[Q] Expandable quicksettings for Stock ROM - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello XDA!
I have already tried some Custom ROM's but it looks like there's nothing like (tweaked) stock.
One of the things I liked the most were the expandable quicksettings present in CM12 roms. This image shows what I'm taking about:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I did a big search for this on google and here on xda and found nothing, must be because of missing the right keyword. But anyway, is there a way to be able to use this kind of feature in stock 5.0.2 ROM?
Thanks!

No you cannot enable such expanded settings on Stock ROM. You will have to unlock and root the phone and then flash a 5.1 based Custom ROM to avail such feature.
You can customize your notification toggles on Stock ROM tho ! Unlock device, root it and install Xposed Framework and GravityBox Module.
Hope it helps

Sorry that I did not mentioned it before, i have it already rooted and with custom recovery. I did already tried 5.1 rom's and didn't like their bugs (altough devs are making a great job!).
The thing is, I have seen this feature of toggling 3g connection on a stock moto g (1st gen), so that's where my question came from.
I have Xposed and GravityBox installed, where can I turn this feature on? I have already searched and can't find it

Anyone?

[Q] Flashing CWM Recovery - can't see my phone model

Hello all! Hopefully, I put this thread in correct section. If not, please move it.
Anyway, here is my question.
I installed ROM Manager because I want to try some other ROMs on my SGS i9000 and when I want to flash the CWM Recovery, the only option I get is Google Nexus S. Is this normal? Should it show my model? Can there be any problems if I choose Google Nexus S option?

Thank you!
What ROM are you currently on ? if its a custom ROM you may have the Nexus Drivers, and that could be why it is only showing you that option.
there are many other ways of flashing a custom ROM so dont give up if ROM Manager starts acting up.
i personally prefer a flash with ODIN and all update Flashes through CWM
I recently upgraded from 2.2.1 to 2.3.3. Here you can see more info:
As far as i know, this is not a custom ROM, just leaked one. Or am I wrong? I upgraded it with ODIN too and it wasn't hard, I just think it would be even easier, if i didn't have to use the computer and could download ROMs directly on the phone.

Which ROM has this (picture) and what is it called?

This is an extremely useful feature, especially for phones with fewer soft buttons. It's this little navigation bar pointed out in the picture below.
You can customize each of the buttons on it and can change the total number of buttons.
The best thing about it is it is ALWAYS visible, and only switches to a less intrusive form for fullscreen videos.
It is IMHO the single best reason to unlock a phone and put on a custom ROM. For increasing productivity/efficiency, no other feature compares.

Does this feature have an official name? (I've seen it called several things but nothing consistent.)
Was it a feature of one particular ROM?
Do any current ROMs for HTC One have it?
Thanks!
It's probably a Nexus-based ROM as they don't have hardware keys. As we do we don't on-screen buttons
You can get this feature if I'm not wrong also with aicp rom for htc one and Kang roms, search on the original android development, and try them
Sent from my Nokia 3310 now Free
You can get AOKP here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2264416
Can you get the nav bar without installing aokp?
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
If you're rooted, I think you might be able to get it via GravityBox. Haven't really tried that yet.

Xposed GEL settings misbehaving?

I tried running the Xposed GEL settings module and it just shrinks all my icons to an unviewable size. Has anyone else tried using it to customized GEL? Did it work for you? Any ideas for alternatives to customize GEL? Thanks!
I also tried it and the same thing happened to me

talked to the dev. We have search 3.9 everyone else has 3.6 so it seems we're out of luck until everyone else gets updated and we're on the same level.

I removed the version of Google Search in new Moto X and installed version 3.6.
Now, I can go back to using Xposed GEL Settings.
Let's wait for a new version of the application for it to be compatible with Google Search 3.9.

It could be this has something to do with dpi, which is set unusually high for this device. From what I hear, the icons and text are by default displayed quite large compared to other devices.
Xgels was updated today to officially support the X.

Running the Pac-Man rom...

Running the Pac-Man rom and no matter what gapps I flash none of them are working. What is going on?
I have downloaded the 4.4.4 Gapps-kk from here: https://basketbuild.com/gapps
Also for some odd reason it seems like I have a custom boot menu now:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And even though I don't have unFalcon installed it seems to think I do.
Is this causing my problem?

Where did you download the ROM from? There's nothing in it that would cause that. I doubt you actually downloaded PAC-ROM, but you can get it from the basketbuild site. I don't have anything in my ROM that will get rid of the unFalcon or that moboot background, although there are threads here that tell you how to do it. What you are showing comes from here which is a port by a 13 year-old kid who is long gone.

AOSP 5.1.1 (Lg Leon ms345)

Today I present to you AOSP Lollipop, based off of the F-AOSP source here-->https://github.com/F-AOSP/manifest/tree/aosp-5.1

This is by far the most pure experience of android you shall ever see. Unless you use a newer version of AOSP.
I'll give a huge shout out to the makers and maintainers of F-AOSP, for bringing something so quick and bug free!
So without further ado

Bug's
So far I have found, with the help of my brother
1.The video recording doesn't work, as with other versions of custom roms
2.The media volume slider doesn't slide, nor animate when clicking the buttons and playing music. But you can slide the ringer volume.
3.RIL doesn't work yet
You tell me other bugs!
IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME INSTALL THE RIL I WOULD THANK YOU SO MUCH.
