Cant Find any Covers for this Phone Cracked through the Phone Screen 3 times now any

I'm after sitting sleeping on my Diamond. Took a nap on the couch, woke up and found my diamonds screen unresponsive. Now I'm not sure if I've broken just the digitizer or the LCD too.
Basically - when you look at the screen, there's an edge of about 3/4 of a centimetre around the outside of the screen that's okay. But a large rectangular shape on the inside that's all multi coloured - like spilled oil. I'm thinking this because i've broken the LCD but I see no cracks. Inside this rectangle is a pattern of dots - evenly spaced colums and rows, but only where I can see the colour.
I've only had this thing a month Please don't tell me I need to go spend €60 on ebay to replace the LCD and Digitizer

Well I guess My poor diamond is also down for the count the touch screen is not responsive at all I tried a soft reset so many times I removed the battery and then put it back and still the touch screen is not responsive.... Oh boy wht a day today and craped up luck too I went to the service center and they said they will need to chk and get back after 3 days wht a bummer anyway I'll need to backup all my contacts thru this software MyMobiler which can access my mobile from the computer then I can back up everything and I'll get my old trusty HTC Touch out now and start using it....
Has anyone mounted a new digitizer screen on an diamond?
my digitizer is cracked and a newone cost about 20 euro better than a complete lcd with digitizer for 45 euro
but i cant find anywhere pictures or information about this.
i swaped quite a fiew digitizers in the past, p3300 and touch and the good old 9100
but this is something else
I need your help .I want to replace touch screen on my diamond , but I cannot find anywhere any manual how to remove LCD and touch screen. I have buy from ebay touch screen .Thanks for any help
On the net you can find service manuals for the Diamond. On YouTube you can find clips showing how to dismantle it.
BEWARE, it is not a job for the inexperienced. I have replaced displays and digitizers on several phones before but failed doing it on the Diamond.
I think the digitizer and display are glued to the frame.

For sure don't try to do it yourself unless you really know what your doing
best bet is send it to HTC in the US its a 100 Fix.
I've gone through 2 ebay touch screens with no luck installing them when my screen cracked, and eventually just sent it out after too many failed attempts.
their is an extra screen mounted onto the digitizer that you can't get on the ebay digitizers
basically from the outside in,
Ebay:
Glass Screen/digitizer: touch screen
Actual Assembly
Glass Screen/digitizer: Touch screen: a 3rd fat screen mounted onto the touch screen

These manuals are not enough for replacing the screen only. The last picture is with the frame still on it.
I tryed tonight and i can say that i'm the first person in the world that only replaced a HTC Diamond screen! I wil post a full report soon.
ok so i went to a party and blacked out
turns out my phone was lost but this girl found it called my friend it i got it the next morning. HOWEVER... the touchscreen wont work..
1. i searched and found similar threads that said i should hard reset and reflash so i do both.
2. both dont work so now im stuck with a phone that has the windows tap to start windows screen.
is my lcd broken because it seems like it. I took the screen protector off and everything. I dont have insurance with ATT because i bought the phone off ebay and if it comes to fixing it im just gonna google how to replace the lcd.
Should i go and replace it or is there a reasonable explanation for this bull****?
btw screen is perfectly fine.. no scratches except for the one time i scratched it with my nail.

and how do you actually remove the screen the manual doesnt go that far
So yeah, it was more like a throw than a drop and a very bad throw too (the phone went from around my head height and managed to go around 15 feet ahead of me). Still, being lucky the only external damage the device has was some scratches on the back. The front remained unharmed, however I could not turn the screen on, the backlight would turn on but no colour appearred other than a small white crack in the corner, meaning the screen inside broke or some. The phone can still register touches, vibrate and play sound. I managed to blindly enter the pattern lock, go inside and power the phone off. So I think it's the part that produces color that broke. I would like to know how a repair of that will approximately cost and what actually broke in the phone.
