[Q] How do i fix un root?

I'm new to this guys. A quick run down is this.
Downloaded rom manager pro, root explorer, titanium back up and mobile odin pro. Along with the relevant cf root file zip and followed instructions.
Rooted s3 no problem.
Uninstalled and then re installed superSU through play store. No problem.
Through rom manager, made a back up through TWRP.
Flashed the galaxy project onto phone no problem.
Now superSU is saying i need the SU binary installed.
Rom manager can't find any back ups. Root checker is saying that my phone is not rooted which explains why titanium back up isn't able to do anything.
So now i'm thinking lets start fresh...go back to odin and re root. Well Odin CANNOT see my phone in download mode. Only when the phone is in normal operating mode it can be seen which is really weird. When i went into settings to look at <about device> i can no longer see the imei number or whatever it was. Not even sure if thats normal.
So.....What have i done wrong?? and how am i able to salvage this?
Can anyone help??
Uninstall SU reboot then reinstall reboot and all should be well

I have also tried removing the battery for 10 minutes...still no good.
Unistall the update, then re-install and reboot
Flash this update (the zip file) for supersu in twrp and enjoy

sorry to be a pain mate but odin is not recognising my phone when in download mode. Not sure but i think this is a soft brick?
If your trying to fix supersu you can flash that zip in TWRP. I'm not sure how to fix Odin problems.

Click the labda and download the app. open it and click make it rain.
afterwards your phone should restart and you should be rooted. Then you van download Superuser from the playstore.

This should probably be done using Odin on the PC. There are multiple tutorials on how to do this for your phone specifically, so I will not go in to much detail yet, but basically the way it works is that you flash a recovery using Odin and use the app on your phone to restart in the recovery.
The broken start button does make everything a bit more complicated, but it definately is possible.
Never forget, Google is your friend (And me to ofcource)

Hey guys

The problem is some app does not work properly for example greenify does not hibernate anything.......supersu or super user displays error while installing (asking for reboot) ,,,busy box shows error while installing (choose different location).
can some one help me in assessing that ( is my phone rooted properly),
however king root grants are successful.

u have to replace the provided su of kingroot into chainfire's SuperSU.
And how can this be done?
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Forums Pro.
flash SuperSU from recovery, it should delete kingroot and install SuperSU on it and then restart, open the app and then update binary normal way.

for your Z1 use Nut's dual recovery, its the best and easy to install and there is lots of instructions available ! you can get the package from nut's website, (http://nut.xperia-files.com/ click XZDualRecovery -> 2.8.20 -> take Z1-lockeddualrecovery2.8.20-RELEASE.installer.zip NOT flashable and download it...
installing SuperSU delete the one you have, you need flashable version wich can be located here https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
then just put it to your sd card and reboot to recovery, from recovery select install zip from sd card, select that supersu file you just put in there and install it, then just reboot and done.
Thank u soo much Migidid bro.....I followed the said procedure and successfully installed dual recivery and supersu, Thanks alot once again, i wanna donate..............love andorid...love sony
Just press thanks button and we're cool
Soft Bricked with same problem
i have the same problem, but after i restarted i am stuck in boot loop. please help me what should i do now?
Nevermind - used Flashtool and flashed fw.

[Q] Rooting G800F with firmware G800FXXU1AOE3

Hello
How can I root the G800F with the new firmware(G800FXXU1AOE3)?
Thanks in advance.
You cant root the AOE3, you have to go back to ANL1, if you want root. The Chainfire root file didnt work with AOE3.
Gesendet von meinem SM-G800F mit Tapatalk
Sure it works . I had AOE3 rusian rom rooted with CF .
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/47429/G800FXXU1AOE3_G800FSER1AOE3_SER/
You're right, are read today in german forum a user sucessfully root AOE3 with Chainfire.... and a other user not. I don't no......
Gesendet von meinem SM-G800F mit Tapatalk
Well , I didn't have any info at that moment that is not possible to root AOE3 . I simply downloaded that rom , being the first I found with AOE3 and I rooted it . It worked . Don't know about other roms with AOE3 .
Ok I did a self test today, with the open german G800FXXU1AOE3_G800FDBT1AOC1_G800FXXU1AOE3, No issues with Chainfire´s CF-Auto-Root :good:
Just as a side note, the reason the Chainfire root packages are labelled by ROM is because they replace the recovery, then after rooting replace it with a stock one. The stock one contained is the recovery from the respective ROM. If you're not running a custom recovery, it is highly recommended you extract the recovery image from the odin flashable and reflash it yourself.
Here is a how to (Tool), to convert your extracted recovery.img file to a odin flashable recovery.tar.md5
