[Q] Does the T-Mobile version come with front and rear screen protectors? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6

Bought the S6 Edge from a T-Mobile store. It looks as if there may be screen protectors already applied to both the front and rear, but I can't tell for sure. In particular, there is a small rough plastic blob (about the size of a head of a pin) just above the LED flash on the back, which seems like it might be attached to a plastic film. Does anyone know? Thanks-

There was a protective film over the camera and flash area. No other protective film anywhere else

Camera and flash yes. But the phone itself just came in a deconstructed plastic bag.

Lens Protector?

Perhaps I'm being overly sensitive in regards to my lens, but I keep thinking, one little scratch and it won't take a decent picture again.
Anybody tried just cutting up a screen protector to a mini size to fit it or are there any companies I haven't seen yet making one?
Thanks for any advice.
I've been wondering the same thing but I haven't seen one anywhere.
Just so you know, the OEM lens cover sticks on and is easily replaceable. If you take off the battery cover, it can be popped off with your fingernail. HTC probably has a replacement parts program. I can't see it costing over $5 to get a new lens protector.

Wow. Awesome. Thanks for the info. I never even thought of it that way.
Not so worried anymore.
Anyone know if the lens cover is made of Gorilla Glass like the front screen?

I do not believe the front is made of Gorilla Glass either. There was some conflicting info for a bit about that, but I think the final verdict is that it isn't Gorilla Glass.
BSE back skin comes with a little cover for the camera

Screen protector without proximity cutout?

I'm looking for a screen protector that only has the cut out for the front camera. I find it unnecessary that there cut outs for the proximity sensor. on a lot of screen protectors I have seen. Anyone have any recommendations?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P8V5J4I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This one seems to have a cutout only for the camera, and a 2.5d edge to fit the our 2.5d glass. Someone else in the screen protector thread recommended it, so I just ordered it last night. I'll let you know how it works out.

Great. I might consider it. I was actually hoping to find a plastic screen protector.
Someone said in their review that the glass screen protector cut out isn't as pictured.
The only problem is the protector I received was not the same as pictured. The top of the protector was not cut as pictured. instead of having a small cutout in the center for the cameral lens, there was a larger cutout of 5/8ths of an inch starting just right of the lens going left. Therefore the lens is not covered, but there is an odd unprotected gap at the top of the protector.

Please let us know how the glass screen protector is for you. I've used one once, and it was really nice to have that sort of quality, but it started to peel off after about two months of usage. Maybe that's normal, though. Idk...

Finally a proper fitting glass screen protector.

I have tried many and finally found one that actually fits. Until now the best one I have seen is the non glass protector made by Skinobi (for those that like plastic ones use it). However in the glass department they all sucked. The Qoosea one fit but it's about as cheap as you can get construction wise. It's curved but it only has a small amount of basic adhesive along the edges. So basically pocket lint can get under the screen and get stuck there. Also since it doesn't fully sit on the screen sometimes using the screen itself can be a hassle due to poor touch detection. Well all I can say is thank god Top Ace came out with one recently and actually got it right.
It's curved glass, plenty of adhesive on the side that counts and by god it actually fits perfectly. Things line up where they are supposed too. Anyway figured this deserved it's own post since finding a glass protector for this phone can be a pita at times due to the curved edges. Posted a link below, hope it helps. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M3MZQTK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I got mine yesterday and I can confirm that yes, this one actually fits great. I bought 2 in case they don't make them anymore when the first one eventually breaks.
From the pictures and one of the latest reviews it looks like this screen protector covers up the light sensor. Are there any completely clear screen protectors that fully covers the front?
Just read one of the comment said it covers the sensor that the phone is unable to turn on the screen automatically during a call when you put it away from your face. Anyone can confirm it?
I bought one on Ebay and it arrived and had curvy edges, but the idiots had sent me one for the full-size Xperia X even though it was in a packet marked X Compact. Way too big. Now I have to fight for a refund.

Mine had the sensor cut out and everything was right where it was supposed to be. Maybe he got the wrong one not sure. I went with the black one and it was fine.

Anyone know of a UK source for these or a seller who will post to the UK on Ebay/Aliexpress etc?
I too bought one that only sticks to the edge of the phone and it's already got a piece of dust underneath it! I love being able to swipe from the edge with the curved edges and I love the longevity of glass screen protectors, but it's horrible to use as it's just floating a bit off the surface of the phone and makes a click noise/feel when I tap. I asked a load of Ebay sellers and they all said their glass curved screen protectors only stick around the edge of the phone.
Thanks.
Hi,
I found this one on Devilscase when I checked the Aluminium bumber.
http://www.twdevilcase.com/en/index.php?menu=prod_detail&mid=21&did=7&pid=5258&list=class It's curved and seems to have the adhesive on the full screen (except the edges).
Did anyone tried it already out?
Cheers from Erfurt/Germany

Based on them saying all over the website "Please be noted the adhesive is visible on the edge of CURVED Glass Protector" I imagine these ones only have glue on the edges too.
If anyone is wondering, I've attached a photo of what happens if you use a generic glass Ebay curved screen protector that only has glue on the very edges for a fortnight! Lots of dust has crept in through the speaker holes etc - the white dots showing are all dust UNDER the screen protector. I'm going to buy a plastic one that will stick properly.
I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N8XMXGB
Seems like it just ran out of stock though.
edit: I asked the seller and they said they will not restock it, so I guess this will be the last time you'll see it.

I did. I paired it with the aluminum bumper and while the bumper is top quality as usual with devilcase products, I can't say the same for the screen protector.
The screen protector does fit perfectly but it collects dust behind it after few weeks and the responsiveness and consistency of the touchscreen are compromised.
I've been looking for an alternative to buy in Europe but found none. Topace is not an option as is in stock only on Amazon USA. If anyone has suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem and got refunded. Ordered from different seller and got the correct sized one. The item itself is bad. It feels plastic, touch is not always responsive and swipe gesture for opening menu drawer is hard. I need to really press the edge before doing the slide. Screen feel more distance and it feels there are separation between the protector and the screen.
I replaced it with a generic plastic screen protector which actually feels better, easier to make slide gesture, seems more seamless. The ebay curved screen protector is really that bad. I am going to keep using the plastic one and cut a new one to fit it more properly. I also need to check how to prevent it is being lifted up accidentally from the dangling side. I can stand the dust on the dangling side, but i hate when it is lifted up and the lint is actually below the screen protector.
My experience
This is the reference for my second e-bay cover it does not have dust and has lasted much longer than my first that did.
My recollection is that there is adhesive everywhere.

No. You are wrong. I bought one based on your recommendation and it's just another rubbish one that only only has glue in thin strip round the edges that will allow dust to creep in the speaker/camera holes and scratch the screen. More negative feedback to leave!
Why do not manufacturers produce a curved screen protector that's made properly!?! The glue can't be that expensive! [emoji36]

Screen protector for Huawei View 10

I had to remove the factory applied plastic screen.
Now I can't find a single plastic screen protector bring sold for the V10! Has anyone managed to snag one? I'm only finding tempered glass protectors which I don't want (mainly because they look terrible). I'm in India BTW.
Had the same thing the other day.
Finally bought a glass full screen cover. Still looks awesome that way, the only downside is that the fingerprint sensor is now recessed. There also was no hole for the camera, but that doesn't matter at all.

Why did you need to remove the factory cover if you don't mind me asking?
Is the tempered glass listed going to provide shock absorption to prevent cracks to the display in case of falls? (see this horror video)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2fNq9YrjXU
I removed it because of several scratches and smudges. Those bugged me a lot.
Haven't dropped the phone, so I haven't tested it, but the tempered glass should indeed crack instead of the phone screen.

Question Will rear camera protectors damage the painted area on the S21 Ultra when trying to remove them?

Just wondering the sticky residue from a camera protector would damage the painted surface of the rear cameras on the S21 Ultra?
Jerryrig shows that this painted surface scratches pretty easily and just wondering if using a camera protector is a good idea or not?
Seen several people saying that camera protectors are hard to remove from the Ultra, broke, cracked and damaged the painted area trying to remove.
Have the Whitestone dome ones coming and think I'll hold off installing these.

I was looking at the customer reviews for the LK, ESR, Spigen, and amFilm S21 Ultra camera screen protectors and I did not find anyone complaining about the damaged painted area when removing the protector. Where did you find these comments? I found some complaints about the blurriness of the photos, though.

These things are near impossible to take off. I misplaced mine and wanted to try reapplying a new one. While attempting to take it off it shattered into a million piece by piece, while still being glued onto my camera. Wanted to protect my camera but instead I had it scratched by the shattered protector. Took me over an hour to get it completely off, and by then the damage had already been done BUYER BEWARE
It already has a built in factory lens/camera protector. Nothing else other than a good case with a raised cam module guard is needed.
My 10+ is nearly a year and a half old. I live in a desert town; wind, sand, dust and grit. Zero damage to the plastic factory cam protector.
I use a Zizo Bolt case with a raised cam guard (do not use a case cam hole as a finger grip to take it out of your pocket!).
All I do is avoid touching it except to clean it occasionally with a dry microfiber cloth.
Just keep your fingers* off of it and you'll be fine.
They're replaceable anyway...
*dry finger/palms are abrasive. Enough so as to be able to polish glass. Any grit or sand on your finger can easily mar the surface.
I agree that the amfilm has very, very strong adhesive. It was hard to remove but thankfully it didn't crack and the paint didn't come off.
It caused condensation due to the gap between the protector and the lens glass so I had to take it out. And if you do want a camera protector, make sure the are cutouts for the camera holes. Kinda negates the protector but I suppose that's if you want to protect the metal frame.
I posted in the other thread, but mine shattered because of the adhesive and caused light scratches on the metal.
It's different from past generations since these camera bumps are metal. Old tempered glass adhesive isn't strong enough and they're using stronger stuff.

Possible, I do not know these products.
But as some one else said, the glass itself very probably don't need protection. The aluminium though, yeah.
I plan to get a dbrand skin which is just a sticker that will cover the metal part, and a case as well for when on a trip (remember those?) and such.
In my opinion, that should be enough.
I bought the whitestone protector, didn't think about taking it off...

Thanks! If I understood it right, the scratches on the aluminum camera housing were not caused by the strong glue but by the glass shards (glass is harder than aluminum).
I was thinking to protect just the camera housing with a dbrand camera skin. The black carbon fiber skin looks very nice on the phantom black S21 Ultra. It is also very cheap.
Did anyone have any issue removing dbrand skins from a metal camera housing?
These things are close to difficult to take off. I lost mine and needed to have a go at reapplying another one. While endeavoring to take it off it broke into 1,000,000 piece by piece,if you want while as yet being stuck onto my camera. Needed to safeguard my camera yet rather I had it but if you want to paint the mobile you can also use floor paint to paint the mobile and scratched by the broke defender. Took me more than an hour to get it totally off, and by then the harm had proactively been done Purchaser Be careful....

See my above post. The less you screw around with the builtin factory protector the better off it will be.
