[Q] Hard bricked S6 Help plz! - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6

I rooted the S6 using cf auto root. I'm not quite a noob but please forgive my ignorance. I installed twrp and had been using the XtreStoLite rom for about a week. I was selling the phone so I wanted to reflash the rom so he could run through the setup him self. There were no problems flashing the rom. It was up and running. I was installing apps and the phone froze. I held down the power until it restarted. Now it is in an endless loop. The Galaxy S6 powered by android splash screen appears but it reloops before the Samsung splash screen appears. I can get the phone into download mode and I've tried to reflash the stock firmware, bootloader, stock recovery, everything. Odin recognizes the phone and it looks like it is working but as soon as it gets to NAND write it fails. I've been told it appears like the recovery partition was erased. I've used andnew versions of odin. My friend who knows a bit more than me tried backing up my working S6's efs and copying it to the bricked phone. He even did some stuff with my pit file. I'm at a total loss. I would send it back to Samsung but the phone is blacklisted by T-mobile and I don't want them to repo it. Any help is greatly appreciated and I would happily make a donation to anyone who can help me.

I guess I'll be the bearer of bad news here... You're screwed... Most likely. There is, however, a 0.0001% chance you can find someone who can make a copy or port of their recovery partition and TRY to put it on your device. This seems like a long shot, but it may be your only bet.
Don't count on this, as I have never personally seen it done before.

Try flashing unikernel v8 again inside twrp I bet it boots.
Side note never ever Advance wipe INTERNAL MEMORY
You'll wipe your internal memory backups the whole Firmware and even your boot.

I didn't read it all that you attempted Odin...
KEEP IN MIND
You have to odin the same firmware build you had on it stock So if it was OJC build YOU have to use Ojc You cannot go from a newer 5.1.1 build to one earlier anymore So try the latest build OJC
It won't fail I bet .

Duh. ???
Pp.

I have the same problem and when i turn to the download mode is written another model. I have tried several steps in odin came back failed. Anyone can help please support me.....

What's on the boot screen? If it says FRP Locked or something similar, you need to go into download mode (if possible), connect to ODIN and flash the stock ROM from Sammobile.com. It will flash the stock kernel, ROM, etc. DO NOT reboot your phone. Go to your settings, unlock developer options, and toggle OEM Unlock OFF. Then you can reboot your phone and attempt rooting again.

literally same **** happened to me homie
just did this ****

das youtube btw

Tmobile bricks the phone once someone black lists it and if you flash stock firmware...... always have custom rom installed and disable all network bands on dialer *#2263#

Rooted Note 1 in bootloop after update

Hi everyone. I have a rooted Galaxy Note 1. I accidentally tried to update something (the phone said there was an Android update or something) and now my phone in stuck in a bootloop showing the Android logo. When I try to reset it (volume+home+power buttons) it goes to an Odin "Downloading..." screen and gets stuck on that.
I've seen some stuff about unbricking the phone using Odin to return to the original stock rom. But from what I can tell, there are different stock roms available depending on your Country Sales Code (CSC). So apparently I need to look in Kies for my CSC to know which rom to download, but Kies doesn't recognise the phone, I guess because it's bricked. I know the phone is from the UK, but I don't know what network it came from (I bought it second hand). All I know is that it is unlocked now.
I have CWM.zip, CWM-SuperSU-v0.87.zip, and franco.Kernel-r5.zip on the micro SD card from when I was rooting it ages ago. Do these have anything to do with fixing it?
Any ideas on where I go from here? Thanks for your help.
Which volume button did you press ? You need volume up + home + power to get into recovery.
You can flash any rom from any region using odin.
Same problem
Hey,
Thanks for helping me in advance...
I used the Custom ROM (( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1970626 )) Ultimate N7000 for a long time. However this build became more and more unstable the longer I used my phone.
So I decided to go back to STOCK.
So I followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
And everything went well (Odin didnt give any errors)
However after reboot... the problem began... I cant turn my phone on anymore.... It seems to be stuck in a bootloop....
How can I fix this?? please help me
Which rom did you flash? If you flashed JB, boot into recovery and wipe data. Then reboot.

bricked....

Hi so I was trying to use CF to root my phone and ended up screwing it somehow and bricked. I thought I'd followed the instructions well enough but I obviously did something wrong. Now my phone is stuck saying it needs to recover with Kies. This is my first Samsung phone but I'm not new to Android.
I tried installing the stock firmware through ODIN but everytime I flash it gets to installing the system ext4 and fails. I also wasn't able to recover using Kies(not even sure how you use it tbh).
If anyone could help me it would be mucho appreciated. I'm pretty pissed at myself right now.

Your phone is NOT bricked. If it was the screen would not even go on.
Have you tried going into recovery mode (VolumeUP/VolDown/PowerButton)
and once in Recovery Mode do a factory reset or Data Reset forgot what the
exact wording is in the stock recovery.
If you flashed twrp recovery it's ok too, just select "factory reset".
After doing that the phone should no longer display anything about Kies.
If you get to the twrp recovery screen you should be able to flash a stock
rooted rom without any issues.
If all you get is the stock recovery screen then you should be able to odin
flash the official Samsung Note 4 kitkat 4.4.4 NJ7 firmware which you may
need to download the firmware from http://SamMobile.com if you don't
already have it. (be sure you have the correct firmware for the Note 4 N910T).
Be 100% sure that the phone is FULLY POWERED DOWN before going
into Download Mode to avoid odin errors and issues.
Good luck!
Thanks man. I had tried Odin at my office and nothing doing.
Got home took my time and was real calm about things and voila. May have been an md5 issue with the firmware file. Just relieved I didn't have to RMA it.

Can you check for the file with md5 before you flash from your phone? I forgot where to dig for this info.
All I I have done before is on my cook rom file, I just open it with WinRAR and test for error. If no error, then its good.
On my Home PC I have a program that will put a check mark next to a file if it matches the md5. I also have Winrar at home.
I was just using the default Windows zip program and I have had problems with that and installers/roms in the past.
The only other things I did different were I removed the SD card and installed the drivers before plugging my phone in instead of letting Windows download them automatically.
I also removed the battery after I left work so it was out of the phone for a couple of hours.
The final thing I did was calm down lol after the initial shock of seeing a softbricked screen on my brand new phone.
I'm all rooted now with TWRP and running Hyperdrive so it's all smooth sailing from this point forward.
You should check md5 on phone once you done transferred to phone from PC

[Q] How do I save my (bricked?) phone? (after system wipe :( )

Here goes: in a stupidity attack, before installing a stock rom, I wiped everything but the external cared (YEAH, the SYSTEM too). I then flashed the rom, and it never installed (my phone got stuck on showing the "samsung galaxy s advance" for over half an hour).
(might be relevant: the phone was rooted, and had CoCore + TWRP installed)
What should I do? How do I get my phone back? Can it be saved? :crying:

Is the device still can enter the download mode? If yes. Downgrade to GB. Find a guide in the general section on it. Good Lucks.
thanks, I managed to recover it through TWRP

Referring to that matter, the same thing has happened to me but even the stock GB is stuck on the Samsung logo. Also, it looks like a bootloop, it keeps restarting.
Any help is appreciated.

I closed my phone (took the battery out) and then pressed power-soundUp-button for recovery, and reached the recovery. I restored from a backup I had on my external card. If you don't have a backup, you can put stock rom on your external card (directly from your PC with a card reader dongle) and flash it.
The other option is to install a stock rom by downloading it to your phone through the computer with Odin. That means that you download Odin and stock rom. To do this you still need to take the battery out (to close the phone), put it back in, and then press power-soundDown-button to download (the difference here is sound-DOWN). Then work according to the tutorials about using Odin (don't forget to open the file as admin!).
Good luck!

Are you trying to do a factory reset/wipe data via stock recovery?
I think I have done this, yes. Do you think this was the reason for the bootloop?
However, I've now succsefully flashed Slimkat, it looks promising.
I hope I won't have to turn back to GB or JB in the future.

[Q] recovery not booting, phone only starts in recovery loop from hell

My Note 4 has been properly rooted and working fine until recently.
Today I decided to boot into recovery and clear some crap out.
It says RECOVERY but no menu, then the Droid dude flashes on and off a black screen.
The phone will NOT boot normally, only into this crazy recovery loop.
I can get into download mode.
My rom was stock, just rooted.
Please help me fix this.
Can I download a stock rom to my sd card, get into download and install from sd...In hopes of regaining phone access??
I can't wipe anything as I can't access recovery, so I'm hesitant about going custom right now. I really just want my phone working again, so I don't have to pay insurance deductibles for a replacement.
Please advise.

Have you tried using ODIN to flash the stock firmware
Sadly, my computer died last month, so unless I can borrow someone's, Odin is not an option currently...which is why I was hoping for a device only method.
Any thoughts??
Have you tried your local carrier to see if they can flash the stock firmware for you. They may replace the phone for free. Otherwise borrowing a computer would be my next step
So I've called Tmo, who had me call Samsung...because I've apparently done everything, and I could not regain access via ODIN...so Samsung has me going to Best Buy to see if the Samsung approved folks can get a software recovery working...
I'll let you know how it goes...
In the meantime, if anyone else has any suggestions besides ODIN...
Thanks in advance!
To anyone in a similar situation...
I am sorry, but I have no good news.
The final solution is to swap the device through my carrier.
ODIN did not work.
I could not get it to read the sd card/rom from the download mode, and the recovery menu never produced.
Tmo could not help.
Samsung could not help.

Need Help with Galaxy Note 4

Anyone please help. I am fairly new too the whole Android scheme of things and everywhere I look I see gibberish all talk about Roms and flashes and I don't know what to do. I have a Galaxy Note 4 in a rebbot loop, I tried to root with this thing called kingo root. And I rebooted my phone and it doesn't turn on it goes to the T-Mobile screen then powers off and repeats the process. I need to know how to factory reset the phone. I already tried to wipe the phone in recovery and same problem. I don't want a root or custom OS I just want to get the phone working. And as dumb down as possible. I'm so used to the one click jailbreak on iPhone and not the complexity of rooting and it screwed me over. I just want to know how to reset the phone and get it working.
Thanks
Lollipop 5.1.1 was what it was running and I have an SD Card if I need to reset from external since ik that's an option.

Look on here how to Odin 5.1.1. Thatll give you a fresh start. I suggest staying away from kingoroot or king root. Use cf-autoroot.

This could help you also - you could try to re-root and flash the kernel in this video that should get you going.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDCTQtCaUig
Look for a program called odin 3.10 and dl it to deaktop. Then dl 5.1.1 firmware . Also dl twrp 2.8 or higher . Once you have everything put phone into dl mode by holding power ,home and volume down. Once in dl open up odin and connect your phone to computer. Click pda and look for the twrp and flash it. Once done put phone into recovery by pressing power, home and up volume. Once in recovery wipe to factory reset. Now put phone back into dl mode and do the same with the firmware you dl. Make sure you extract the 5.1.1 file and it's a tar so you can flash it. Once it's ready flash the tar and you should be back to stock with no problem.
