iFixit Urbane tear down. - LG Watch Urbane

iFixit have done a tear down on the Urbane. Interestingly even though it has two microphone ports, it only has one microphone.

phone case

Any one got correct phone cases of G2? With that 'rear button' I would think case manufacturers will have to rethink.

What do you mean, bro. I am sorry but I'm having a hard time understanding exactly what you mean.
I'll interpret it the way I understood it:
If the rear buttons fit? Depends on which model you have. If you have the Verizon model (and I assume not) it won't fit. If you have every other model, they should fit perfectly. For me, a case makes it a whole lot easier to find the buttons.

Nylon Strap on my LG G watch R

Loving my nylon strap!!! bought a few of them in different colors but this one is my favorite. Only thing is that it blocks the heart rate sensor in the back but I rarely use it anyway. What do you guys think?? If you want pictures of my other nylon straps on the watch lemme know
Looks fine!
Like it a lot, I'm still undecided on the moto or the r watch
Update: Bought the lg and very happy with it
I think you are using a NATO style strap. From my experience, the heart rate monitor does not work with a NATO strap on, so please be mindful of that.
Isn't that a problem to charge? Do you have to remove the strap?

This is a great question.
Any updates?!
I couldn't wait for your reply so I just bought a 2 piece nylon strap instead so there is no issue with charging, etc.

Where did you get that from if you don't mind me asking. Would look great with my new Bond face!

Magnetic charger!!! Fastcharge&syncing works

Comes with 2 micro usb socket thingy
1 cord
And a pry tool to remove the micro usb
Only problem is finding the right case for it.
Also in order for the fast charging and syncing to work. You have to make sure you connect the cord with the light facing you.
Pretty much it. I like it so far!
Damn this looks pretty cool. Have you noticed any downsides to it? (Besides having to take the magnetic charger everywhere you go to actually use it)

Slower data transfer. But it might be because it was a twrp backup. Which is around 7 to 8gbs. (My battery last all day so I never have to bring it with me).
If you could find a bumper case that covered the bottom, then carve out the shape of the mag-charger into it that might look good as it'll be flush.
Tpu case works. (After you cut it).

yer only downside.
How is it with pulling the cable out? I saw a review that said as soon as you pull the cable off the micro usb part comes out with the cable?
you had any issues with this?

Nope. Not yet. It's a pretty tight fit. Was it with a 6edge? I guess different phones have different tightness.

It is also a lot bulkier than i thought/saw in the pictures.
Im going to stick with my znaps and just be patient!
good idea though
scrap what i said. The end actually has to be pushed in really hard! once it properly clicked in its works like a charm!

I was just about to say lol. You have to push the sucker in.

Like i mentioned above, the magnetic is too strong, as you pull the cable off, the micro usb comes out with it.

Man that's pretty cool. The only fear I'd have is the magnet it's self. Magnets usually tend to mess up electronics, their screens, ect.

Decided to get one

On sale (boxing week)
Only concerns are non-replaceable watch strap (they do wear out)
and buy now..... who knows the Google Watch maybe better.
..... there is always something better right around the corner.

Replaceable watch strap is not always applicable. I love to wear stylish and trendy watches every year. I am crazy for watches.

I think I may do the same, whenever it wears out I just may go to Amazon, Best Buy, or Google and get something new.
Just got one the other day. Just do like me, get the one with the silicon band. It's probably the best band for this watch cause it's very sweat resistant (i used the watch in the gym ....)

Doh!! I didn't realize the strap was not replaceable. I couldn't imagine a watch being made like that. I wouldn't have bought one if I'd have done some research.

I was in touch with a reddit user, who was kind enough to share this with me:
https://photos.google.com/share/AF1...?key=cWtpeTZWb0N6bUpYOWRXbHVqMkticDdjNnZUZGF3
he cut his own 46mm strap down with an x-Acto knife and used a 15mm pin.
I hope this helps

I suspect that 46mm is a typo. Was it a 22mm?

No it wasn't a typo, 22mm is probably the pin length not the strap length. 46mm straps will have the correct width you'd need to cut down, smaller straps likely won't fit the lugs very well and will probably just fall out.

Now I'm confused. 46mm is just under 2 inches. That can't be the length of the watchband as that would barely fit around my thumb. And it can't be the width as it would be more than twice as wide as the existing strap. What am I not understanding?
My bad.. Get a strap for a 46mm watch.
22-24mm should be the strap's width

What watch faces are you using?

I am switching between the ustwoo watchfaces that came with my unlocked LG Watch Sport. What great watchfaces have folks found. I like analog with complications (mostly just steps, battery, and weather.
Portions.... Love it
I use Portions. I used to use a Facer Rolex watchface on my OG Moto 360.

Yeah, I like Portions and really most of the 2.0 faces. Wish the watch wasn't so bulky on my small wrist.
If they would have made it thinner it would been most perfect.

Yep, picked up an unlocked LG Urbane 2 LTE and patiently waiting for AW 2.0. It doesn't feel as bulky as the Sport.
I almost bought the urbane but I wanted the updated processor and the rotating crown. I've had using the Sony sw3 for three years so i really gotta get used to this big sob.
Yeah, that's why it's hard to part with it. Too many watches. Gonna keep it for now though.
Is anyone with a LG Watch Sport able to use the Google Fit watch faces. They have disappeared, and I can't get them back. I have factory reset the phone, and the watch. They show back up, but when I run all the updates they vanish again.
