Task switcher in lollipop - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I suddenly feel like a total noob. I've just upgraded to stock lollipop.
I can't decide whether it is a bug after upgrade or whether I don't have a clue.
I cannot access recent apps. I've tried double tapping the home button, sliding up from the home button, (thought that was the Google Now shortcut) and neither seem to do anything. I really miss task switcher. Can someone tell me whether I'm doing anything wrong, or is there a bug in the stock rom?
Many thanks,

Can anyone just confirm that I should be switching between recent apps by double tapping the home physical button on stock lollipop?
Thanks

[Q] Longpress Home Google Now changeable ?

Sup,
When you longpress the Home button you can swipe it up to the Google Now.
I don't really like this Google Now. It would be way better if you could start any App via Home button. i.e Camera.
So does anyone know of a fix/hack/mod to change Google now ?

but thr s not longpress on home button it s just swipe up from everywhr on bottom bar
and i don think on stock rom maybe u can change it by custom rom like CM
check feature of CM10.1 for xperia Z

You're right. But Longpress also works ^^
Ah well, I'll wait for official 4.2 and switch toa custom ROM then.
Hey @Haldi4803
I suggest you take a look at the excellent Slide Launcher which allows for launching multiple custom actions, including camera app, quicktext a contact, etc.
If all you want is launch a single app, no question asked, you may use Home Button Launcher
that looks awesome! Thx dude!

[Q] Sense Home Button Functionality on AOSP

So on the Sense 4.2.2 ROMS, the home button works like this:
-Double Tap brings up recent apps
-Long Press brings up menu
-Swiping up brings up Google Now
So my question is this: Is it possible to bring this same functionality to the Google Edition Rom, or any other AOSP Rom for that matter?
And if so, can anyone help me down the right path?
THANKS!
I know this is a but old but bumping because I really want swipe up from home as google now on CM10.1:good:

there are many software keys customisations on aosp roms for long and shortpress, but I think there is no double tap feature...is the only thing missing to set up keys like you want...
can't you map keys in other way? i think that swiping up for gnow is impossible on aosp

I can and have but it's less intuitive than that sense way maybe just because I got used to that first but it did seem to work better, holding down menu for google now is not great especially since menu is already a bit jumpy with not actually being a real button

[Q]Google now in recent apps

Is the a way to see the extra bar on the recent apps that appears on stock ROM in a CM 10.2 ROM?
I really miss that feature, to search in google now just by long pressing the home button and to be able to see all the recent apps.
Edit: I found a way, by double tap home button

Remap capacitive Buttons??

Hi,
Quick question since moving from the N3 to N4 it was pretty smooth transition. Except for the some irksome things like changing compactive menu button to recent apps. Is their an app that i can use to change it back to menu instead of recent apps?

long press the recent apps button and it acts like a menu button
other then that i am not sure, though it should be a feature you can change eventually and i believe the word you are looking for is capacitive buttons.

[Q] Double click home button to open multitasking

Is there anyway to change it from the default short hold the home button to double click the home button? Thanks.
On stock I could never get double tap for recents working using xposed which is the only way I know to try. As for custom roms they have the ability built in. Maybe things have improved so try using an xposed module to get the double tap
Sadly, I use ART on stock so no Xposed. I'll be waiting around.
