LED Control
• So what does it do?
Lets the user select kernel specific "charging triggers" for the device's LED which will make it light up when plugged in depending on the specific "charging triggers"
• Why this app?
Well all of these triggers can be set from the command line, but I found it to be very cumbersome and tedious. Motivated by my laziness, I created this app. Although it was intended for the Moto G, I discovered that it would also work on Moto X, E and Nexus 6 too, theoretically on any device which has a "charging" LED.
• Features:
Clean and simple UI (I have tried my best to make it Material Design compliant)
Brightness Slider: Control your 'charging' LED's brightness while charging, if your device supports it. Currently works only on Moto X and Nexus 6.
Set On Boot [PRO only] : Automatically sets the last chosen trigger on a reboot, since the values are reset each time the kernel restarts. Available in Pro version only.
Available triggers: (You may not see all in your device)
While Charging
While Charging through Adapter
Battery Full
While Charging or Battery Full
While Charging (Blnking) or Battery Full
While connected to USB
When Display is on
On Internal Storage I/O Activity
On External Storage I/O Activity
When flashlight (rear LED) is on NEW
When camera flash (rear LED) is on NEW
When Bluetooth is enabled NEW
Always on NEW
* ROOT ACCESS IS REQUIRED *• Instructions:
Grant Root access on first run
Enable the Master Switch
Select a trigger and optionally choose brightness.
Plug in your charger and see the magic
There are different triggers for different devices, so try experimenting
• Screenshots: (from Pro Version) (Screenshots are outdated; will update soon)
NOTE:
This will 'enable' the hidden LED on your Moto X/Nexus 6. This app cannot set it to be used for notifications; it can only use it as a charging indicator.
The Brightness slider will not work on devices where there's a kernel limitation on setting the brightness- specifically the Moto G and Moto E.
Moto G and Moto X in this whole post refer to 2013 models only, I have not tested on 2014 models.
The app is tested and confirmed working on Nexus 6, Moto G, E, X and Droid Ultra/MAXX. However, it may also work on a Motorola phone other than the above, so give it a try, can't hurt

P.S: Since I'm utterly new to Android/Java programming this app took me several hours spanned over several weeks to build. But it was an awesome experience and I had a heck of a time coding it. :good:
I look forward to making more apps in 2015.
• Reporting Compatibility: If this app works on your device, and its not among the ones mentioned above, please reply to this thread with your device's details or send me a PM.
• Source: This app is open source too! Grab it on Github here. Feel free to take a look and suggest fixes to imperfections, if any.
• WARNING
This app has the potential of blocking your notification LED if you use a Moto G/ Moto E (a separate LED blinks just beside the dedicated charging LED but you might not notice it).
Please be aware that I (KDB223), nor XDA nor anyone but you yourself are responsible for the consequences of you missing an important notification due to this app.

notification led
I have Motorola droid maxx (xt1080) device running android 4.4.4. I purchased this second hand device few days ago in karachi. Its led notification is not working. Some sites says that this set does not have led notification led and some sites say that it do have a notification light. I have gone through the manual of this phone and found that this phone does have a notification led that works in low battery.
Does after rooting this device and installing the above program will switch the notification light on? And is there any way to root android 4.4.4 version?
Thanks

The app does what it is intended to do. but the master switch stays enabled even after removing the app. so you have to disable the switch before removing app if you don't want it on.

Make pls triggers while missed calls and missed messages

The screen stays on when you need it. Finally you can read in peace! Works with all brands of phones and tablets. Note: S for Switch Voice Pro includes this functionality built in.
Let me explain:
Have you ever been annoyed by the display constantly turning off on you while you were trying to read or watch something?
It turns off → you turn it on right away → it turns off again → you keep turning it back on... GRRRR!
Of course you could set the display timeout higher...
...but then the battery will drain quicker
Samsung owners, you can enable SmartStay which will watch your eyes...
...but only if it's bright enough for it to actually see you
Extra Time solves these in a brilliantly simple way: you can set the display timeout to a low enough value, and Extra Time will temporarily extend it when necessary:
►RE-ON: when you turn on the screen within 3 seconds after it got turned off, Extra Time will extend the screen timeout, so you can keep reading without worrying about it turning off again (ReOn as in "ON again", get it?)
►SMARTER-STAY: it measures the ambient light level, and increases the display timeout if it detects there isn't enough light for SmartStay to work reliably.
►Your original timeout will be restored the next time the screen turns off.
Save battery power by having the default display timeout set to the minimum 15 or 30 seconds, and still have the screen on long enough when you need it.
USAGE
Very simple to use. Just install the app, start it, and forget about it.
Note: Turn off SmarterStay if you don't want the screen timeout to increase when the phone is used in the dark.
PERMANENT NOTIFICATION
Since Android version 4.0, memory resident apps need to inform users (you!) that they reside in memory. Extra Time creates a permanent notification, but no icon is shown unless you pull the notification shade down. It is also possible to hide the notification all together by long pressing on it, selecting "App info" and un-checking the "show notifications" option.
If you decide to keep the notification,
►you will have an easy way to access settings
►the optional toast notification will not appear regardless of the setting
PREMIUM UPGRADE
The current version of Extra Time will work forever without limitations, but it will remind you of its presence once or twice a week. Support my work with a buck (one time in app purchase), and you can really forget about it, except you keep enjoying the benefits! Buy once, use on all your current and future devices!

In app billing
This small (but growing) tool is my first attempt at utilizing Google's in-app-billing. I made the app to be available for free, and didn't implement any way to stop it's functionality even after an extensive test period. But I have included a friendly reminder of how many times it actually helped and an easy way to chime into the development of this and similar utilities.
The only incentive is that the reminder will appear every few days, when the screen is turned on. We will see how many people appreciate the service of this little convenience tool to participate. In this sense it's an experiment.
In app billing
There are different schools on in app billing. I decided to go in the "user respecting" direction. I don't like apps which walk out on you when you need them the most, because they couldn't check your license. I implemented the license checking, so that the premium status is only revoked if my app can successfully talk to the Google servers and confirm that the in app product have been refunded. Even then, the app will not revert to the "trial" version, only the next time it is started.
I set the price to the lowest value in each country, but of course the app has only one specific purpose, even if it aims to implement it at the highest quality.

Nice! Keep up the good work sir.
Sweet! Thanks homie
This app works great so far on my Nexus 6. I have a suggestion. Can you change the colour of the LED to red while it's charging, and then turn to green when it's fully charged? It's just like the charger on macbook air, which lets you know the battery status just by looking at the LED.

Oh nice. Will try it out and let you know!
EDIT: I'm not able to get the red LED working while the phone is charging. It just shows the green one.
On a positive note, TricksterMOD is allowing the LED to blink while charging! Although it's just green for now.

That's the same thing as choosing the 'While Charging (blinking)..' trigger in my app I suppose.

I have these settings enabled. If I apply these settings, I don't get any LED notifications. If I select battery charging option in the charging column, the green LED works.
Thanks by the way for your help!

Light Flow is an awesome app, but I believe its very cumbersome to get it working properly with the Nexus 6 and Motorola devices in general. LED Control, on the other hand was made specifically for Motorola devices, so you should have no problems
Looks like this didn't work yet on 5.1, no options to choose from

Will buy if pro works on 5.1. I hate light flow right now
@KDB223

I'm on 5.1 stock rom, with the last franco kernel, the pro app is not working, like at all

TurboPower service for custom ROMs

This is a mod of TurboToast. But as I didn't like to have a launcher icon (I use Pixel Launcher, can't hide it) and a lot of stuff, I modded it to make it look like the Motorola one.
This was made to run on custom ROMs (obviously) with root access. The application hides its icon from your launcher once you open it (on Pixel Launcher you need to wait a few seconds to make it disappear).

This missing notification was noticed on a custom ROM thread for Moto X style / pure that the turbo charging feature wasn't being indicated while using the CR with a factory turbo charger. So glad to have run across your thread and apk.
Your not giving us much info on this apk and what's to benefit from it - VT says it's clean. What benefits other than the notification can be seen? Does it give a factual true turbo charging indication of the turbo charger -or- only sense that the turbo charger is being used with a custom rom. If indeed the device is (rapidly) turbo charging, then may you add special coloring or "true" to the turbo popup notification? That feature would help the users of your apk to know a difference in facts. Edit Add: I see there is more here from where the mod comes TurboToast .
Testing for a short time and only very limited instances today - seems to hook into the TurboPower service giving you a quick Turbo charging is connected popup when phone is on and while your on the Home screen.
Same is true, when dis-connected giving you a quick Turbo charged to % of the battery state popup when phone is on and while your on the Home screen.
But is it only sensing the T charger or is the turbo charging actually happening on the device? Give to users a somewhat false hope/reading - then in that turbo charging is occurring?
Edit Add: See the two screenshots here of the Temperature and Voltage changes.
Seems to only work and shows the notifications with the turbo chargers use, as I tried it also with a simple A/C charger and with a USB cable from PC - thus I didn't see the turbo charging popups. (makes me think it's really working accurately with turbo charging).
Doesn't work/show turbo popups while the phone is off or the phone is on and in the lock screen, with using the factory turbo charger.
I can't say how far it's being from accurate to a Stock ROM and a device that has the turbo charging feature and a factory turbo charger - in this reality of the Turbo charging mode feature especially on the Moto X style / pure experience.
(wasn't on stock rom long enough to notice)
It's seems to getting you closer though with that notification experience of turbo charging on a custom rom for those that miss the popup notification with turbo charging of the factory chargers use.
Thank you :good:
@dgadelha Thanks for this wonderful app. This works like a champ on the NucleaROM which I have been running for some time and have noticed much slower charging times. I use and app called AMPERE to measure voltage times, etc. Before and after screenshots of your apk. Thanks again!

Hi can you send me apk link of your led trigger (root) version before you release the led trigger UI
Led Trigger (BLUE)
Donate to me with paid version, it's available on Led Trigger (BLUE)
Fix led notification for Lenovo P1/Turbo when using custom rom. this application tested on AospExtended ROM V5.5/6 Oreo, LineageOS 14.1 Nougat, and many others.
Why blue led ? because only special blue led color can dimming smoothly, that supported from led driver.
Requirements :
- Rooted device
- Allow notification access in special app access settings
- Dont forget to grant root access
Features:
- Better than free version
- No battery drain
- Doze mode/deepsleep supported
- Led dimming smoothly
- Better led charging detection
- No cpu usage when dimming
- Using builtin commands from led driver
- Support android O and later
- Low ram usage
- No UI/Activity for smaller apk size
- No setting needed
Permission Agreements :
- Root, because rom developer set rw-rw-r-- permission, not allowing me to change led configuration from non rooted devices).
- Wakelock, because this app using modules from JobIntentServices libs, it's managed by system
- Notification access, for detecting coming notification then triggering notification led on/off, and i don't read or collect any content from it.
Sources :
- Icon, from default android studio icon templates
- SU, how to su by chainfire
Led trigger UI works great for me!!! thanks dude i have an AOSP EXtended 8.1 v5.7 rom
Hi, I will try your app on my phone, but I'm currently maintaining a LineageOS 14.1 for another Lenovo phone (Vibe K5+) where I have a notification led problem, and I wondered if you can tell me in which files I can look to fix it ?
The problem I have is that when charging battery, the color does not change according to configuration when charged.
Thanks for your help !

Yellow tint/Green tint Brightness Issue Fix (Exynos Only)

Many Galaxy devices have a Serious issue.
You can't adjust brightness and your display is greenish and not usable.
After many years of hard work and researching.
I found the best and free method to fix this issue
The world first solution without replacing the display.
This will help you to get a 100% usable display.
I spent lot of hard time for this.
Today I will show how to fix this issue by flashing a custom ROM and some small stuff
- There is a way to use Samsung stock roms but it's not stable if anyone interested in that please let me know I will help -

First of all your device must be the Exynos model
1) Install TWRP
2) Make a EFS backup (very important)
3) Download and install (flash) any Aosp ROM,
(Evolution x ROM recommended)
4) Root your device (if ROM already have Root you're good to go)
5) Download Color changer pro & pwmfree Apk files (can't provide download links for color changer pro because it's a paid app you can find it somewhere on internet for free) Asop roms doesn't limit maximum brightness but Samsung roms does. So after flashing aosp ROM you can easily bypass display flickering issue by setting brightness to maximum amount easily by brightness slider top on notification panel.
6) (VERY IMPORTANT) install PWMfree and give notification permissions and display overly permissions.
- DON'T USE YOUR DEVICE AT MAXIMUM BRIGHTNESS WITHOUT USING THIS APP !
This app helps you to decrease amount of brightness by adding a black overly on your display it's working like your adjusting screen Brightness.
7) after installing color changer pro and open it you will ask Root permission and there will be a custom 1,2,3 tabs touch and hold to edit values my best adjustment is R: 239 , G:238 , B: 255 , S: 1.00
And it depends on your display and your choice just slowly play with it till you get the best results and make sure you save the values
Enable developer mode and set all animations to off this will help when screen is dimming while screen timeout.
"Every time you reboot your device it's adjusting the brightness auto and fix itself (pwmfree)
But after every reboot just open color changer pro and select your custom mode it's only need to set if you only reboots"
- There is a way to use Samsung stock roms but it's not stable if anyone interested in that please let me know I will help -
That's all your device is so much better than before
Thanks me later..
No need to install anything, its hardware issue not software issue.
Only reliable fix is to turn on AlwaysOn to always show, let it go to normal color after locking display and wake it with press on home button not a hardware button, works like a charm.
Without installing any third party apps with suspicious wakeups and logs.
No hard feelings tho.

brother every display is not the same
your display is not hardly damaged
And the issue is the display flex cable this method will work for same devices but not for all devices i have played with this for 4 years and you are correct if the display is not hardly damaged.
I can show you if there is a doubt about it because i tried your method long time ago its worked for Galaxy note 10+ but didnt worked for galaxy s9 plus & note 9 but worked for another note 8.
If your method didnt help this is the last method you can try other than rreplacing the display flex cable (our country there is no place to replace the flex only opinion is to replace the display)
