Not sure, since mine was disabled before the update and remains disabled.

Did you factory reset?

Never mind. Figured it out. Doesn't let you disable from application manager. I disabled from the app drawer running the touch wiz laumcher. Should have tried that the first time but I was using Nova as a launcher.

handcent on the Xperia Z

Has anyone who has had handcent installed on their Z experienced that more often than not it keeps force closing? Is this more likely to be down to the app itself and not the device?
I have used handcent with all my other android phones and have never encountered this issue on such a regular basis.
Many thanks..
I use Handcent every day, and no FC at all, sorry

I don't have stamina mode on. More often than not it force closes when I go into handcent settings to make some adjustments and kicks me out.
Very frustrating, as I use no other messaging app but handcent.
I know it's a silly question but have you uninstalled & re-installed it? Any difference?
I use it without problem. Only app I have issues with is CoPilot - it does not like the screen resolution.
Go to application manager and clear cache. It may help

Excuse my ignorance, but where do I find application manager?
Maddoguk,
Yes, have uninstalled handcent twice but still the issue remains.

Is it application settings that I'm looking for as opposed to application manager, as I can't find that? If so, cache is greyed out so won't let me clear it

[Q]Auto-Rotate broken

As of yesterday, none of my apps rotate. I tried changing the settings in nova launcher+android settings, uninstalling nova launcher and changing settings, rebooting. I also went as far too download different apps that rotate the screen per your specifications. I can't seem to find a fix. Anyone else having this issue, or know of a way to fix this? I am running 4.4, slapmymoto. Thanks

Thats odd. When you play a game that uses the accelerometer (like a racing game), does it work or not? If it doesn't work then you have a defective phone (most likely). If it does work, then you might just want to reset your phone.

This happened to me. I think for my issue it was conflicting XPosed modules. I'm not sure though, but I just did a wipe/reload to fix it.

Anytime I would play a game that was supposed to be landscape, it would just render as portrait. Some would stretch out and have stuff off the screen, others would just render landscape within portrait, so it would be tiny.
So I had xblast and gravitybox installed at the same time... Uninstalled xblast and rebooted, back to normal! Thanks guys!

[Q] Can't disable Messaging in 4.4.4?

Pretty minor, but I usually use hangouts as my primary messaging app and disable thee factory messaging app. The 4.4.4 OTA enabled it again, and the option to disable it appears to be grayed out. Anyone have any idea why this could be?

Hmm. Can on a Maxx 4.4.4. Try installing a alternate messaging app first. I use Handsent.
Yep, I've got the same issue.
As you said, incredibly minor but still nagging to have it sitting there... "hanging out" in my app drawer (pun intended).

Try Titanium to freeze it.

Won't autorotate after debloat

Hi,
I cleaned my note and cleaned too much I guess bc it won't autorotate anymore.
Would love to find out how to fix it.
Cheers!

Sounds like you deleted Samsung Hub. Deleting that will cause auto rotate to not work. I can upload the apk for you when I get off work.

Thanks, that would be awesome!
Move this to /system/app, set permissions to rw-r-r (0644), reboot, and that should fix it. If not, it may be Odin time.
A thing on debloating. Don't delete the items, pay the few bucks for Titanium Backup Pro. You can freeze the app. The joy of that is when you want to OTA a new update, you can un-freeze all of the AT&T bloat, un root, and bingo, back to stock

There are probably more apks "missing"...if you can remember what you deleted I can upload them for you but it might just be easier to start over with a fresh flash. I'd definitely recommend freezing apps as opposed to deleting them as well but @Walter.White has a flashable debloater script if you don't want to pay for the Pro version. Just flash it in safestrap after you've reflash stock and you'll be good to go! It's pretty serious debloating though you'd probably have to install apps you do use from the play store afterwards...the list of apks/apps removed is in the OP

Give this a try

Put in /system/app set permissions to match the other apps and reboot.
Found this thread and followed the fix for auto rotation. Worked a charm. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2793441
