Tnx for your great work!!!!I have some questions for you guys.....i bought moto x 2014 one week ago,before i was using nexus 5.....if i flash this rom i will lose all the apps by motorola right?Like the notifications on the screen,gestures exc...?Are you planning to add lollipop 5.1 on moto x?Last question is if a custom rom(like your...)is better than the motorola's firmware.....or what's the point to flash a custom rom on moto x?Tnx a lot!!! @srisurya95

Yes you will loose everything. Once you unlock boot loader, root and flash twrp, back up your stock ROM. I accidentally deleted mines (feel like shooting myself on that one)

Its a users choice. As you can see in the OP there are plenty of customizable options to choose from. That's why you back up your stock ROM just in case custom ROMs is not for you. But the devs and maintainers are usually on top for fixes or updates. I personally enjoy custom ROMs, and at times I like to go back to stock.

The only thing is that i enjoy custom roms,but i will miss the moto apps and gestures....is the only reason that make me stay here.....don t you miss that?

Not me personally. Ambient display is better than moto display IMO. Google now is good enough as moto voice redirects most commands to Google now anyways. Only thing I miss is slo mo with the moto camera

I' have moto camera.
you have to move the apk to system / app and give 644 permissions , restart the device and go. you can have both cameras, if you disable the google moto camera wrist turning camera will open .

I have been using this ROM since yesterday and so far it is great no FC or noticeable bugs. I do have a question/petition... I haven't see a ROM for the moto x that allows you to control the vibration intensity for the entire system like for the nav bar, notification etc. is it anyway possible to implement this features in this ROM? otherwise it is an excellent ROM

I'm not the dev. I'm just maintaining the thread for the dev.
Since this follows Archi's sources, it has working hwc and you guys can use boeffla kernel alpha 2 with it too plus the added features such as gesture anywhere are like icing on cake!
Lord Boeffla's alpha 2 still reboots phone when waking up device : / , and finally a thread, saw g+ post and came straight here @gtsfreak pls stop, you're embarassing yourself
Just tried waking up the device after timeout and after locking via power button works fine no reboots @Lukijs
Another GREAT ROM. Everything works except for one major thing. It reboots after the lockscreen timeout, after pressing the power button and also while pressing the home button
Everything else is in place and works flawlessly. HWC also works great.
Also the 26/12/14 Build is out. Downloading now.

Anyone use Titanium backup to restore apps and data on this ROM?
Just hope the reboot problems will be solved soon. Meanwhile, my device gets so HOT most times.

Really?? While on 25/12/21014 build I had lock screen problem too. But now on 26/12/2014 it's fixed. No reboot again.

No,there is no stock music app. You could use Google Play Music instead. Just hope that it would be included in the next build.

I installed this rom last nighht and I am very very VERY suprised!Everything works excellent.except google chrome wont start,I cant get it to work.But this can easly be my dialy driver.I used f4k 5.0 and gotta say that it is full of bugs,I was near to break my phone because of that,my fm radio didnt work,camera breaks down.....Im sorry for comparing but I must tell the truth
Now with this butifull rom everything is fine.

Im sorry wont happenagain
Maybe the problem is in gapps.I used my gapps(pa_gapps-micro-5.0-ALPHA1-20141117a-signed),because this download link dont work.Update that:fingers-crossed:

Chrome doesn't work... it's always showing errors.
Also when you play music on the play music (google) you get a message error (DSP manager has stopped) it also appears if you change the song.

Viper doesnt work on g3 cm12.1 you mean? Because it works fine on cm12.1 as such. I'll have to check about the no sim error.. must be a problem in device tree.

It worked on earlier versions of CM 12.1, but they made some audio changes and it no longer works, on SoundCloud at least... Thanks for looking...

After trying other newly posted ROMs in Dev Section I notice there is about a 30 second delay and then I get service. Soooo, I'm officially running *Orion* and can't wait to test out ViPER

My device doesn't seem to be charging. Battery icon shows she's charging, Ear Piece LED isn't lite ( which doesn't necessarily mean its not charging...just sayin).

Hmm, something is messed up in the kernel.. I haven't looked at the osprey's kernel.. hopefully it'll be fixed
Quick review:
Pros: The ROM looks elegant. Everything looks to be fine except a few below.
Cons:
Camera FC
CPU temp and CPU frequency are running more at higher degrees/freqs (I tweaked the kernel parameters to make it close to stock and going better now).
My major concern for the fix would be CAMERA.

OK here's quick test report
WiFi not working unless you flash squid2's kernel
Camera app absent when downloaded and tried google can gives can't connect to cam error
Rest everything working OK

Does it have an app for FM radio?
Everything smooth so far. FP working perfectly, FM Radio working too. My wifi speeds are slow....but will test it a few more days and see. Getting constant 1MB+ download speed on laptop. On phone when downloading from playstore apps speed doesn't go above 300 kbps. It will go jump a lot. Flip cover doesn't work. Will play some games and see how it goes.
Kept a eye on the downloads from playstore which were updates....wifi speed is most of the time below 100 kbps.
Guys you need to test for me as i don't own the device as far as i have reports all basic stuff including fingerprint sensor works fine

Buggy. Not good, it can't even connect with data automatically, even I set it to 4G only and WCDMA, it will connect for a second only, and then disconnects. I reverted back to official RR.
*not much customization in the ROM. Can't even set the LED notifs
*icons are too big, even when it already on 440 ppi only (default)
*viper forced closes.
*battery goes down by -2% also
Overall
*Pretty much the same custom ROMs we use. The ROM is fast tho, smooth and all, but still needs some work to do.
