To be honest no one cares who will be first. The GPE version will get 5.1 here soon and AOSP based roms will be updating to 5.1 as soon as the source is completely updated and they finish merging it.
Being first means nothing.

[Q] Android Lollipop ROM possible?

Hey guys
So Android Lollipop got announced. Looks awesome and beautiful.
And I see even the Moto E is getting the Lollipop update....SO I was just wondering , maybe ,just maybe it might be possible that a Lollipop ROM could be possibly developed? Fingers crossed !!
yeah it's possible but not in the coming days or even weeks
final android lollipop will be released in the 3rd of November with nexus 6 and nexus 9 then if we are so lucky, someone will port it to our device after weeks or maybe months, then maybe we will see official releases from cm, pa and slim.
but if you are talking about a stock lollipop rom from samsung... sure you are kidding
Some news?
I guess you've completely missed this thread then....?

No, there is no rom out in the public. I did have a test version that booted, but it had the same problems as with CM10.1. No sound, GPS and SIM. Everything besides that did work just fine. But u can't call it a phone anymore .
It is just to difficult without some proper sources to build one.

Marshmallow for sprint m7 ,

Hello. , Roms have been coming out lately and I understand that most are in beta , but this particular device was said to have marshmallow development back when I asked in October , but the gsm models have had marshmallow cm13 for a while now , and has recently got a second build , that had been more than enough time to patch the Roms for Verizon and sprint m7 users , is there anyone out there that marshmallow for this particular sprint model m7wls , m7spr please and thanks
Good luck. Most of our devs have moved on to newer devices. We got to Lollipop. I ain't complaining. lol

which ROM are you using???
marshmallow on sprint HTC one M7??
Hey I am running marshmallow now on my M7. I got the rom from http://www.vanir.co/word/
What you have to do is download the latest lolipop rom first - then when that rom is installed there is a ota for the marshmallow rom. Its cm based and works pretty good. I have rooted it and am running xposed. The root for this rom is cool because you just go to developer options and turn on root access. No need to install SU as a separate app. Also, the ota is great. This may be the best rom I have installed yet to date.
You can find the latest version of Marshmallow here, http://www.emccann.net/nuclearmistake/VanirAOSPNightlies/m7spr/

Is it still required to first install Lilipop ROM instead of just installing the Marshmallow ROM right off the bat? I'd prefer to go straight to Marshmallow as is done in the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gyLF02rgFY
Their latest nightly will stand alone. Just install has you would any new rom. Be sure to use their gapps.

I guess this only shows on the Chinese website? [I looked on en.miui.com] Is it still KK based?
Are we not better off following STRYDER~007's guide and building on a LP AOSP base if so?

Its 4.4.4 and it would be better to build from source , as I have damaged my m7spr and switched back to the nexus 7 grouper ,I can not build or make this ROM without testing , I have only had problems with boot.IMG but it is pretty easy ,as of now there should be a 6.0 source I have seen it was ported to a new device
I'd be all for giving it a go. I think that sticking to 5.1.1 for now would make the most sense, 6.0 isn't anywhere near ready to daily at this point. - I could give the @STRYDER~007 method a go, but I'm not aware of any non CM bases. I don't have the room to compile from https://android.googlesource.com/ and I don't know of a "clean" AOSP ROM. Any suggestions there?
...I may give CM12 a try, it just seems that leaving as little room for error as possible would be ideal.

Suggestion of Lollipop 5.1.1 ROM with monthly security update.

Can any one suggest any good Lollipop 5.1.1 ROM which is still maintained/updated till date ? I just need good, stable lollipop ROM which will be updating per month once with Google's monthly security patches. Currently I am on Unofficial Pac- man ROM but the Dev has dropped support it.
Yaa I know MM has become quite stable now but still I want to be on LP.
Thanks.

I want to stay with Lollipop, but I think that there isn't any rom that is still updated.
I tried Marshmallow, but it's a bit slow here and touch commands response isn't as good as it is on Lollipop.
If think the only way to update is compilling CM12.1 from source, because they are updating the security patches.
