[Q] Best e-mail app? - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Any recommendations for an e-mail app that I should use for my Gmail and Outlook accounts? Currently using the official Gmail app for my Gmail account and the stock Sony e-mail app for my Outlook account. I want to have just one e-mail app that can be "good" for both accounts.

you can use the Sony email app for gmail as well.

Social hub email

Anyone know how to add my gmail account to my SGS social hub.
My gmail account is setup on my phone but its not in my social hub.
When I put text into "write and..." then click send, my gmail account is not showing up in the list.

Your Gmail account has to be added to the "Email" app to show in the Social Hub.
Email (a white envelope with a green @ sign) app is different from the Gmail app.
Well maybe there is a better answer, but here is what I did: To get the calender to even work it seems I had to setup a gmail account, so I setup my gmail account in the gmail app. I then disabled all the syncing for that accout (calender, contacts, mail). I then added my gmail account to the social hub (it has its own gmail support) and set that account to sync everything. Seems to work fine, only annoyance is when I want to add something to the calender I see two entries for my gmail account, but I just have to pick the one that goes with social hub.
If anyone has a beter solution, please post
Thanks for the tips.
I added both my gmail accounts to social hub and it's now working.
I have 4 email accounts on my phone, 2 my domain and 2 gmail. I can now send from any of them.
This is by far the best phone I ebert had.

[Q] Good EMail App

Hello! So i'm new to the whole android scene, ive been using iPhones for 2 years, and windows mobile for years before that.
Currently on my phone, i have the gmail app for my gmail, some other email app that came with the captivate for my exchange syncing, and im using K-9 mail for my MSN email accounts (there's 3).
Everything works very well EXCEPT for the hotmail accounts. I would prefer to have all of my email accounts in 1 email app where i can open it up, pick the account and choose the folder i want to view (inbox, junk, trash, sent items, etc..)
Im having a tough time finding one... I'm ok with using 2 or 3 but 1 would of course be ideal. The biggest issue im having is the syncing. Ive tried every setting possible and my K-9 mail will not auto sync with the msn/hotmail servers. The only way to get my mail is to get into K-9 mail and tell it to sync, then after several minutes i'll have everything synced and see my new emails.
Is there an app that can combine all these, or just the hotmail accounts that will sync every hour or so automatically that anybody knows of?
Why not auto-forward your hotmail to your gmail. Or POP your hotmail from your gmail? You can set up a filter to label them as hotmail messages, or even use the multiple inbox lab.
There is no good all in one email app

MSN/Hotmail now supports full exchange sync with email, contacts and calendar. MS claims there is known issue with Android 2.1. In my case, I found the contacts sync doesn't work for me. MS advise you to use Android apps like TouchDown etc to do the sync instead.
The exchange server address is m.hotmail.com and use your email address and password to login.
So, you can use the default email app to add exchange sync for your MSN/hotmail account. The downside is that email app limits you to max two Exchange accounts.

Limitation on Stock Mail app

Does anyone know how to setup multiple gmail accounts on IMAP using stock mail app on Tab 7.7. After setting up first email gmail account, the stock mail app doesn't allow a second email account to be setup using the same imap address.
Is there any way to get around this?
Previously I was using Tab 7Plus and did not have this problem.
Thanks

How to Add second Gmail calendar entry

I have my Gmail account synchronized + Facebook events. I have a second mail address on a different domain on witch I use Gmail Web interface to login. How can I sync that particular calendar with my calendar app?
I prefer using the default calendar app if possible.
Thx.

the sync option should support on that account
it means you should ask admins of that domains to add support for sync to Google calendar
:good:
Thx. I did it by setting a second Google account and sync only calendar. Then via mail app sync email.

Setting up work Microsoft outlook e-mail/Google calander

Hi I have been setting up all my email accounts, etc. I did not have any issue setting up the email accounts, however; when I clicked on my Google calander it is only syncing gmail e-mail accounts. Not my work outlook or yahoo ?
Is there a way to get both the outlook at yahoo to combine with the gmail and have all events sync into one calender ? I rely heavily on my work computer calander and prefer it to be on my phone with everything else.`
