Looking for I9305T Firmware. - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help &

A friend of mine accidentally soft bricked his S3 I9305T (Telstra Version) trying to root it. Does anybody know where I can find the firmware for this exact phone? Or can normal I9305 Firmware be flashed?
Thanks

If someone could confirm that standard I9305 FW can be flashed that would make this a lot easier.

Do you not know anywhere else maybe? The connection there is extremely slow (top of about 50kb/s) and sometimes fails. I will try again.

Yeah it is slow, you can pay for membership which speeds it up, but I usually leave it overnight to download. You can try samsung-updates.com as well but I think it is much the same.

Yes regular i9305 firmware can be flashed although being Telstra it won't have very good reception as the frequencies are different with Telstra. Flashing a Telstra modem after will help.. Also factory reset is usually a must if flashing stock software

Yeah I ended up getting the FW after about 4 failed downloads. Flashed the correct I9305T firmware (although not the Telstra exact variant, i'd assume it doesn't matter)

hey all, just wondering if the GT-I9305 and the GT-I9305T are the same or not, and whether the GT-I9305 stock firmware is transferable over to the GT-I9305T.
Do you mean the Telstra GSIII LTE?
Do you mean the Telstra GSIII LTE?
If yes, then try asking Telstra, though probably they won't give an answer.
I believe they might not be compatible because Telstra has history of modifying models,
both hardware and software, which compromised the phone experience under other carriers.
And assume they are compatible, then why it is named I9305T instead of I9305?
Obviously making one model is easier than making an I9305 and another version with a "T".
So, I guess you probably should not try the firmware for another version of the GSIII LTE until you get a CLEAR answer
Good Luck!

As far as I know they are exactly the same aside from slight software differences. I've got a GT-I9305 bought from Kogan which is a Hong Kong version. In stock form it worked on the Telstra network but the signal strength was not all that great and it use to drop of the network on odd occasion which required a restart in some case to reconnect. I got a bit tired of it so I flashed it with the official Telstra ROM last Friday. So far everything is running great, signal strength is as expected and it did not drop of the network at all since the re-flash.
All I can say now my phone is now a GT-I9305T and it works as it should :good:
awesome, thats great to know.
i was also doing some searching on the internet earlier today and realized that my s3 ( GT-I9305T) was only running the 4.1.1 version of android and that the GT-I9300 was updatable to 4.1.2, i then went on to check for an update which came back unsuccessful saying that i had the latest version of firmware, i understand that they are releasing it model by model but does anyone have any idea on whether the GT-I9305T will get the update? and also any estimate on when?

Have you tried this search?
https://www.google.de/search?hl=de&...0...1.1j2.64.psy-ab..0.2.341....0.hub_oipjIe0
I guess you will find help in one of the search results
First of all download Samsung USB Drivers: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1I3ilHBfl1lSvkqQwHZTEOE6usggQqQGb
Download TWRP for GT-I9305T: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1kmpXSVGdd_XR2WojWqAe8rd_Xm7gZ8Lj (its an old version of twrp but it should work)
After downloading twrp download Odin3: https://drive.google.com/open?id=10CLH6TqF6PLiqnMnjqY5IgsfU5KjX-F-
Extract it od desktop
Now power off your s3 and boot into download mode holding Power Button + Volume Down + Home Button
You will see that screen turned on and press Volume up to continue into Download mode
Connect your s3 into your pc via usb cable. Open Odin3 and you will see on the left side message that says Added!!
Now click od the AP button and select twrp that you downloaded
Go to options tab and make sure that Re-Partition is unticked, Auto-Reboot and F. Reset Time keep ticked
Finally click Start button and the twrp should flash, you will see green text saying PASS!
After flashing twrp the phone should automatically reboot, download SuperSU: https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/supersu/download/zip/SuperSU-v2.82-201705271822.zip
Turn off the phone again and hold Power Button + Volume Up + Home Button and it should boot into twrp, swipe to allow system modifications, and select install and find the supersu.zip file, select it and swipe to confirm flash.
After reboot your s3 should be rooted. You will have SuperSU app in the menu.

If you want to flash ROM's you can use any i9305 ROM and it will work fine. Your Modem however has to be a i9305T Model otherwise you will get no reception anywhere.
Thanx I didn't think of that. Rom is goin strong still

[Q] Downgrading to 4.1.1 with 3 Sweden

Hello, I updated my system to 4.1.2 and rooted it so as to unlock the phone after which I found out that the only way to carrier unlock this phone is with 4.1.1
How do I safely downgrade so as to get 4.1.1? The phone is locked to 3 here in Sweden. I guess I need a Nordic version but have not found it.
I am very new to this so as detailed help as possible would be appreciated.
Model GT-I9305
Android version 4.1.2
Baseband version I9305XXBLL5
Kernel version

Hi..
You have to look and learn from the forum.
As a noob its dangerous to flash firmwares.
Info is provided everyware on the forum.
Its not against the law to search just breafly on the forum and google.
Google search: Downgrade i9305
Sent from my GT-I9305 using XDA Premium HD app
Because its dangerous is the reason I ask for help here and of course I have googled. And I dont find anything about swedish/nordic firmware only people downgrading in England or the States. That is why I ask the question here.
Since I have sucesfully rooted my device I dont consider myself a noob, just careful.
So instead of stating the obvious like suggesting googling, maybe point me to a proper firmware that I can downgrade with.
Or a thread with relevant information.
Peace
If this is what to use which file should it be? This is why I put my initial question..
Using Odin is a breeze, its something else to know what to flash with so you dont brick your device.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1935570
Ok.. what ever..
Go to www.sammobile.com
There is where every one finds his or her firmware.
Register... goto firmware section... chose
Smartphone..android...i9305.. and the apropriet language for your phone..
The reason no one answeres this question is becaus its like telling you where to get toilet paper.

Use any of stock 4.1.1, unlock it and then flash it with latest Nordic 4.1.2
I guess it must be the file from November 2012 to use with Odin for any GT-I9305 from Sweden then, regardless of carrier? Not the one from September?
This one to use?
I9305XXALK5_I9305TLAALK1_TLA.zip
So if I downgrade to 4.1.1, do the unlock procedure, then it is as easy as to upgrade to 4.1.2 again using Odin and all should be back to normal. Correct?
The carrier unlock procedure can only be done on 4.1.1
Thank you for helping out!
Ok Djembey, just saw you posted a reply and that answers the question then. Many thanks
TLA is Telia and not Nordic, NEE is Nordic. And remember to do a full wipe after changing to another CSC to get OTA updates.
Glad I checked back here, was just about to do a downgrade using TLA firmware. This feels shaky to say the least :/
On Sammobile I can only find the 4.1.2 firmware NEE,I9305XXBMA3_I9305NEEBMA1_NEE.zip, where to find the 4.1.1?
So downgrading and updating using the NEE firmwares will make sure I receive OTA in the future?
And do I need to do a full swipe both after downgrading and then again when I update to 4.1.2 after unlocking?
Many thanks!

ANY 4.1.1 for the I9305 can be used! You will only use it for the unlock.
So is this the correct procedure?
1.Downgrade using TLA
2.No swipe
3.Unlock device
4.Upgrade using the NEE firmware
5.Then do a full swipe
Done

FYI: Stock ROM NEE is for all Nordic Countries and it's better than TLA as is updated more frequently.
CSC_NEE contains settings for 34 Nordic Networks.
