Quiet button during ringing?

Hi,
on my other phones (motorola, nokia) I always had the possibility during the ringing, to press something like "quiet-button". So the ringing was going on silent. Now it seems that I only have the possibility to refuse or to accept the call.
Volume buttons on the side of the phone will mute incoming call ringing.

is there a way to lock speaker on when calling.

hi i like to make calls with my speaker on, i hate the ringing in my ear so i just put it on speaker right after i press the call button. so is there a way to lock it so i can just call w/speaker and not need to press menu>speaker.
mahalo ["thank you" in hawaiian.]
There is an app in the market called Car Mode that's free and when you turn it on it will make all of your calls go to speaker mode on your phone.
thanks man i appreciate it a lot.

Screen will not turn off during bluetooth call?

My screen always stays on when I am on my bluetooth headset on my captivate. After about a minute, it idles out for a split second but then turns itself back on automatically. If I press the power button to turn off the screen, it will only turn back on immediately. Is there any way to turn off the screen while on bluetooth? (a setting, hack or app?)
+1 on that...
I have my phone in my back pocket, click on my ear piece to make a bluetooth call, finish the call, then click the ear piece disconnect....the screen stays on and i start butt-texting/calling/surfing/etc.
any help would be awesome.
thanks.
edit...sorry. wrong forum.

Unable to activate screen during call

Hi all,
This has happened to me twice now and I can't figure out how to fix this.
When you make a call you have your standard options on your screen such as mute, speaker, numbers etc. However after a few minutes the screen naturally turns off and there is no way to turn it back on again without having to press the Sleep button.
The reason why this is a problem is if you want to enable/disable mute, speakerphone or you need to input a number as in my case i was on hold for a long time to a call centre.
I tried to press the back button as well as home, but both did nothing and finally the volume buttons but that didn't activate the screen. The only button you can press is the Sleep button but that will end the call.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
When you are on the phone, the screen should turn off when the phone is near your ear, pretty much immediately, and come back on soon after you take it away. Unless you are using speaker phone of course.
Perhaps a problem with your proximity sensor?
The sleep button only ends the call if you set it too.

[Q] Wake up during call

Verizon Moto X (Android 4.4.2)
When I am on a call (incoming or outgoing) and the screen sleeps afrer the sleep timeout, how can I get the in-call controls like speakerphone, mute button, number pad back?! Moving the phonea around to trigger the proximity sensor doesn't work, clicking the power button ends the call. What am I missing? This is extremely frustrating when on a long conference call where I need to mute and unmute.
Help? Thanks

Click to collapse
Settings > Accessibility > Uncheck "Power button ends call"
Frankly, I usually have my phone to sleep after 30 minutes because I always shut off the screen with the power button, so there's that option.
