Custom ROM with themes?
HI!
Does your ROM includes a theme system? If so, that's the cause...
I've been looking for an answer too and I found this thred at GitHub. I haven't post much so I have no rights to post URLs as links for now... Please copy paste the following link:
PHP:
https://github.com/rovo89/XposedInstaller/issues/178
There we can read the following:
rovo89 commented on 19 may 2014 said:
ok, that's it then. Some roms have theming engines that conflict with xposed. I'm looking for solutions, but meanwhile, please use the "disable resources api" setting in the installer. You might not be able to use some modules, but most should still work.

Doing so enables Xposed and that rebooting red message dissapears. However many modules are not functional if this adjustment is set in the configuration, so it's useless...
As far as I understand, there is no fix forthat issue then. So you can try another ROM with no themes system.
I hope this has been helpful for you =)

Uninstall xposed installer apk, install xposed installer apk, reboot.

you DID reboot after installing xposed

Hello
framework should be installed manually i think

Xposed for our Razr I

Tungstwenty is in develogment to build a X86 Version of Xposed and i had tested it.
Unfortunately, there is problems and Tungstwenty can´t solve the problem.
The good news:
I know what the problem is - your x86 ROM includes JIT support in the Dalvik VM, and xposed was compiled without JIT support as it's what the AOSP sources use for x86 specifically.
That's the reason for the crash.
The bad news:
I have no idea how to get the AOSP code to compile the dalvik code with JIT support on x86. It fails with the 4.1.2 sources, and also 4.2.1.
On the other hand, with the latest 4.2.2 it appears to compile properly.
I'll give it another shot and try compiling once I grab the android-4.1.2_r2 branch, on which your ROM might be based and with luck might have working JIT support on x86...
EDIT: No luck, android-4.1.2_r2 doesn't compile either
Either the reported version is wrong or the code used by the XT890 is different from AOSP

xposed framework + gravity installation on stock rom

Anyone has a foolproof guide to install xposed framework on a stock rom?
I tried the normal installation but it doesnt work(resources subclass), should i try flashing it through twrp recovery?
P.s. i have full root and i am on 133sp01 official.
No way at this moment to full use xposed because isn't compatible with Huawei ROMs. It crashing HW launcher.
To solving it you should disabled resources hooks but some modules want it to properly working.
2.5.1 and lower versions allowing to enable hooks but still launcher is crashing.

Normall installation or flash with twrp?
to me if I work well:
*
Having eliminated the set-immutablelist
*
Xposed framework version 2.5. dl.xposed.info/modules/de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v28_8b8a7e.apk (not let me put Link)
*
Once you have installer Xposed Installer, select Framework, you click Install / Update and then restart the phone.
*
After restarting really in Framework already have Active 50 and 46 as well as Included.
*
Now if you are looking for the download and GravityBox (KK) version 2.9.0, download and install.
*
Remember that each downloaded module must be activated in modules and restart.
*
And other modules. If you are interested in Greenify and Intelli3G you the download Play and then install and active in modules.
a greeting

If you want to hide the navbar use GMD auto hide from the store, its not perfect but it works.
Why do you want to change the navbar size Its fine as it is.
Also it seemed skimming through the thread you are willing to introduce more bugs and issues into the system and potentially brick your device just to get these 2 features? Don't risk more issues your phone for a few minor visual tweaks learn to live with what you have.

Can Someone Help Me to Install Xposed Correctly?

I got Samsung Galaxy S3 and am on Android 4.3 (JB). I installed Xposed from the link below. But when I download and install modules, nothing happens. I also get an error saying the following:
"Make sure Xposed frameword is installed, this module is enabled on Xposed installer and reboot."

In your Xposed Installer app, head to "Framework" then Install. Your phone should install the framework and reboot. After that go to the app, enable the modules you want to, and reboot your phone again
Also you have to be rooted

Hi there!
I just installed xposed on my galaxy J5 SM-J500FN and is working. I used the following procedure:
1) Go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811 and download XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk from attachments. Install it, but don't open it.
2) Now go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960 and download xposed-v79.0-sdk22-arm-custom-build-by-wanam-20151217.zip and xposed-uninstaller-20151217-arm.zip from attachments.
Go to recovery (TWRP) and flash xposed-v79.0-sdk22-arm-custom-build-by-wanam-20151217.zip. Now reboot and wait some minutes. I waited 5 minutes or so.
IF you get bootloop, you go back to recovery and flash xposed-uninstaller-20151217-arm.zip.
If you reboot successfully, go to Xposed Installer, then to Framework and there should say that Xposed Framework is active (check my screenshot attached to this post ). If it say that is active, now you can install xposed modules.
Enjoy!
If you are on stock rom, there is a list with xposed modules working on touchwiz 5.0.1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-verizon/general/xposed-modules-touchwiz-lollipop-t3123801 . Although that list is for 5.0.1, and I have 5.1.1 in my j5, I'm looking at it as an example. Maybe there are more modules working on touchwiz, but need testing to find out which one of them.
LIST OF WORKING MODULES:
Code:
- XPrivacy
- AppOpsXposed
- Boot Manager
- Obb on SD[/URL]
- APM+
- Gpm notification seek bar[L-M]
- ScreenOffAnimation
Thank you @22rp420 for confirming some xposed modules!

@22rp420 : read this post too
At this moment I'm using XPrivacy + AppOpsXposed + Boot Manager + Obb on sd. I've tried two modules with theming too and wasn't working. I think we need an deodexed rom for theming. I've made a deodexed & debloated stock rom, but I can't try xposed on it at this moment.
I will upload it once I have access to my PC. I was also planning to make an custom rom with many themes available and other things, but I will see.
Anyway, the stock rom debloated, deodexed and zipaligned feel faster, mostly because bloatware are removed and it also boot and shutdow faster. Also, there is more internal space available.
I need to backup my stuff from the stock rom and then switch to deodexed one and then I'll try the xposed modules with theming.
I'll upload the stock rom deodexed, zipaligned and debloated once I have access to PC ( upcoming days).
People, please post the modules which you found that are working on our J5, so later we will make a list. But don't write the ones which are wrote already. Thank you!

[Guide] Install Xposed/Rooting Op3 Open Beta 7

Looking for Xposed on open beta 7
Well I HV got you covered with this simple short Guide
Many people get error / status 1 wile flashing normal Xposed.zip
This method will install magisk and Xposed framework
First download files which are required:
Magisk V9: Click Here
Xposed Installer zip: Click Here
PhhSuper user zip: Click Here
PhhSuper user : Click Here
Xposed installer: Click Here
Twrp Modified: Click Here
Now Flash
1)Modified Twrp
2)Magisk V9
3)SuperSu (Optional)
4)And Xposed Installer zip
5)Reboot ( First reboot will take some time )
Install PhhSuper followed by Xposed installer apk
Done
* Xposed is not fully compatible with Nov Security Patches yet, so some modules would end you up in a bootloop!!
You can though update to latest version of Xposed(System less) via the app itself.
System will reboot twice when you flash SuperSU
Rovo89 has released new Xposed framework version that works with latest beta built v7 of OOS. I've just tried it and it work.
First uninstall few unwanted apps which you don't use if you get error like no space etc..

Only certain modules work like youtubeadaway, certain ones will won't let you pass the boot screen, like greenify xposed
A few steps are missing !
- Flash your favorite kernel on top of this.
- Finally enjoy the best performance and battery life on your phone.
Oops I almost forgot the final step !
- Complain to the kernel developer and ask him to fix:
....the battery drain.
...the slow fingerprint reader
...the phone overheating
...the random reboots
...the weak wifi signal
...any strange behaviour that needs fixing
Any list of working modules ?

I know that but my question is: does this method bypass Google's November Security Patch? Xposed doesn't work for this reason..

This post was not required at all IMO. Flashing and using Xposed is totally one's choice and people are totally aware that Xposed means no support from kernel/ROM devs. But why this unrequired bashing?

I totally agree that people have the choice to flash and install whatever they want, this is certainly the main reason why we love android. However many people root, flash Xposed and more recently magisk without understanding the implications. Those are amazing pieces of software, really powerful and I have a huge respect for the developers. However I don't think anyone should flash those without a basic understanding of what they do to the system. (And why it means no support from kernel/ROM devs).
My post was mainly a parody of the current discussions in the forums. Simply, look at this thread, it's supposed to be a guide to help people and make things easier for everyone. Most of the replies should be something like 'thanks it works great', not confused people or with issues (like bootloops for example....)
