Notification sound menu grayed out - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6

Okay so I just tried to set a notification sound from the ones that came with the phone but I can't because my notification menu is grayed out! I turned off Power Saving Mode and rebooted my phone but same issue! Any help?
Thanks!

pull the drop down menu and see if you have the sound toggle button on silent, put it on sound if so.

That fixed it! Thanks!

I think I had the same problem after I rooted. Phone wouldn't vibrate when text messages, etc were received, even though the vibrate checkbox was checked in notification and text message app settings. I downloaded the app "Sound Manager" from the market. When you open it, press the menu key and select "vibration settings". For some reason, under "notifications", mine had been set to "never". I fixed this setting and vibration has been fine for notifications ever since.
Thanks for that tip but my settings still had vibrate on. Must keep looking. I know vibrate works cause i downloaded app that uses vibrate function.

Touch Vibration

I don't know why but the vibration feedback has stopped working when I am writing messages etc.
Is this a known issue? In the settings it is checked on vibrate on keypress..

Go to the Power Saver in the Notification area. Have you got a tick in the box? If so untick it.
Yeah I realised power save settings were still on after I froze power app to remove it from notification drawer.
It's working now. Thanks anyway mate

Just FYI, you can remove the notification without freezing the power app. First, unfreeze the app and you'll see the notification re-appear. From there, long press the notification and hit 'App Info' (You can also get to this from settings -> apps -> all). Uncheck the box to "Show notifications" and it will go away and not prevent you from using the 'Power' menu.

[Q] hide or disable 3 dot menu

I really hate the menu that pops up in apps such as facebook taking up space, ive tried hide bar but it also hides the status bar as well. is there anyway to hide or disable this.
also any suggestions on a button remapper that i can use to hold the back button to pull up menu, if not ill just use gmd gesture control(it just causes issue though)
Install a ROM that allows you to hold back for menu like viper, this will remove the menu pop up

Adding on to this... In the display settings of the rom there should be the option to enable long press as it isn't on by default.

[Q] Disable notification bar sounds?

When I download any file, update any app, or anything else that creates a notification prompt, I get a notification sound as well. I want to turn it OFF.
I cannot find how to do this!
Can anyone help? Has anyone noticed?
Settings-device-sounds-notifications... Select silent

That also mutes the MESSAGING notification. I am assuming it is all or nothing.

Had it gone into power saving mode previously? On my old s4 when it went to power saving mode sometimes i had to restart to get everything back.

I fixed this using Night Mode from Play apps
This happened to me. I read on another forum that someone fixed this by installing "Night Mode" from Google Play apps and toggling the app to be ON, then toggling it to be OFF. I did this, and immediately my auto brightness slider and toggle box were back in the notifications panel.
Hope this helps anyone else searching for a fix for this problem.

I can confirm that "Night Mode" app fixed the very same issue on my Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.
Thanks
