my friends have a HTC one M7 run with stock ROM lollipop ,sense 6
he want to install sweep 2 Weak(double tap) and he search for other good feature to install in his phone
So can any one help me and tell me what should i do step by step and what kernel you advice me to install

unlock the bootloader htcdev.com/bootloader
flash twrp recovery
push the kernel to your phone memory and flash it form recovery

just backup your stock rom first with cmw save it to your pc for safe keeping then your good to go

Yes, you can gain root access and have a custom recovery. I have that phone. As for custom roms, that I do not know. I have root to remove bloatware, but I am still running the stock rom.
All those things. yes. In fact, I'm replying on my unlocked, s-offed, rooted with a TWRP touch recovery and dodexed Sense ROM.

Yes you can just Google root sprint HTC m8 hk you will find tons of options that way
I do have the hk I mainly use viper Rom but captain throwback has a awesome gpe Rom that works amazingly on our phones just read up on the thread before flashing things

First Go To htcdev website and unlock your boot loader and than use the kings root to root your device

So? SDK22 = Android Lollipop (5.1.x). ARM64-v8a should then be arm64.
Alternatively, you could use the systemless Xposed, which will automatically install the correct version.

King root will not success in first time , u have to try multiple times ..
sometimes it will restart your phone ,

I have HTC M8 SPRINT UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER AND S-OFF and i want to install CUSTOM ROM. I am confused in hundard of threads which acutally one will work so i need direction how to instal CUSTOM ROM as i have latest stock rom installed with stock recovery. Is there any need to root the device, if yes how to do it. Please let us know if there are any drawbacks of this. Thanks in advance.

The best ROM is the one that works for you. Just start flashing and find a ROM that suits you.
