Camera / Protective Plastic - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Does anyone else have what appears to be a protective film around the camera, not over the lense, but the area around it? I can't tell if I can try and peel it off. Anyone else see something like this?

It's been like this on every Samsung Galaxy phone (see my signature to tell how I know), just peel it off and your pictures will be better once that film starts getting nasty or collecting debris underneath it

Use a piece if tape to remove it so you're not picking at it with your fingernail. [emoji6]

Grabbed the little bugger with a toothpick. Came off easy. Thanks.

Don't forget the one on the led as well.

Thank you. I saw the one on the camera lens as I have on all previous Galaxy devices, but didn't catch the one on the LED.

Battery covers

Hey all,
Does someone know a website where I can buy battery covers for my Ace? And with this I mean customs, nothing special, just a plain blue or red one for example, I'm kind of fed up with the standard black one.

It's the day after, and I already put it on my phone yesterday. With the hair spray it simply feels protected, it made the surface somewhat smoother, and gave my phone a weird scent, but that will fade away. Really happy with it, never thought the result would look this good. I'll upload a pic later, everytime I want to upload one now uploading fails

Here it is, still amazed by what €2,- paint and some hair spray can do ^_^.
It's about three weeks later and the paint still is doing very well. Some paint is lost around the edges because I had to take the cover off a few times and by moving the USB plug cover. The hairspray seems to tend to get loose either, but most is still on. It overall still looks great, except for some details as stated above

you should buy some 1k paint lacquer isntead of hairspray, would last longer!
Hey,
After having a blue back cover I decided I wanted something else. First I cut an Android out of paper and sprayed this gold on the blue base coat, which didn't look that bad, but since it's hard to cut something such small out of paper it wasn't as good as I wanted it to be, so after a week I sprayed the complete back cover gold, which I think looks great!

I just ordered mine from Amazon. I wear my watch on the inside of my wrist, but have gotten 1 minor scratch, so for $6.00, a little peace of mind. I used to get them for all my phones, but since I keep it in my shirt pocket, it doesn't get as much abuse as my watches do.

Aren't those wet applications? There's a thread that talks about fog buildup in the lens due to moisture: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477441

I just ordered one of these that include body protection http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Skinomi-...t=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&hash=item1e812e366a
, I dont know how durable the watch is yet.
I've been using a screen protector for my gear since the day I got it. Cut out of a large piece that I had for my iPad. What I noticed is that the ones I have seem to have issues with the fact the watch face is slightly curved.
It still works, but might come off after a while. I used a wet application type one as well (best skins ever) and it worked really nicely. You just gotta be careful when the charger cradle is connected to it as there seems to be some pressure exerted and causing the film to bubble upwards sometimes, and eventually causing it to become really ugly.
My thoughts are the best screen protector for the watch would be those sticky type that has some adhesive on it, something like those I used back in my Palm Pilot days.

Just fitted my screen saver. Bought from Amazon. Kwmobile. Very good quality, in fact superb but the watch face is curved so is the crystal so the screen saver sticks up at both ends.
Absolute waste of money. I went and bought three of them as I know from years of experience with these things how much they vary in quality and ease of application. I am now stuck with three screen savers that are no good to man nor beast!
Back to the drawing board on this one.
In terms of mobile phones though if Kwmobile make screen protectors for mobiles I would use them, they just dropped a brick with Gear.
Ho-hum.

No worries can do : ) Has anyone else noticed very very fine scratches on your screen? only visible in the right light and angle, I work in an office and the only thing that has come in contact with my screen is my sleeve, no buttons just material from my business shirt. So i have cut out a screen protector. I noticed the scratches after day 1 of use :S

During the time I used the wet application film on the watch, I did not notice any issue with condensation or problems. The only problem I found was the fact that the charging cradle seem to have really tight tolerances. So the film gets bubbled up every time I charge the phone. Eventually that ruined the film and I reverted back to my home made Spigen. Done properly most people won't know there's something covering the watch. I've got the Spigen covering the front face and wet application film covering all the metal parts
You can see the hair like scratches, is anyone else experiencing the same?

Black - White hybrid

Hi fellas..
Now that back covers have slightly reduced prices on Ebay, I decided to take the plunge.

I think it looks pretty neat and fingerprint visibility on the white one isn't that high.
Got the cover from here:

Well, initially it was difficult. But once ya got the first latch out (with a click), ya just gotta apply enough force for all the latches. An important point to note is that you'll have to use a plastic opening tool, or anything plastic, and relatively sharp. Any other material may damage your device.
Got my guidance from:

Well, this might sound crazy, but nothing beats having a complete naked device in terms of feel in the hand. I just wanted it to be small.. real small. And yea.. I've used the slimArmor for a week.. and then the Korean Nekeda case for much longer, but eventually ended up naked
I'll get a QW case when I pass this phone to my wife in April/May.
Does the case just snap back into place, or do you have to use some kind of glue to keep it in place? Really tempted to get a white back.. Do you think if I were to sell it later I'd be able to put the black one on again and you wouldn't be able to tell it was ever taken off?

Sorry, don''t get you on your first question.
Yes, all the antennas (black portions) are intact, together with the centre NFC piece. I doubt you can add wireless charger inside as there are no pins for you to connect to and also space restrictions.

M8 rear camera cover scratches

So, I've had my m8 for a month and a half maybe, with a spigen slim armor case on it at all times. After cleaning my rear lens cover yesterday ( with a soft microfiber cloth) I noticed many small scratches right above the lens area.. Seriously?? I am super careful with my phone, considering I'm really into mobile photography as well. Is the cover made out of plastic?? Whenever I had whipped it in the past, always used extreme care. I can't believe that it's scratched.. Really bums me out that htc would use such weak materials to cover the camera lens. Other than that, the phone is great, no doubt. I can't imagine what it's going to look like in 6 months though.. Any others noticed the same ?

I do not use a case, my preference.
My camera window is also scratched with a lot of micro scratches.
My question is, if people are replacing the windows, where are they purchasing the part from? Anyone have a link to a replacement parts site?

After doing some additional research, I found many people having the same issue, that is possibly caused by heating, resulting in the coating not sticking correctly. There is also the assumption that the protective coating was never removed when manufacturing/assembly. I noticed that with slight pressure with just my fingernail on the front camera , same thing happens.. the coating scratches. And btw (for who thinks this is the cause) having the phone in your pocket has zero effect on this issue. I baby my phone , and always have a case on it, and would never put in anything else. Glad there is a simple fix, by removing the coating. However, a good idea would be to purchase a lens protector from slickwrapes just in case.

Well yes, but idk how they got there. My front camera and duo lens were the ones affected. I always have a case on and never have put my phone in any pockets. Only idea I have is cleaning my phone, in which I clean the lenses but shouldn't "scratch" from that. Just seems like a cheap clear coat that easily removes.

Note 4 chrome finish fine scratches

I'm not using a case and once you use cases, the chrome tends to get scratched up pretty bad.

This is Exactly what I'm worried about. No matter what you phone is, inside a case, it will get the small scratches due to dust and particles collecting inside the case. Those dust and particles will always be rubbing on your phone, rear and the metal/chrome. I guess this is not something you can avoid unless you go butt naked lol. Ah, what to do.

I think our frame is both aluminum and magnesium.

Everyone knows woman are the most clumsy. Yea I have scratches on my chrome. Bothered me a day that's it. I am very careful with my devices only time I'll **** up that bad is if I was Wasted! Which I hardly am never. Yea it will get scratched no matter how careful you are. I hate it to but I'm not anal about it either, I'm sure we can use vegetable oil to scuff it off.
