[Q] Google Voice Search - contact not found - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys.
I've noticed that my Google Voice Commands stopped working. When I'am trying to call someone, my voice is well recognized but contacts are not found. Double-checked that I've them enabled in my google settings.
Not sure if I'm right, but maybe this problem started after rooting my phone.
Anyone got the same issue?

Has anyone seen this?

I have searched and tried all of the solutions, but I can't seem to get Google Voice to synchronize anymore.
Anyone have more info?
Anyone? (bump)
I'm having the same issue and no luck yet in figuring it out
I hoped that the 0.25 release yesterday would fix it, but it did not.

Yes, I have tried that before I posted the first post.
I had to downgrade
After installing cm4.2.1, I had to downgrade my Google Voice. The current one isn't working. But I am far too much of a noob to know why...
Cyanogen 4.22 fixed this issue.
anyone have issues wit stayin connected to gvoice?
i always have to sign out and sign bacc in when i exit out the program.. it stay open but when i try to send a message i get "failure to send sms" so i have to sign out and re due it everytime.. them all my text come in.. any solutions? i already did the caller id thing still nothin and updated to the new gvoice from market and it made it even more worse.. thanks!
im running cyan4.2.2 and GV works... however i havent had any "new" voicemails to try out. I guess I could do it myself haha.
Anyway, it wasnt working - the syncing - and then i uninstalled and reinstalled GV and it worked again.
I do have a problem where new voicemails would never show up even if i had refresh on for 5 mins and an exclusion on it in Advanced Task Manager. Again, havent checked this out yet on the new version of Cyan and GV .25

[Q] Google Voice on Bionic

Hello it seems Google Voice is not compatible with the Bionic. Is there a manual work around? I remember reading a while back a way to do this with the thunderbolt. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It says: unfortunately your carrier is not supported for automatic voicemail configuration. To use google voice as your voicemail provider, please visit the google voice help center more more information.
I got that error message too, but the voice mail does in fact work ok.
The problem I am having is that my google voice number is not showing as the calling number, even though it is set to be. I have tried changing the settings to ask each time, and it does not ask. It is still not working after rebooting too.

Just go to the google voice site on a computer and enter your phone number manually in the google voice settings on the website. It is a very self explanatory process once there. After that, go into your wireless network settings on your bionic and change the Voicemail settings from "my carrier" to "google voice." Not sure where this is on motoblur, but just look around and you should find it. If you get an error message or it freezes, do a reboot, go into the settings again and verify google voice is selected in the Voicemail settings. You should be okay after this.

Thanks for your help gotta it!
So caller id still shows my actual phone number and not my google voice number even when it is configured to do so. Any one else have this problem?
That error came at the point (for me) where it should automatically insert *71###-###-#### (*71 + your google number) in to the dialer to forward missed calls. So I did it manually and GVoice has worked fine for me. I did get one FC, but not sure if it was because of debloat or actual GVoice app. Other than that I have made calls, recieved Vmails and texts through GVoice just fine.

uninstall the app and try rerunning the setup, making sure you select use google voice for calls or ask when I make a call.

[Q] Search contacts by company not working

Since the update to 4.4.2 I have noticed that i can no longer search my contacts by company. I do have the search by company selected in the options. I was wondering if this was a problem for anyone else or if i am missing something.

[Q] Z1s & Google Voice app calling problem.

Since I got my Z1s a few weeks back I've had an issue with the Google Voice app and the Z1s native phone dialer.
I have always setup the google voice app to ask me everytime I make a call whether I want it to go through google voice or not.
If I set Google voice to "ask every time I make a call" whether to choose between calling through google voice or through the stock dialer, then I cannot use the stock dialer to make a call.
The call simply does not happen and the screen goes back into the dialer as though I had not tried to make a call at all.
The only way I can have the google voice app allow the stock dialer to make calls is to set google voice to "do not use google voice to make calls".
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it?
I did not have this problem on my previous phone (Xperia Z).
I am on the stock 4.4.4 ROM, rooted and deodexed, if that helps.

Call not sent limit exceeded when using Google Voice

Looks like there is an issue when using Google Voice and this phone . I get the error "call not sent limit exceeded". Blu support said that they are aware of the issue. Basically instructed me to get another dialer on the play store . I tested a few dialers and only the Hangouts Dialer app worked.
Same issue seen on the Blu Pure XL.
Happens on the blu advance 5.0 too even after the Blu software update :-/ . Will try the hangouts dialer.
Same issue with BLU Energy XL
Hey guys,
The same issue is found on the BLU Energy XL. Just bought one for my wife and this drives her crazy since it forces her to use WhatsApp for calls which burns through data.
I've found two fixes for this, but they only seem to be temporary:
1. Restart your phone.
2. Open your phone settings, go into the Apps, and view All apps list, then scroll down to Dialer or Phone (depending on which you have), then clear all data within the Dialer/Phone app.
Once again, these are solutions found using Google and they seem to only be temporary since the problem comes back after calling 2-3 people afterwards. I'm still searching for a permanent fix, perhaps someone can try replacing the Dialer/Phone app with an older version apk? I can't do this since it's my wife's phone, but if someone tries it please post your results!
Yes, This is a problem and it's annoying. I take the following steps and it works 9/10 times, for the 1 time it doesn't work, I just restart the phone.
1. Dial a 1800- number. This way the phone call will go through and register in the cache. ( I usually dial Customer Service)
2. Dial the other number you wanted to call using Google Voice.
Please note: I use Google Voice to only dial international numbers. (That's the option setting in Google Voice)
Anyone found a permanent fix for this?
I believe you can use only the native dialer app for Google voice calls to work.
