You need to get some charge in it if you are trying to flash anything. Unless you have a factory cable, a factory USB cable will charge the battery even if your phone is bricked

What's happening? Bricks run away from us ) No, I have a hunch they return lately. Motorola isn't that easy quest.
Most annoying thought for me now is what will happen with those who raised their locked boot loaders to high Lollipop versions. Will they get flashable SBF (RSD) firmware, or not...

I could, but I lost a lot of night sleep kkkk other words, has that much to wrap your head get

Hard BRICK ?

So, I have an big problem which I have never seen before..
I try to flash my phone with this firmware "CFC_8.7.1I-110_IFW-39_S7_UCASMI01E1017.0R_USASMIICSVFFR_P045_A006_S1F F_fb.xml", but when my phone reboot for the first time, the screen stay black and nothing happened!
There's just the green light wich swich on and the vibration, but nothing on the screen!
And, if I plug into my laptop, I get the connection sound notification from my laptop but I can't do anything else.
If I try the command "Adb reboot-bootloader" it's write "device not found"
What can I do if I can't access anything?
Thanks in advance for you help.
What about your Battery? Try to connect your Wall Charger and let it charge for an while. If you're an lucky Guy it will boot after that.

Same issue here, doesn't seem battery issue as my battery was at about 90% when it happened. Now I can't do anything. I tried flashing the locked bootloader image with Handy-Faq.de_unlocked_and_locked_Logo_Flasher, after that it went into fastboot saying "bad flash", so I reflashed with CFC_8.7.1I-110_IFW-39_S7_UCASMI01E1017.0R_USASMIICSVFFR_P045_A006_S1FF_fb, now it won't turn on again, I just get the green light sometimes...

Uhhh... sounds bad. But the Logo Flasher only contains the Logo for 39 & 40 ICS. Seems like it get an higher secure level on JB. To solve this issue you should have used the logo out of the OTA.
Sorry Guys, I don't know what's going on here but it looks like an downgrade from JB just bricks our RazR i. I only flashed the Homemade from Matt and I was able to downgrade without any issues.

I think its a problem exclusive to CFC_8.7.1I-110_IFW-39_S7_UCASMI01E1017.0R_USASMIICSVFFR_P045_A006_S1F F_fb.xml, because you can downgrade to .32EU perfectly.
AW: Hard BRICK ?
I was wondering, when you extract the SFR39 Fastboot there's no OTA Folder in it.
Ok, so downgrade with an EU will work, good to know

Bad news.. :/
I don't know if I unmount my phone and try to charg the battery manually or send my phone to the after sales mannager?
I bought my phone on c-discount with a garanty during 2 years for break, so i don't know if they could accept my phone if I told them something like "I upgrade my phone and now it's not working at all" ?

Well,
I got luckier, got a replacement right away. However, I think it's time to wait for a stable solution, in the meantime I'll stick with the stock BR 4.04... LOL
Hi, i've just updated the phone to Vodafone JB OTA update, it works fine.
I wanted to have a Retail EU JB Rom, so i wanted to revert back to 4.0.4 with CFC_signed_customer_8.7.1I-110_IFW-DE-32_RTEU.xml.zip, and flash with RSD lite, but i can't even go to fastboot.
When i press vol down+power, i see the green light and motorola logo, but it just starts the phone to jellybean...
Where the fastboot has gone ???
AW: Hard BRICK ?
You are such an lucky guy. Dude, read this Thread, think about it and read it again. After that tell me again that you wanna downgrade from this OTA Update.
No i won't tell you how to get into fastboot and you should be thankful for that :screwy:

Kind of dissapointed that you created a thread, asked in multiple places, and PM'd me the same question/issue. Especially considering it was 4AM eastern time when you started asking... (non of us in the USA would have been on, or well, very very few would have been on)

I know , I am sorry , i was just really freaked out .. please go ahead and delete the other thread. I apologize.
Thank you so much for your patience and help. I have tried unlocking the bootloader and flashing stock firmware (both were succesfull) but the problem still remains , it is stuck on the boot screen. (earlier at the MOTO M Logo and now at Warning Bootloader unlocked screen) . There are no service centers where I Live so I can't send it to a service center , is there any last resort methods I could try ? Once again , Sorry and Thank you.

Did you flash using RSDLite? That is the safest thing to do. Also, did you enable USB debugging and authorize your computer?
If not using RSD lite, how are you flashing back to stock?
Also, have you tried installing Motorola Device Manager and letting it repair your phone? You get into bootloader mode and then plug your phone into your computer and start MDM.

I've struggled with a similar issue on an XT1053, though mine already had an unlocked bootloader. Phone freaked out, shut down, and now crashes every time a few seconds after it gets to the blue logo., and goes into endless bootloops. Here for more detail -http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/moto-x-qa/boot-loop-puzzle-t3080565
Since I've flashed the stock images a couple of times (which seems to work, or at least shows no errors), I think it might be a hardware or battery issue. I'll try MDM, but am not especially optimistic.
Had you installed any new apps? I had been playing a new driving game on the day it crashed, though it might be coincidence.

[XT1068] - Hard Bricked while downgrading - HELP!!

Recently i installed the soak test of Marshmallow update. but after that i decided to go back to stock kitkat by using Easy KITKAT installer http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/windows-tool-moto-g-2014-xt1068-dual-t2983295
while i was downgrading my phone automatically TURNED OFF!!! :crying: . After that i tried to restart my phone. But it didn't restart. i plug the wall charger in, it didn't charge. i tried to connect it to pc. nothing happened. Only there is a plugging sound in pc. In device manager my phone is recognized as QHSUSB_BULK with yellow exclamatory sign. :crying: . i can't flash another rom because
Stock Recovery isn't working.
Yesterday i took my phone to service center, they told me they can't fix it. i am very frustrated right now.
I couldn't find any solution in the internet and in this forum. So this is my last try by posting in this forum.
IF ANY ONE CAN HELP ME, I WILL BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.
HELP! HELP! :crying:
There have been warnings everywhere to not downgrade the bootloader after going to Marshmallow, the Kitkat easy installer most likely did that. There's nothing you can do, other than get a new phone.

I had the same problem. Like the guy said... no other option BUY a NEW PHONE! At the moment that's the only option available. Everyone is waiting with eager anticipation for 6.0 update, if it's so good why are so many people going back to their previous OS version and bricking their phones? Motorola are not prepared to help at all claiming that downgrades are not supported and will never be supported. I go a new (2nd hand) XT1068 and I'm on 5.0.2. I WON'T be updating again that's for sure!
Guys a good news is the required mbm ci files have been released for moto g 1st gen and people have been successfully reviving their dead phones... Just keep hope and continue discussing in forums so that we get a solution as well... I am asking help from a couple of developers... hoping for the best. Cheers!! : )

. That's great for people with 1st gen phones. Lenovo / Motorola have said repeatedly on their forum that are aware of the problem but that they have no intention of releasing the required files for The Moto g2...
what is the proper way to downgrade from 6.0.1 to 4.4.4? or there is no way to downgrade. I also want to go back to kikat but there is no proper tutorial on forum so that i afraid.

Fully Hard Bricked Moto G xt1072 (Help) DX

So i have a Moto g xt1072 wich i got second hand.. i got it into recovery mode and eventually got it working, but it was really unstable, so i wanted to reflash the stock rom, because it looked like the current one on the phone was corrupted (i was running android 6.0) (btw i have a xt1068 as my daily driver, but i want this to work again)
So i started flashing http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-lte/general/stock-6-0-marshmallow-europe-reteu-t3338075 <-this
but i had errors and it was failing multiple times.. so i looked up some tutorials, and most of them were unlocking the bootloader at the beginning, so i was unlocking and locking the bootloader trying to get the commands to work,
then i found a tutorial wich coppyd all of the commands at once, so i tried that.. screen went black..
Wont boot into recovery, 3sec method or 120 sec method, and connects to my pc as QHSUSB_BULK
luckily i made a picture of the recovery when i tried to flash:
http://imgur.com/8avCk3T
I think i may need to blank flash, but im not certain..
I would also like to find the firmware for this phone that wont brick it..
Can anyone help?
Need more info?
Please just ask me, i will respond immediately
i dont care what i need to do.. even if i need to hardwire (because im really good at those finicky things)

okay, so there are different types of hardbricks, all act the same, but one is harder to unbrick than the other, there is qh usb bulk and qhas bulk with numbers behind it, search for force unbrick lg g2,
now the problem is, it should be easy to unbrick the phone at thsi point, but im not an expert in that and have no idea what to do now xD so i posted it on xda, but no one answered me.. xD hopefully this clears it up some more

So that link to another thread in XDA forum, I think I had a similar experience. I too have the XT1072 as I live in the UK. now here on XDA you have to be careful and ask 3 4 maybe 5 times before someone listens properly. I know it is hard for the devs with so many dumb noobs asking so many dumb questions, I include myself as a noob so no worries. Anyway to get to the point that link is not referring to our phone the XT1072. You should ignore LTE in your search criteria, it will always point you towards the 2015 model and believe you me all roms in my experience area very device specific. You need to simply put Moto G 2nd gen 2014 in search criteria when it comes to searching for custom recoverys and/or stock ROMS. The Titan.IMG is always a safe bet if I remember correctly, dont take my word for it, I have been known to have a memory like a sieve now and again, the problem with getting older, cache gets smaller and smaller, lol! Best of luck!
