ATTENTION: USEFUL INFO - DON'T IGNORE - (KEEP IN MIND I USE THE PAID VERSION SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT FREE ONE DOESN'T HAVE
If the battery seems small, you can change the offset to make it larger so it's not so tiny you can't see it. The Offline batteries that are included, they seem to be perfect size all together. Just tinker around with it, that's just the size I use
For Batteries that you download by Colourable, You have to move the slider down to zero on Battery Text Colour or a percentage will be over top of that battery. Additionally, the mid level color I set to zero or else it will turn yellow at 50%. I turn it to zero and I actually use the 25% slider. You can put them all to zero if you like and the battery will do what it is meant to do. This only applies to the Colourable one's. The slider will not even adjust for different Batteries. See the Screenshot below

---------------------------------
HOW TO DO IT YOURSELF
---------------------------------
If you want to do this yourself, you will need to have a deodexed ROM that you are working with. If you know how to deoedex that's good for you, but if you are not able to do that, and the ROM is not deodexed, then you are out of luck. There are smali files that you need to add to the system ui which are only found in deodexed APKs
Recommended Tools: Notepad ++, Advanced APK Tool, 7zip
1. You need to download the Smali FIles for APK Tool 2.x.x which can be found at http://www.3minit.com/
2. From Root Explorer - Copy Your SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk to your SD Card
3. Pull SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk off your phone and on your Computer
Extremely Important (Note: Use 7zip to extract META-INF folder and AndroidManifest.xml to Desktop before you decompile)
4. Install the Framework and decompile your SystemUI.apk (This requires Decompile knowledge - You should know what I am talking about)
5. Once decompiled, navigate to res/layout/system_icons.xml and open with notepad ++
6. Find:
Code:
android:layout_width="9.5dip"
and
Code:
android:layout_height="14.5dip"
Note: These values may not be an exact match, doesn't matter
Change both values to
Code:
android:layout_width="[COLOR="Red"]0.0dip[/COLOR]"
and
Code:
android:layout_height="[COLOR="red"]0.0dip[/COLOR]"
7. Hit enter and directly underneath that line add:
Code:
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.policy.MinitBattery android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
Code:
[COLOR="red"][/COLOR]
8. Save your work and close notepad ++
9. You now to need to navigate to smali/com/android/systemui/statusbar/policy folder
10. Copy the 4 smali files into that policy folder
11. Time to recompile the SystemUI.apk
12. Once Compiling of SystemUI.apk is complete, open archive with 7zip (DON'T EXTRACT)
13. Delete META-INF folder and AndroidManifest.xml from newly compiled SystemUI.apk
14. Add the originals from Step 3
15. Download the 3Minit_Battery_free_NameYourZip.zip or 3Minit_Battery_paid_NameYourZip.zip (This will be your Flashable Zip)
16. Use 7zip to open NameYourZip and navigate to system/priv-app/SystemUI
17. Drag the Newly Compiled Completed SystemUI.apk into system/priv-app/SystemUI
18. Your Zip can now be flashed... Name the Zip whatever You want!!
Don't worry, if you need help because you are having issues, post your SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk and give me the exact ROM and version you are running so we can help. I make no promises.
I am also not teaching how to Deodex or Decompile an APK....You must have knowledge in that area to do this...Good luck
If the battery seems small, you can change the offset to make it larger so it's not so tiny you can't see it. The Offline batteries that are included, they seem to be perfect size all together. Just tinker around with it, that's just the size I use

I've downloaded and flashed the zip, installed the app from the Play Store. Choose a battery style, and apply after download option. Battery doesn't change. Any tips?
It's all just an illusion

I believe I found the issue and it looked to be with the zip, I do not believe it replaced the old systemUI.....I updated the zip it should work now...
EDIT**** Zip was the problem - It works now -------> Double check to see for all of thos who flashed if there is a loose systemui in your /system/priv-app folder. If so delete it

Working rock solid now. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks glad it is working

What do you mean by a loose systemui?

Instead of it being in the SystemUI folder inside of priv-app, it was just loose inside the priv-app folder which is why it was not working. The correct modded SystemUI should be in /system/priv-app/SystemUI/SystemUI.apk

I have been trying to get this work for a long time. Do u think u can mod one for a different ROM if I provide the systemui ?

Some known issues with ORFR 2.3.4:
GPS can sometimes take a while to lock on
FIX (Work-around): Locks on much faster if you leave WiFi enabled
When using a non-stock Kernel, if you open an app that uses GPS it will knock off your data connection so you have to wait for data to reconnect
Some reports of this happening on stock kernel, but I've been unable to reproduce it except on faux123 kernel
Gtalk Video, in portrait mode, shows the video upside down on the receiving end
FIX (Work-around): Turn the phone sideways to use landscape mode

You can, but it will wipe data (factory reset). Tested going from Ken's ROM, the OTA, and from 4.1.83 successfully though.

Partially, yes. Kenn already had the 4.5.91 release, same as the OTA, and deodexed the files. No need to run through that process again.

no it didnt work when i tried
So is this safe to flash without the hardbrick mentioned in the Sticky if I have to downgrade? I would do more research and ask, but my Atrix has been giving me hell today. Tried to flash Kenneth's ROM a couple times to no avail and so now I'm looking at this as an alternative, but considering I have needed to RSD back to 1.83 twice already, I'm a bit hesitant since I got my Atrix yesterday

[ROM][MODDED PORT]Slimui - The genius of being small (~90 Mb )

S L I M U I
DISCLAIMER
This is not my work. The port of Miui.us to I9000 was made by Brad Heffernan (Link to Original Thread for SLIMUI 1.x and Here for SLIMUI 2.x).
My philosophy
Android has to be slim. It's all about user's own personality and individuality. Stock should be all customizable and as lightweight as it could be. Your phone must trully (hence freely) express yourself, otherwise go and buy an iPh... lol.
BASE
It's JellyBean 4.1.2. Hats off to MIUI Team for all of the beauty they added to a otherwise highly performant firmware. Also nothing of this continuous development would be possible if not for our phone's unsuspected brother, the Nexus S. And finally, big thanks to all the hard workers of the original porting to GT-I9000.
SPECIFICATIONS
NOTE: All features defined here are relative to the build 1.3
- Installation: I prefered the usual simplistic installer (not Aroma as in original)
- Bootanimation: Changed to match Miui.us logo
- Kernel: It has Semaphore 2.50sv, the only version with fully working Aroma Filemanager (you can even change permissions in CWM Recovery!)
- RAM: hugemem patched (390 Mb) with 720p recording and playback
- Modem: KB5, however it will not override your current one
- Display: It is 201 DPI.
- AriesParts: Yes, it has advanced Galaxy S controls (color tuning, in-call volume etc)
- Launcher: MiHome Launcher, it's Miui exported to non-Miui ROMs. Has preincluded Theme Manager (working with no need for Xiaomi account)
- Keyboard: Q2 Keyboard. Free, fast, customizable.
- Slimui Tuner: Aroma Installer add-on with all missing stock and Slimui/Mi (flashable in cwm)
NOT INCLUDED
- GAPPS: it has no (hopefully) google elements, apart Android (lol)
- A lot of Xiaomi stuff.
- Some Miui.us apps
- Libs and framework files that are not used (?)
KNOWN ISSUES:
- GPS: works, but it's Vibrant, lol. It has my tweaks, it doesn't use gps.conf, I doubt Vibrant ever uses it.
- 911: I don't know (and don't care, sorry US users: EDIT: See post No.2). I use Mr Psycho's RIL files (original Galaxy S files), which are CM9 so you were warned.
- Settings, About phone: Wrong available internal memory displayed. I don't know why, it is on every Miui 4.1 ROM.
- Lockscreen: It may behave strange on unlock (doesn't freeze, it simply doesn't show up). Maybe a MiHome Launcher issue (?). Solved in latest builds.
- Themes: Due to changed DPI some packs might not apply.

INSTALLATION
Warning
Make a Nandroid backup of your current ROM first! You MUST have correct partitions before you proceed (see CM 10/JB 4.1)! <== It seems there are some exceptions though

Changelog:
NOTE: Only the changelog of the latest build will be displayed here
30/03/2013 SLIMUI 1.5
<<<PRIME NOSTALGY>>>
TEST BUILD 1
Changelog:
- English only
- Launcher: Stock launcher (all widgets working, except for Miui Weather - not included, has chinese cities only; hint - install instead Go Weather Widget from Playstore, it WORKS without Go Launcher Ex, it's best of all). Global Search widget needs Google's Search and Voice Search from Playstore - install apart.
- Theme: Black Ice theme (planned, needs many edits ). For now: Lockscreen & Lock wallpaper from Blues Theme (thanks to its dev Tony!) and Status Bar from Miui_4 Concept_ICS Theme (big thanks to its dev Jooode!). The original Black Ice 2.3 Theme isn't fully compatible with JB, for now only Icon pack implemented (big big thanks to its dev cgvelmax!).
- Locker: A very nice one, you'll like it (matches so well to the Prime aestethics) ^^^ see above
- New Miui Calculator, so cute interface! (from Miui 3.2.x Nexus ROM)
- MiFile Explorer: Updated to latest 3.1.6 Dark Blue build. Very strong release, fully working root explorer, archive manager. Credits to apooonet.
- Theme Manager: replaced with an older version that fixes the apply theme bug (downloads OK apply OK; no Xiaomi account needed, only formal consent on the first run). A side effect: won't let you change ringtones from within Settings, but through Theme manager itself OR by editing Build.prop lines (where ringtone and alarms are defined).
- Framework.jar patch for Mediascanner wake-ups bug (credits...Shoman94, thread here)
- Init.d: Removed scripts for scheduler and governor, were broken. New scripts for better Sd Card read/write experience (Benchmark friendly , thanks to Blackbean team and neobuddy)
- Browser: Baidu Browser instead of Miui stock one, a very powerful chinese browser (english translation). Credits to Baidu team.
- Keyboard: New Sony Ericsson Keyboard. Credits to _Sparks for porting it. Many languages and good prediction.
- Important: Superuser.apk replaced with Miui Security Guard. Fixed Su bug from 1.4 build (partial root)
- Maybe other little changes
Installation notes for Slimui 1.5 <<<Prime Nostalgy>>>:
- After the first boot, let it sit 5-10 min, then reboot
- It builds caches very slow, I don't know why (Miui 4 bug?). However thereafter it should be very fast
- It is still a buggy build due to theming and (maybe) implemented system tweaks, use for testing

mi2stock converter Link here Install in CWM Recovery. For now it will only install 2 stock apps, Miui Home and File Explorer. It will also restore the original theme (with icons and gadgets), which were previously included by default in the removed MiHome Launcher.
Slimui Tuner Link here Install in CWM Recovery. It is an AROMA Installer, will guide and customize the (un)installation of the missing stock apps. NOTE: You MUST select every app you want to keep, otherwise the given app will be removed! It will also wipe cache and dalvic cache, so the reboot will be a bit longer.
This is finally a slimmed down android version for the Vibrant. I tried requesting a version like this but never had luck. I will definitely install this when it's available. Thanks again

Flashed it but I keep getting android.process.media has stopped so I can't really test/play with it. I tried clear data from framework, play services, market, media storage, I tried fix permission in recovery etc, no go.
Edit: I did another full wipe and system format and its good now.

The ROM is indeed pretty small but faster than any other MiUi present. I just installed the rom & apps & phone is still fast enough.
Thank u!:good:
Edit: Doesn't sync contacts from Gmail(solved: Flashed gapps 4.1.2) !
Runs 720P videos in MXplayer without any issues.

I didn't include the GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk in the ROM, I didn't use it. But be careful, flashing GAPPS may breake your Playstore if it's not multi-dpi (use only the Slim Gapps, it works flawlessly on dpi 201).
Glad you like it
Edit: Links to original CM10 RIL and GPS binaries added (see post No.2). Flash in CWM recovery.
Edit 2: Seems that CM10 RIL files will break the phone call sound. Going to post the Miui.us RIL files from GT-I9000
Edit 3: Added Miui-us RIL files for GT-I9000, now sound is ok
I'm not quite sure if it is a bug or not, but in the google account, contacts does not appear so they are not synchronized to the cellphone, or maybe it is just my phone.
Everything else is extremely smoooth!!!
Best regards

Anyone check the sound on phonecalls?
"Restore CM 10 RIL files (see attached) <=== Phone call sound broken?"
Makes me doubt flashing this :l
Sorry, i'm a bit confused again, do I flash GT-i9000? (i realize vibrant is t959, but the way you word it in your other post makes it sound like the i9000 will fix it for us as well)
edit: Tried it, just not working out, looks like the default miuihome is much better, and using that in system/apps doesn't work because it can't make any widgets, even with root permission.
Very fast ROM though, nice job.

Dr.Developer of this rom, do you have any idea which theme you used for this? Or where the .mtz is stored in your ROM file?
The lockscreen was the SMOOTHEST i've ever had, and I'm trying to get that on the other MIUI rom.

Datadata/com.miui.mihome2/app_built_in_theme/MIUI_default.mtz.
Actually it comes prebuilt in the launcher (MiHome).
What do you mean when you say you couldn't add widgets to the desktop? I have no problem adding any widget or folder I want. Just long press on homescreen, scroll the lower bar and you can also check out in the "More widgets", the last button to add others.
why late... cant wait...

I liked the lock screen but had troubles with it. It would disappear, after I unlocked it and then turn screen off it would not reappear when I turn screen back on until I rebooted.

in the op, did you do this?
It may behave strange on unlock (doesn't freeze, it simply doesn't show up). Maybe a MiHome Launcher issue (?). Solved: Go to Menu->Launcher Settings and then toggle off "Use MiHome Locker". You'll have now the basic Miui Lockscreen.

UPDATE 19/01/2013
Changelog:
15/01/2013 - First release, SLIMUI AIO. No more AIO in future, sorry
19/01/2013 - SLIMUI basic: I'll keep it as much MIUI as I can.
Now only 95 Mb!
Removed:
- All Google apps (including libs). Flash Slim GAPPS for JB 4.1. No Gallery/Camera from Google either.
- Voodoo Control. Sorry Supercurio Install free from Playstore
- AppDrawer: install free from Playstore
- Lbesec_miui.apk: too many permission dialogs and running in bg (you have Superuser and your IQ for that, lol). EDIT: It seems that the MiHome Lockscreen became much more fluid, probably for this reason?
Kept:
- All "Mi" apps: they are MIUI, modded or ported. In case of MiHome, it feels faster and has integrated Theme Manager, which won't ask you any Xiaomi registration.
- Q2 Keyboard: I'm waiting the dev's authorisation, though
Added:
- Miui Gallery and Camera, instead of the removed ones
Known issues: see OP
- Miui Camera: will FC on 720p video registration. This is a political issue, no comment.
INSTALLATION NOTES: On basic release (no AIO), you may install Slim GAPPS whenever you want, feel free to taste the pure flavour of Miui first!
Links and changelogs in post No 2. Links coming soon!
EDIT: Uploaded! Check post No 2 for download link.

[NCE}{SafeStrap]DeOdexed/Extreme Debloat/Stock/Android L Features

Naked TouchWiz v3.2 Tether/Non-Tether Builds Available!!!
Any Questions Should Be Posted In The Q&A Thread. I Will Be Keeping An Eye On Both This Thread And The Q&A Thread :good:
DO NOT USE ROM SLOTS! THEY DO NOT WORK YET! ONLY USE THE STOCK ROM SLOT!
Extreme Debloat v1.9-v2.3b are all alpha builds; they might work, they might not. Let me know of any issues, but don't expect extensive support for these builds.
You ever wanted a ROM that you put what you want into it? Ever wanted a ROM without all the crap you never use? This is the ROM for you!
PLEASE READ: So we have many successful flashes! As you can see the ROM is under 400mb... It is very possible that we may have missed some useless files or bloatware; this is how you can help:
1: If you know the file name in the app/priv-app folder of the bloat then post it here or PM @elliwigy or @raynan!
2: Uninstalling something from Titanium Backup will tell you the com.android.whatever, and the last pop up right before you uninstall the bloat will be the exact file name that we need to remove it from the ROM! Thanks for the help, and enjoy!
Features:
- Based Off My AT&T NCE ZIP
- DeOdex Version Available (Odex Might Come Later Once Verified DeOdexed Works Well)
- Rooted
- BusyBox
- Zipaligned
- Native Hotspot
- Knox Free (v1.1+)
- Init.D (v1.1+)
- Debloated (More removed since v1.1+)
- Lollipop checkboxes, radio buttons and fonts
- Download Booster (Have to create a toggle for it to work which can be found in the thread for it. I will make instructions and have someone test out adding a toggle to Quick Tiles if the maker of it will give me permission to do so.)
Add-Ons:
- Google Now Launcher (Default Launcher)
- Android L Keyboard (Default and Only Keyboard. Go To Advanced Settings and Change Theme to Material)
- Android L System UI Sounds (Not All System UI Sounds are Available Yet, I Added What I Found!)
- Android L Alarm Sounds
- Android L Ringtones
- Android L Notification Sounds
- No Stock SMS (Removed stock SMS apk, move SMS apk from download link before flashing if you want stock on first boot)

Stuff Removed:
Naturally, in order to get the ROM down to size we had to remove a LOT of stuff from the ROM itself. All basic functions should work. Some of the things that were removed are here:
- Drive Mode
- Baby Stuff
- Kid Stuff
- AT&T Junk
- Samsung Junk
- Stock Messaging app
- Stock Browsers
- Stock Launcher
- Stock Ringtones, Notification Sounds & Alarms
- Stock Clock
- Ultra Power Saving Mode (not that you really need it anymore )
- SHealth
- S-Voice
- My Files
-Useless S-Pen Files
-Not working ART stuff
.... You Get The Picture! I do not want to hear about if I'm going to add this or that. If you want SHealth then this is not the ROM for you (unless you can find a zip or a way to side load it.) There are stock options with all the bloat you want!
Coming Soon:
-Themed SystemUI--Just a few more apps to go! :good:
-Themed System Apps
-Possibly Port Apps from my Nexus 5 Running Android "L"
-ART Compatibility
-Odexed Version
Working:
- Just About Everything!
- Location Bug Squashed (It will now stick without having to reboot device. If for some reason it wont stick, try a reboot and it should work.)
-No more settings FC
-Most FCs you find will be from features removed, head to apps folder and follow the Google Doc to install missing features.
Not Working:
- To Set Wallpaper, You Can Long Press Home Screen or Set From Gallery (I removed native wallpaper picker so it wont work through settings)
-Wallpaper Picker is in the download link!
Install Instructions:
1: Download ROM from link below.
2: Download SuperSU.zip from HERE.
3: Place ROM and SuperSU.zip on External SD Card (Or you should be able to use internal)
3.5: (Optional) Move/Copy stock apps from the download link to /system/app.
4: Boot in Recovery, make a backup if you want to be on the safe side.
5: In SafeStrap Recovery, use Stock Slot and Wipe (Standard wipe should work)
6: Flash the ROM.zip and then flash the SuperSU.zip immediately after.
7: Reboot System and ENJOY
I am not responsible for your phone if something goes wrong during flashing of the ROM. I can assure you both ODEX and DeOdex versions were tested on MY OWN retail Verizon S5 @raynan 's AT&T retail S5 and everything worked the way it should!
Shout Outs:

- @Hashcode0f for this little thing called SafeStrap Recovery!
- @Misterxtc for answering all my questions
- @Edgarf28 For inspiring me to make this ROM (His XtreStoLite ROM is still smaller than mine haha) and also for his Aroma Add-on Package I used to see what I could remove without breaking the ROM

Download Booster (already built into ROM just need to do this to be able to enable it)
1: Look up the thread in att forums for the zip.. will post by tom.. currently with fam but the vzw toggle will break
2: Go into SafeStrap Recovery and flash the file you downloaded. This will add the Download Booster Toggle to the Quick Tiles so you can enable Download Booster! Thanks go to MrHyde03 for making the flashable toggle.zip!
3: It does say NCG (Verizon Variant) but should also work for AT&T as the files used for download booster are identical.
Viper4Audio
1: It is already installed on the ROM as well as the build.prop has been edited.
2: Open Viper APK and install the drivers for it (it is easy and choose the settings you want.)

It does NOT work.. I removed it as bloat lmao.. But you shouldn't need it.. On my VZW S5 with this bad boy I pulled over 5.5 hours screen on time and just about 24hrs and still had 25-30% battery remaining before I plugged it in. This was with 4g/wifi, few calls, heavy web browsing, heave xda app, heavy gaming etc. for over 5.5 hours and still had battery remaining. The phone will use less resources with over 1gb of crap removed as well as you will have more storage space and more than 1gb of system ram (unless you install a bunch of apps back onto the phone.)
I pm'd you rather than commenting lol excited for another new ROM but I can test for you if you'd like.
i have about 5 or so people testing now so soon as they get back to me ill know whats up n post it if all is well!

I am not sure.. Out of the box No.. Lol.. But that is because i removed the gear manager files. However, I had a request in the VZW forum. I am not sure if this will flash the recovery (wont hurt to try it) but here is a (i hope to work) flashable zip to replace the gearmanager files: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358557793
If it won't flash, you can extra it and the files go in System/App - then I would assume set permissions and you should be good to go.

As long as you back them up and restore them, you should be good to go. You can also look around for the apk and push it.

Code:
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.policy.MinitBattery android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
Code:
[COLOR="red"][/COLOR]

Benny, and I have had this phone for a couple of months. We have been playing and testing the ZTE waters so to speak. We have now consolidated all of our ideas into one flashable utilizing an Aroma installer.
We highly suggest installing logcat while you are there. There are really only two pertinent items now when reporting issues:
1) Are you using Magisk or SuperSu for root\
2) Options selected that you are having an issue with.
Please enjoy the ROM
Guide for using SVN
Step 1: Install Tortoise SVN
This is pretty straight-forward, simply download the correct installer for your PC (32 or 64).
Step 2: Create a folder to download the ROM
Create a folder on your Windows PC, call it whatever you want, BadBoyz ROM, ZTE, whatever
Step 3: Add the SVN Checkout Link
Right click on the folder you added in step 2 then choose SVN Checkout
Add the following link to "URL of repository": http://svn.badboyzsvns.com/ZTE_Axon_7/
Step 4: Ready to Download!
Right click on the folder you added in step 2 then choose SVN Update
The ROM structure will download
Step 5: Create the ROM!
Simply double click the "Run_to_build_ROM.bat" to create the ROM
Copy ROM from ROM folder to your phone & flash away!
Here is the latest B19 Bootstack with TWRP included. It is TWRP flashable.
This is for the A2017U version. If you are coming from a different version there is a thread for that.

Magisk ROM INFO:
What is this? A pure magisk ROM allows you to maintain an untouched stock system while having all the features of a custom ROM and root. The modifications run as a module, and makes for a much more stable ROM than one that has been run through the kitchen and deodexed.
Also, If you are on this ROM. updates will be much less cumbersome. Once the data image is in place further mods/changes require a very small file to flash. End game- you will be on a custom ROM, rooted, and still be able to take OTA's.
My stategy: I keep the stock recovery on my sd card. After the OTA has dl'd, disable the current ROM module in Magisk manger, boot to twrp, and flash the stock recovery img. Then, in twrp, choose reboot recovery. You should boot into stock recovery, at witch point you can flash the OTA. An updated module will be provided here in due time. I use this device so updates to the module will come quickly.
Instructions:
1) Restore your stock system image backup in TWRP. If you don't have one you can flash the stock img's in post #3. If you are not on N flash the bootstack first then the B15 stock file. Wipe data and reboot.
2) Reboot and breeze through the setup. No wifi, google acct, etc
3) Reboot to TWRP. Don't swipe to allow system modifications. Keep system RO. Swipe to factory reset, then flash the Magisk ROM.

Not sure. You'll have to try. I always mod the rom to my liking w/out Xposed
Gallery not seeing my SD card. Also 3 finger screen capture not working. Screenshot not working.

Xposed allows a lot more than just modding.

I can't replicate either of these issues. Both work for me. Did You clean flash?

This isn't my first rodeo. I baked the rom. I know what xposed is and what you can do with it. I just prefer to leave app_process alone, and do what I need thru hard code

There is an updated ROM uploading right now. Please try back later
I neglected to remove the NFC icon from the status bar. That is the reason for updating/re-upping the ROM
Can we get the stock clock app as an add-on?

Yessir. I'll be right on it tomorrow am. Please understand that this ROM is in it's infancy. When N gets released we will have more mods and features. I have developed stuff all the way from honeycomb to nougat. It's just not worth the work right now to edit the code as it WILL change with the upcoming release
