CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
Why another build of CyanogenMod 12.1?
Completely new repos made from scratch.
Lollipop kernel from V500-30A sources.
Lollipop blobs from palman 5.1 and V500-30B.
To be used with kitkat bootloader (check post 3).
Camera works for all models (ov5693 included).
Autobrightness values corrected, improved gamma and backlight, ...
Power profiles enabled, BFQ I/O scheduler set as default, F2FS support (cache & data), ...
Control vibration intensity, 'knock on' works anywhere on the screen (not just the center), ...
And many other small improvements.
Install instructions:
Reboot into recovery (official TWRP recommended).
Wipe Data, System and Cache if it's a fresh install.
Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache if you're updating from a previous build of CM 12.1.
Flash ROM and Gapps.
Reboot.

Known bugs
IR Blaster doesn't work.
* If you want to report any other bug, please explain how to reproduce it and attach a logcat and dmesg (you can use this app). Please, do not report bugs if you use a kernel from a different thread.

Bootloader
This rom is meant to be used with kitkat bootloader. If you are unsure of what bootloader you are using, you should flash the following zip within recovery (official TWRP recommended):
V50020D Bootloader: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23991606952613675
* Some stock based roms in this forum flash bootloader files without the user being aware of it. So just to be safe, I recommend everybody to flash the above zip to make sure that you are using all the correct bootloader files.

Thanks for creating this! Finally there is a CM12.1 solution for v500 devices that use the other camera module. I am able to dirty flash this ROM on top of the latest official nightly cm12.1 build without any problems.

Thanks for this one, sounds awesome, flash time

Hey. Thanks for your amazing work. Would it be possible extract this kernel for work in aosp roms?

Of course, you can extract it or even better, build from source. But it's possible that you need some extra changes in the device repo.

Thanks for your reply. I'm not an expert to extract kernel. Can you extract this please? If you can. Tanks a lot.

If you think that will fix camera for all available roms, that's not how it works. Kernel aside, you need new blobs (vendor files) and changes in the device repo (sepolicy rules, ramdisk, ...) to fix camera. I publish all my repos so everybody can see them, and other devs can either use them to build their roms or try to "extract" the changes for camera to fix it in their builds. But I cannot do much more than I already did publishing my sources and this rom...

New build released
With the following changes:
- Set lcd brightness to default value during first boot.
- Kernel updated to latest caf tag for our soc.
- Fix vidc firmware error.
I will keep publishing new builds of this rom whenever there are significant changes in CyanogenMod's or my repos.

really awesome build, i can even push apps to sd, for some reason this never worked for me on default cm
it even feels smoother

Thanks for your work. I"ll notify arcee to take a look on your sources maybe they can be used officially.

Thanks, I will need to make some changes to the repos to make them to his liking.

New build released, changelog can be found HERE.

Auto-rotation isn't working (Clean installation of the 10.6. build). And yes, I did a reboot.

works fine for me, but I'm pretty sure i've read something similar yesterday on the official cm12.1 thread,
the "solution" seemed to flash the rom another time.

Thank you for this ROM! Smooth and stable! Still getting the external sdcard bad removals when device sleeps, but thats the only issue i have found. Thanks!

This is just a perfect build!
No issues. Even my BT/Wi-Fi disconnect issues are addressed.
Thanks a lot!!!!

no rotate for me also, and no help for installing two times

I had the same problem - multiple rebooting and re-flashing the rom didn't help. I finally fixed it by flashing the latest official nightly CM12.1 rom (which immediately fixed the rotation problem), and then flash back this rom.
BTW I came straight from stock 4.4.2. Never flashed anything before. Not sure if this had to do with the rotation problem.

New build released
...with working HDMI and improved gamma. I think I also solved the issue some users are having with auto-rotation, but since I cannot reproduce the bug I cannot confirm whether it's fixed or not.

Still in early stages, but I'm already running it since a few days without any major issues. Just for your information, I have flashed Open GApps package.
Will try tonight Currently I'm running CM12.1
Do you know if there will be official nightlies build soon?
Verizon M8 also compatible as long as we have LP firmware?
Sent from my m8wl using Tapatalk
Flashed and running.
Only problem is when changing DPI. Somethin is not aligned correctly. Switch buttons in settings for icons in message popup. But nothing dramatic till now.
Q: If there will be new builds, ho to see them?

I will let you know once official nightlies start. There are some MSIM particular changes that need to be merged first.

Sorry, but this rom is for the international variant, with dual sim. Extra .lib files and slightly different tree structure for the extra sim.
Today I have some problems with receiving/rejecting calls. Phone was ringing, but I could't reject or accept call
Also I had problem with connection with DATA after disconnecting from WiFi. Restart helps in this case.
Anyway thanks for that ROM.
If I should test something, let me know and I will do my best.
Nightlies will start from this moment on!

Perfect, I can't wait.
REPORT:
- Sometimes I had problem that I can't cancel phone call. But I'm cancel only couple calls... Have to try if it is more often.
- Dot view case sometimes stop locking screen. Only solution is reboot phone. Then is work for couple days OK.
I wa looking for nightlies here:
http://www.cmxlog.com/13/
But I found it only here:
https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=m8d
The first link is for unofficial CM changelog. The second is the official CM download page, in particular for m8d.
By the way, I don't recommend the first nightly because it seems that some entries in Settings are broken (affecting all devices). A fix was already applied and the next nightly will be okay.

Good advice. The first nightly does flash and boot, but many settings force close on opening. I have returned to 12.1 for now
I made dirty flash yesterday and didn't try settings. But I can confimr build 05.12.2015 have settings FC. Will inform about next build today evening.
Clean flash, pico Gapps, and so far all is working as it should. Thanks for the great work!
Dirty flash (as advised in cyanogenmod blog) along with 6.0 open gapps, and all working nicely with the 6 Dec build.
A few apps need storage settings changing to deal with the new way android uses sd cards, but that's not hard.
One or two oddities - like what happened to separate ring tones for each SIM? I suppose that some multi SIM features are yet to come?
Sent from my HTC One_M8 dual sim using XDA Free mobile app
Not only MSIM features, but many other features that were previously on cm-12.1. There is still a lot of things to bringup.

Awesome! Thank you so much!!!!
Clean install , micro open gapps, NO Super Su installation and so far i don't need it since I use the Root access in the developer options. Advanced Reboot options working fine. No problems so far. Top grade release with the option to update from CM directly
Thanks nvertigo67, deadman96385
Wow!
Just installed latest nightly with F2FS in /data and /cache. Super fast booting, performance its awesome. Wifi working great so far. Audio sounds loud and clear. OTG working good. Thanks to all developers for doing this, it's really really a good rom.
Is TWRP still OK to use as recovery?
Still testing... Camera doesn't work at all. Bluetooth ok. Battery life ok, gaming performance ok (Test with geometry wars 3 and Pacman CE DX). IR blaster working great.
Amazing. How did this happen? Did someone from the CyanogenMod project reach out to you or vice versa? I'm just interested in how that happened. Congratulations, @nvertigo67 and thank you. Smoke 'em if you got 'em

Not exactly, but other glitches with youtube, firefox with yoitube and some others, due to LL OMX blobs and they seem to have some problems. We will use the KK ones for now. Hopefully that will fix your problem, too.

I never said OMX issue is not present in 1210. It's even on last testbuild - second last testbuild has the right files.
Both will be fixed in next nightly build.

Thanks mate!! Just a question.
Not working in call speaker mic what means exactly? People can hear us when we speak?
Enviado desde mi Oneplus X
Nice to read this, but one question bevor I gonna try this. Is location fully working at this early state , mean even the energy saving mode?
On the Two is only GPS working at the moment and this is really annoying because some Apps are rebooting the device while trying to get the location.

Failed to flash with either latest blu_spark TWRP or MA's TWRP. "This package is for onyx, E1003; This device is ONE". I'm currently trying to fix it by editing update_script.
Can you provide a working recovery, tried 3 different version, but cannot install with this! THX!
Can you make this compatible with the blue spark twrp, thanks
Oh I was using h2o64's twrp build,u may want to use that as well until next build

change your twrp to h2os64‘s build. Just as what you quoted....
Bug : External sd card is not recognised, so no sd card support.
cm 13 :victory::victory: . once camera is fixed, i will try. Thanks ashwin & masterawesome.
Another bug : I can hear myself while talking to someone else on call.
I will try this ROM once it gets stable
Error executing updater binary in zip. Tried with latest h2o64's twrp, bluespark twrp, cm recovery doesn't install. Just saying.

Remove the first big line from updater script. Usual workaround.

It's not a device check or anything, removing the: "ui_print("..............................");" wont change anything.

INSTRUCTIONS
First time installing CyanogenMod 14.1 to your Redmi Note 3 or coming from another ROM other than AOSP or CM based ROM:
Make sure you have unlocked your bootloader
Flash a custom recovery via Fastboot (any other installing methods will do, just make sure you have TWRP recovery installed)
Push GApps (arm64) and the CM 14.1 zip to your device
Boot into Recovery
Perform factory reset
Flash the CM 14.1 zip from SD card
Flash GApps for Nougat from SD card
Flash a custom kernel (I recommend Radon kernel if you have a Goodix device or camera sensors on your device are not working)
Reboot (be patient, "optimizing apps" takes a while)
Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!

First build is currently being built.

FAQ
ROOT! ROOT! Give me root or i'll die!!! Where root is???
First of all do not flash any supersu/superuser/superman zip package to get root. Go to Settings>Developement Settings>Root acces > Apps Only
Are these gapps <insert random gapps package here> working with CM14.1?
Use the suggested package
When do I have to wipe data?
You must wipe data only when you're switching from another rom or migrating to Snapshot branch from Nightly and vice versa. You don't need to wipe data when you update in the same release channel.
Why no <insert miui feature here>?
Because this is CyanogenMod

You guys should try Resurrection Remix 5.7.4 . I have it installed on my RN3 along with front/back camera + Fingerprint working ( :
Flash in this order:
1. CM 13 Firmware.zip
2. Resurrection Remix 5.7.4 ROM
3. OpenGapps
4. Goodix_FP_8.zip
5. AGNi_pureCM-MM_v2.7_kenzo.zip (im currently using AGNi kernel version 2.7 and it works. Pretty sure it will also work on later updates.)
Wipe cache then reboot system

already did but no luck with my front camera
also all CM13 roms (except santhosh) lack mic cancellation features, too much echo in many roms. At this point I'll only consider CM14.1 roms and i'll test how mic cancellation works @ them

Yes, goodix is supported but you would need to flash a custom kernel and the Goodix_N patch. I would implement the changes in CM's kernel source later on.
@lokjianming
Thank you for using Jenkins
I follow with interest your work!

still waiting
What are the bugs remaining now? Am following Jenkins page everyday to see a new build but I can't flash it without knowing what's working and what's not.... But am very curious to know about it! If anyone has tried Jenkins builds, pls do reply!

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
This thread is for Unofficial LineageOS 14.1 builds for lt02ltespr (SM-T217S). The following will not be supported here:
Custom kernels
Mods
Xposed
I don't support Xposed and any logcat which includes a Xposed module will be ignored. You're kindly invited to not report bugs if you:
Flashed a custom kernel
Installed or did mods from untrusted sources
Modified system files
First time flashing LineageOS 14.1 on your device, or coming from another ROM?

Changelog:
4/13/17
Fixed the camera Thanks @DarkFrenzy
Removed unused drm blobs
Updated the time_daemon from shamu
4/10/17
Fixed glitchy power off animation Thanks @DarkFrenzy
Removed button backlight settings (They are unsupported)
Lowered the first boot time by enabling dexpreopt (The zip is a bit bigger but the old boot time was just unacceptable in my eyes)
Enabled some core system files to stay in ram so things should be a bit smoother.
Fixed adb not working unless you had selected mtp as the usb type
4/8/17
Initial release
I have redone the device trees from scratch based off of the galaxy s4 mini trees. @DarkFrenzy did the same thing awhile ago but he did not keep the history so it was useless to me. I also wanted to redo it because it lets me understand it better. My end goal is for it to become official but for that i have to fix the camera. But i have already upstreamed the kernel commits into the LineageOS msm8930-common kernel.
Thanks for still supporting our T217S. I'll give it shot and report.

Thanks for the Support for this device.
The camera is working fine in my RR build which I built with latest changes from Serrano tree which has some libc fix for camera.
For screen bug you have to set animate to true in device Samsung qcom repo like this https://github.com/FaArIsH/android_...mmit/51f24a5eed4203356c6669614f4dcbe979d74cc4
Yes its better to start from scratch then using my trees I m very lazy to use github that's y I don't use it the best way.
And also its best to give credits to @arco68 instead of me.

Removed unused drm blobs
Updated the time_daemon from shamu
I spoke too soon, when I wake it up from sleep the backlight is off.
New update in OP
This unoffical thread will now be for test builds that i deem stable so the community can test them before i merge the changes into the "stable" lineage builds.
Changelog:
Removed more unused drm blobs
Fixed backlight issues (Reverted back to the original liblights)
Update prima wlan firmware (This should fix 5ghz wifi let me know though i do not have one)
I am having a problem that everytime I try to install is comes up with error 7 and doesnt do anything in twrp.
Update:
Looks like I needed older version of twrp. It flashed waiting on bootup
Another problem, when doing the setup at first boot up I select new device and it crashes the wizard. I cant get past the wizard at all.
