Need stock recovery from B609 - Huawei Ascend P7

Hi
Does anyone have the stock recovery from B609 ?
I rooted my phone with Kingo root and it installed a custom recovery which doesn't work. Won't boot in it.
Thanx!
le: If you have a rooted B609 you can make a backup of the recovery with Flashify

It doesn't work. I get the white screen message with boot failed and to press long Volume down or Power. It looks like the img you provided is the same size as the one I extracted it from UPDATE.APP with HuaweiUpdateExtractor last night.
I think that img you get from HuaweiUpdateExtractor is not really an img and has to be unpacked further more..
CWM works btw...
If you have rooted B609 can you please try and make a backup with flashify ?

I dont use CWM to make backup,I use repacked TWRP for Emui 3.0.My curent fw is B.616 but without Google stuff and Huawei c..p,just some apps that I need.

How are you flashing this image? Flashify? Use fastboot.

Flashify is not good for installing stock recovery, you must flash over adb or you always end in the bootlop.

Here's the version for Flashify.

It worked! Successfully booted! Thanks a lot! I'm sure others will find it useful too.

The problem I am facing now is that I cannot edit set_immutable.list
I have remounted system partition as rw, I can edit the file, save it, but after restart set_immutable.list is reverted. ?

You are not 100% rooted because immutable.list is reverting back after restart. You must flash true fastbot unlocked B.609 boot.img and then you will be 100% rooted

It depends by the developer but usually they remove set_imuttble.list,add init.d support, zipalign apps on every boot and tweaking database(sqlite3).If you don't know what are you doing better not mess with boot.img because if you flash true fastboot wrong or damaged boot.img you will brick your phone.

You can't install official updates without having the stock recovery, if you try to, it will reboot to twrp and give you an error.
If you need the stock recovery, here you go: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwQbt3YQTCDCYVRFMUFkdUxYSHc/view?usp=drivesdk
You can flash it via flashify, it's in .img format.
Thank you much appreciated!

I dont understand one thing, the stock recovery is the same for b565 and b551? It's ok if i flash the above recovery.img to my b565 version?
Sent from my ALE-L21 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I also had twrp and root I just let the update download and stopped the automatic install. Rebooted into twrp and flashed the update zip (with verification off or it failed). After this I had original recovery and (king)root was gone. Which where easy enough to redo (using supersu now). Everything seems to be working as it should. I made a backup before I tried this. I just wanted to give it a shot and it worked.

if you have update.app for your current firmware version use "Huawei Update Extractor" and extract recovery.img from it and flash it in fastboot mode.

update and twrp
Hi
perhaps I can help you.
My situation:
P8 lite: rooted,unlocked bootloader,latest twrp
Download and install Huawei HI-suite on your computer
Connect your phone to the computer
Let the HI-suite download the update and install.
TWRP will finish it.
In my case phone successfully updated. B551 to B565
Just did it: twrp 3.0.2 installed official OTA B585 Full Ale-L21
Download update using updater, then connected to pc i wanted to flash stock recovery, but when usb attached phone rebooted in recovery and started install update.
In log at the end i saw a command unknown (maybe the one that deletes update.zip, i found the file still in my phone after update)
Phone info says:
emui 4.0
ALE-L21C432B585
kernel ver. 3.10.86-g53f7dd5 17 Nov 2016
security patch: 1 Nov 2016
I had to re-install twrp and root (testing systemless)

I think the real problem here is with the TWRP version. We'll just have to wait for the correct one. 3.0.3-0 seems to be the only version that works for me right now. 3.1.0-0 & 3.1.0-1 doesn't work for me. TWRP 3.0.3-0 can't flash the zip files compatible with EMUI 5 Nougat.

P9 Plus Stock Recovery

Hello!
Where can I find the stock recovery .img for my VIE-L29C636? I wish to update my P9 Plus to version B632 but since my phone is rooted and I use the TWRP custom recovery, I'm not able to do so.

Can you explain how you got it? I'm on VIE-L09C432B360 and I receive an update to B370 but when the download finishes, the phone restarts and when TWRP tries to install the update I got an error (which I can't read). My guess, the update fails because of TWRP. So I want to reinstall the stock recovery. Can you explain the steps you followed? Thanks in advance.

No problem! Haha, lucky timing, I was about to head to bed.
Anyways, you will need Android-SDK platform tools, Huawei Update Extractor, which you can download here, and the CURRENT firmware file of your device, which you can download using Huawei Firmware Finder here. Here's how you do it...
1. Find and download your firmware using Huawei Firmware Finder. Go to the common base tab and enter your CURRENT build number in the textbox labeled "Model for find". Under the "type" list, find the one that says "FullOTA" and click the link under the "Filelist". This opens a new window with a list of links. Open the link that ends with "update.zip". That will download your firmware.
2. Open the zip file and extract the file called "UPDATE.APP"
3. Open the Huawei Update Extractor, and drag and drop the "UPDATE.APP" on the window. You will see a list of files. Select and right click "RECOVERY.img", and click on "Extract Selected" and set your file destination. This is the recovery software.
4. Once it has finished extracting, simply flash it as you would with TWRP.
Hope this helps! Don't be afraid to ask if you need more help.

Yep! That's how you flash the recovery.
Thanks. I hope you had a nice sleep.
Anyway I did it via flashify, but what I get is eRecovery and I think it's not the same as stock recovery.
Sorry to bother you again, but options are not the same than stock recovery. In eRecovery you haven't options to wipe, only download new versions and reboot/shutdown. As I don't know if stock recovery has been properly installed, I don't dare to install the B370 update.

Hmm, obviously that's not right... Have you tried using ADB to reboot into your recovery? Try opening a command window and try typing in "adb reboot recovery". That's usually how you get into your recovery other than turning on your phone by holding both your volume up and power button until you see the recovery screen. If that doesn't work try flashing again using adb instead of Flashify.

Hi @mechasnyper
I'm on stock B360, rooted and twrp installed. I got an update of B380 and as described by others I was unable to update through twrp. I tried your method, downloaded B360 firmware through FIRMWARE FINDER, when I opened "UPDATE. APP" in update extractor, I got two images of recovery "RECOVERY.IMG" & "RECOVERY2.IMG". I extracted "RECOVERY.IMG" and flashed. Everything went fine recovery flashed successfully.
After that I started OTA update. It started flashing but it is giving me error when reaches at 5%. Kindly tell me what is wrong?
My variant is: VIE-L29C185

Hey all, I'm in a similar situation in that I'm trying to restore stock recovery in order to receive the new B386 OTA update.
Problem is, I'm on B385 firmware and the last version available for download is B384. Does anyone know if it would be possible to extract the B384 recovery and flash that, or is that just a really bad idea?
I'd really rather not do a factory reset all for the sake of a Google security patch
After giving up last year I came back to try again and everything worked smoothly. Don't know why I had trouble the first time!
To anyone with a rooted device who wants to go back to receiving OTA updates, just follow mechasnyper's instructions and download the full firmware zip for your current OS version in Firmware Finder, extract and flash recovery.img, and hey presto.
Now to just sit and wait for the L29 Oreo update to arrive

You need a stock recovery to flash stock firmware...
I overflashed only the kernel, so the phone didn't boot, so i tried to find a kernel to flash back, so the phone is booting again, the only one worked was that custom one, but not stable.
So I'm trying to find another better working kernel to flash, or an alternative way to reset my phone, but my recoverys aren't working.
