ZTE new phones Axon suspected exposure, reproduce to HTC? - ZTE Axon Pro

is there nobody interest in this topic?

Just pre-ordered my Axon. Let's find out how claims pan out when it arrives

axon reply
where did you purchasing it?why not wait a whole days?and where is my article?

Direct from ZTE. It doesn't ship until 8/1.

axon reply
That's sounds terrible, but it's just launch in newyork on 17th July, may you will get the phone during a months.

It's no problem. I expected to wait a few weeks. ZTE customer service has stated shipping will begin July 22, less than a week away

I have the device in hand and setting it up currently. Ordered silver, received blue. Build quality is decent but not on par with my other devices, Z3 and M9. Snappy, nice screen. Real test will come later when I test audio through headphones. This is my reason for adding this device to my collection.
Edit: Audio is rich and well rounded. Very happy with audio through headphones.

So, whats your impressions after some weeks?
Are those loudspeakers much better than those found on Z3 and M9?
Does the sim2 slot receives microSD too (as an Ali seller told me)?
Thanks! :good:

I love this device. Its quick and responsive. The QHD screen is bright and sharp. The external speaker can't compete with the Z3 or M9 since it is a single and not dual speakers like the other devices. But....sound through headphones blows away both Z3 and M9 in both shear volume and clarity. There is no sim2 slot and there is no SD card expansion slot. I believe the Axon Lux has both of these attributes but that particular device is released for China only. I would highly recommend purchasing an Axon if you are considering. Great value as well at $450 USD.

I'm in Dallas TX, and I'm pretty sure I'm using VoLTE right now. I was on the OPO (Nexus 5/Find 7 also for that matter) and I could see the network switch from LTE to 3G etc for calls. There would always be a little delay in connecting etc. Now I connect instantly and voice is super clear, like night and day clear. I'm on T-mobile.
Anyone else on VoLTE using this phone?

I have the option turned on but do not believe it is available in my area. However, I travel often and will report if I find it successful in other areas of US.

VoLTE appears to work. The setting is under the menu if you go to the dialer, hit the 3 dots and choose settings, I believe.... Might be called HD Voice too... haven't use data while simultaneously talking so can't be 100%... I know the phone does provision it if you go under the secret menu by dialing:
*#*#4636#*#*
it is under the phone settings as well :good:

VoLTE is working in Puerto RIco with ATT.

This phone works excellent in the EU too. (Belgium)

boom
It's appears that ZTE is famous in the wireless network communication area.

[Q] {EVO4G}Skyrocket Vs. Note - Samsung speaker dealbreaker issue?

I'll definitely be checking out the Note when it arrives on the 19th as I think it will be my next handheld (unless MWC reveals some awesome devices soon) but I have some speakerphone concerns, hoping it won't be a dealbreaker..
I was in an AT&T store tonight & played with the Skyrocket & followed some of the advice mentioned in this thread to try to improve its speaker & it seemed loud enough, though not great fidelity yet the Skyrocket's speaker doesn't seem to be a dealbreaker (not sure how much those apps helped as I didn't have time to do on-off comparisions but it did seem louder). So is the Note's speaker at least as good & loud as the Skyrocket?
While I had the Skyrocket in my hand, I definitely felt like I could go bigger (the Skyrocket is not quite enough of an upgrade over my EVO 4G which has a surprisingly decent+loud speaker & a big reason why I chose the EVO over the original Nexus on its launch day), so I'm excited about checking out the SGNote as long as its speaker is not a dealbreaker..?
Would appreciate feedback on EVO4G-Skyrocket Vs. Note - Samsung speaker dealbreaker issue?
-Thanks
BTW, the AT&T guy is an acquaintance & he told me that the iPhone 4S still outsells any other phone in the store including the Skyrocket by 4x, he said it's one reason why they offer bundle promotions such as buy the Galaxy Tab 8.9" for ~$479 (on 2 yr contract @ at least $35/mo) & get a Skyrocket free (on 2 yr contract-at least another ~$80/mo for reasonable data plan). I told him that while the 8.9" Tab is nice, the SGNote has the same resolution without a need to carry around 2 devices..right?
P.S. - Any evidence yet that ICS improves pen input on the SGNote (from what I've seen it looks good enough but some lag sometimes etc)?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_II#Audio
"Audio
The Galaxy S II uses Yamaha audio hardware.[35] The Galaxy S II's predecessor, the original Galaxy S, used Wolfson's WM8994 DAC.[36] User feedback on Internet forums as well as an in-depth review at Clove,[35] have expressed the Yamaha chip's inferior sound quality compared to that of the Wolfson chip featured in the original Galaxy S."
So no one here considers the speaker on the SGNote a potential dealbreaker?
Still see mixed reviews online:
http://www.pcworld.in/product/review/samsung-galaxy-note-gt-n7000-59492011
"Cons Poor External Speaker
The Note's external speaker, though, is disappointingly weak."
http://www.engadget.com/2011/10/28/samsung-galaxy-note-review/
"The Note's speaker sure is loud, though Samsung hasn't pulled any magic tricks out of the hat here when it comes to audio quality. Do you like listening to music or watching movies through tinny desktop speakers? Well, then you might not mind the Note. There's nothing exceptional about the little tweeter inside here besides its volume, so you'll want to take advantage of that 3.5mm headphone jack whenever possible."
http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/sm...form-factor-arrives-with-the-galaxy-note/4306
"I was happy to discover that the speaker on the Note is plenty loud. One complaint I had with the Nexus was its way-too-soft speaker; I had to install a volume booster app to get acceptable volume. There was no such problem with the Note, as I could hear its speaker even amidst the hustle and bustle of the CES showroom floor. Loud doesn’t necessarily mean spectacular sound quality, though — it’s a little tinny for listening to music or movies. However, I was spoiled by the Rezound with its Beats Audio and great earphones, so I might be biased."
Gee, no wonder. A brand new device on at&t network, the Galaxy note, and where do you find it? At the BOTTOM of the page, not the top. What's at the top? 2-3 year old iJunk. Also, when you walk into an at&t store, it's like walking
into an Apple store. If at&t promoted other devices, like they do iJunk, perhaps the other phones would have a chance. That, and you have the Lemmings that think the iJunk IS the status symbol to have, instead of a superior platform.

The AT&T store rep did say that many people were asking about the Note after the Super Bowl Ad. I think the Note even has the potential to convert my dad over from the iPhone though he did just upgrade to the 4S in December.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_III specs also sound amazing if true
I guess I'll find out about the SGNote's speaker on the 19th unless owners here care to chime in sooner..

mi mix earpiece volume is too low

I have recently got my hands on mi mix from hongkong. Sold to me by a dealer in dubai. I love this phone. Out of the world looks but earpiece volume is too low and becomes lower with case on. It's too fragile to be used without case. I tried calling xiaomi customer care uae. Tbey gave me the bad news that it has no warranty and further said it doesn't seem to be hardware issue. I was too eager to get this phone so i got the china rom version. Will changing to eu rom will help. Is there any beta global rom?
Any suggestions, what shall i do?
Hi. I'm in dubai as well and got mine couple weeks ago. Love it so far.
I have tried all the roms and eu is the latest one I'm running at the moment.
The earpiece takes some time getting used to.

Some think it is low, some normal. Might be personal preference or cases used.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge using XDA Labs
The sound is normal, is good.
I wear hearing aids and normally prefer a bluetooth headset for better volume levels. That said, the volume and clarity of the Mix headset speaker is as good, if not better, than my samsungs, Mi Max (sold) or Phab 2 Pro (returned after a week). In fact, without my hearing aids the volume and clarity are quite good. Over the past 6 years I have rooted each of my samsung phones (s2 and notes 1 through 5) specifically so I could edit the appropriate file (mm is mixer_paths in system/ect) to increase the volume. No need (for me) with my Mix. I'm very happy with this device.
I've moved the phone around, and while there may be some difference listening to the middle vs edge of the phone, I find either satisfying and clear.
Call quality and volume was one of my biggest concerns after reading some of the reviews and was one the main things i checked prior to buying. I was pleasantly surprised the call volume quality was pretty pretty good, no real complaints. Very pleased.
It's low & gets lower with the case.
I understand why. Because of the speaker-less technology they used.

Truly wireless earbuds for the Note 8?

Which truly wireless earbuds are you using with the Note 8 and you would recommend? Looking to buy one.
Been eyeing the Beoplay E8. I am more concerned about audio fidelity (for a bluetooth device) over any other factors.

The Beoplay E8 and Apple Airpods seem to be the best for the Note 8.

My concern is that he is testing all these using an iPhone. With the Note 8, even the codec being used changes. That is why I am looking for actual people using the Note 8 with wireless buds.

I've been using Beoplay E8's with Note 8 for the past 3 weeks and I've gotta say, I'm amazed! Audio quality is good, connection strong, and no issues so far. App lets you adjust audio and build is outstanding.
I've been using Gear Gear Iconx (2016) would love to upgrade to the 2017 model for better battery life.
I got the 2018 icon X. They can be paired with a device or even used without one. They sound good and have good touch controls.
I had the Icon X 2018, got them from B&H for $150, they were great at the beginning, but some annoynaces were like this:
1. No way to Power Off the buds without putting them back in the case, this means lots of charging/discharging the whole time.
2. Touch controls became finicky after about 2 weeks.
3. Totally subjective I know, but they hurt my ears, tried all combinations.
Back to Jaybird RUN, with latest FW Update the BT connection is rock solid, Volume is much higher than the IconX 2018, and the sound fidelity through the Jaybird App EQ settings is Superb to say the least, and I'm a musician so I know quality sound vs ... you know!
I just picked up the Blueant Pump Air.
Not bad at all and super light (4 grams)
http://www.myblueant.com/products/headphones/pumpair/
I have finally decided to pick up the E8. Once the Note 8 gets Oreo (which should be soon), i guess the lack of aptx will not matter much.
How is the audio delay when watching youtube videos with the latest firmware?
On a side note, there is Ashley Chloe's Fuse coming out soon. They have aptx and usb c charging! Would have considered them if they were to be available by mid february.
I have the Jabra elite sport and I really like them

1. They power off on their own when disconnected from blue tooth.
2. I've had them since Christmas and use them everyday. Touch controls work as good as they did when I got them. Not sure what exactly would make them "finicky" after working fine.
3. They literally have four different size pads. If you can't find a fit, then you got wonky ears lol.
Seems you quickly wrote off the IconX because you all ready had your mind made up. Which is fine, but let's be honest. The jaybird RUN is an icon X knockoff. And what's funny is I read more issues about the jaybird sounding bad and not fitting right. They even have the same pod case setup that Samsung uses. And surprise, surprise, they are just $15 less msrp than the icon X. You can tell they are trying to be the icon X. I'll just stick to the original that happens to also work seamlessly with my device. I'm also not sure what being a musician has to do with hearing sound quality, but hey, as long as you feel good about it...
I was looking at the B&O but ended up ordering the crazybaby nano off indiegogo mainly due to BT5 and future proofed.
These are shipping this month and the order is locked so have no doubt to question this date (as I am with other campaigns).

Hey, do you have issues? or really really long free and boredom time at your hands?
You criticised and analyzed every bit of word that I wrote, as if you are the master of the world, and you know everything and that you are God of technology. Grow the f up dude, I was just sharing my experience peacefully, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
I loved the IconX but preferred the Jaybird RUN at the end, end of story!
Let's not forget that the Truely wireless "thing" is still a new "thing" they will mature with time and provide better options than what we have now.
I have gone through a bunch of them - at the holiday -, and it was like you cannot just get all the PROS from all of them into 1 set, each had their pros and cons, like anything else.
I was expecting the Bose to be the top, but with their open-ended design, the sound was very shallow and thin, maybe it was made like this by design to provide ambiance awareness or sth., Elite Sport was great too.

Good wirefree headphones will be hard to find sub $100 since the tech is still new :/
If you are looking for good wired headphones, I'm using A-jays Five and Xiaomi Mi Headphones Pro HD and both are great for little money Jays sounds more natural and Mi sounds more bassy

Audio quality in video recordings

I'm looking to record some local live music events and am wondering how the audio quality is when recording video on the P20 Pro. Does it distort and become shrill at higher volume levels? (not stadium concert-level - more like a band at a bar or similar).
I realize for best results an external mic is preferred, but I don't have one just yet. Currently I'm using a Note 8 and it does fairly well, but I wanted something with better battery life.

Hmm ok. Hopefully they fix that in an update or at least on the P30 Pro.
I went ahead and got the OnePlus 6T, but there's a good chance I may upgrade again in the spring to either the Sony Xperia XZ3 Premium (or XZ4 Premium?), Samsung S10+, OnePlus 7, or P30 Pro. We'll see.

I use the Galaxy S9+ for now. The video performance is much better, and pictures does not look oil painted.
When I zoomed at pictures at P20 they went bad very quickly, were S9+ are much better. Maybe why is not possible to zoom much at stock Huawei gallery
I had some lag at wifi remote Logitech hub, thats gone on S9+, lag at Google Photos is also gone, all notifications is 100%, while P20 were close from Huawei standard, On dual SIM I can see who's calling on second SIM while talking on first, which never happened on P20
, much better vibration on T9+, But P20 pro did have better battery life, about 1 hour more, while I never ran out on juice at S9+ with easy wireless charge. And P20 has the infrared remote too.
I do look forward to Galaxy S10+ and did not bather the Mate 20 pro where problems are similar to P20 pro

Nice! Yeah that was the issue I had with the Xperia XZ3 that just came out. Love the phone overall, but the camera was a letdown. It was great at outdoor photos and selfies, but indoor not so much. Def had some of that "oil painting" issue as well. Sony f'd that up b/c the previous phone, the XZ2 Premium, had like an excellent camera on it including a dual lens, where the XZ3 is single lens. But the XZ2 P's screen was a step back as it was LCD, and it didn't have T-Mobile VoLTE either. Anyway.........wow really? Ok. My issue with the Samsung and Apple (and even Huawei) phones is they don't seem to be color accurate, but instead tend to gravitate towards "warmer tones". Some ppl like that, but I don't. But for everything else they seem great.
Wow you're making me happy I didn't get the P20 Pro. I ACTUALLY ordered it last weekend but then cancelled it on Amazon before it shipped. lol And so yeah instead now I got the OnePlus 6T coming from T-Mobile. (trading in my LG V30 to T-Mobile for that $300 trade-in deal they had going). With the modded GCam app from XDA, the pics should come out really nice, though not from what I can see of samples, still not AS nice as Samsung's, Sony's, Apple's and Pixel's. So I dunno. But it might surprise me too! The XDA devs are constantly improving it. And when I compared it using the STOCK 6T camera to my LG V30 + its GCam mod, the 6T was actually a bit more detailed and color-accurate too. So it's up in the air now as to how good it will be. I just hate buying unlocked phones when it comes to reception. T-Mobile's about to deploy Band 71 (aka 600 MHz) in my area (Chicagoland) by year's end, and yeah Samsung will have it esp if I get a phone from them from T-Mobile, but Sony and Huawei? Nope. Hopefully next year they both will though. It's like come on be more competitive guys! lol Even unlocked 6T has it, so what's their excuse? lol
Yeah P20 Pro's battery is great, and 6T's is rated 1 hour higher on GSM Arena, which is nice. P20 Pro's is rated 3 hours higher than the S9+. That was another draw but in the end, I was made to believe the 6T with GCam mod could come very close in at least daytime shots, and with it having Pixel's Night Sight ported, I thought it could do the same for night. I don't know if that will actually happen though. We'll see. Phone comes within the next few days.
Yeah the S10+ is on my list so I will check it out. I just WISH Samsung would stop with the warmer tones. If they had I very seriously would've considered the Note 9 or S9+. The Mate 20 Pro................didn't have T-Mo VoLTE, so that was an instant fail for me. But if it had I would've prob got that over the 6T cuz I think slightly better camera than P20 Pro. The P20 Pro's Night Mode though is ridiculous. No other camera comes close. I guess it's really hard to find the perfect phone, esp if you're kinda picky about certain things like me. lol

They say the newer Mate 20 Pro improved upon the video quality, so I guess you can always upgrade to that too, or wait for the P30 Pro. Though what sux is because of all this crap about Huawei being spies, it seems that the reception quality will suffer. The P20 Pro for example had VoLTE on it and therefore for like T-Mobile, you could access their Band 12 radio band, which has twice the range and four times the capability to penetrate through walls & buildings.
On T-Mobile, you can only access it if the phone is certified with them, which many unlocked phones are, but many aren't. The P20 Pro was, but the Mate 20 Pro wasn't, which is why despite wanting it (Mate 20 Pro) badly, I ended up getting the OnePlus 6T through a great T-Mobile promotion. Not sure if VoLTE works on Verizon or AT&T, but maybe? You'd have to check on here. HOPEFULLY the P30 Pro though will have it and also Band 71 too, which T-Mobile is currently deploying all over the place, and should be mostly done doing by the end of this year. Neither the P20 Pro or Mate 20 Pro has that, but I'm hoping the P30 Pro will. However, the way things are going, I have strong doubts.
My p20 pro audio quality during live video recording at concerts also sucks
have the same issue with p20 pro. after giving it so many tries recording live videos for bands and live music, i can finally say that my samsung s8 plus owns the p20 pro in recording in concerts/bars/loud music anyday*
Its worth noting that my s8 plus audio input/output is at MONO which has the small single speaker next to the charging port. not sure if the fact thats its mono makes it recorder clearer audio? Or perhaps it has noise cancelling feature in the software.*
For the P20 pro, I hope someone has a solution for this noisy live recording issue. I tried to play with the camera setting and audio setting but same results.
I' have same Issue ?.
There is a software way to Fix it? Seams that this phone have some sorta of audio filters enabled

Question Poor voice call quality

I have this phone from yesterday and I have notice that voice quality during phone calls is very poor :/
People in their phones also told me that them hear me not good.
Cheaper phones have better phonecall quality like this one. Im very dissapointed
Didn't notice that. I'm coming from Galaxy S10e and my voice quality is the same. Only hands free mode is not as good as on the S10e.

Yes, VoLTE is supported here. (Vodafone, Germany)
In my case, i must hold phone straight to the mouth then people who talking with say the call quality is ok. When I tilt the phone away from my mouth just a little bit, then everybody tell me they feel like I'm speaking through the material or or was in a swimming pool and they hardly hear me. In my opinion this is software problem, cause people from asus forum says when use whatsapp or messenger call quality is ok. I didn't test this yet but probably do this. I think the solution will be to find good alternative app for gsm calling.
The latest update for the phone addressed this issue for me. I now have much better quality on my end.
Do you guys still facing issue with call quality after the latest update..looking forward to buy once its launched here..curious to know
Also hows the call quality with VoLTE ?
The voice quality issue seem to be fixed, at leaast on my side after that update rolled out
And in terms of VoLTE and VoWiFi I am super satisfied. I use my phone much at work and people are happy with the quality, as I've been asking them how it is

Thank you for the reply..Much appreciated..waiting eagerly for the launch here
I've hesitated to buy this phone since launch, but now I have it and call quality isn't an issue even without VoLTE on the 30.11.51.67 update.
I still have an issue with call quality. I am in the UAE so no volte or HD voice available. It sounds way worse than my OnePlus 6
