
Root is the ability for the user to take total control of his phone, from doing as little as automate 3G activation when an app is open to instaling custom ROMs, which are custom firmwares that you can install in your device, just like the stock one you're currently in, but with some modifications made by its creators. As for advantages, with root you have more freedom over your device, and with Custom ROMs you have some tweaks, which change depending on the ROM you choose to install, going from just porting newer firmwares to older devices to being an entire new OS (Operational System, in case you don't know).

Thank you soo much for your reply and sorry about my late reply. My variant is LG-D405n and software version is V20c-234-30. I think I understand what Root and ROM is thx.
So could you link me to the best method to root and install ROM on my phone?
And what is the best ROM for my device to free up the RAM and CPU used on my device to increase my phone speed?
First of all, install these required apps:
http://king.myapp.com/myapp/kdown/img/NewKingrootV4.9.6_C151_B309_en_release_2016_08_18_105203.apk (For rooting)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.flashify (For flashing the Custom Recovery)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jackpal.androidterm (For terminal emulation)
Custom Recovery:
TWRP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=18679&task=get
Personally recommended Custom ROM, CyanogenMod (Ports Android updates to older phones plus some tweaks) and Gapps (Google Apps, it's needed to have things like calculator, play store, etc):
CM13: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/get/jenkins/175208/cm-13.0-20160820-SNAPSHOT-ZNH5YAO0J8-w7.zip
Gapps: http://opengapps.org/ (Go to this link, select ARM in platform, 6.0 in android and Nano in variant, then just click the download image button)
Put the TWRP img, the CM13 rom img and gapps on microSD or internal storage. Open Kingroot and click on the green button after the 3 introduction images. After a few minutes, your device will be rooted. Grab this file: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-...0w7xxshoxx-t2826150/post54358527#post54358527 (D405n_v20a_patched_aboot, don't worry, it's okay if you flash a different software version aboot as long as it's the same device as yours. The only "problem" you can have is to have your software version changed to v20c, which if I remember correctly, can be fixed using Bootstacks), transfer it to your phone and open Terminal Emulator. Then input the following commands:
su
dd if=(aboot.bin storage directory) of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/aboot
Then, go to flashify and flash your custom recovery image (TWRP or CWM) in the flash recovery img option. After this, reboot into recovery by pressing Volume Down + Power and when you see the LG Logo, let go of the Power button and press it again. Then select yes two times with the volume keys for selection and power button to actually select the options (Don't worry, your device won't be factory resetted if you successfully installed custom recovery). Then, if you want, make a backup of your entire phone (recommended, just in case something goes wrong or if you just want your apps back when the process is done) in the Backup section and then do a factory reset through the Wipe option (Don't select anything, just swipe the bar). Select the Install option and select your ROM zip. After this, do the same process as the ROM installation but this time with Gapps zip. There you go, now you have CM13 installed. If you want root again, you don't have to install Kingroot again this time, as CM13 has built-in root, just enable Developer options and activate root and you're ready to go. Also, if you want the apps you had before the installation, just restore your backup (ONLY THE DATA PARTITION, otherwise CM13 will be uninstalled and replaced with stock ROM). If something goes wrong and you accidentally brick your device, just reply and I'll help you fix it. (If helped, click the Thanks! button)

I don't know what to do here..
EDIT: Also am I meant to have the SuperSU/SuperUser app installed once rooted? Then get a popup in the terminal emulator for permission for its root access?

You have to change "(aboot.bin storage directory) with the directory in which aboot.bin is stored. And no, you don't need SuperSU, when you use the su command, a KingRoot window will open, just say yes.
EDIT: Wahay! It works! Thank you soo much for your help!
EDIT 2: I can't seem to find the option to edit my recent button in settings. What can I do?

If it's the menu button, I don't know of any way to change them, as Android updates change them. For example, my phone in KitKat used the home button for recent apps, in Lollipop it used the menu button for recent apps, and when I installed CM13, it used the home button again.
EDIT: Browsing LG L90 xda, I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/themes-apps/mod-button-remaps-l90-t3145146

You have helped me out so much already! Thank you so much!
But just one more thing though, could you explain how to install magisk and xposed in layman's term so I can use Android Pay?
I don't know what magisk is nor layman's term, but to install Xposed just go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811, download both Xposed installer apk and xposed zip. Install xposed apk and flash xposed zip
Hello,
Help me please I'm getting Error 7 and after twrp reflash Error executing updater binary in zip
I did all the previus steps phone LG L90 d405n is rooted and bootloader is unlocked and rom downgraded to KK v10b
Now I want to flash CM or RR rom but I simply can't!
First I was getting error 7 when flashing I found out that I need TWRP 2.8.7 build 2 to flash so I found it and flashed. Now I'm getting ''error executing updater binary in zip twrp'' and I can't flash any rom.?*
I tried deleting first assert lines in updater-script from this?*thread?*but It didn't helped in any way...
Any ideas? Why the hell it is so ****ing complicated to flash custom on this ****ty device? Can't it work like Nexus4 or any other normal device??*
Thanks in advance for any tips&trics
PS. I can't open new thread dunno why...

First of all, you don't need to use that TWRP build, you can use the latest one. To fix the only errors that should appear (Updater error 7 and 6), delete the first lines of updater-script until you reach the ui_print part (the first line of your file should be "ui_print("Target: 1471683591");"). Also, delete any double spaces that exist (there should be two, one before "abort" at line 27 and the other before "abort" at line 30). If it still gives the same error, try wiping Cache, data, system and dalvik-cache partitions, try to install the ROM, it'll give the error. Now, reboot your phone and try to install without wiping anything. (To properly see the line indications, open the file using Notepad++)
