[Q] HTc desire 500(Dual sim) s-on stuck at TWRP screen can"t get into bootloader - HTC Desire 500

got htc desire 500
update the software version to 1.27 on 10-03-2015
s-on
after installing recovery.img (TWRP v2.6.3.0) I installed supersu from the zip using recovery mode. The supersu icon didnt appear on the homescreen as the phone restarted. so I tried to rebood but this time phone wont switch on. red light will blink on connecting charger (battery was like 70%) after trying pulling out battery etc my phone did start by showing the TWRP screen which says install wipe etc. but now the touch is not working. I cant select any of these options. only the lock button works which locks the screen and wakes it up nothing else. I tried to hold vol down + power button after pulling battery but I cant get into bootloader anymore. my phone is s-on doesnt that mean these changes would disappear when the phone reboots. I am waiting on the battery to drain so it could restart. please help

[Q] Only 'X' is being displayed and then reboot help please.

was using my nexus one as i was switched it off removed the sim card from this phone placed it in another phone... left my nexus one on charge and turned it on left the room when i got the vibrate didnt even saw wether it was completly on or not... came back home saw the phone off... tried to turn it on but it wouldnt.... then connected the charger to the phone then turned it on and it shows a X and a unlocked sign at the bottom stays for a while and then the screen gets black and the same thing happens over and over again
Its going in a reboot loop I think.
Try going into the bootloader by pressing the trackball and power button together.
and then enter bootloader and then recovery.
In the recovery select reboot.
Btw do you have a nandroid backup?
I do have a backup lying around somewhere but i'm not sure of that. And i tried that boot loader thing but when i go to that menu as soon as i press the volume - button the phone boots off again
did you try the 3 finger:
pwr/vol-/trkball at same time may take up to 20 seconds to boot into bootloader
or, may need to use fastboot from command terminal and flash new recovery/rom like passimg to go back to stock then upgrade from there
pass image method is in wiki
Try this:
- Press the power button and the trackball together
- Select Bootloader and then Recovery
- Flash a different ROM (Stock\CM\MIUI\or try flashing again your current rom)
- If it doesn't work, flash a new rom AND wipe data and cache

Touchscreen in Recovery not working

So I was going to install the InsertCoin 3.0-3 ROM and decided to update to the 2.24 firmware first. I changed the CID (I have the AT&T version) to 11111111 and installed the update as follows
you can flash it from fastboot
adb reboot bootloader (or reboot to bootloader via APM)
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware-2.24.401.1-custom.zip
after it finish YOU WILL NEED TO RUN IT AGAIN
fastboot flash zip firmware-2.24.401.1-custom.zip
You should see successful at the end. Now type:
fastboot reboot

Rebooted into recovery (TWRP 2.5) and the touchscreen doesn't work. Eventually, the TWRP lock screen comes up and of course, I can't unlock it because the touchscreen doesn't work. I know the phone isn't frozen because after 30 seconds or so, the screen will turn off. Pressing the power button will turn the screen back on and the time/battery changes.
Holding down the power button makes the back and home button flash, but does not restart the phone. Holding down power+vol down does the same thing.
What do I do now? Fastboot and adb don't work so I can't restart that way

REASON:- THE NEW FIRMWARE HAS MODIFIES TOUCH SCREEN DRIVERS(its a known problem with TWRP v2.5.0.0)
SOLUTION :- press and hold power+volume and keep it pressed for almost a minute(the back light flashes 11 or 12 times turns of and then you will reboot)
Do this again or even one more time!!(also try simply power button for long)
it does the trick

I am stuck on this as well (HTC One [M7] Sprint running TWRP 2.5.0.0) and the power button + volume (ive tried both) doesnt seem to reboot the phone. Is there another solution to reboot or do i have to wait for the battery to run out of juice?

[Q] Bootloop help (cannot access fastboot/adb)

Note: This is a re-post from the Verizon HTC forums (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2533042)
I just rooted and S-off my HTC via rumrunner.
No flash roms install or custom recovery installed.
I wanted to see if I still had CWM from my last root (I returned to stock via http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...highlight=s-on.
So I went into the bootloader or fastboot (I don't remember) and hit recovery. This did not send me to a CWM, but it appeared to be the stock version of recovery. The process took too long (I know impatient) so I turned it off via power button + volume down.
Now I come to you in need, my phone is constantly turning off/on only displaying the green htc text, no red text, then pausing for 8 seconds, then off again to black screen. The whole process lasts 12 seconds, and this had been going on for about 10-15 min atm.
Plugging it in, my computer does not have the time to recognize it with adb, or fastboot.
I cannot use the power button + volume down to go into bootloader, and pressing the power button does nothing.
Please help me.
So here's the update.
Screen is now black, meaning the boot up/down process has stopped.
I have tried these:
A. Hold down the volume down + power button for 20+ seconds.
B. Hold down the volume up + volume down + power button for 20+ seconds and let up on the volume up button when screen goes black.
These two methods results in a single boot up to green HTC text then black screen.
I suspect the device has lost most of its power. Tried it for a third time, the device is now unresponsive and remains at black screen.
Now I plugged the usb cable connected to the power adapter.
The device enters the aforementioned continuous boot loop.
I tried method A and B, and there are no results, the boot loop continues. Now the device returns to the low or no powered state.
Now the device is connected to the computer. The same happens as if it were connected to the power adapter.
Method A and B still do not work.
Results: holding down buttons longer do nothing for me. The device seems to have lost power, but when charged, immediately the device enters the boot loop state.
Note: when doing method A and B the trials were done when screen is on and when screen is off, still no results.
Now the screen is off and not connected to anything. The problem still persists.

If I had to guess I would say your volume down is broken, else it would enter hboot
plug in the power and let it charge all day. then plug it to your pc and try to adb reboot bootloader or adb reboot recovery the instant you here the pc usb ingage.
once you get to the bootloader try and fastboot erase cache followed by fastboot reboot
after your phone boots you should be able to go back to bootloader and reinstall custom recovery

I have a few questions/concerns to this.
1. When I charge it, I can't stop the phone from the continuous boot. I'm afraid that doing this all day might hurt the phone more.
2. Currently I have been charging it via computer (still boot loop), and the computer does not recognize it at all. I think there is really not enough time because the loop duration is only a few seconds.
3. Since the phone is connected to the computer, the commands adb reboot bootloader and adb reboot recovery does not work. Error: device not found.

So what is this method supposed to accomplish?
I did this and the phone stopped the continous boot. However when I tried to go to hboot it went back into the loop. I did this twice, and I'm able to stop the loop with the bright light method, but I don't know what to do from here.
Note: when plugging phone into computer, the loop starts again.

the phone should not bootup with the power cord plugged in from an off state (are you turning the phone back on ?)
turn off phone by holding power 15 seconds under a bright light
plug phone into outlet (not PC) let charge till green light comes on (not Red)
hold volume down and power for 10 seconds ( you should be in hboot)
plug phone to PC choose fastboot hit power
your now in fastboot usb
from here you reflash recovery
fastboot erase cache and reboot recovery
if your still in bootloop I'm at a loss, and seems your hboot is corrupted I think you have to return your phone to Verizon or HTC.

Well I don't know if it is truly off, I'm just assuming it is.
But yes as soon as I plug the phone into the power adapter the red led flashes on, and the htc logo appears, then the loop continues.
I'll probably take it into Verizon tomorrow and update on what happens.
Update: Welp, I gave up. I'm going to get my replacement soon and I'll be turning it into Verizon. Really it's not that bad of a loss since I just wiped the phone, only thing is I lost my screen protector and carbon skin

[Q] HTC Desire 500 DualSIM Problem

I am having problem with HTC Desire 500 DualSIM (hboot 1.3). It does not show anything after pressing pressing POWER on button. The orange charging LED blinks while charging.
What I have successfully done:
-Unlocked the device (from htcdev.com).
-Flashed CWM. (for hboot 1.3)
-Flashed custom ROM. (z4dug_CleaN_hboot1.03)
The device started after the ROM was flashed. It was totally operable and everything was functional. I wanted to install INT2EXT+. I turned off the phone, because I would need to go into recovery. After turning off the phone it would not start. I could not get into recovery. Now only a orange LED blinks while charging.
Note: I did not install INT2EXT+ before, I just flashed the ROM to see if the phone would run.
What I have tried:
-Entering recovery (Power + Volume Down) [Unsuccessfull]
-Pressing power button quickly [It did not boot up the phone. It is just vibrating.]
I am currently charging the phone and after some time it vibrates for 7 times.
as far as I know, the only fix is this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-500/general/dual-sim-fix-dual-sim-bootup-problem-t2924591
you need to s-off first, and for that you'll need to get it to boot (for me it used to work by removing the battery for 5-10 minutes then putting it back in, plugging it in and holding volume + power
