[Q] Your sim card does not allow a connection to the network - Moto X Q&A

I have a moto X 1st gen here in India. Its unlocked, not rooted. One fine day it thrower me an error "your sim card does not allow a connection to a network". And I am without network in my mobile.
My IMEI is same as in the battery
Device is not rooted
Sim card works fine in other mobiles
Tried different sim cards but still same problem
Didn't fiddled with any network settings.
After reading through XDA threads I did
Cleared data/cache
Restored the stock firmware again.
Did that network menu reset to switch radio on and off many times
Not able to get any network signal at all. Is there anything I am missing?

[Q] Your sim card does not allow connection to this network

so I have this droid for a few years. couple of days ago I'was experimenting with different kernels. after a reboot I got a message "Your sim card does not allow connection to this network". sim is fine and works in other phone, other sims in my phone get me the same message. flashing latest official rom didn't helped, changing gsm/hsdpa mode too. what else should i try? i've been using this phone for 2 years, so it isn't imei lock. sim lock maybe?

[Q] help with no cellular network

Hi,
I have an HTC One M7 with it's original Vodaphone ROM (UK, vodap102)
Everything was ok but about 2 days ago suddenly it lost it's cellular network.
from time to time it connects but looses it again the moment i try to enable mobile data.
I have tried to reboot, factory reset, tried different SIM cards (from same company) but nothing.
when i go to network operators sometimes it can't find anything but sometimes it finds all the networks around. when i try to connect to my network it tells me it "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network"
I had a firmware update as well (sense 6) but after the update was no change.
Is there anything else i can do?
P.S.
The phone is with unlocked bootloader, S-on and is being used in a different country, not in UK. as i said, it worked perfect for about a year in the same cellular network
Please asist, Thanks.
A little update...
If i choose 2G only, it works fine. but only in this mode.
any suggestions what might it be and how to solve it?

[Q] KitKat update causing sim problems?

I've got a Verizon XT1060 and am having an issue I can't work out. I brought it to Thailand last year whilst running rooted stock Jellybean, bought a SIM, popped it in and was immediately up with working voice and data. Since then, I unlocked the bootloader with Sunshine and flashed to a rooted stock VZW KitKat ROM. That was working great in the States. I brought it to Thailand this week, popped in the same SIM card and found that voice works but data does not.
Symptoms;
1. I get a "Sorry this SIM card is from an unknown source" when the phone boots up.
2. Service state under phone status says "Voice: In service / Data: Out of service"
3. 'Under phone status, 'Mobile network state' says 'disconnected' and 'my phone number' says 'unknown' and 'Mobile network type' says 'unknown' but the IMEI is there
4. No APNs were populated
What I've tried:
1. I've tried setting the preferred mobile network to both Global and LTE/GSM/UMTS
2. Enabled global data roaming access
3. Manually set the APN
4. Manually selected the network operator
5. Rebooted a bunch of times after changing the above settings.
Misc:
Baseband version: MSM8960PRO_BP_2323.038.123.00R
I'm rather confused with the situation. The phone is unlocked as the same SIM card worked perfectly last year. I'm planning on stopping by the local carrier's shop and asking them to check out the SIM but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything else that could be causing this problem. I can't imagine the KitKat update blocking access to foreign SIMs but you never know with Verizon.
Any ideas/hints would be greatly appreciated!

[Q] droid turbo network problem

I bought my Droid Turbo about two weeks ago to use it in Europe. I checked all freq and bands of my carrier and I also spoke with a guy who is using Droid Turbo in my country (Poland), all was ok. I got my phone and before inserting the sim card I updated to lollipop 5.1 OTA. After inserting my sim card the phone detected my sim and connected with network (LTE). I thought that everyting was ok untill I started using Droid Tubo in a daily basis. The phone is constantly switching networks. Its loosing lte signal switching to 3g for example, then to gsm. After a while its reconnecting but not always, sometimes I have to restart. I was trying almost everything: wiping from recovery, wiping via fastboot, switiching network connections by hidden menu commands, changing apn settings... I noticed that my problem seams to be similar to the problem which was solved by 21.44.8 update which: "Fixes an issue that could prevent proper switching from 3G to 4G LTE. Fixes issues that could trigger a dropped call, prevent a call from going through, show that no service is available or show that a SIM card is not inserted" - this is quote from motorola update release note. This quote very well describes my problem. After doing almost everything what I could I decided to ask for your help, because Im starting to think that this is a hardware issue. I am looking forward for your help and will be very gratefull for any suggestions.

Hello, I have almost the same problem. I recently bought DROID TURBO and i was using it w/o any problem for about a month. and Poland is also my country I did everything like you including update to lollipop before inserting SIM card. Everything with the phone was ok until i tried to change cellular bands in menu to see if it will affect battery life in some way.
Unfortunately my Droid Turbo is now refusing to connect to any network. To be exact: it is logging to my network ( i have checked it on the service hotline of my carrier ) but then after about 3-5 sec. signal bars are greyed and no connection to the network. I've tried three different cards from different carriers and with all a have the same result. Now i cannot use my Droid Turbo as a phone ....... i've tried factory reset, cache cleaning, disabling Verizon apps&services .... nothing... Could someone help me/us, do you have any suggestions ?

Hello again.
The only way i've solved this network problem on non-rooted Lillipop is to install new firmware using Verizon Software Upgrade Assistant for Droid Turbo. You have to run this software and use the rapair button then it downloads new firmware and installs it on your phone.
i have same problem.
just flash last firmware with fastboot

sign in to network weird issue

So i changed my sim card and since then im getting an error with the new activated sim card, everytime im turning the data plan notification comes "sign in to the network" and when i touch it, it just takes me to some unreachable page from pervious carrier.
things ive done:
network reset
APN setting
changing 4g to 3g etc
airplane mode on off
chaning networn setting
factory reset!!!
hard reset
google stock unrooted rom!
changing sim cards and still get the notification bar!
please assist me.
