Hi blackfieldmono! I saw your message.
ROM is full rooted. It's not the root problem. It's about TB problem. Use my TB and tell me if it work!
I've never used Xposed... I have no idea. I can't get it work.

Titanium Backup ★ root PRO v7.0.1.1
If your Titanium Backup doesn't work, use this one!

It works for both locked and unlocked (Requirements in the first post )
I've just checked all the links.. All are working here. I don't know why you have problem with those download links... Any suggestions for new Cloud? I'll upload for you.
Yeah SG is area code. It's Singapore. It's official Stock for SG. It work for all C6902 and C6903.

Thanks for the reply.
So I have tried any tried literally half a dozen times. I have moved to 4.4.4 rooted.
Flashed the first file zip. Tried weeping clean everything and leaving it.
Then I have flaked the light after wiping again, and before. Also tried the super light.
I am constantly getting stuck on bootloop. I get the Sony screen and a double vibrate then reboot. Tried turning it off and on all bootloop.
Tried making my own ftf and All sorts.
The only way I can use root is to flash back to 157 then 108v and back again.
Any ideas why I'm not having any luck? I can add you on Facebook if it's easier?

Perfect on c6903
I can install xposed, no problem.

hello
well i was wondering, i read somehwere in the original post that Customized_SG is customized by Sony for Singapore.
What is exactly the customization?? I know it will work anywhere on earth, but I really want to know what is exactly customized.
Besides, what's the difference between the regular version & the "light" ones? do you mean "lite" as less in size / apps / bloatware??
if so, what was removed?
thanks in advance

Hey. Did you just do as stated in the guide or did you make extra steps etc? I cant get mine to work at all, constant boot loops.
I have 4.4.4 rooted with the 157 kernel flashed afterwards which is the requirement. I have wiped everything, flashed the zip via recovery. then booted into flash mode and flashed the super light. Boot loop. I also tried the light version for a full wipe and still boot loop. I wiped dalvik and cache and factory reset and everything i could find to wipe both before and after the flashing.
Do you have any idea what i am doing wrong? or is it just something thats different on my phone or whatever? Im in UK with stock rom, but using the kernel from the guides to root. Root and recovery are installed succesfully with no problems.

You're right! Customized SG is for Singapore. I'm not sure what SONY exactly customizes for different areas... maybe just embedded apps or services (or what else? I need someone who knows clearly to help me to answer this question too). What I know, C6902 can use other C6902 ROM with no problem. C6903 can use other C6903 ROM with no problem too.
About my both ftf,
the .zip + light = flash original ftf (nothing was excluded) + root & recovery.
the .zip + Super Light = original ftf excluded flashing partition, app and data + root & recovery. (or you can call 'stripped')

Did you flash the .157 kernel after rooting and installing recovery? Make sure that you flash the .157 after recovery installation. Then reboot your phone. Now start the installation in the post #1. Read it carefully! Wipe (cache and dalvik cache only) state is before the .zip installation. No need to wipe again after that. Power off your phone and flash the ftf you prefer. Now it's time to power on your phone.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I Flashed the 157 back in after rooting and adding Cwm.
I have tried it many times but just get bootloop very annoying.
Guess I'll have to wait for an easy tool or whatever before upgrading

IF YOU EXPLAIN HOW TO "DO IT RIGHT" IN THE OP THEN PERHAPS PEOPLE WONT POST SUCH THINGS IN YOUR THREAD.
The first post does not explain the issue of the "missing" superuser which may confuse some people.
Please update the op to include detailed instructions.
Please also refrain from posting requests in the Dev section and then creating a new thread for the files once you have them.

It's not my problem at all.....
If he's going to post files then he has to at least make sure people are aware of the issues they may experience when attempting to use them.
MY problem is keeping these forums tidy and organised....
The reason for my post is that even once the issue was raised the OP made no attempt to enlighten anyone as to why or help them. That is not what XDA is about.

If you look in v android development there is an unsecure kernel, but this is for older firmware, maybe it works
Edit: you must unlock bootloader for custom kernel, i do not think bin4ry method works for newer firmwares

There may be a way to root without unlocked bootloader
Try this well-known way of rooting Xperia AX in Japan.
I guess it's also possible for V to root.
1. Here is a Xperia VL's old rom and you can flash this kernel.sin and system.sin with V's loader.sin.
I can't post the link, but you can find it in uploaded.net. The ID is 3gvvv3w6.
2. Then, Root.
3. Create /data/local.prop (ro.kernel.qemu=1).
4. Flash V's system.sin without wiping.
5. Replace ric, install Busybox and Superuser.
6. Flash V's kernel.sin without wiping.
7. Do Factory data reset to easily delete unnecessary apps.

[Q] Why I can't update firmware? Help me understand this

Hello there. I've been searching for any info about the firmware updates and its relation with operators, regions, etc. Yet, layman in the subject as I am, I can't completely understand this simple question: "Why can't I update my firmware to the last one?"
I'm stuck at .257 and tried both PC Companion and OTA update method. My device always says I'm up to date. First I though the last firmware (2.245) wasn't availabe to my country (Brazil, btw), but when I checked the Sony brazilian page, written in my native language, it said that 2.245 was the last one and availabe, but I simply can't update to this version.
So, any of you guys can help me understand why this is happening? Might be a problem with my device? Perhaps something related to my operator?
And the last, but maybe the more important atm: For a common user like me, who don't care much about pictures and want to root the phone just to move apps to SDcard and hide on-screen button bar, worth updating to the last firmware?
Thanks in advance. Also sorry for any bad grammar.
Sometimes if phone was brought through airtime provider they need to add or subtract apps to new update. You can use tools like flashtools to flash ftf files to your device without worry of breaking/bricking etc as you can change the language from within the settings.
I would always root the phone no matter what the phone can can't do as you can add/delete what you want. To root follow doomlords tut found on dev pages of Sp forum.
I am of the mind set the more up to date the better,if you don't like you can always reflash a older ftf file.
Hope this helps

Oh... Thats good news! Now I only need to know exactly the right order of the things. Correct me, please.
1 - Root 257
2 - Flash 245
3 - Root again?
I'm pretty new at this things, I'm aware of a large number os tutos here, but just want to be sure about the order of steps I must take. Thanks for your attention.

yes, but
1.5 - install cwm for locked bootloader and there's no need to root again (in fact as of yet 245 cannot be rooted directly)
Just to echo what has been said, the roll out for updates can take a while, Sony releases to regions at different times and then each operator in the region has to allow the update
If you follow the how to root guide for 2.245 by doomlord you are only flashing the kernel not the whole ROM.
When you start up flashtools just spend a few moments to familiarise yourself with it,if you have never used before.
Sent from my C5303 using xda premium
Thanks for the asnwers.
I just gor a bit confused with this "1.5" step. From what I understand, I should follow and old 257 root guide, install CWM, then flash the 2.245 (Via this CWM? Sorry if I'm saying something nonsense), then I'm done? I don't get the CWM thing. Anyway, thanks for the tips.
It depents how you want to nake.
First metod tft:
1 download. 245 tft file.
2 flash using flashtool.
Now you got official 245 software.
If you want to you can root using method for .245 firmware.
Second method CMW.
1 root your phone using. 257 method.
2 instal CMW.
3 download any zip firmware.
4 instal by CWM.
Now don't want to root or root working - flash. 245 kernel using flashtool.
You want root - use root method for. 245 no need to flash 257 kernel just run exploit.
Hope that will explain roughly what to do.
Good luck.

Here is one for C5303:
https://disk.yandex.com/public/?hash=0ISuhmChUt0guFb+/GumISBn3IhzlZjK1vJXO2FF9bM=&locale=ru
Flashing for C5302 you can loose 4g connection as Indian phones don't have 4g.
Last things flashing firmware wipes you Rom so remember to backup.

Is that (http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/flash-tool/) the right tool?
The sp isnt listed in da support list.
And I read "This flash tool can only be used by Xperia™ devices having an unlocked boot loader. Please note that your phone still stays unlocked, and that the warranty may still be voided." on the official homepage"
My bootloader isnt unlocked
Think I found it " Xperia Flasher by blind4ry".
Can u tell me, how I have to connect the phone? In Flash mode or normal mode? Debugging on or off?

[Q] Root on Vodafone ROM

Hi all!
Well my problem is the following: I would like to root my Xperia Z1 and have the latest KitKat Rom, nevertheless I like using Vodafone's stock Rom as it includes Vodafone Wallet app, which allows me to pay with my phone using NFC. The problem appears because it's not possible to use Vodafone Wallet app on a Rom which is not original from vodafone, but I don't find any .zip fle which includes a rooted version of vodafone's 14.4.A.0.118 rom.
My question is, could anyone make a zip of that rom which is already rooted, deodexed and so?
Tank you in advance, Axel.

Don't get it...
Why don't you root your, Vodafones firmwares?
Deodexing is very simple as well...
You have tool for it in cros section.
Flash ftf
Root it
Install recovery
Extract files with that deodexing tool to your PC
Deodex them
You'll get flashable zip
Flash that zip

As far as I know for rooting it is necessary to downgrade to .534, root it, install custom recovery, and install an already rooted zip drom it, isn't like that?

No...
That was old method.
You have easy root and few other root tools for direct root.

Okey, i was able to root and install recovery, however, when deodexing rom, I falshed the Zip and now my phone won't boot. Any idea about how can i solve it? Really, if not asking for too much, if someone could upload the zip i'm asking for he/she would make me really happy as I'm not such an expert. Thank you in advance

That's the tool I used and now my phone won't boot. Tried both, with and without zippaligning the apks
I am just testing it now.
I did flash a deodex.zip this morning to my Vodafone .118 FW that someone had uploaded and I ended up in a bootloop. It was a strange one as it was part way through the bootanimation when it rebooted.
Once I have made my patch I will test it and let you know.

Okey! yes I saw that patch 5 min ago and tried and again had the same problem... I guess I'll flash an FTF and stay w/o doing nothing until someone is able. And really, thank you very much for helping me, hope you are able to find a solution

There are some issues on some fw, yes.
Try to ask @Ben Ling what changes he did in scripts to avoid bootloop.
You'll have to change few lines, nothing complicated but I don't know which one...actually I can't remember.
You have my post on that thread
Try to fix those line and then try.
Or simply ask Ben to do that for you...

Mine too. Just goes into a loop when booting. Vibrates, get the purple swirly screen for a second or so then restarts. Sony companion repair didn't seem to recognise it either, hopefully just needs to be charged up more or reinstall sony companion or something trivial.

@ronniem88 I put in the firmware applications that can receive the root, I do not use the 93 to root always used to 106.
1. install 106
2. I make the root
3. install the recovery
4. enter the cwm, and install the firmware 62. pre rooteada
5 and then hang up the phone and install the 62 FlashTool via the clearing system.
6. end. Super simple. :good:

My brazilian carrier (yours will be Sim Toolkit)
Customized HK
I would be nice that, if this ROM is compatible for the D5803 and the D5833, the title indicates just that. I don't mind looking for information, but someone can be upset for this and even don't try this good contribution to the forum.
Does it matter if I have HE customized installed?
