I have such problems with data connection on my Sprint M8. 3g doesn't work at all. and there is not roaming settings. I ve read some topics that says I have to update my profile and PRL but I have told without CMDA its impossible. I really need these functions ? so please help me to fix these. problems. and sorry my english

unfortunately no. there is no sprint service or any cdma
by the way my device doest have roaming settings either.

Life and it just relased 3g but i can not use it
try enabling 3g/UMTS frequency with QPST, should fix your problem if there is UMTS coverage
I've tried but can do it. from where it is there is a lot of options

your umts frequencies are all enabled (your QPST settings are fine), maybe it is APN problem or signal problem from operator

it seems there no problem at all yeap ? my device is sim free i think. is it possible that sprint does not allow 3g for my device ?

yes even when i put my sim card to the other device it seems 3g top of the screen. by the way there are no roaming settings is it possible that depend on this ? because when i travel to other countries i can not use roaming internet.
i don't know why settings don't appear but i advise to install 5.1 lollipop GPE it have much less problems with gsm network because its ported from gsm rom.
Make a full backup and install it (you cannot restore data even with titanium backup, you will have to install everything again because of ART runtime), or make multiboot if you have enough storage memory and test it.

Thank you but this is for signal only .
This may sound silly and basic, but after you save your APN info, and you are back at the list of APN's, is the little round button on the far right in green? It should be green to show that your phone is using that APN.
Also what is all the info you're putting into the fields of that APN? Maybe there's a typo you're not seeing?

Thank you, yes i saw that is green but not working.
I just switched to my new provider with simcard and I might have the same problem now! APNs there and selected but nothing happens

However it does not work. When I put it on 'default' it was fixed.
Are you sure you have enough signal? Without the GSM-fix I provided in post #9 it might think it doesn't have enough signal and it disables 3G.

I think your current ROM is not a stock ROM.
May be custom rom using. (Battery indicator is custom rom indicaor on indicator bar)
If you were used at stock rom, Internet/MMS were possible?
I think the custom ROMS not support GSM DATA connection.
For example, previous global model droid 2 global's a few custom roms are
currently not support GSM data connection.
May be , It's same with Droid 3.
I recommend that you revert to stock ROM and set APN and re-check it.
Did you have to enter anything in the username/password field on your APN?
If so, you could take a look at the /system/etc/ppp/peers/ppp-ril.options and change the 'NotUsed' with your username and password. This fixed it for me with my provider.
Hi all, I have CM11 of Maclaw on mi S3 Mini and I try to install every update he launches but since a few days ago I have no data connection.
Here are some things I noticed:
The H or 3G icon appears above the mobile network signal
The mobile network signal appears in orange color
The APN is configured correctly
If I enable Wifi, the mobile network signal changes to white but even it is in white the Wifi connection works sometimes and somes don't
I have also do a clean install, do a full wipe, in TWRP I have selected advance wipe and check all the list, I have also flashed stock rom and them back to custom rom.
Have to say that I can received calls and send and received SMS. Any clue of what is happening?

I have read the post and it says that the problem they have is that they don't have signal at all because the baseband has changed and also that this doesn't work for N or L versions and my phone is i8190L.
I looked up for my baseband and it is I8190LUBANA2.
I don't know if I can broke my phone if I flash the pit file you suggested, any ideas?
Flashing a pit file from other phone model can broke your phone or you will see a message like this "CUSTOM PIT BINARY" after flash. So don't do it did you try this : disable mobile data, turn off wifi and reboot? I don't know if it helps but try it

Did you remove sim card or used an other sim card?
I changed the sim card and it worked, and in order to sound stupid what happened was that my 3Gb data plan was fully consumed.

No longer needed to be done remotely. NV unlock works fine
I did the NV method but some times I need to reset all the setting and set up my phone again to get service again

Hi, can you please explain the process your phone went through when booted back up with new SIM the first time? I have a Sprint HTC 10 trying to activate on ATT. I got an unlock code and it still said SIMlock Enabled. So I was instructed to go get a new SIM card and had it activated while in the device powered off. Problem is the same when powered back on. Also, if I select GSM mode, it says GSM mode not supported in US, only foreign SIM. Does this mean I was given an unlock code that wasn't a US unlock code? I'd really appreciate any help, this is going on two weeks now trying to get this to work.

I flashed custom ROM Viper 10_3.5.0 and 2G/3G data is working right now , but you should filled a wrong APN string (any words at all )

I finally got it working but thanks for the reply. Do you get LTE data speeds with the ROM you're using or just 3G/4G ?

as yet NO 4G LTE in our country (I'm from Ukraine )
I use only 2G/3G data
I can confirm this does work to unlock sprint HTC 10. First few runs failed, then I purchased Sunshine and ran it. But I think what really did the trick was going into the file you save and changing first two numbers from 01 to 00, save, then write to device with NV. Worked like a charm! And that's with LTE on ATT.

This is the first time with this firmware. I have already tried to wipe cache but don't working.
I restore the smartphone after a bootloop...but with this firmware data mobile don't working
Are you sure you are not roaming? This can also be the case if you mobile provider is a MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator), which means he is using the infrastructure of another provider.
Data roaming is by default off. You can enable in in settings- mobile network - data roaming.
For my device and carrier (BOB in Austria), the behaviour changed. It was not roaming under B200 (Android 5 for dual sim), but now with B564 (Android 6) it is.
Hello, I have the same problems with my phone, after installing a modified ROM with the B890 version, I lost the connection of mobile data, then I made a dowgrade wing version B052, but I can not connect the mobile data, I am currently version B584, And I can only make and receive calls, but I can not connect the mobile data, I can only browse via WiFi.
I tried several SIM cards from different companies, and all without success.
Please help.

If flashing stock rom didn't work then i believe there are 2 cases here: a) You are using data roaming and it may not be compatible with your carrier (already mentioned but i am just pointing it out) or b) you have a defective device or some sort of hardware just failed. I would suggest getting in touch with Huawei support, if your warranty is still active. Other than that, i don't think anybody can help as it is not a software problem from the looks of it. Hope this helps

Well, after insisting with my service provider, they told me that you would do a reset of my network settings, and in 24 hours the problem would be solved, after a few hours I got a message asking me to restart my phone, and I did, This was around 23hrs, I went to sleep thinking that that would not solve my problem, well the next morning I had to go out to do some paperwork, when I go on the street my phone and the surprise was when I started receiving Messages via WhatsApp and I looked at the screen and my phone was connected to the 4G network, but before a friend had told me that possibly my phone could have an IMEI lock, which I tell the person who answered me to help me solve my problem.
Now happily my phone works without problems.

dial *#*#4636#*#*, then choose gsm(wcdma i think, or something like that). or it could be that there is no 2g/3g in your area, so thats why it would pick lte. i dont even know if verizon actually has 2g/3g as its not really a gsm provider, its a cdma provider.
When was the last time you fastboot flashed the factory images for the version of Android you are using? Who carrier are you with? When did this problem start for you?

Verizon does not have the option to select 2G/3G. You can select global or LTE/CDMA. That is what is displayed on my N6 with a Verizon SIM card in it.

Flash modem and if you have a backup of your efs restore that... this worked for me to restore service.

I had this same problem, 2g or 3g would never stick, I installed gravity box through Xposed and if you go to smart radio section and set it to CDMA, it will give you 1x (2g ?) and if you set it to WCDMA it will give you 3g

Is CQAtest is running on your phone everytime you boot your phone

Try this it helps me resolve my issue wich is same as yours go to settings and disable CQAtest in app manager and clear data then switch off you phone go to bootloader mode then select restart bootloader then start.
CQATest can't be disabled
