Can you get two full G4 charges out of it ? (I know it says 10k, i know they are supposed to be 67% of what's said on the label, i'm curious to know real data,)

buh.. in UK it's 19 pounds.. And that is 34 euro

Not too bad, the plug in chargers are £15 in UK, when I've seen them for $10 on amazon in the US...

What app are you using to see your charge rate?

had one like this before. it has max 2000mAh if i measure it by the %% it gives to the phone. I believe they use very cheap cells and just print whartever figure for capacity on it.

That charger does not work. At least not for the T-Mobile model. I'm convinced that Quick Charge 2.0 isn't activated. I've tired three different Aukey chargers (wall, portable, car) and QC does not work with any of them.

The G4 already charges fast. Did you compare actual charge times from the stock charger starting at the same level with your quick charger? Because I did and they all charged at exactly the same rate as the stock charger.
A full charge from the portable charger took the same amount of time as a full charge with the stock charger. For the wall charger, put my phone at 20% on the stock charger and my girlfriend's phone on the quick charger at 20% and they both hit 40% at the same exact time. The car charger similarly charged at the same rate.
Which model phone do you have?

I got a couple of these on Amazon for a little over $9.00 each using this coupon code: GOQL7EVL Not sure if it will still work because I ordered mine the other day. Since I have prime they were delivered second day air free.
Edit: I just checked the code still works.

The charger doctor Max is 7.0V, so I'm sure it charge @9V (Not 7.5V). You should use 13V USB Meter.
When you charged the Aukey, what's the Voltage showed ...5V or 7V ?

Yes...i realized that this USB DOCTOR max 7.0V
When charging the Power Bank with QC charger its shown 7.5 V too.
So far very impressive compare to others.

Yeah...same as my charger doctor below

my Wall charger (comes with the Phone) charges @ the same Rates, max was 1670 (readout from ampere),
a full charge (from 6%to 100) goes under 2h, will test that tomorrow

I bought Drok usb multimeter, it is up to 10V
http://www.amazon.com/DROK-Multimet...442037840&sr=1-1&keywords=drok+usb+multimeter
comes with metal case, feels not cheap. I have not tried it in QC 2.0 as of now my Normal fast charger gives me 5.4V and 1.6A ,
and I am here to see what QD 2.0 Power bank is Good.

I believe there is a button in the usb doctor to see the ampere it reads. can you take a picture of it too? I really don't trust Ampere app that much. since in the cellphone of my brother, it reads 3.0 A (3000mA), although the charger could only supply 1.8A.

LG G4, stock battery, quick charging 2.0 and AUKEY charger, is it a safe match?

...it's still boxed and I've also found a thread here in XDA sayin it doesn't work on G4. For some reasons. I still haven't tested it. Yet the reviews of LG G4 owners on Amazon of this particular charger are all very positive.
ANYWAY
Prior to the LG G4 release I read a few articles that talked about a certain 3300mA battery that was Quick Charge 2.0 compatible.
This puzzles me.
THE QUESTION:
Do I need such 3300mA battery or a QuickCharge 2.0 special battery to *safely* quick charge my LG G4, or is the stock 3000mA battery ok?
(OPTIONAL QUESTIONS)
1) Is it going to damage my phone/battery in some way? Will the battery life get shorter? Will it overheat causing the phone/battery any damage?
2) How is it possible that a Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 certified charger does not work with the G4?
3) Could you suggest me a trusted, working charger, possibly under 15 euros?
Thanks for your time!
I think when you get people to say it doesn't work, doesn't mean it won't charge. It means that you won't get the additional benefit of quickcharge 2.0. AFAIK, the phone will still charge at higher amp (5V 1.8A), but will not charge at the QC 2.0 (9V 2A) standard.

Thanks for your answer. I still don't know what to think because LG-G4 owners' reviews on Amazon are all positive and satisfied with the increased charging speed.
What about the main question?
I use the same exact charger on my G4. It's great.
1. No damage, and your battery life won't be any shorter than regular charging. The QC is set to slow down after 60%, if I'm not mistaken.
2. Don't know who told you that it wouldn't work with the G4..
3. Who says you have to pay a lot for quality? It's a charger..

1. I heard 75% myself but either way it slows down.
2. The G4 seems to be finicky to what QC2.0 charger it wants to work with. There are reports of it not working with the aukey and reports of it working with the aukey.
3. Cheap crappy chargers can actually cause harm. If it's QC2.0 certified there's no problem.

I got [phone was off] 30% after 20 minutes
55% after 40 minutes
75% after 1 hour
then took 40 minutes for the remaining 25%, 10 minutes the last 5 percent alone.
Is QC2.0 working? I haven't ever measured normal charge percentages. It was a little bit hot in the first hour, then it cooled down.
I used the USB cable shipped with the AUKEY charger since the instructions say "please use the included cable for your non-iOS device" or something like that.
Should I keep using it or using the original G4 cable will make a difference?
Could you please suggest me a good (possibly cheap) QC2.0 certified charger from another brand that has a more... constant behaviour with the G4?
Thanks for your time
several days ago, i buy aukey multiport QC 2.0. From my experience, QC 2.0 does not give any advantage to G4, compare to original charger. It's need 102 minute from 5% to 100%. Stock charger need 105 minute from 5% to 100%. claim that's QC 2.0 will charge 60% for 30 minute, not proven using aukey. When i test using usb voltage and current tester, aukey using 9V. So i'm curious, is really G4 is qualcomm QC 2.0 compatible ? Yes, it's can use 9V for charging, but not get advantage charging 60% for 30 minute, and not much different from stock charging that only using 5V.
Something make me curious to, why other charger with more than 2A output, needed about 3hour (or more), compare to G4 stock charging (1.8A). Is this stok charging made spesial for fast charging too ? and G4 cannot get advantage from other charger, although it's have more than 2A output ?
My genuine Samsung fast adaptive charger charges my G4 about 20%+ faster. May be an Aukey problem.
I don't think aukey is the problem. It can charge at 9v, than regular 5v. But it not make it more faster than stock charger.
But for Samsung charger, yes, it can charged faster than stock charger, according to my mailing list friend. I'm not try using it yet, just order another QC 2.0 charger. LVSun 4 port charger, can be use for desktop or car charger.

I bought this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZZG6IKU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00
and it does not appear to charge any faster than regular car charger i had before. Ampere+ reports 1375mA or so
I heard that LG G Flex2, G4, is compatible with the Quick Charge 2.0 tech. If the phone is compatible, it is safe to charge it with a quick charger. And my friend use the Aukey 10000mAh Portable fast charger to charge his iphone. He says the charger works well and I wanna try it.
I just bought a Tronsmart Quick Charge charger and it charged from 15% to 100% in about 1:15 hours while a Samsung 2.1A charger (the one that came with my S4) charges it in 4 hours from 10% to 100%
If it slow down it's useless, I need to charged my phone before I leave home, like I have 80% because I used it during morning, but before leave home I need 100%...
So I just charged my phone with the original charger for the first time and it is actually giving me Quick Charge 2.0 speeds. From 27% to 67% in 40 minutes which translates to 1% every minute.
AUKEY Fast Charger ... Works great
I have the Aukey Pa-T1 5 Port Qualcomm 2.0 Certified Charger. It does charge faster than stock LG Charger. Generally, it seems to charge 1% or more per minute but slows down after about 80% charged. I have been using the LG Stock 3000ma batteries with the charger. Aukey guarantees that the charger will not harm the battery or phone. There is a special circuit inside the charger to regulate proper charging. The only way this charger won't work correctly is if you have a knockoff battery or cheap cable.
I have aukey 3 port usb quick charge and it is much faster than original LG one. Almost 3 times faster!

Anker Quick Charge 3.0 (Charger Review)

*Disclaimer*.....the S7 does not support Quick Charge 3.0. It only supports 2.0 but I may be picking up the G5 or HTC 10 which does support it.
I needed a new/extra charger so I figured I'd get something that supports the latest Quick Charge technology.
The charger itself feels well made. The prongs fold in for traveling purposes and it doesn't block the outlet/outlets sitting next to it. In regards to noise this charger makes none of it. Those who have used cheap chargers know the humming/buzzing noise I'm referring to. It's extremely annoying.
Now onto the part that really matters. I haven't had the time to compare this charger to the stock Samsung charger in regards to really putting them through the paces but early results look promising for the Anker.
I started the charge process with quick charge enabled at 5% and started a timer for 30 minutes. The stock Samsung charger was able to bring the battery to 43% while the Anker charger brought the battery to 52%.
Within the next few days I will do a test from 5% to 100% both with quick charge enabled and disabled.
On a side note I also picked up a 6 foot kevlar wrapped Anker micro USB cable. It feels well made and the connections are nice. I probably wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't on sale but I needed a new long micro USB cable.
So far I'd have to say that if you need another charger and you want Quick Charge 3.0 for another phone then go ahead and grab one. If you don't really need another charger or don't need Quick Charge 3.0 then I wouldn't waste the money on one unless you really want the slightly faster charging for the S7 Edge.

No, it will charge at the same speed as a QC 2.0 charger since there S7/S7E don't support QC 3.0
That's exactly what I asked, re qc2.0 but thanks for clarification, I wasn't sure if qc3.0 was 'backwards compatible' kind of thing

Wired. I have no use for wireless chargers.
Once you go wireless you don't go back. lol I hate wires. I have four wireless chargers. Three were pretty much free. With T-Mobile Jump (phone junkie) I just sell my fast charging cablez and headphones for a few bucks since I don't need anymore. So why didn't Samsung put 3.0 charging in the S7 Edge?
I guess they designed the phone before quick charge 3.0 was available? Maybe it hurt they're bottom line? I don't know but whatever the reason it was a stupid decision.
The reason I don't like wireless chargers is because the only time I ever charge my phone is either in the car or while laying in bed. In both places I like using the phone while it charges.

No, QC has it as part of the SoC, si its supported technically but Samsung chose not to use it for an unknown reason.
They disabled it in the Snap dragon version because the other phone with their own SOC wouldn't support it so to keep the 2 on parity they disabled ours.

any info on the "quick charge"?

So I got my VIVO XL yesterday, charged it, and used it for one cycle all the way to 1%. I have to say, the battery life was amazing on that first cycle and I was impressed. Phone on time was 15hr 11mins, screen on time was 6hr 41mins, all this on my first charge and at 50% brightness.
I was excited that the battery was at 1% and couldn't wait to use the "quick charge" to see how "fast" it would charge since I never had a device with "quick charge capabilities" before. So I plugged it in, and timed it, what a major disappointment.
Here are the results(phone plugged in at 1%):
1hr @ 43%
1hr15min @ 51%
1hr 30min @ 62%
1hr 45min @ 71%
2hr @ 79%
2hr 15min @ 86%
2hr 30min @ 90%
2hr 45min @ 93%
3hr @ 96%
3hr 15min @ 97%
3hr 30min @ 98%
3hr 45min @ 99%
3hr 56min @ 100% FULL CHARGE
4hrs to charge a phone
Anyone else experience this. This took longer to charge than any device I ever used/tested/played with. and is totally unacceptable. There is no information anywhere as to what this so-called "quick charge" is. When I first plugged it in to charge, it said something about check this box for DU quick charge. What is that? It said I had 18 minutes of quick charge available.
I did some digging around, and the device is supposed to be supplied with a 9V/2A quick charger, I was supplied a 5V/2A charger. I sent an email to BLU in reference to this issue. BLU might owe us all new chargers:silly:

thanks for the feedback guys
I've given up on getting quick charging on this phone. Since the phone has a mediatek cpu, it supposedly supports Mediatek's version of quick chargings (9v, 2a) which is called PumpExpress+. I bought a Meizu MX5 charger off of aliexpress which is suppose to support PE+. Even with the Meizu charger, I still onyl get 5v and 1.4amps max. I get that charge rate regardless of which charger I use.
I contacted Blu's support about this issue and they were extremely unhelpful. I asked if the phone supported mediatek PumpExpress+. I didn't get a straight answer, just a reply saying to only use the included charger. I asked if Blu is going to sell a compatible 9v charger for quick charging and they said no. I gave up at that point. Their support is pretty much useless. I like the phone otherwise though.
what are you using to read the charging volts/amps?
BLU cusomter service is probably the worst i have delt with in a while, and contacted the warrantu dept. They shipped out a 9v2a charger to(or so they said), it will be here friday. i will post my results.
you are the first person i heard that cant get a quick charge while using at least a 9v2acharger. maybe there is something wrong with your battery or charging port?
just installed Ampere to check the current. with crappy supplied BLU charger, it see 3.9v max and 1.2a max. Tried galaxy s4 charger which is also a 5v2a charger, results were almost identical; 4v max and 1.22a max

I used this this DROK usb watt meter. I don't trust ampere or any other app based measurements. Phones often have different charging profile depending if the phone screen is on or off in order to limit heat generation in the device. I've tried the Meizu charger with PE+ and a Qualcomm compatible QC 2.0 charger. Neither will charge the phone at 9v.
There was one other person on slickdeals who also could not get fast charging to work with a Meizu charger. I honestly don't think Blu enabled fast charging on this phone.
I would be super interested in your results with the charger furnished by Blu. Must've taken you quite a while to get them to agree to send you the charger. Props to your persistence!

Did you end up getting the 9v charger from Blu yesterday? I'm really interested in your results.
sorry for the late reply. needless to say, the charger BLU sent was a 5v1a. i called them back and they said thats the only chargers they give through warranty, and that they dont know why in was told id be sent a quick charger.
i bought this, and still only see 4v and 1.2a while charging. obviously it is not enabled in the device. can we say false advertisement?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019GQ6S2C/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_09krxbC05ZDXM
i am going to file a report with the FTC addressing this issue as it is illegal.
That's really unfortunate. Blu does supply a 9v/2a quick charger for the Pure XL phone. The Pure XL also has a Mediatek processor so if any charger from Blu could give the Vivo XL quick charging, that would be it. If you make enough trouble for them, they might send you the Pure XL charger! I agree that Blu's ad is extremely misleading. I like this phone otherwise, but Blu's customer service is pretty incompetent.
^the charger i bought from amazon is a 9v/2a, so using the charger from pure xl wont make any difference. quick charge is just not inside the device, guess BLU realized at some point before production began that it would dip too much into their profits if selling the phone for $150usd.

The charger you got from amazon is 9v/2a, but it's based on Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology. it'll only work on phones with Qualcomm processors that support the Quick Charge standard.
Vivo XL uses a Mediatek processor. So Qualcomm Quick Charge chargers won't work on the Vivo XL. You'll need a charger that supports Mediatek's 'Pump Express' technology. http://www.mediatek.com/en/features/power-management/pump-express/
you cant buy that charger anywhere though, so i cant even test it. also, someone on another forum said they got a blu device to accecpt the qualcomm charger, actually, it was a youtube video.

Very slow charging (measured with meter)

Model: CLT-AL00 (Dual SIM)
Build: 8.1.0.131 (C675)
Location: India
Chargers tested: Original box charger, Tronsmart Quick Charge 2.0 charger, Choetech Quick Charge 2.0 power bank
How is the charging speed for you guys? It has been over 24 hours since I received this phone and charging is too slow for me.
First of all Huawei cheated us Indians by not bundling supercharger and choosing to include a 9V/2A charger instead. It would have been great if the phone charged at least to that spec.
In 30 minutes, my P20 Pro charges about 14% (i.e. from 4% to 18%). And I wasn't using the phone. I first tried the charger/cable that came with it (upon which the phone displays fast charging) then my old Tronsmart Quick Charge 2.0 charger and finally Choetech QC 2.0 16000mah power bank. Although Huawei does not use QC, it should at least charge on 5V/2A speeds.
I used a USB meter to measure the output and was surprised that the phone uses only 5V/0.8A regardless of whether the screen is on or off. My S8+ uses 8.8V/1.6A (with Tronsmart and Choetech) while the screen is off and 5V/1.5A when the screen is on. At 5V/0.8A speed it could take 3 or 4 hours to charge the massive 4000mah battery.
What about you guys? I am wondering if I have a defective hardware and should replace within the window.
Also considering the phone supposedly uses "AI" everywhere to learn your patterns, did the charging speed improve over time or has it been the same since day 1?
You will only get fast charging with the 1st party charger. Its proprietary technology.

Yep, Supercharger needed. Mine will pull 2A on an Anker QuickCharge 2.0 charger using the original USB cable though.

I understand that. But even 1st party charger is only drawing 5V/0.8A power, just like a 3rd party charger.
Any 2A charger (1st party or not) should be capable of providing at least 5V/1.8A power. But here it isn't, which is why I am wondering if this is an issue with the my particular phone itself.
Does it have this written on the 1st party charger?

We don't get supercharger here in India. We get a 2A fast charger.
you will have to buy a supercharger from ebay.in. I just bought one for INR 1800
Quick charge should still give you at least 40% in 30 minutes. Your phone seems faulty to me
Hi, I have P20 Pro from over a week. I replaced Mate 10 Pro with P20 Pro and I don't understand why P20 Pro charges slower in my car than Mate did.
Mate was charge ~10-15% in 40-60 minutes when connected to car. P20Pro is charging ~2-3% at the same time.
I don't uderstand why. Both of phones have the same battery, the same CPU. That difference with charging exists only in car.
Thanks in advance for any solutions

yes, shows supercharging on lock screen
To know 2 ways how much Ampere it charges, then download app called Ampere it will tell you how much Ampere each charger gives. With SuperCharger it should say around 4500-4800Ampere.
The second way to know it's using supercharge is that it has 2 lightning icons connected in battery icon and that it says supercharge.
I've noticed that even if you have a supercharger, you need to have a proprietary cable AS WELL to get supercharge.
Otherwise you get bog standard charging, which takes about 2 hours to charge (I think. Never charge my phone from 0)

Wireless charging

Hi buds, how i can know if my s10 is charging fast through wireless. I have one Huawei CP60: https://consumer.huawei.com/en/accessories/wireless-charger/
And i bought from gearbest 15eur (without wall adapter) promo in February.
When i put my s10 charging i get wireless charging message. But I'm sure i can't get fast wireless charging.
Any help? This wireless charger don't support? The original wall adapter from s10 don't feed enough to get fast wireless charging?
When you put in on the charger, if it says "wirelessly charging" it's normal speed, if you see "rapidly" then it's fast charging. I don't think it's the wireless pad that makes a difference, it's the power block. I tried a 20$ cheap wireless charging pad with an old HTC power block and the phone says "wirelessly charging". If I use the samsung power block that came with the phone, it says something like "rapidly charging wirelessly".

Do you have Fast Wireless charge enabled? I have the plus but assume it is the same.

Ah yes, am not familiar with Exynos version. Did you try as suggested to search fast charging in main Settings window? Maybe it is under a different category.

You can monitor the actual mAmps output supplied to your phone by your wired/wireless charger using CPUX app. (free). Personally, I don't use wireless charging, am not sold on it, but anyways, the app will help you figure out how fast is the charging going on at any given time during the process. I use the orig. charger and when I plug it @ 25-30% it shows the mA input just below 3000 then gradually reduced until fully charged. My desktop USB 3.O gets only up tu 900mA.
Here are two screenshots of cpux if you're not familiar with that appk.

Not very fast, there's some convenience in wireless charging, but I'm not a fan of it.
Thermal battery throttling as of 38°C?
My Galaxy S10 (EU/Exynos, stock) starts to reduce charging power from 11W to 6W above 38°C battery temperature. Test have been made with different original fast charging power supplys and wireless chargers. When i use a fan to cool no power throttling at all. It's summer now in Switzerland and i stated much higher charging time. Normal?

Strange. My s10 is exynos as well and the option is there. I use wireless charging occasionally for convenience but prefer cable charging (set to standard mode). If plug in Samsung charger it says Fully charged in 1hour 20 minutes. With other charger (Huawei) it says 2 hours 30 minute. So I think it depends on the plug and its output power. Also I charging my phone when it is around 10%.
Oh and one more thing: if using wireless charging phone gets hot.

Means that Samsung reduces charging power as of 38°C to prevent more heat and therefore reduced battery life... makes sense.
