[Guide] [LB] Rooted Lollipop With Xposed Working - Sony Xperia ZR

Hi All,
First Off.. Let's agree that we don't have a working recovery for our Xperia ZR that works on locked bootloaders Lollipop,
I've tried all the methods even the one provided by zxz0O0 - Thread - and nothing worked though..
So here is the only way i've managed to have working Xposed on locked bootloader Lollipop :
Tools needed
New Flashtool with XperiFirm Integrated / SuperSu Zip / xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430.zip / ZR Locked Dual Recovery 2.8.15 Installer / PRFCreator.
FW 10.5.1.A.xx just to have working recovery (temporarily).
FW 10.6.A.0.454 : This is the one we're going to customize.
Pre-Start :
open PRFCreator
In the FTF File : choose the 10.6.A.0.454 which been downloaded before using XperiFirm/Flashtool.
In the SuperSu Zip : choose the SuperSu-Zip.
The Important Part : In Extra Zip : add the "xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430.zip".
check all options : Include (kernel, FOTAKernel, Modem, LTALabel) , and also Sign zip.
Now click on create and leave it till it finishes.
Lets Start :
Whatever ROM you're on now, Don't Forget to Backup !
Copy the created "flashable-signed" to your external SD-Card (we will use it latter after having working recovery)
Now flash the old FW 10.5.1.A.xx using Flashtool
After booting successfully, go to settings>about> tap build number 7 times to enable developer options.
No go to Settings> Developer options> enable usb debugging.
Root the current ROM and install Recovery using "Locked Dual Recovery" Method 3 (towelroot method), if it doesn't work like what happened to me, then root the ROM using KingRoot apk, and then install Recovery using "Locked Dual Recovery" Method 1 (superSu) it's gonna work.
Now after having working Recovery:
Boot into recovery.
Wipe everything (Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache, Format System).
Flash the "flashable-zip" from External SD-Card, wait it until it finishes.
reboot.
NOTE : if you got bootloop, pull the battery and re-boot the device, now it should work.. you'll be getting andoid is upgrading (First boot is going to take a lot of time).
DONE
After successfully booted to Rooted LP, you have to install XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha2.apk on your device to install Modules and tweak your device.
If you guys have any questions feel free to ask in the thread, also if there is any easier method please provide.
Thanks

tested, it's working fine, thanks

Hi xgerardox
it seems like you're placing the Files in a long directory, ie : D:\mobile\xperia\xperia zr\lollipop..etc
So maybe you can try to make a folder in a root local drive to be like "D:\lollipop", it should work properly.

Java Error
From where I can get the JAVA the PRF creator is asking??

Works, Thanks ! slight clarification
This works great. Gets boot loop in the end but remove battery and boot solves it. Am kind of a noob so i wnaded to make on little clarification. We lose the recovery after flashing the LP, right ? Currently there is no way to have recovery on ZR locked boot-loader with lollipop ?

is it only me here who have issue with apps related to GPS after installing xposed framework?
when I open (let's say google maps or tinder), my phone reboots, and I have to pull my battery first to boot the ROM

hey i have successfully installed the recovery in lollipop on my ZR now its working fine........what if i directly flash the xposed_sdk_arm zip file??
will it work?

I istalar ise with cwm zip in and knew nothing of the boot.img or anything I was doing the recovery on htc samsung but not anything
So to get the boot image from the rom unzip the zip file and fund the boot image then copy it to the folder where your fastboot is then type fastboot flash boot boot.img after connecting your phone which should be in fastboot mode which is accessed through the bootloader. Then go to your recovery and flash rom zip again.

It looks like you are trying to use CWM as your recovery, highly recommended not to use that recovery with the Holiday variants. Use either TWRP OR WCX recovery.

Ok since your phone is s on, youll have to extract and flash the kernel of every rom you wish to flash before you flash it. To do that just restart your phone into bootloader and in your computer open an command window. Type fastboot flash boot boot.img and then flash the rom from recovery and before flashing any rom remember to wipe data, cache and davlik cache.
It is a process similar to how you'd unlocked the bootloader. While your phone says s on in the bootloader you have to repeat these steps each time you flash a Rom. Also in the case of the flash cm10 GAAP must also be flashed immediatly after, therwise the cell will give you problems.

Guys this guide is same as DooMLoRD's guide but modified for the 12.0.A.2.254 firmware version for Xperia SP (C5302/3).
Follow these simple steps and get your sexy device rooted.
Open FlashTool and flash the XperiaSP_C530X_12.0.A.1.257_KernelOnly.ftf - 6.78 MB file.
Reboot your device and connect to PC in usb debuggin mode.
Close FlashTool. (important step)
Download and Extract DooMLoRD_Easy-Rooting-Toolkit_v18_perf-event-exploit.zip to root directory on C:\
Execute runme file(runme_linux.sh for linux, runme_mac.sh for mac and runme_win.bat for windows) and follow the instructions, in the end your device will be rebooted.
Hopefully you will be rooted now(You can check it by launching SuperSU app from the launcher).

flash the kernel from the new fw.

[Edit - ok, stupid question, was trying sony flasher and not flashtool]
hello, sorry to interrupt but i guess this is a very noob question. i can't flash the kernel only (files provided by doomlord). after opening the flashtool, i select flashmode and after that, in selecting the firmware, there's no .257 kernel only, and flashtool doesn't recognize the files because its not in the ftf format because its in the .zip format. please help me on what to do, cause i'm not getting it. and can someone give me a clear instruction on how to flash the kernel only. thank you in advance.

Rename the file from .zip to .ftf and make sure you put it in c:/flashtool/firmwares folder
Then it should work.
Sent from my C5303 using Tapatalk 4
i tried renaming it to .ftf but still the flashtool doesn't recognize it. the icon is still the same as on the .zip icon. i don't know what to do to make it .ftf file
edit: problem solved! just a little google will help
Worked just fine for me, thanks!
downloaded kernels are in zip format. how should i format them via flashtool ? change .zip extension to .ftf ?
edit: it worked just changed zip extension to ftf
edit 2: and rooted successfully
thanks!!
it Works
if it doesn't work for someone make sure ADB Driver is installed for ur Device.

I find solution that can make CWM and Xposed installer working!
After follow all the instruction on my first post, now:
1. Make sure have to tick unknown source and USB debugging (Abount phone > keep clicking the build number until it show Developer options)
2. Open file (XT-lockeddualrecovery2.7.89-BETA.installer.zip) and run (install.bat)
3. While progressing, check your phone and select OK
4. Done!
5. After installing then open app (NDR Utils), select ClockWordMod and click Reboot into Recovery (don't not press volume up or down while rebooting).
*6. If Reboot into Recovery not working, then manually power off and on again, but I think still having some issue there. Sorry if not working
For Xposed Installer:
1. Download from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48484642&postcount=6846
2. Install. Then shut down your phone and power on again.
3. Done.

Shouldn't be a problem with locked bootloader. After flashing (TX LT29i 4.3 295 deodex flashable04.zip), try to flash (XT-lockeddualrecovery2.7.89-BETA.flashable.zip), then (UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.91.zip). Mmm.. and my opinion is not to upgrade to sony official 4.3 JB, because having lot of bugs and the most annoying bug is that will turn your phone off when fully charge. Maybe you can try 4.3 leak from EXR

Thanks man i.ve allready try it and i locked the bootloader again and restore the TA backup, i´m testing now with this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2657190 and yes i know about all the bugs on 4.3, personally didn´t see that bug on my phone i leave it all night charging and wake up and its on and 100% charged so there´s no problem there for me, what does really bothers me is the volume bug and low volume system, but with root and CWM installed i guess it can be fixed.
So in order to use this method I should start with rooted 4.1.2? If so unfortunately I've lost root access due to official 4.3 update

Hi bro, I have tried, but i don't understand step 5 - 6
http://www.movilesdualsim.com/tema/h30-u10-huawei-honor-3c-root-cwm-firmware-roms-gapps-wdcma.60213/

and after translate into English ( by Google Translate) :
5th mobile without connecting the battery and let the program flashee
6 put battery and boot, and put the recovery will be, which is hard if you are not, you can be root or not, with the phone off vol + and power.
If you do not know it works or the CWM recovery In this post you can see a description of its operation and how to install patches, roms, do wipes ...

H30-T10
Hi everyone is there any of you that can help me? I have H30-T10 2gb version of 3C and it is a great device managed to root it and install cwm and some nice b611 rom. Today I got ota update to b671 kit kat but cant update because of root and cwm. When I download stock rom and try the volume buttons and power button combo it wont update to stock rom. Usually on my other android phones it does the trick Can anyone help? I tried with few memory cards and nothing. It just brings the cwm up and I would like to bring it back to completely stock. Is there a way to flash stock rom over pc to my phone? That would be the best

Yeah sorry I will add to the op
Just FYI - Just flashed the zip and I'm getting constant bootloops. Phone switches off with flashing red LED then switches back on, gets past the android boot screen and stops in the first few seconds of the animation.
Any suggestions?

Have you wipe the cache and dalvik?
Wiped Cache and Dalvik as instructed. I managed to boot into recovery through Fastboot mode and when I tried to reboot into System it told me I had no OS installed!
I've just reflashed the .200 ftf and will have to make do with a normal odexed stock ROM for now

Kinda weird because no wipe system instructions in the updater-script only wipe system/app, framework and priv-app
Can someone make a backup, test and report please?
didnt work for me . after flashing this , ( wiped all cache) i didnt got bootloop but the phone started with like systemui missing. i couldnt press the back home and recent apps , only open apps. no wallpaper shown too. i restored a backup from twrp and that still didnt fix it ( i did factory reset ) so i ended up flashing an ftf to fix everything
OK I will remove the link because of the weird issues
