Thanks Garmig. Didn't think about adding the downloads, will add to the OP. ?

Please be aware!
HTC has raised the hold amount for getting an advanced replacement under "uhoh" protection from $299 to $599! This is still just a hold and the money will be released upon receipt of the old device, however, it is a $300 increase over original program pricing.

Hey guys. Thank you for posting this thread.
I am a new Tmobile US user and have a quick question about my M9 and Band 12 support.
My M9 is Tmobile branded and S-OFF and SuperCID 1111111. I flashed the latest 2.10 international FW to it about a month ago and to the best of my knowledge, its been running fine. I am curious if my device is Band 12 LTE compatible running the international FW 2.10. To be safe I just flashed to the latest Tmo FW but wanted to ask here to see if anyone knew the answer to my question. Any input appreciated.

T-Mobile releasing branded Kaiser soon!!!!! T-Mo 3G might support unlocked tilt

T-Mobile releasing branded Kaiser soon!!!!!
All this data obtained from the T-mo FCC filings.
Before anyone says that this is the Mda Vario III used in Europe,
it wouldn't make sense for them to file an application with the FCC,
an independent US government agency.
T-mobile actually filed the application in the summer of last year.
05/11/2007 to be exact. So no wonder they are so "hesitant" to
help us out with our unlocked tilt, they want us to buy their version
when it comes out.
Their branded manual. P 118 is important (the pink color might kill the device)

ABOUT 3G
A lot of forums and websites say that tilt uses different frequency then T-mo will offer.
These are the specs they have in the manual
WCDMA / GSM / GPRS / EDGE Module Functionality
HSDPA/UMTS: 2100MHz for Europe, 850/1900/2100MHz for USA, 800/1700/2100MHz for Japan.
Up to 1.8Mbps for download; up to 384Kbps for upload.
GSM/GPRS/EDGE: Quad-band (850, 900, 1800, and 1900)
Internal Antenna
Yes
Click to collapse
So maybe one of your guys can figure out if it uses the same frequency as as the tilt
(if it does hallelujah!!!!) then it must support our as well.
Link to all the filings
https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas...lledFromFrame=N&application_id=740611&fcc_id=
So....why is page 118 important? It talks about gprs, edge, and hotspot at home. Who cares about that crap?
Also, let me point out a MAJOR problem with your post. In HUGE green letters, you state that t-mobile is releasing a US kaiser soon. I don't profess to be a forum master at xda, I'm not, not by a long shot. However, you're making unsubstantiated claims. You don't KNOW they're releasing one at all, let alone soon. I don't mean to be a ****, but stating that they're going to release one 'soon' just seems silly.
Damnn it looks ugly!

Funny .. I thought my Vario III was a T-Mobile Branded Kaiser
Obviously I was wrong
I suspect the original post is probably T-Mobile USA filing to launch their re-badged Kaiser
Probably the idenitica unit to what ships in Europe

He mentioned that in the original post, assuming people would say it was the EU version of the kaiser(MDA Vario III). It'll probably end up being some sort of 'MDA' in the states, but saying it's 'coming soon' is jumping the gun. These papers were filed with the FCC a year ago, what part of the documentation gives any indication as to WHEN? None of it.
Not to say that I won't look forward to it, because I certainly will. But when people come on and make these crazy claims it gets out of hand quickly. You need more info brotha, stuff can get held up at the FCC for a LOOONNNGGGG time!

plus it wouldnt be an "identical" version of the kaiser, they're going to have to have a modified one, because the next PPC for Tmobile(USA) is going to be AWS compatible(1700mHz). They'd have to modify it.
tmobile's 3G is on a different Frequency, so u cant use european 3g phones on usa tmobile, or ATT 3G phones on tmobile or tmobile 3g phones on ATT...
they seem to be on different frequencies so u need the branded cellphone they sell to use the 3G in the US.

You have a point. The manual does state that the 1700 is for Japan, not the US. So does it mean in the US it would pick up on 2100? Or is it a typo?

Victor Availability

Hello,
I put this in this forum because the Victor is basically the same as the Diamond and if anyone knows I figured it would be you guys.
Basically, does anyone have any information on where/if the Victor is available at this time? Or if there's any information as to whether it will be released in Europe (UK preferably)?
I think this one is nicer looking than the Diamond which I've had a play with an like the functionality of.
It's basically so I can whittle down my choices between a Victor, Touch Pro or Samsung i900.
Victor=Diamond!

Ermmm thats because the Victor is the Diamond..it just a codename for the device unless im mistaken. The Victor is exactly the same as the Diamond but with a different back...it doesnt have the diamond back like the Diamonds come with.
CDMA hint. hint...
The Victor looks different to the Diamond. I prefer its looks.
Different shape, no diamond design on the back. Smooth.
If we're stuck with just the Diamond, then I'm a bit turned off it, to be honest.
It's functionality is okay. And I can buy one from work for less than £400. But I... just don't like the look of it.

Hmmm it does look quite nice, more smoother than the diamond. If im not mistaken i think Tmobiles offering of the Diamond might be similar to the Victor but im not 110% sure about that though.
Plus as Gsmsecure said above, its probably a CDMA device which wouldnt be any good for the UK...it might be destined for the American market though...
I don't understand the CDMA. Is that something which can be bypassed with a flashed ROM?
Im sure the victor is the MDA Compact IV
Yeah the Victor looks like its the tmobile variant of the diamond, see here
http://www.ukphoneshop.com/T-Mobile...gref=diamond?gclid=CKH65p_5j5QCFQyN1QoduiSwew
I thought about it and it does look nicer, but i was too impatient so went for the diamond instead.
Looks like its being released as the MDA Compact IV and only a few more days to go!
** EDIT more likely a few weeks, it was 30/06/08 but looks like its been put back a bit to the 07/07/08

My birthday. Bjork tickets and a 'Hail' Victor? Sounds like a winner!
It looks the same buth it has a different scroll wheel or d pad. I like that because i'm not comfortable with the one on the diamond. when I want to scroll right or left it allways stops a program or starts a phonecall.
So I would like to get a VICTOR buth I am not sure. Will it work in Europe?
Does anyone knows where to get one?
P3702 - Touch Victor / Diamond is available in Taiwan :
http://www.slashphone.com/htc-p3702-victor-unboxing-photo-gallery-13880
I looks like this will be the CDMA version which is unlikely to work in the UK, and is available in the US on Telus and Sprint
http://www.engadget.com/2008/07/03/telus-announces-htc-touch-diamond-for-a-summer-release/
Connectivity: WCDMA / HSPA: 900/2100MHz. HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA
I'm sad i thought we could get it in France
the CDMA and compact iv look different.
telus
mda
MDA Compact IV Features:
Expected Delivery Date: 21/07/2008
2.8-inch touch screen
TouchFLO 3D user interface
HSDPA
Wi-Fi
3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera
4GB of internal storage
Integrated GPS
Bluetooth
Size - 102 x 51 x 11.5 mm
Weight - 98g
Standby - Up to 285 Hrs
Talktime - Up to 330 Mins
3G, GSM 900, 1800 and 1900
So perhaps there are simply to version. The mda compact IV and the victor on this picture http://www.engadget.com/2008/07/03/telus-announces-htc-touch-diamond-for-a-summer-release/ are strictly the same :HTC VICTOR
Where can you buy this HTC Victor? It look much better then the Diamond, but cant find a place to buy this phone

CDMA is a way of radio signaling for shared use of airwaves. GSM is the another method used in most of the world, but the USA and a few other countries use CDMA (actually, Verizon & Sprint in US use CDMA, while AT&T and TMobile use GSM). In any case, it requires different radio hardware (and no SIM chip), so a CDMA device can not be made to work on a GSM network and vice-versa.
Actually, there are a couple big differences between the Diamond currently released and the one due in North America. Telus (Canada) has released the specs for their verion of the Diamond. It includes an extended battery (1340 mAh) and 256 RAM instead of 192 as well as being CDMA.

And you didnt read the link you gave properly, some one had made a comment with this link http://www.htc.com/tw/product.aspx?id=46930 Victor and Diamond have 192ram because the devices are the same..and notice that when we speak about 192ram the video chip in Diamond use 64ram so then you have 128ram left

Phone: Unlocked GSM quad band world phone, 850/900/1800/1900MHz bands with EDGE. US (AT&T) 3G HSDPA on the 850/1900MHz bands.
No more FM Radio!!!
Bigger Battery though!!!
U.S. Version 3G HTC Diamond $624.99
I will get my phone this Wednesday yea!!! If anybody wants to buy one here is the website i bought mine from>>>HERE
Well look's like I'll get it for sure on Monday 9/22/08 because it was a PRE-ORDER Plus that's what the tracking# shows also they have them in stock now so it's all good i guess.I just have to wait a little longer!!!
Do you think FM radio could be just disabled via software in this new version?
I really like the new bigger battery, but FM radio is too important for me.
Let's see what you geeky early adopters will come up with...
The FM radio on the Fuze (AT&T version of Raphael) was just software-disabled. On the Raphael forum, someone was able to take a .cab with the FM radio program, install it to their AT&T Fuze, and got the radio working properly. Probably the same story with the Diamond.
Like the Sprint Diamond, it's a tad thicker than the original Diamond, to make room for the higher capacity battery (1340 mAh vs. the original model's 900 mAh battery). The Diamond's code is DIAM110.

ok i lost my faith... i need to get rid of the european diamond i have and buy the us version. Its a shame im in love with this phone.. but without 3G support its like having a ferrari rolling with cart wheels.
TD US
Just got mine about 2 hours ago. Yup battery is 1350mAH and back cover is soft matte finish. The Box is square for the US version, not the fancy shiny diamond shape as in the past for EU
Just out of curiosity, does it say P3700 on the box or is there a different US model number?
ROM please??
Can anyone please upload the US ROM??? perhaps it will make our european devices work with US 3G otherwiser i will have to sell it!!
haha america finally gets a proper diamond just like the rest of us had from the beginning.lol.
It took so long because AT&T didn't pick it up. They had to satisfy the carriers first.
US Model
Touch Diamond on the front of the box
HTC P/N 99HEJ116-00
No reference to P3700
On the touch box, it was located with the IMEI and Serial #.
Model Number
Yeah but the Touch Diamond US does not reference P3700 anywhere on the white label Just says Touch Diamond
IMEI -
S/N -
P/N -
UPC
On the back of the box the usual HTC Highlights and Specifications are listed
It does say DIAM110 though. Got mine today!
any change or a ROM dump of you guys??

Big news for those who wants Exynos and 800Mhz LTE

Helloooooo everyone,
I just received a call from Samsung here in Qatar, Doha telling me to come and pick your note 4. I went there expecting Snapdragon because our LTE frequency bands 800 and 2,600 MHz (LTE bands 7 and 20). So i was shocked to see that I got the Exynos which as far as I know doesn't support 800Mhz.
http://www.ooredoo.qa/en/4G-LTE-technology
End of the story, I put in my sim card in preparing to return it if it didn't support my LTE but to my surprise the 4G was the first thing to show .

Think there are a lot of shops in the UAE that have the 910C and would be willing to ship internationally.

Can't find anywhere that will ship to the UK sadly, unless you want to pay ridiculous amounts on eBay.
Is this compatible with AT&T's and T-Mobile's 4G "LTE" Network to some extent?
Also, does the 910C sport a CAT6 LTE Modem?

Xiaomi Mi5 3G/LTE testing. (In Progress)

Update:
As of 03/31/2016 I'm testing networks that ride on AT&Ts towers seeing as T-Mobile hadn't been working. (Guessing band limitations.) Updated below is Straight Talk HSPA/HSPA+ initial tests. (Tested indoors near Sacramento California.)

I'm getting the Xiaomi Mi5 and know allot of you already have or plan to get it. I'll be posting speed tests for California USA, Sacramento area on various carriers. Post your results, carrier, and region below! (Keep region results minimal if wanted.)
Thanks!

Not that it's my concern. But people want to probably know if band 20 works
I'll be keeping my eye on this thread. :cyclops:
please test the signal (2g, 3g and 4g) if is strong, compared with another cellphone; and how is the call quality and how is the voice,
thank you
Test band 20 please!

All bands that I can test will be tested but please do keep in mind that I live near Sacramento California and will only be able to test my area, Tahoe, San Fran.
I will be testing with multiple carriers also.
This is a group effort, anyone who has it, test it.
Thanks all!
Definately interested in this thread, the only two reasons I haven't got a Mi5 yet is because
a) I'm Australian, and they don't support band 28 (supposedly) and
b) They haven't released the Pro model yet.
I do have some questions though, as the first post is quite vague...
What will you be testing? Throughput? Reception? Supported bands?
If you're testing bands...
Will you just be testing in its' completely standard state?
Are you going to attempt modification with QPST/QXDM to enable US bands?
If you can indeed get more bands on it I'm getting one.
I do believe that it's a possibility - I read somewhere (can't find the source now...) that the X12 modem is the first by Qualcomm to have the modem/baseband in the same solution.
I'm assuming the reason some phones could be unlocked and some couldn't before this is due to vendor-specific modem adjustments or different sub-SKUs of the Qualcomm chipset, so I'm excited to see if it's possible.
All reasonable questions.
I'll be testing latency, download, upload, bands on specific carriers, and reception on specific carriers.
I won't be testing any modifications any time soon, sorry.
Thanks!
I've just switched my network in order to make use of Volte and 4G+. Looking forward to seeing how fast it can go. Supposed to be upto 300mbps over here in DK
With the 2G network shutting down in Australia at the end of this year, I'm actually very keen on a replacement that can handle concurrent 3G/3G on each sim.
Would you also be able to test this?

Interested on all this "questions" as well.
Just got mine Mi5 64Gb pre-ordered for about 440eur!
Well, the eBay seller I bought my Xiaomi Mi5 from just said he's out of stock. I'm now in the process of getting a refund and will be trying to get another Mi5 soon.
Keep the thread alive, do some speed tests etc. and I'll keep everyone updated!!
Thanks!
Update: Back on track to getting the Mi5 ?
I'm very interested in this phone. I just want to make sure it works in Las Vegas on T-Mobile LTE.

Most likely no, the LTE won't work.
I found the Qualcomm drivers for the Xiaomi Mi 5 in the Diag mode
Code:
*#*#717717#*#*
With these it should be possible to unlock more bands, at least in theory.
