Spare Battery brought from ebay. - G4 Accessories

An update for a battery I brought 3 week ago for $8. This seller from ebay is batteries specialist. I can see it is LG COPY but its contain Li-ion. Its can do quick charge and wireless charging. The temperature is colder than original. Just not sure its can hold the charge. Probably need 2 to 3 charge cycle then can tell. Its came with about 56% Charge when power up.The label said 无品牌 meaning brandless. I usually uses my car quick charge 2.0 charger or Aukey 100000 mAh Power bank to charge when outdoor. Hope its will not explode xddddddd.

Why want warranty for a price like this?

Would you mind posting a picture of the top of the battery, where the connectors are? On the original I got a white dot, next to the edge, which is not present on the spare one. Also, I got mine from Amazon UK, it's stated as original, but curiously the date of production is exactly the same as yours (2015.05.27<L>). I think it could be the same label coming from the same vendor, since it's literally a perfect copy of the one in yours, which is a tiny bit different from the one on my OEM battery. I paid mine £15 (23$ more or less), which would be a shame for a fake. The good thing is that it holds the charge good so far (3rd cycle), it doesn't get warmer than the original one, and the nfc is working flawlessly. I was actually sure it was an original one until I popped in your topic.

I am afraid you have the same as mine.
The label on the battery does not produced clear Print and its doesn't have a white dot near the connector. I don't have the chance to really test it but you said its hold charge that good news.

Can you compare the battery life of the original and the one you bought with that seller?
1st option. try watching movie, or video recording for hours. and measure how it will long for both of the batteries. (just to know if they are both 3000mah or which one will last longer). The original battery will be the controlled standard and asummed 3000mah.
2nd option, just play one movie, (same movie same volume level and same brightness level) for both. start from same percentage level of the battery. After, compare battery level and the how much was lost.
3rd option, record UHD video , pointing towards a wall, the same wall for both, and record and dont interrupt for 20 mins maybe? start from same percentage level of the battery. After, compare battery level and how much was lost.
If you only have time, friend

Dealextreme have just added a 1300mAh HD2 battery to their stock

For anyone who's interested here's the product description: 3.7V 1300mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery for HTC HD2
Currently $4.68 delivered worldwide.
Does this appear to look like any others from the packaging? Anyone going to order?
Edit: Ordered & received, all looks good. Will update again in a few days when I'm done testing.
Looks like the ecell battery which is no better than the stock battery. Seems there are a few batteries released under different branding but all with similar performance.
I received my battery a couple of days ago and am now charging it for the first time. I'll post here once I've charged/discharged about 3 times and have a good idea of how it compares to the original.
Some notes -
The battery fits the HD2 perfectly, it's not too tight or loose as some people have reported with third party batteries.
Sticker on the battery claims 1300mAh
Will update soon!
An update...
I'm charging for the first time, switched the phone on. My HD2's LEDs have flashing Orange then Green as described in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=650507 (no the box to not charge when on isn't checked!)
When the phone is OFF it appears to charge normally (full orange).
This might be a faulty battery, can anyone who's ordered this from DX post about how their battery is performing?
Perhaps this is how 'unconditioned' batteries perform the first time they're charged?
I have 2 similar looking ones I got from ebay. They work fine, BUT for charging... the problem is the temp sensor being badly calibrated, and pretty much anytime the device is warmer than ambient temp (~25-30°C) the flashing LED problem comes up.
Put the phone in standby, screen down (for cooling), and don't charge via USB (when connected to USB the phone stays on i.e. heats up) but with the original charger.
I always charge my batteries (have FOUR of them, original + 3 chinese identical to the original, both by the looks and performance) and always charge them via the external charger. Faster, cooler, more pratical (since you can go away with the phone while the other battery is filling up), so never had any problem, ever
I just ordered two of them the other day. I can't wait until they arrive... The HD2's battery life is atrocious!
I just picked up this exact battery from dealextreme and have been using it for a couple days now and i'm having the exact same symptoms as described above....
It charged up alright the first couple days but it doesn't seem to charge now and the led flashes orange/green. It would appear to be heat related because if i let it cool a little it will charge... for a little bit anyway...
Is there an actual solution for this or are the batteries just complete garbage....
Just get the original HTC battery. All these extra mAh claims are BS. Unless of course you go with the larger extended battery.

Yep. I have a total of 5 batteries and I charge 4 externally before I go on trips.
After initial charging, they all perform just fine. Find a nice stable Android rom and monitor your power usage there.

Try that one 2300 mAh, works fine with windows but with sd android builds only few kernels have the support for that (hastarin), and with NAND andoids havent found any that supports it
It looks awful but it feels very good in hand...
Not thread hijack but here is some data you might have for use and you can stack it against it so other users who is thinking of buying can make good decisions. Now how does this stack up against Mugen Power 1300 mAh stock?

Okay so this morning after I replaced the Mugen battery with stock battery I fully charged it and took this screenshot.
From the looks of it both seems same and at this point I am totally convinced that the stock battery is better. This image on top I uploaded from work on my HD2 as I'm typing from there and my current charge is 83% at 5:53PM when I am submitting this post. So you tell me which is better.

Now keep in mind the stock battery is 1230 mAh and the Mugen power stock size battery was 1300 mAh. So the only difference here was 70+ extra mAh yet after extended test and usage I can respectfully say I got 3-4hours extra with Mugen than the stock size which is alot when you compare the batteries and its only 70 mAh extra which is nothing.
Now keep in mind from those SS the TBattery 0.60 does not verify the actual full mAh as its preset to the max of stock battery which is bug in the program. At the beginning to me it did seem the stock battery was superior as time went on and after many full discharges, Mugen power battery come on top.

[Q] Extended Batteries

So I searched around and all I could find was one $80+ battery that came with a new back cover.
Anyone have better luck?

WP7 app testing... sorry
I believe the Samsung Captivate's battery (or any of the other Galaxy S batteries) will work with the Focus. There was a thread about it a few months ago but I couldn't find it and I have not tried it myself.
They do work, I use a spare battery I have from when I had a galaxy s on sprint.
Sent from my SGH-i917 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
I don't want a spare. I want one with double the capacity :-D
http://www.jpitta.com - Sent from my SGH-i917 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Mugen do a 1600mAh battery that uses the OEM battery cover and a 3200mAh battery (more than double the capacity) that comes with a replacement rear cover. Turns your beautiful slimline Focus into a brick tho'.
Also no way I'd be paying $100 for a spare battery, I'd rather buy a couple of stock spares to swap in for far less money and keep the beautiful profile of the Focus.
Just my 2c.
I didn't buy the focus because its thin. I bought it for the screen + expandable storage that doesnt work yet.
It'd still be nice to keep it as thin as possible though, right?
Either way, doesn't look like there are many options out there... The Focus seems like a fairly popular device all things considered, but HTC is simply dominating the WP7 market. Although there are a few Focus specific accessories out there, it looks like the phone may be doomed to seeing a $100 battery from Mugen Power alone :/
Wish there a few more options available. The stock battery is OK, but if you use your phone often, it isn't good enough. I have two extra batteries to help for that issue, but without an easy way to charge these extras, it gets annoying to keep them all full.

Would be interested to see how this holds up, seems like a pretty cheap battery if you ask me. I'm tired of sleeping over at my girlfriends and having my phone die because I don't have a charger for it and I've used it all day.

I wouldn't expect miracles. Maybe a maximum of 15-20% extra time, but I wouldn't stretch that far
.
On the website the description is more accurate, as on other webites you get "double the standby time and talk time" which is of course, not true.
Quote from Momax website:
* Use the highest-capacity batteries, long standby time, high stability, performance, consistent with the original.
* Advanced Lithium-ion technology, high performance output.
* Battery charging times of up to 500 times or more, environmental protection, and durable.
* Use imported IC components, precision protection circuit board prevents battery overcharge and the positive and negative transient short-circuit, safe, secure.
* Equipped with short-circuit. Overcurrent device in line with international safety standards.
* Production in line with ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 specifications.
Someone here at XDA bought one and I don't see any follow-up which makes me think there's nothing special to expect...
I wouldn't expect miracles either, however I use my phone a fair amount and I usually am forced to sleep with my phone off (which I hate doing). Enough to last through the night would be wonderful.

Mugen Power 3600mAh: AWESOME

I was, at first, dubious to spend $80 on a battery that physically fattens my phone by like 40%, but after my first full charge/discharge using Battery Monitor to track my progress, I am fully convinced of the value...

This was with moderate use; some gaming, some internet usage, a bunch of various phone calls, some navigation in my car, etc. Also a fair amount of sleep time, though. At no point did I turn the phone off however; it was powered on the entire time. Let's see... 2 Days (48hrs) plus 16.5hrs = about 65hrs total. plus the remaining 5% or so, equals, maybe 66 or 67 hours? On one single charge? Awesome.
I know your mileage may vary, depending on your phone usage habits, but I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed with the 3600mAh Mugen battery and definitely recommend it. I even actually like the way it makes my phone feel a little beefier in my hand, instead of like a scrawny little wafer; it makes it easier to grasp and type on. I also keep the fully-charged MOTO 1880mAh battery in my glove box for a backup as well, since it is worth a good 15-24 hours or so.
Any other good/bad experiences with batteries?
[EDIT] - Aw crap, I thought I was in the Droid 3 Accessories sub-forum, my bad... Can a mod maybe move this over there..? Thanks... 0.0
Even if it was 10000mah i'd still not use it because it makes already chunky phone twice as thick
Hell i was getting 3days on Liberty with the Motorola Extended Battery. Given I didn't use my phone all that much its still impressive.
I'd try Liberty or another custom GB rom, I'm sure you'll get even better.
Take a pic of the phone profile. Wanna see how fat your D3 is.
Sent from my XT860 using xda app-developers app
Does it get hotter than normal when you use it with games?
I live in Hawaii, so it pretty much always got hot during games; I haven't noticed it getting any hotter though.
It definitely fattens up the phone a bit, so if you're obsessed with a super-slim phone you might wanna stick with the previously-mentioned energy-efficient ROM and the slim 1880 MOTO battery (Or just buy a keyboardless ultra-slim phone). I like the thickness and super battery life though. Here's a few shots of it next to my wife's XPERIA Play, which, if you notice, is even fatter than my D3, and it only has a 2600mAh extended battery while mine has the 3600mAh...

you can get Mugen Droid 3 battery from official Mugen webshop
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/motorola/verizon-motorola-driod-3.html
they have 3600mAh (extra backdoor) and 1700mAh (original cover)
Plus FYI: Mugen gives 7% facebook discount.
And Mugen offers warranty and customer support if the item is purchased from their official website, which is always a good thing to rely on.
OK well, here's one more... Exactly 96 hours (4 days) since last charge with 1% battery left, although I rarely used the phone during this period because I was working a lot; it spent a lot of down-time sitting in a cubby-hole outside of the place I work because they have cell phone restrictions. I did use it for GPS a few times though, and played Trolls n Towers and Trial Xtreme 2 Winter for awhile, as well as your average phone calls and texting activity. It spent a lot of time sleeping, but still... four entire days for a fairly large touch-screen smart-phone on one charge. Not too shabby. In fact I think it's the best I've ever had on any phone/battery combo so far, personally.

Does anyone use cheap ebay batteries with XT862?

Hi.
I want to buy a new extended battery for my droid 3 because without WIFI I can't make the day on one charge.
Also, it skips from 10% to 4% in 1 second. (on all roms)
I'd prefer not to have a much thicker battery(case) but a little bit won't hurt. (so not the 3500 mah )
Anyway, I searched ebay and found many many batteries in the $3-6 range incl. shipment that claim to have 1800-2000mah:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Red-1950mAh...469871?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3cbc6fa02f
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-1800mah...579346?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4ab4b8a3d2
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Replace...962837?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4ab65a7a95
Surely these can't be 'real'? They must be like 1000mAh, if any?
Does anyone have experience with these cheap batteries? If so, which one?
I know some have anker 1800 but they don't ship outside the US.
Thanks

I tried a cheap ebay battery that cost 4$ or so and it didnt fit.
Looks like you got a good one.
I've always purchased my goodies from eBay because I never liked going to shop for them.. x3
Just shop around, look at the images, and read the descriptions. I've never had problems, though the batteries I purchased recently were for my old D2G. I received two of them from China with what looked like a custom-built battery charger and.. Well. A year later everything was still discharging and charging properly, no qualms! :]
If it looks shady, skip it and go to the next listing, basically.
Been using it for couple of days now. Wasn't able to make a battery usage screenshot because every day I either charged it or rebooted my phone causing the recording to mess up.
Anyway it's definitely an improvement over my stock battery. Had a heavy-usage (3G only) day at work yesterday (quiet day ) and before I had to charge my droid 3 coming home. Now, it had 40% left :good::laugh:
I'll try to make a screenshot soon.

There's this new site called ash an Amazon, you should check it out
..... sooo helpful.. OMG i didn't know! .... ass.
I've been really happy with this one, which is QC 3.0 and 10,000mAh:

It's a pretty compact size, not much larger than a credit card and maybe about as tall as a quarter?
The ONLY downside is that you can't quickcharge the unit itself, so it takes forever to charge it up, but once you do, it'll quickcharge your phone roughly 3 times.

This is a 1k mah smaller, but it's a lipstick size. What's good about this, is that you can replace the battery yourself.

Hmmmm, strange. V20 is 3200mah. It should fully charged no problem. I'm using it on my note 7 and s8+ and charges fully and with little power left.

I also have had good experiences with this product. This is the smallest 10k mAh product and has a size that fits in a shirt pocket. It is a bit thick but light enough. It can fill my S7 edge more than 1x when full charged, but I normally charge it after 1x charge. LOL, thought the non QC charging of the battery pack was a defect on mine. That is a pain since some of the other products I have used work with quick charge on charging. Hope they fix it with the next revision.
This is super slim
10,050 mAH and very slim
If it doesn't load here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76VFMwI3x0c&t=124s
thanks! looks like i'm prolly gonna get one of those!
