Do not try this. My zenfone 5 is now rooted by following the step by Windroidica on his Youtube channel. Also, Like his Page just type in search bar, Windroidica. It's all about Zenfone phones on how to root, fix bootloop, upgrade to cm 12.1 and install Xposed. And of course, on how to apply the Marsmallow 6.0 boot animation for our Zenfones.
is the cm 12.1 working? are the bugs r fixed ?

Guide:
- Download APK
- Install and open application.
- Click "OK" and choose "SuperSU".
- Disable connection such wifi, 3G, etc.
- Click "OK I know, please root !"
- Reboot.
For unroot:
- Open application.
- Click on "unroot".
- Follow instruction.
Enjoy!

Let me state clearly, Dhiraj sir that your ZenFone will NOT root without pc. This is because this method is valid only for outdated firmware which the 16GB model does not have. You will HAVE to use the pc method.

Have a few questions regarding Xposed framework, am new to Androids and using One Plus One.
1. Which version of Xposed should I install for COS 12 S213( 5.0.2) Lollipop and CM 11S 05Q (4.4.4) Kitkat?
2. Are both versions i.e for Kitkat and Lollipop stable or still in developmental stages?
3. Can Xposed be uninstalled if supposedly the version isn't correct?
5. Lastly care to post the links for downloading the flash and installer for both, would appreciate it.

Within (and in the linked discussion threads), your questions have been answered literally thousands of times before.
After so much wait and hardwork done by Devloper X Anwar finally CM12.1 is here. Those in who are in touch with him may already know this. He is currently fixing bugs and will release CM12.1 soon.
Those who don't know who is X Anwar, he is the guy who made first and only custom rom for Zenfone 4 (AOSP). He posted some of the screenshots of CM12.1 running on Zenfone

I found a great guide for getting root access to the mi 8 however not sure it is working perfectly with an official global mi 8 with miui 10.0.3 .
Anyone could confirm this or check if the guide okay? it has no so many feedback this is the reason i am asking the great xda community as always Peace!
