Google Photos - Anyone else having this issue? - Galaxy S6 Themes and Apps

Hi everyone
Whenever i open Google photos on WIFI, the photos thumbnails wont load. I can only see the dates when the pics were taken.
If I switch to mobile data, the thumbnails load immediatly and they probably stay in cache or smthg because i can see them again when im on wifi.
I am not sure why its not working on wifi and woudl appreciate your help.
I have tried reinstalling the app, clearing its cache and all that , with no avail.
Also my WIFI is working fine, no speed or lag issues in any other app..
Here is a snapshot of the "error" http://i62.tinypic.com/6efy3m.jpg
Sorry for my bad english

For me no problem.

Thanks strange, working fine both on wifi and data for me.. Im assuming you can access Google Photos from a web browser on your computer connected to wifi? Maybe try reinstalling Google Photos on your phone if you havent already.

Yes no issues access google photos from my laptop on the same wifi connection.

It's working fine here, in both wifi or mobile data! Maybe try to clear the cache on Google photos and possible will work.

[Q] Galaxy S3 mini - Cannot run youtube vía wifi -app & vía chrome- (3g ok)

hello I have a problem with my new galaxy s3 mini.
all came running properly but any moment I can not see youtube videos via wfi. I do not know if it fails because of an update.
In 3g functioning properly. This I have tried both in the app or directly through the browser (chrome) and is the same.
By wifi stays loading and played very very slow but when I disable wifi and 3g active and works perfectly.
I tried downgrading the app but it is the same. I've said the problem is not with the app also fails through chrome via wifi. All other applications work fine via wifi.
Please can u help me?.
At this time I deleted all my apps including Tapatalk to rule but still the problem persists, by WIFI does not work.

If wifi works with other apps, have you checked your router? Maybe it just needs a restart.
Hi, thanks in advance for your reply.
Today I rebooted my router and still failing.
Inside youtube app or vía chrome: Suggested Videos load fast and the comments as well, but the video you want to see still loading, plays two seconds and then loaded again. etc. ..
If we turn off the wifi and activate mobile data extremely fast loading video.
PS: All applications are working fine via wifi.
Please help.
At this time I have disassociated my google plus account my youtube account but it has nothing to do. Same thing. By wifi is too slow.

Whatsapp connection issues

Hi, I wonder if anybody can help me. Up until the day before yesterday I was using whatsapp fine over wifi (where I am at the moment there is no mobile signal) on my O2 UK Z1 and then whatsapp lost all connection. Everything else on the phone was working fine but no whatsapp. Every message I sent would go to the clock, no information when people were last online and the faq etc. in the settings would not load because of lack of connection.
I uninstalled the app and then installed it again and all was fine, after sending a few messages the same error occurred again. I have now found that if I clear data in the app settings it will connect again, once I have reconfigured the app and restored from backup. I can only assume that there is some sort of buffer which I am clearing as I lose a few messages when I clear data (all since last backup).
Barring doing a delete of all backups and messages does anyone have any other idea. I have looked and the backup files are about 1.7mb so not massive and I have a fair bit of storage available onboard (>7gb).
I was talking to someone with a HTC phone who had suffered similar symptoms but I have googled and searched and can't find a solution.
Any help much appreciated.
Mark
2 weeks off work and no issues, as soon as I have returned the issue has reared it's head so looks like it's something to do with the wifi here. Everything else works fine and fast so I guess I'll just have to live with it

Try to factory reset or reinstall mobile data settings

A factory reset for a cheap Whazz, huge work buddy...lol... at last it's an idea but I will try reinstall mobile settings before that or uninstall and reinstall Whatsup.
I work in a very remote location, I have wifi (which is distributed from a satellite feed) out here and for my mobile phone that is the only connection option. When I am away from work whatsapp always works, both over wifi and cellular data. At work I keep my phone in aeroplane mode with wifi turned on to try and preserve some battery (there is no point in my phone constantly looking for a non existent cellular signal).
This morning I deleted all messages in whatsapp, uninstalled the app and re-installed/configured. Usually I get a failure within 24 hours of doing this so we'll see whether this rectifies the issue.
I know I'm not the only person out here that has had the issue so it is either a coincidence or something with the way the wifi is configured here. I just assumed that the wifi would either work or not but, I am not an expert.

[Q] Google apps connection has timed out error

I'm having trouble with the play store and chrome and other google apps periodically getting connection time outs while on my mobile network. It is a strange problem because my other apps like games and HTC internet and anything that isn't a google app can connect to the internet and work just fine.
I have tried clearing the cache of the play store and affected apps like chrome, but it doesn't work. I also tried deleting the hosts.txt file in the root directory, but that didn't help either. The only thing I have found to work is to go into airplane mode and then come back out, but that is only a temporary fix until the error comes back again.
I have been searching around various forums for the past couple days and haven't been able to find anything helpful. I am currently on the viper 7.0.1 and haven't seen any mention of this problem in that thread.
Any helpful insight and advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Anyone?
I have the same issue and haven't found a solution yet. Happening on ARHD 82.0 with eX18, though it seems to be a problem on stock kernel as well. For me, i can't get google play store, snapchat, pushbullet...etc, things that rely on google play services, to work at all on mobile data and mobile data only. Wifi is fine, almost all other apps (twitter, facebook, chrome) work fine in any case. I have tried a full wipe with no improvement. Only thing that seems to fix it temporarily is to wipe dalvik cache.

Something is keeping apps from using mobile data...

I don't have any restrictions on apps using mobile data but for some reason, I have several apps like gmail and hangouts that won't sync unless on WiFi. Any way to figure out what is causing this? The YouTube app won't work on cell data, only on wifi... that's strange.
Thanks!
It's been happening for me too. I though it was just poor signal, but lately it's been worse.
I'll have 3 or 4 bars and can browse the internet just fine which is strange. I just tried clearing cache to see if that does anything.. I'll report back later
Sound Search is doing the same for me. Also, my phone keeps telling me I'm not signed in to Google when I'm on cell data.
Clearing the cache did not work, I tried deleting data from YouTube and other apps and that didn't work either. I really do not want to do a factory reset.
If you have Gasbuddy installed it might be that. Last week after taking an update for Gasbuddy anything that connected to my phone using it as a hotspot could not get internet access. Didn't make the connection at the time and factory reset my phone and hotspot started working correctly. Started reinstalling apps and when I got to Gasbuddy the hotspot quite again so I uninstalled Gasbuddy and everthing started working again.
That's strange. I don't have that app on my phone but I'll look to see what I recently installed and go from there. Good thinking there though.
Ended up doing a factory reset which worked.

Some apps are unable to use while connecting to wifi but work properly using data.

Hi,
Idk if the note 9 forum still alive or not but i decided to give it a try.
As the title said, while using some apps or try to login some website, the wifi seems not to work but with the same wifi, I can watch YouTube smoothly as other device work smooth too.
The problem is gone if I using the VPN or data. I have done anything I can get from the internet, such as:
Reset network
Using static ip
Using dns
Disable ipv6
Reset whole phone
Wipe cache partition
And etc....
So, i wonder if anyone have the same problem and manged to solve it.

My only suggestion would be to mess with some of Samsung's WiFi connection options. Go to Settings>Wifi>tap three dots>Advanced. Perhaps there's an option in there that might solve your problem.
Recently I had a bad issue with my Camera which would open in a split like view & be stuck & not work
Tried a few things & even clear the cache of the phone & camera but did not work
formated my phone & now gives me better battery life & works more smoothly
