No dont use TWRP on huawei phones!
That is designed for lgs like g2 or g3..
Use CWM..

OMG!! That's the biggest pic i've seen on here! haha
You have to get cwm or twrp recovery in your phone before flashing custom rom.
Look at my signature for all available recoveries, or you can use the toolkit in dev-section.

2 flash rom-zip in recovery.
Use the search function. There's plenty of information on how to flash recovery and rom. If you can't find it, then how will you be able to restore a softbricked phone? Read and learn before you do, please.

1. Backup all your sdcard data
2. Format it in fat32 format (your sdcard is corrupted)
3. Download the files here ROOT+CWM 5.0.2.6. Fixed
4. Flash the files using stock recovery
if you need free space in internal memory, visit the correct thread in my signature
I use tr.apk from http://towelroot.com/
Follow instruccions on the page:
-Download and Install tr.apk clicking on center logo

Say thanks to geohot
towelroot used a specific vulnerability in kernels dated before June 3. If your kernel is dated after June 3, the vulnerability has been patched and there is nothing GeoHot can "fix" to make towelroot work on your device; and related to that.

So I've rooted my phone. I used root checker app to see if it is.

You need to deodex your ROM, or flash a deodexed ROM for Xposed to work, unless you're on 5.1 or newer

Forget about what i say up here. I just want to root it please
Unlock the bootloader,install twrp recovery through fastboot,flash a custom kernel and install Magisk.
You will find guides to everything what i said so i don't need to write instructions here,look them up yourself.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/development/kernel-elitekernel-v1-t3427549 - download this kernel and flash it in recovery

EDIT: Root without unlocking BL: https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/recovery-root-mm-575-lb-t3418714 (get all 3 zips, rename the kernel zips to .ftf, flash kernel575.ftf with flashtool - reboot - enable dev mode, run bat script - reboot in recovery and flash supersu.zip - flash kernel291.ftf, reboot, done (for future versions you'll want to only flash the kernel from sony's ftf after rooting
