I don't think so, I haven't even seen a mod that changes that. Might have to look at older Sony phones to see if someone was able to change that.

Did you try to re-assign the camera button with Xposed Additions?
http://www.addictivetips.com/android/xposed-additions/
With free version you cannot assign Camera action for the Screen Off condition, but with the pro (pay) version you should be able to launch shortcut (maybe Camera shortcut that should maintain camera settings).

You are lookig for "20MP Superioruto"

[Q] Change lockscreen's camera mode or app

Hi does anyone know how to change the camera mode (Intelligent Auto+) when accessed from the lockscreen camera switch? My camera app is set to "Normal", for I'm not comfortable with using Intelligent Auto+, but when accessed from the lockscreen, it goes to the Intelligent Auto+ mode.
Also related - possible to change the default camera app?
Thanks!

in the camera app under settings,
click quick launch and set your desired mode
That setting don't work - it just allows me to choose whether
1) capture a shot right after launching
2) launch camera IN INTELLIGENT Auto mode
3) launch video cam and start shooting
4) launch video cam
5) remove lockscreen camera launcher
None of this option allows me to launch camera in NORMAL mode.
Any other ideas!

How to start camera app in manual mode instead in superior auto?

Superior auto is ridiculous taking pictures in 8 Mp instead of 20 and going to insane ISO producing Noisy pictures with low detail, going to "Manual" and setting ISO to 50 helps a lot, so i am shooting only on Manual, but here is the problem - when you start camera it always go to auto you should switch it to manual manually it takes time and you can miss the moment.
Is there a way to force camera app to start in Manual mode directly?
Developers please help!
Nope, only way atm is by making a shortcut and launching the cam through that

Do do a shortcut to manual mode you just long-hold a page, just as you normally would add a widget, and then click "Apps" -> "Shotcuts" -> Camera. Then you can choose a camera-mode.

[request] [modders pls] Xperia Z1 CAMERA QUICK LAUNCH to MANUAL instead of auto

Hey XDA lovers!
There's this minor annoyance that I'm facing. And with minor, I mean a First-World-Problem BIG annoyance.
You see, I never use the Superior Auto mode of the Xperia Z1. Instead I love shooting at Manual mode with ISO around 50 to 200. Superior Auto always cranks the ISO up to infinity, it seems. The fastest way for me to get to Manual Mode now, is through a shortcut I placed on my homescreen. So to shoot, I have to unlock the device, possibly press the home button, wait and click on the shortcut. The other option is to use the camera quick launch, press the button in the lower right corner before it freezes (happens too often) and then click Manual. Both are equally tiring, considering you can already launch the camera with one press of the shutter button!
So I'm asking the experienced modders on XDA: is there a way to redirect the quick launch shortcut to open the Manual Mode of the camera? Obviously this should require root, which isn't a problem. Is this idea even possible?
Thanks in advance for thinking with me! :cyclops:
(and while we're at it, is it even possible to place the ISO setting in the hotbar so it's just one click away instead of having to dig through the menu? Hmm, I suppose not)
I haven't found a way to do this yet. Manual mode possibly can't be launched with quick launch, but the 8MP can be modified to 15MP or 20MP in Superior Auto mode, with Xposed module called "20MP Superior Auto". In Xposed Installer, go to Downloads, and search this module. But to make it work, you have to enable it in Xposed Installer, select an appropriate option in "20MP Superior Auto" , and after restart, you have to check and uncheck an option in the superior auto setting (any option), and then the mod will work! I've got Xperia Z1C and it works, I tested (even with the 4k and 120FPS also).
Hope it helps !

The Camera button seems to be tied to the "intelligent auto" mode.
Even when I press the shutter button while I'm in the Whatsapp Camera Mode, the Sony Camera App opens and the Whatsapp Camera Mode vanishes into background without taking a picture.
When phone is rooted, try freezing stock camera app and then try again while you have another app installed. That could work

On non root, simply decativate stock camera app . Install new one from playstore, and the button will open your new app. Sadly with a lockscreen you don't get a fast track to the cam, but you will have to unlock your device prime of shooting pictures.

Some tweeks for le 2 for rooted and non-rooted devices

Hi in this I'll give you some tweaks for both rooted and non rooted le 2 devices. I came across these tweaks while exploring the device...
For Non-rooted devices -
1) Enable dolby atmos app -
For this you need to download shortcut maker app from play store. I recommend to use quickshortcutmaker app in this app go and search for dolby and after that go to mainactivity and create shortcut of the app on homescreen via create button at bottom of the app.
2) Do factoy tests on your phone -
For this do steps same as above and in the search box of quickshortcutmaker type factorykit test and then go to app and then create shortcut of the app or click in try to directly open the test app
3) Enable multiple user accounts (guest accounts) in your le 2 -
For this type users in search bar of the quickshrotcutmaker app and then click on settings icon which comes in result screen and then go in the users activity and click on try to open users screen and then you can click on guest user or create your own user (Note - I recommend you to not use multiple users as eui is heavily customised rom so by going form one user to another user may stop some of phones features from working. In my case I logged into guest account but after coming back from guest account my fingerprint sensor stopped working but everything went normal after reboot)
4) Using manual mode (professional mode) in phone -
For this you just need to download bacon camera app from playstore which give you all manual functionalities to work in phone such as manual gocus, manual iso, manual exposure, manual white balance etc.
For rooted phones
1) Enable camera api 2 in phone -
For this trick you need to edit your build.prop file located in system. To do this download buildprop editor app from playstore and type the following line
persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1 and then reboot the phone this will enable camera api 2 in your phone then you can use many functionalities of camera such as save raw image files, use manual options etc. Use manual camera app after enabling camera api 2 on your phone it is paid software but you can download it for free from any other website.( default camera doesn't support many manual functionalities)
Thease are some tweaks for your le 2 if you know more tweaks then please wirte them into comments thank you

Use GravityBox Xposed module. There you can change settings for Button Backlight in Display Tweaks.

After a lot of testing I'd place open camera over manual camera cause its more tweakable, gives better results and is free too
