Spigen and Gadget Shieldz screen protector - Galaxy S6 Edge Accessories

I have ordered many screen protector on ebay and most are ugly and with bad dimension respect of my galaxy s6 edge.
After i tried know brands:
1) Spigen flex hd protector:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60261658&postcount=82
Good dimension but with strange texture and orange effect.
2) Spigen Steinheil Curved Crystal
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61416391&postcount=102
Best protector imho but after a 1 day top right corner no longer remains on the screen. I noticed that there are many with the same problem. ( i want to try again in future )
3) Now i tried the Gadget Shieldz, wet application.
Perfect dimension, fit 99.8% on the edge, a very slight orange effect but good feel and apparence.
I am waiting for a decent tempered glass...

My VZW G2 Screen Protector and Cases Review

I'm going to post one at a time...so the pictures don't get confused with others. I hope this helps
.....1.....The SNP Tempered Glass Protector (Price $32.00)
This one took a long time to receive it since it was coming from Korea with really slow cheap shipment, but the product had no damage so it was all good.
I thought I did good installation on the Tempered glass protector, but all around the edges I had gap (You can see it from the pictures). I contacted the seller and they told me that this screen protector is not for Verizon model, because of the 1mm curved edges. I guess the Korean version of the G2 don't have curved edges and I don't know about Atnt or Tmobile models.
So they gave me a full refund, since they didn't mention that it is not for Verizon models.
But if you have the Korean Version of the phone I really recommend it.
The Tempered glass protector covers close to edge to edge. The responsiveness and the clarity is excellent. The feel of this screen protector is really good. My fingers were sliding across really easy. Edges are smooth rounded so it feels smooth all around the edges.
Since the protector is close to edge to edge you can't use cases like the Diztronic cases or SGP Slim armor, etc. since it interfere with the screen protector that it will lift up the screen protector.
So you have to use the ones like Poetic Palette or Incipio Feather cases or etc.
Even though it had gaps all around the edges I have use this screen protector for 2 weeks and I had no issue with clarity or sensitivity. Overall performance of this tempered glass protector is really fantastic. If this had fit my phone then this one was a keeper...but It was just sad that it didn't fit my G2.
.....2..... Scosche 2.1A High Amp Dual USB Car Charger (Price $6.00)
If you are looking for fast dual USB car charger this one works out great. Like other dual USB car chargers have one 2.1A and one 1.0A Charging ports but Scosche car charging ports are both 2.1A charging ports. In other words...Scosche car chargers will charge 2 devices about the same speed as the OEM wall charger that you got when you bought your G2. It charges really fast.
Overall performance is really excellent. I have used this car charger for over 2 weeks now and have no problem so far. This just does exactly what it is suppose to do. It charges the phone as fast as the rapid wall charger, so this is a keeper for me. In my opinion this car charger is cheap compare other car chargers that charges slower than this.
.....3.....The Hohoo 9H Screen Protector (Price $12.50)
First this screen protector is NOT TEMPERED GLASS SCREEN PROTECTOR. This screen protector is made out of PMMA (Poly Methyl Methacrylate), it's basically acrylic. Im saying this because some of the sellers are posting this as a tempered glass protector when it is clearly not. There is a reason why the price point is low.
This one was a defected product which the top part of the screen protector adhesive part was not good that it made air gaps and if I leave it on for a couple of minutes it lifts up by itself, so I contacted the seller and the seller told me that he is sending a new one for me.
The installation wasn't that hard. The screen response was good and the screen clarity was really good. It feel like I was touching a tempered glass screen protector. My fingers glide really smooth. The screen protector size is basically little bit bigger than the screen, but it doesn't cover up the whole front side. In my opinion this is a really good size for the screen protector. Since I can put on Diztronic TPU cases without interfering with the screen protector (just has a tiny gap between the screen protector and the case edges).
Even though this was a defected product everything really work great except for the adhesive part. Going to wait for new one for my final opinion on this screen protector.
...4....The Hohoo 9H Screen Protector (Replacement)
I have received the replacement screen protector and the first thing that I have notice was that the boxing image was different from the first one that they have sent me. The next thing that was different was when I was installing it was the sensor area cut out. It doesn't make a huge difference but just fyi.
The second screen protector that I received had really good adhesives so I didn't get any air gaps. I had no issue with any sensitivity. The screen protector feels really smooth and my fingers slides through easily. The best part about this protector is that the size. I really think this is the best screen protector size for VZW G2.
I really like this screen protector but one problem for me with the screen protector was when I go outside in a really cold weather (near about 0°C) the protector just lifts up by itself for some reason. But if I put it back in a room temperature for a bit it start sticking back to the screen...I have tested 5 times doing this and also sent an email to the seller and the seller just gave me a refund. But in room temperature it doesn't have any problem. The adhesive is actually really good that even though I reattached it more than 5 times it didn't made any gaps or lifting in room temperature. This might be the material of the screen protector problem or I might have got a bad batch but in my experience it happen like that.
Overall performance is excellent. If I didn't had any issue with the lifting then this screen protector was a keeper for me. In my opinion the feel and strength and display is in the same level as the tempered glass protector. If you want tempered glass protector like features without paying a lot. This screen protector might fit for you.
I still have this screen protector on since I don't have any issue in room temperature. But I just have order a new tempered glass protector made from Glassview. It should be coming soon so until then I'm going to keep using this screen protector.
.....5..... Diztronic Cases (Price $10.00)
First impression with these cases were that it's really slim case. Diztronic cases are made out of TPU material. I have purchase two of Diztronic cases, matted black and clear type. Both types of cases have really good grip. The matted black case had so much better resistance against finger prints than the clear case. The matted black case had little bit more slippery feeling than the clear case, but the Matted black looks better than the clear one in my opinion. One final difference between these two types of cases is that the matted black case is $1 more expensive than the clear case.
All the cut out holes were perfectly aligned. On the top it has a lip that even though you put it face down it will protect from the screen touching the surface. This case purpose is basically to protect against everyday use scratches. If you drop the phone with this case on I really don't think this case will protect it from saving your phone.
Overall, if you want a slim case that doesn't any much bulk and protects every corner of your phone this is perfect. But for some reason if you think you will drop the phone get more bulkier case like Otterbox or Incipio Dualpro or etc.
.....6.....Incipio Feather Shine Case (Price $29.99)
I have used this case for over 2 weeks now and it is just perfect for me. Especially the back aluminum finish looks really nice and I don't have to worry about finger prints on the back of my phone anymore. The case fits really tight so there is no worry that the phone is just going to fall off from the case. This case is a really low profile case that it only covers the back and the sides and the four corners of the phone, but not covering the bottom and the top of the phone. This case have slightly lower profile than the Diztronic cases. It has a really small lip on the side of the phone. The lip of the case was about the same size as my screen protector that if I put it face down the screen protector is touching the bottom too. Since my screen protector's thickness is around 0.33mm so I'm assuming that the lip size is around 0.33mm. I'm not too worry about putting my phone face down since the screen protector I have so far stood up pretty good, but if you don't have screen protector just be careful if you are putting it face down.
The back aluminum finish looks nice but it makes the phone a bit slippery. I got some scratches on the aluminum finished back already, I think these scratches came from the keys that was in my pocket. I mean the phone case purpose is to prevent from scratching the actual phone so it is doing its job but it got scratched way too easily than what I was expecting from this case. I think my Hohoo screen protector is so much better against scratches than the aluminum finished case since my screen protector haven't got any scratches so far.
A lot of people complain about this case because of the signal lost, but to me so far I have not lost any signals or the case cause a weak signal. I'm getting the same signal bar with or without the case. I think some people complaining about the signal lost with this case on have got a bad batch of the case.
Overall, I think if you want a really low profile case with really nice look on the back then this case might be good for you. This is not a drop proof case. It's the same thing that I said about Diztronic cases, this is not the case that you want if you think you are going to drop your phone. This case is basically to prevent from everyday scratches.
Did you ever receive that screen protector from Glassview?
Do the screen protectors need to specifically say for verizon? Or are they compatible with any model? I want to buy some screen protectors but they dont specify what model just lg g2

This is definitely a great case for those who are looking for something to make the phone a little easier to hold and protect the back from scratches. The outer lip lets me put my phone face down whereas before I would be afraid of scratching the screen.

Ill post pictures later.
So is that why the screen protectors that Verizon sold me isnt working with the cheap rubber case I have that came with it, until I can get a new one. Tempered glass?

....what are you talking about...
I use the VZW Screen Protectors they had because I got 20% off the phone (when you buy 2 accessories) and they were like $7 for 3. The VZW guy didn't put it on very well but I used the second one and a hinge method to get it perfectly aligned and centered.
I use a Incipio Feather Rubber Matte Case and it doesn't affect the Screen Protector. The Diztronics are cool but I don't like the big lips around the edges that will screw with the protector sometimes. No problems with the Incipio.
Screen protectors are compatible for all models of G2. Only the Verizon Cases are different because I guess it is a 1mm thicker due to addition of Qi Charging.

.....7.....GlassView Tempered Glass Protector (Price $32.99)
I have used this Tempered Glass Protector for over 2 weeks now and I think this is the one that I'm going to keep.
First, the application process was really easy for me. I installed it in like 30s and was done with perfect alignment. The size and the cutout of this screen protector is just perfect. It avoid all the lifting all around the screen and it is really case friendly that it fits the Diztronic cases. Im not too sure about the bulkier cases like the otterbox or bulkier incipio cases since these cases use up a lot of bezel space. The Thickness is only 0.23mm but The quality of the screen protector is really good. It has 9H hardness that suppose to prevent from everyday scratches and more and it is also shatterproof. The sensitivity and feel of this screen protector is just fantastic. I had no issue with responsiveness and my fingers were gliding through really smoothly. It was really easy to wipes off the fingerprints from the screen protector. Between SNP and Hohoo Screen protector feel of the smoothness wise GlassView is a clear winner for me.
I think this tempered glass is better than the MIME Tempered Glass. Since MIME Tempered Glass is cut short on the sides that doesn't really completely cover the screen but GlassView is covers the whole screen.
Overall, I think this is the best Tempered Glass screen protector that you can find on the market right now (at least for me). I thought about buying iloome flex but it looked too thin and I really don't see that much difference between just regular screen protector and iloome flex. I wanted more sturdy screen protector and I think I found my winner. I think I'm going to stick with GlassView tempered glass protector for a quite a bit before I find something that is better.

Best Combination of Case+Screen Film S7 Edge

Hello!
Currently I'm using
Spigen Slim Armor:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AUR18D0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00
IQ Shield Matte
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BG2ELRI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00
Its working horribly, there's bubble in all corners (See photos attached). If i'm not mistaken the spigen case is pushing hard on the corners top and bottom.
Is this happening to some of you guys?
What combination of case and screen protector are you guys using so that this doesn't happens?
Thanks in Advance
I have been using the ZAGG invisible shield hd dry combined with a Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro.
I LOVE this combo.
The screen protector went on relatively easily. did that day one. no bubbles anywhere and it's super clear. it wrapped around the sides easily with the special applicator included in the box. this is NOT a typical credit card squeegee install. I had it just like that for a few days until the case showed up.
What i like about this case is the two part sandwich effect. There is a frame that clips on the front of the phone and the whole ting then inserts into the back. sort of like the ottorbox cases. only half the price. The frame completely protects the edges of the screen protector, i don't thing there really is a way to accidentally rub on the edges of the screen protector and work it loose.
And bonus, it works in my QI wireless charger with no problems whatsoever.
I've got the IQ shield non matte and a Ringke Fusion Crystal case. It's shock simple and has dust covers.

Does the zagg protector should help in case of drops? And is it as good as a tempered glass in that case?

I don't know about best combo (because this is my first combo) but I have the Spigen Ultra Hybrid crystal clear and the Skinomi TechSkin on my gold platinum S7 Edge and so far so good. I just installed the Skinomi last night since I got it yesterday. My Spigen case I've had on the phone since March 5th when the case arrived. I ordered both products from Amazon.
The Skinomi I had did the same as the op, as for the Zagg HD amazon refunded my order yesterday saying something was wrong the product and they were canceling it.

Zagg HD Dry front and back with Otterbox Symmetry Clear Series
My UAG case pushed the top right corner had to trim just a little. This case seems to be more screen protector friendly. Both cases are pretty much identical is size. The otterbox is much stiffer and back seems more scratch resistant, the UAG is already scratched. UAG offers a little more screen protection in the corners and the buttons are much easier to press. Pics are taken on top of the UAG case for size comparison.

Nope, everything is laying down with no signs of peeling. The zagg did stay on the phone for 3 days with no case while I was waiting for Amazon to deliver and I did blow dry the edges. I don't think this made a difference, otterbox just seems like it sits on top protector better. The case seems to lack screen protection though, the raised edge on top and bottom of screen is only about 1/16 thick. I've never broke a phone but this might be a deal breakerbreaker for some.
I don't have a way of taking taking a pic right now, but I have the Spigen Tough Armor on my GS7E with a Skinomi MatteSkin screen protector.
The Skin has may be 1-2 mm taller than optimal, I have just the slightest push from the case on the top of the skin, but that could also be my fault for not as well aligning the skin as possible. Tough call. I'll probably be putting a new skin on this week anyway just because I'm OCD about it.
addendum 2016/3/23: replaced the MatteSkin last night and put the Tough Armor back on this morning. Alignment seems good. One 'speck' maybe under the skin near the top under the Samsung logo, you'll see some squiggles there where I was working against it this morning to see if it was a bubble that could be pushed out. {shrug}
Fit between the two seems *tight* but *may* be good or great.
After putting the Tough Armor back on I got some push against the bottom left edge of the MatteSkin but a few passes with a spudger seems to have smoothed it back out. See if it stays.
The inner edge of the Tough Armor on the front top/bottom seems tight and sharp-edged where it meets the phone. If this was backed off 0.5mm-ish there would definitely be no issue.
I know some don't like how much the Tough Armor stiffens up the buttons on the sides, but that works in my favor as it cuts down on unintended activation when the phone is in a backpack or pocket, and the shape of the Armor edge makes for a nice flat stance when using the kickstand or otherwise leaning on the side.
Final word: 97% perfect fit. The case ended up pushing the bottom of the screen protector a bit, the inner most lip edges on the Tough Armor was about 1 mm too far to play nice with the MatteSkin. Trimming the edge of the case with a sharp knife though does resolve it, if you can do that with a truly even hand it probably would be a great combo, my hand isn't that perfect so I had a bit of an irregular edge. Worked well though, otherwise.
I'm currently using the IQ Shield HD Wet screen protector:

With the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Rugged Full Body Case:

I just received the Tech21 Frame case in the mail so will be seeing if that works well with the screen protector. Unfortunately I have heard it doesn't but here's to hoping.
Update: Tech21 Frame case will indeed push up on the edges of the screen protector.
The best screen protector I have used to date is from bestskinsever and their customer service is top notch. It isn't noticble at all and the cutouts are scary accurate.
I have ordered some from xtremeguard and the cutouts are too big and I ended up tossing them. The other brand I tried was some from illumni and they scratch up real easy, the fit was better than extremeguard but not by that much and their customer service sucked.

Galaxy S7 Edge Case, Spigen® [Ultra Hybrid] AIR CUSHION [Crystal Clear] Clear back panel + TPU bumper for Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (2016) - 556CS20034 with the hollow bumpers in the corner works well with screenknight protector.
Obliq Naked Shield Black + ArmorSuit MilitaryShield FullScreen Extreme Clarity HD
Case : Obliq Naked Shield
Screen : ArmorSuit MilitaryShield
While I like the look of the Skinomi MatteSkin on the screen I wanted to try something else, for comparison. So I got the ArmorSuit and put it on, along with the Obliq case - changing over from a more stealth to more bling kind of look, truly.
Both the case and shield are a very nice fit for the device. Not as large nor thick as the Tough Armor I had been using, time will tell whether that's good or bad.
The ArmorSuit screen protector, once on and de-bubbled basically disappears. It's only the 1st day of use but it's very much NOT there, visually.
The Obliq case is also very lean, and the back is very clear, letting the look of the silver phone I have glare out at you.
Combined they seem to work seamlessly together. I was concerned in particular because the ArmorSuit is a full coverage, and not their case-friendly version, however in this case they seem to be working well together. I truly must have gotten lucky with the screen protector install because I literally can't see the edges of it vs the edges of the Obliq case. Nice.
The Obliq is NOT as much protection as the Tough Armor, to be sure, but it is prettier and alters the ergonomics and looks of the phone dramatically less.
The Obliq DOES appear to be a "fingerprint magnet" though ... time will tell.
The ArmorSuit does NOT appear to be a fingerprint magnet, which is nice. It is very glossy/reflective though, as a couple of the pics I've attached show.
I initially had this Roya kickstand case.. plus this tempered glass protector
I've decided to give the iq shield (not the matte one) a try per some recommendations on here.. hoping sensitivity is at least "close" to having no protector (like with regular phones + tempered).. i've had iq shield in the past and its been solid though i seem to recall sensitivity taking a hit.
I'm going with the Beetle Pro Full case (not hybrid one).. i guess its harder to get off if you use gear vr.. but i saw a rumor if you cut the bumpers off near the usb on gear vr a case may fit, unsure.
I saw the Spigen with kickstand.. it looks similar to the Beetle Pro.. can anyone comment on how slippery it is, or if its got a good grip like the Beetle Pro (full) and protects the edges too (easier to get off maybe)? Spigen appears to not have edge protection, so similar to Beetle Hybrid ($11.99 vs Spigen at $17.99).. I would think the Beetle Pro Hybrid would make more sense price wise.
I guess if you get the $99 2 year accidental damage samsung warranty then the hybrid is a no brainer.

Don't buy tempered glass protection for 1+5!!

It seems that all currently available on AliExpress (at least) tempered glass protection are flawed, because of:
1- Protectors that covers the body in full, and has some black areas: has actually glue only on the black non-transparent zones, but nothing on display area it self (so only display ages, upper and lower parts has glue), this makes it rubbish, because it will not stick well to the screen, one or two gaming sessions and it will end in recycle bin.
2- Fully transparent one, with full screen coverage: because 1+5 has 2.5D screen, those covers will not stick well on phone edges since tempered glass is rigid, this maybe can be used only with covers that overlap edges of the screen also.
3-Fully transparent one that don't cover all of the screen: those usually stick well, but only if they left about 5mm on each edge uncovered! I believe it is clear that such a gap ruins the protective purpose of the tempered glass, aside the ugly look due to gaps. (Again, having an edge overlapping cover could make it look better)
So it seems the only practical option for now is to use usual non glass protection unfortunately.
If I missed something or you have some suggestions please let me know..Some manufacturers claims that there protector is 4D, what means that it should solve all above issues, i didn't try those yet, anybody tested them?
I am regretting removing original 1+5 protection
As I bought and still use an Orzly tempered glass protector I concur with your analysis at this time. When I first applied the Orzly is was perfect without the issues some experienced but after 3+ weeks the sides must have lifted slightly due to my bumper case and dust particles got underneath next to the left/right buttons. Since then I've been religiously looking for an alternate that passes the case test but none so far have come to light.
I like the feel of the tempered glass so much that I've resisting going back to the film/plastic alternatives which I had always used in the past. I'm even considering going naked on the screen, relying on Gorilla Glass 5, but continue with a bumper case. Or the reverse, by using an Orzly but with no bumper case as I already have a dBrand skin applied. None of those options seem all that appealing. The one protector that seems to work with a 2.5D screen is the Galaxy 8's Whitestone Dome Glass but it's a crazy expensive $41USD and difficult to apply. I'm not sure even if a OnePlus 5 version was available I'd spend that much money.
I haven't had any luck with any tempered glass., due to point 2 which has been raised:
2- Fully transparent one, with full screen coverage: because 1+5 has 2.5D screen, those covers will not stick well on phone edges since tempered glass is rigid, this maybe can be used only with covers that overlap edges of the screen also.

After reading all of the reviews I decided just to leave the plastic one on until someone gets their act together and offers a proper tgsp for the OP5
Sent from my OnePlus5 using XDA Labs
Agreed with OP and all of above. I had and still have the Orzly TG protector on, but dust underneath. I want to go back to the usual plastic ones, but don't know which one covers as well/much as the original one that came with the phone. Any recommendations?

Im still waiting for my Nilkin glass protector to arrive (it's almost been a month, sigh)
If this one has the same issue as the ones I've tried before it (lack of adhesive around the edges), I'm going to try and go back to using plastic screen protectors.
I don't want to use my device without one, but I also hate how these glass protectors don't fully adhere to the screen around the sides (including top and bottom)

The YouTube channel you mention is also my favorite choice for screen protector info for the Oneplus 5. He always tests the protectors with various cases. His branding of the channel can get annoying but his market coverage is excellent and vast. With the plethora of tempered screen protectors its your choice for an accompanying case that often makes a big difference in your satisfaction. Here is the Big unBox - Biuzko review.
One thing I noticed is when the Big unBox applied the Official OnePlus 5 tgsp video it had lots of bubbles on the edges that he said couldn't be removed while I watched XDA's TK review and his application looked perfect with TK giving it a thumbs up. In the comment section of that review TK said all was well even after a month of usage. I was surprised as the Official tgsp has garnered horrible reviews and comments in the XDA Oneplus 5 accessories section. The most consistent criticism of the Official tgsp is that it cuts off a tiny fraction of the screen. In fact, so far my research indicates all of the "Full Adhesive", "Full coverage" tgsp cut off part of the screen. Personally I think the reason they have a black line on the edges is to hide inevitable bubbles due to the curved edge. The thicker the tempered glass the wider the side black stripes (e.g. Orzly versus Official).
Here is the criteria I'm using in selecting a replacement for my Orzly tgsp and cheap bumper case. Note that I've already installed a dBrand skin so that skews my criteria somewhat.
Tempered Glass screen protector:
- Must have full adhesive (not just top/bottom and side adhesion) and full coverage
- Would prefer, but am a tiny bit flexible on, part of the screen being cut off (limit is that not one pixel of the notification bar's clock is trimmed)
- Must have an oleophobic coating
Case:
- Needs to be as non intrusive as possible adding grip but not greatly ruining the sleekness of the phone
- Uses a minimalist design and/or clear materials so as not to obstruct viewing of the dBrand skin I've installed
- With the case on the buttons (power and volume rocker) must not be difficult to press
So far my research has me leaning towards the Official OnePlus 5 or Biuzko tgsp with a Rhinoshield Crashguard case. My one issue is that the Rhinoshield reviews always mention how difficult the volume rocker buttons are to press. Here is the video that has me leaning in that direction as is seems to best address my criteria
OnePlus 5 best case/protector setup
I'll being doing more reading and searching today hoping to find the unicorn of tgsp/case combinations. The dust under my Orzly is driving me mad but the feel and responsiveness of its surface has me rejecting a film/plastic protector alternative.
I'm using the Biuzko as well with the Tudia MERGE case no problems.
The trick is to first put OP5 in the case, THEN place the screen protector on. It fits perfectly, and you can't mess up the alignment since it falls right in. Then I just try to put pressure on the sticky parts for a few minutes.
I've had no problems for 3 weeks now.
I installed mine the same way, but I'm using the op5 carbon fiber case.

The original plastic cover was just perfect, is there is any possibility to find an équivalence ?
There's only tempered glasses on internet

Hello,
I recommend you the plastic screen protectors from GadgetShieldz. I made a review about it on another post on xda but to summarize, it's a bit difficult to apply but then it's great. The screen looks good and it's cheap ^^ highly recommend.
FYI, I was struggling with TGSP for the OP5 and I just gave up. There is no good alternative atm.

Skinomi makes a wet application protector in both clear and matte. I posted pics of the matte version here. Since that post, I've experienced no scratches or orange peel effect. It's also great for no fingerprints.
You can always get the Nillkin H+ Pro, but only if you are using a spigen case or otterbox. Right now I am using the Spigen Rugged Armor with Nillkin H+ Pro and the gap between the glass and the case is around 1 mm (i would say 1.5 mm if I have to be more accurate). The Otterbox case is even better but I find it too bulky, tried it once for an hour and I did not enjoy it, but some of you may like it.
Few words about the Nillkin H+ Pro.
I know there are few variants of the Nillkin glass and I have tried all of them in the past. In my opinion the best glass is exactly the H+ Pro even tho it is a 1 dollar more expensive. The glass has zero rainbow effect or halo effect, it is 99 to 100% clear. It has amazing orleophobic coating. My Honor 8 has the same glass for 6 months now and it is flawless. I am going to change my nillkin glass with the official 3D tempered glass but only because I received the rhinoshield bumper. Otherwise I would not change my nillkin. You are going to get used to the small gap in a week or so.
Don't leave the phone without a glass.
I just applied mine, best screen protector I ever had, pure quality. Quote me on that
I love the official OnePlus screen protector, it's premium & looks good. Who ever made this thread is straight up wrong. The one he recommended is no Bueno, the glass part doesn't have enhesive. Look I am a OnePlus 5 conisuer, the screen protector is fantastic ?
I have siegen case. Can I buy the original screen protector from oneplus store with no problems? Or can I suggest me something with dust proof and oil proof ?

Otterbox defender screen protector?

Has anyone found one that works yet ? I hear Whitestone dome is a no go.

I got a zagg one from best buy. Expensive but zero problems since it's been on. The very edges have adhesive that is visible on the curved sides making a slight line. Not a deal breaker but it is there. No halo effect like I had on the note 5 protectors either. Expensive but I'm very happy so far.
Tech armor glass does.

I use the Zagg InvisibleShield HD
The edges don't stay down the best, but it works well with the Otterbox Defender case.

Do you have a picture with the case on? I have the defender also and looking for a tempered glass
The problem you will find with most glass protectors is they typically only have adhesive around the edges. This means there is a gap between the protector and the screen and this decreases sensitivity. I'd look for a new case that works with Dome Glass. Cases are a dime a dozen but glass protectors with full adhesive are very limited. I typically buy UAG cases but only the Monarch UAG works with the Dome Glass. There are 3 YouTube videos that go through compatible cases for Dome Glass.

Sure, the case comparability test by mobile fun on YouTube. My case is yet to arrive, as soon as it does I'll put up pictures.

Thanks I'll have to check that out
Otterbox has the Alpha Glass out already.. Was going to get a defender + alpha glass if I didnt already have a UAG plasma
Dont waste your money
ALPHA GLASS FOR NOTE 8 This is the WORST designed screen protector. It causes a major loss in screen sensitivity, to the point of having to tap screen several times, and press down with a good deal of pressure to get the screen to respond. There is a large gap at both top and bottom of screen. Adhesive is CLEARLY visable on all borders of the protector. I am extremely disappointed in the design of this! I have used alpha glass protectors before on my Samsung galaxy s8+ and was looking forward to the release of this one. I will be telling everyone i know to steer clear of this product! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY~ YOU MIGHT AS WELL FLUSH IT DOWN THE TOILET~ I am a faithful customer of Otterbox, I love their cases, but this screen protector does not live to otterbox brand. I will stay a customer with their cases, but I will NEVER again purchase an alpha glass!
Otterbox defender & whitestone dome match made in heaven
So I just finished installing my whitestone dome glass protector, what a great system, 1st one failed cos of my error but second time worked sweet as. All cured and sitting pretty, absolutely no touch screen lag very responsive and very nice to use, wouldn't even know there was anything on the screen.
My case of choice is the otter box defender, I'm hard on my phones and with the note 8 almost costing a mortgage deposit, I want it well protected. Both the whitestone and the defender case appears to be made for each other, the edge of the protector sits almost flush with the top part of the case = perfect fit. No lifting no nothing. It's amazing to say the least..
The corners are actually protected by the corners of the case and it's like the case holds the glass even more secure, again no lifting or anything.
Hope this helps some of you out. I'm happy to supply pictures if any of you guys need.
Happy protecting everyone..

Could you keep us updated on your experience with this? A lot of other people have concluded that if the case is in contact with the screen protector, it will start lifting at some point.
I was using tempered glass screen guard on my Note 8. However I dropped the phone twice from a height of about 2/2.5 feet and the screen guard cracked. I am now using Samsung original clear view case for Note 8. Should I use glass screen guard with the clear view case?

The screen protector is supposed to crack so your phone screen doesn't. My advise, if you like your note 8 put a screen on it! ?
Cut out your defender inner plastic
I've already wasted one expensive tempered glass (Araree tempered glass made in Korea, $29.99 + $8 international shipping to US).
When I used this expensive protector, there was some portion overlapped with Depender's inner plastic. Actually it made the tempered glass broken in the edge side.
So, what you can do is, using the sharp nife cut out Defender's plastic edge side where it contacts with glass screen protector. If you do this carefully, it won't look ugly. Or you can use the sand paper to remove some edge portion of plastic.
This Araree tempered glass (full cover) works great with Spigen neo hyprid case. No lift nor sensitivity loss.
I also found that Otterbox defender case works with Sammy's faster charger if we put the phone in the exact middle of the charger and with the charger plate is in plat position. But if we try to charge the phone with the charge plate is in vertical position, there was no way to charge the phone...
Wish I could have read this before I tried the UAG Prism case with the Best Buy installed Zagg glass protector. Cracked the upper left edge of the protector. I have an Otterbox Defender on and it's good. Unfortunately, right from the initial screen protector install, there was separation and touch sensitivity issues. Heading to Best Buy to have them put on another screen protector.

What screen protector will work with the otterbox defender for the Note 8?

Mi Note 3 Tempered Glass, Full Cover

I've ordered at about 5-6 Tempered Glass for our Mi Note 3, and it wasn't easy to find one which fitted our phone perfectly. If you'll order one, than search for 'full cover'
This one fitted our display perfectly and is rounded and cheap, too:
https://de.aliexpress.com/item/LITB...-Xiaomi-anmerkung3-Glas-Film/32846070628.html
Yep, finally gave up searching for a fully transparent one as none fits edge to edge, ended up buying the one you posted and somewhat satisfied because it covers edge to edge, albeit the precision is a bit questionable and the matte finish gives different impression of blue (it's more like purple). NVM, my back cover is protected with a transparent TPU case and I can still myself in the "mirror" which is very helpful for back camera selfie (I love to do that because pixel2mod front camera won't work in advanced features like bokeh).
I have a few ones`s: At the moment i use one 9H tempered, and with colour blue. Not the qualith of a Ultimate Shield or Nilkellin, but it works so far...
And covers all screen.
Im using this for my Blue model:

Of course is not a Nilkellin or Ultimate Shield, but covers it all.

I brought it in Taobao and I don't think it can spam oversea outside of China. It need special oil to fix 2.5d glass problem which is liquid but become solid when dry.

Since mi note3 has curved edges, I bought soft protectors form taobao. Glass protectors dont fit very well.
Ace case do a tempered glass one that fits the corners perfectly. The main issue with it is that only the top and bottom coloured sections have glue on. Hard to explain but the part coving the screen doesn't so the slight air gap does effect viewing quality after a month or two.
I just got a ace case invisible screen protector to replace the tempered glass one and it is excellent. Obviously it won't protect as well from a large fall but I think it should still do a good job.
It's a soft plastic screen protector that you apply wet to the phone and it drys out after a few hours. Perfect fit and the quality is excellent. Feels good under the fingers and is very resistant to smudges. I'm really impressed so far.
