[XPOSED] Mobile Radio Active Fix - Galaxy Note 4 General

Hey Guys, i have a Note N910C updated to lollipop, and as usual google has fuc*ed up again, the Cell Standby takes alot of battery because it doesnt end the connection. @pyler made a fix as an exposed module, i have tested it on my Note 4 and the Battery Life is Great after using it!!
Description:
When mobile data (2G or 3G) is switched on, all the internet apps continue to consume battery and keep the mobile data active unless they are force stopped. On kitkat, this didn't happen because apps stopped using mobile data whenever their transaction was over. But here in lollipop, they don't seem to stop ever and cause a huge battery drain.

If you are on 5.1.1 Touchwiz and have ARM7 32 bit snapdragon 805 like SM-N910P, there is no xposed framework yet.
You would have to go to AOSP like CM12.1 which didn't work out for me.

wanam released xposed for 32bit samsung devices

any bug experience like people cannot hear my voice on call? i can hear them but they cant

Has 5.1.1 fixed it in n910c or not yet?

hey guys now I can't permanently keep the data to " wcdma only" by going in phone testing (*#*#4636#*#*) remember that?
perhaps it is because of the "mobile active radio fix"
Xposed module because it was working fine earlier but even though now I have tried disabling module and uninstalling module but I can't change it to wcdma only, it keeps fixed on gsm only.
even though in setting I have it set to 3g preferred but because of poor reception many time it goes to 2g and back to 3g it is very irritating.
btw I am able to use 3g, can anyhody tell me how to fix that with fixing of mobile radio active bug
or is it a problem with the cm12.1 itself, btw I'll post in both forums

Is this only Google app problem? Cause every time Google positioning goes to sky when mobile data is turned on.

The module causes reboot on s6 edge MM. Was working fine on lollipop
Sent from my SM-G925F

I also wanted to give it a try and installed it on MM (CM13). Sadly, I also only get a rebooting device.
Battery drain is Huge from Mobile radio and it is Active almost all the time. Maybe a total different bug?

Thanks m8, all my nexus devices are having wifi issue with anything above channel 11, really odd bug can cant get 5G working at all so no AC currently.
Such a strange little bug.
I'm having problems connecting to a Channel 11 WiFi that I don't have to its configuration. This happened since the L Developer Preview and is still there after the 5.0 release.
However, it worked perfectly fine on versions 4.4.4 and older!
A bug report is here.

Thanks, I was on the point of rolling back to 4.4.4 as I wasn't able to get wifi to work again, other than from Safe mode.
However it seems to be working now that I've shifted my channel from 13 to 8
I have the same problem here, finally i'm not the only one having this issue. Fixed after changing Wireless Channel number to 11 from 13 and i'm not sure if this is also related with Wifi drain bug.
Has no one tried:
settings put secure wifi_country_code UK
I'm not in the UK so I can't test but...
Has anyone tried the 5ghz channels? I'm testing on my Shield tablet and I can only see channels 36-44, whereas with Kitkat all the channels were accessible. I've started a thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/shi...less-detection-lollipop-t2945899#post56965354

You run the code in terminal or some other app that passes shell commands.

I'm also facing a problem with wifi on my Nexus 5 (D821) with Android 5.0.
I can't connect to my wifi repeater TP-LINK TL-WA850RE, the device says it's connected but shows that "!" sign.
I don't know if it has something to do with wifi channels, since the repeater works fine on another devices running Android 4.4.4 and Windows, PCs, etc.
Don't know if it's another wifi bug on Lollipop or what.

Nope, you are not the only one, I have the same problem. I actually did a clean install of Lollipop, it was terrible. Battery pretty much drained in about 8 hours with less than an hour of screen on time. I have reinstalled again (this time installed 4.4.4 and then doing an OTA). Lets see how that fares. Overnight, with minimal apps running I got from 97% to about 74% (7 hours) with wifi off, but in battery stats wifi is being shown as on.

Slow loading times on Android 6.0

Hey guys, I had posted a while back saying that for some reason, after flashing the new build of Marshmallow to my Nexus 6, the load times for web pages and just about everything else seems to be a bit slower than usual. I had said at the end of the post that it was fixed, but now the problem is arising again. Is anyone noticing long load times with all apps that use internet? Web pages load slower, the Facebook app takes much longer to load pictures and posts, Skype took longer to login and show everyone's profile pics etc. Never had this problem before on lollipop!
EDIT: Also, when I switch between my 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz WiFi bands, it shows a push notification that says that this WiFi signal has no internet access, and then it connects just fine after a few more seconds. This is odd. Maybe just a buggy first run of Marshmallow?

It's not loading really at all, but that's also due to my LTE coverage being awful in my area, that's always been bad haha so no change there. My other devices in the house are working just fine on my network, the Nexus 6 however seems to load slower, and it's only now that I'm on Android 6.0! Is it working fine for you?
EDIT: Just an update here, hours later, it may be my internet connection, possibly. But I'm not 100% sure on that either. If nobody else is having this issue, it may just be. Like I said though, it seems to be working fine with my other devices!
EDIT 2: http://imgur.com/gallery/TGiCU55 This is a speed test I did on my phone, I have 30Mbps internet and that shows!
I'm having same issue. Dirty flash. Kinda wondering if a clean factory reset is in order.
no issues here....came from a clean flash, which is standard protocol.
M seems fast so far, but I did change my animations Scale from 1.00 to .50! The only website to load very slow is XDA... go figure!

Yup. I did same. I might try the lollipop radio. Idk...
XDA is always sloooooow, even on a fast PC.
I've seen several other people mention slow net speeds on M as well but I've not noticed it yet. The WiFi code of M caused issues awhile back on some previous builds of HellsCore kernel too. I dont know the specifics of it though.

So there was a definite change in the radio for this build then. More than a subtle change. I wonder if it's just not perfect, I realize having a Nexus means getting the first run of all Android software, but I wonder if this is a bug in the build, or a radio that could use some work. But it does sometimes take longer to load things! I'm on very fast WiFi too!

I honestly don't know and would like to hear more specifics. I can tell you I've seen comments on this board the last couple fo days talking about massive WiFi battery drain as well.
I only know HellsCore adopted the newer M code for WiFi in his kernel and people were affected. He then had to create two builds of the kernel. One with newer WiFi code that didn't cause any issues for people and another build with the older WiFi code from L. Have you checked his G+ site?

No I haven't! I'll check that out! So that leads me to believe that it was a change in the new radio! He had to change it to code used in L radio so that may be it! Thanks for the info! I'll look into that some more!
Is it possible to flash the lollipop radio to test? I'd think you could. But I'm not 100%.

Hey dude, well honestly it didn't seem to fix it. Placebo effect lol What I think it comes down to is just Marshmallow being rough around the edges at this point because I have stock rooted Marshmallow 6.0 on my Nexus 6 and have cyanogenmod 12.1 installed as a secondary ROM, When booted into cyanogenmod, pages load much faster and it's more responsive as far as I can tell! So, it must be a bug with Marshmallow! Keep in mind cyanogenmod 12.1 uses Android 5.1.1 as a base!

Where are the full 6.0 system images for XT1095?

I need to convert my xt1095 from Brazil 6.0 to the regular xt1095 release. 6.0 has been around for a week or so, but I can't find the full firmware for it.
It does not exist yet. 6.0 for the xt1095 came out 3 days ago, you just need to have a little patience. The full images usually appear a week or 2 after the release.

WiFi displays one bar even when I'm a meter away from it. It sometimes goes 2 bars but not more than that.
The same happens with cellular network. Even though WiFi works perfectly with even a single bar, cellular line cuts off and even drops to no signal sometimes.
Inshort the reception is poor. Andditionally the phone has become a bit laggy. Bugs like absence of equalizer sybc with apps etc also exist

[Q&A] Marshmallow Problems

Hello All!
(I went through 10 pages before creating this thread. I hope the Administrator / Moderators don't mind that.)
All the users who have updated to Android 6 on Moto G(2014), can you please list out your observations here that you think were "problems". Just to weigh in on which is better, Lollipop or Marshmallow. There might be "problems" with certain type of use and sometimes that "problem" might not even come up.
Thanks again for your time and observations.

Hi. Since I did an OTA upgrade from Lollipop to Marshmallow on my XT1068, My GPS can`t find any locations on all the gps programs that I use. When I put the gps on "Device mode only". When I put it on " High accuracy mode" it will only update to the nearest wifi spot, and that is not accurate at all. I did a factory reset and a clear cache, all my location permisions are enabled.
Any suggestions to how I can fix this problem.
Thanks
On non-stock ROM Nexus Xperience (MM) everything that has been mentioned here seems to be working fine. But it's usual to have the touch screen not responding for several minutes and even have the System process crash or freeze constantly when there is high CPU usage and low RAM available (Seems it's killing the System process as if it would be any other app).

1. - google maps can't aquire device-only gps fix, if switched off before . High accuracy is needed to initialize, or another app which use location, like runtastic
2. - after using gps in high accuracy or device-only mode, switching back to battery-saving mode or completely switching off gps/location doesn't stop battery drain, even if entering airplane mode. Only rebooting the device after using gps will stop this effect

GPS issue's on OnePlus 3 fix needed

So I know allot of users experience GPS issues.
So I was a regular of freedom OS due to a louder voice on Google maps issue I decided to install the regular OOS beta.
Constantly having GPS issues, with allot of different roms.
So I flashed back to official 4.1.6 and what happens today on the freeway, jup GPS stopped again. Could this be a magisk issue?
So I tried topnttp and GPS test. Nothing worked. What did you do to get GPS properly to work again.
I constantly lose fix on latest OpenBeta. Getting tired of it, I dont even remember when it worked properly.
Works fine here, absolutely no problem at all.
The problems seems to be related to the beta ROMs. So it would be an easy fix to install another ROM ??*

I'm on a custom ROM with OB firmware and there are problems on GPS fix with waze (vertex). Could it be related to the firmware ?
I was able to fix my GPS issues by switching Location to High Accurate. Works great after this

Could be, I think it has something to do with 4g. For some reason.

I don't think it is fixed, I think the issues will return. Then you switch and reset te connection and it will work for a while.
After installing the app GPS Status and clearing A-GPS data it worked for me. Before i had a few problems. (I'm on the latest beta/Experience OS ROM)
GPS is working as long you are connected to 4G or 3G. If you drive in a zone where the phone has to switch from 4G to 3G or where is no signal, GPS stops working.
Like other users who say, they have no problems: I also have no problems. I can drive in my city for hours without problems. But if I drive outside of city zone, problems start.
For those having GPS problems.
I have written this guide that might help you guys.
