[Q] [XT1068] [Dual-Sim] Problems with recovery of my phone - G 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I am trying to recover my phone but I ran into several problems.
- When using TWRP 2.8.6.0 to install any ROM I keep getting an error ("This package supports bootloader(s): 0x4882, 0x4883, 0x4886; this device has bootloader 0x4807"). So my question on this: Where to download one of these and how to install them with the terminal of TWRP (I would like to use fastboot but ran in another problem)?
- When launching fastboot trying to flash a bootloader (where I'm not sure of it's the right version) it wont find my device [XT1068], I tried to solve it but nothing worked.
I hope someone could help me with at least one of the problems.

I think you are in kk ROM/bootloader and want to install a lollipop ROM.
Lollipop doesn't work on 4.4 bootloader (How to update your bootloader
Run fastboot with administrative privilege

freeze in start - impossible to push a new ROM

Hello
I have update my HTC One (europe) into 4.2.2 recently.
I have unlocked the bootloader, installed a recovery (ClockWorkMod Touch 6), and root the device.
But after wanted to install a module founded on the net, I blocked the device (without any save obviously), and the device starts but freeze on the screen of HTC logo.
I always have access to the bootloader (and to fastboot) and to recovery CM6.
To reinstall ROM, I found several solutions on the web but none of theses worked :
- I tried to install a RUU ROM and relocked my bootloader before => impossible, error 140 because it considers that my bootloader does not have the good version. Indeed the RUU availables on the web are only 4.1 and apparently the downgrade is not authorized.
- I tried to inject a custom ROM via ADB sideload but there were a new issue : my device is not recognized! DEVICE NOT FOUND. The fastboot command works well, the HTC is detected, but not the ADB command, which is the only one enabling me to copy a custom ROM in the internal memory of the device (I reinstalled the drivers several times obviously).
I dont know what to do anymore, I feel that the device can be saved because I have access to the bootloader, fastboot and recovery.
But I do not see which other method to use to finally be able to replace the exsiting ROM by a new clean ROM
Thank you very much of your assistance.
You need to be in recovery and sideload mode when using the adb command. I'm not sure about CWM but on TWRP sideload mode is located under advanced options.
AT&T HTC One
BaadNewz's InsertCoin 3.0-7
Flar2's Bulletproof 3.4
If you re-locked your bootloader when trying to run the RUU, you will have to go to htcdev again and get a new token and unlock the bootloader again before you will be able to flash anything in recovery.
Thats maybe why you can't sideload in adb.
Also you have the phone device drivers installed on your PC right?
Could also try sideloading and other troubleshooting by using a toolkit:

rename the ROM from its original name to "ROM.zip" without the quotes, and then try again ADB
if it didnt work inject TWRP, and copy the ROM to a USB Stick and using a USB OTG ($1) mount the USB Stick in TWRP and install the ROM
it worked %100 for me

Update bootloader through phone

I tried to flash CM 12.1 on my Moto G but everytime I try it says I have to have bootloader 0x4882 or 0x4883. I have the binaries of 0x4882 but I can't install them because I cant use fastboot. I have a chromebook and there are apps for ADB but they don't have fastboot. Also, I can't install fastboot with this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38232908#post38232908 .Any help?
You will need a Windows based PC / Laptop to update your bootloader.
Via fastboot mode you will have to flash updated bootloader files on your Moto G2, only then you can install CM12.1 based ROMs
Not possible without pc......its very easy...follow the original thread of updating bl by gregor.....i did that....now im in rom heaven

[Q] Stuck at bootloader unlock warning, bootloader command won't launch.

Hello guys,
I'll need your help on this one as I've tried all solutions that came to my mind.
My XT1092 is stuck at the bootloader screen. I can access bootloader and execute fastboot commands but none of the bootloader command work (no recovery, nor reboot, whatever I choose the phone juste power off).
Before the brick I was running 5.0.0 and had just applied the small update (5.0.2 I think). The phone never woke up from this one.
I've tried to find stock images that I can flash via fastboot but I can't find any. (the only links I found lead to an inaccessible website).
I rely on you guys now...
Thanks !
I think I was in a similar position this morning. I think mine failed since I was rooted. Were you also rooted?
I got mine back up and running by flashing all the stock files (XT1092 5.0) via fastboot.
I then decided to switch my device to XT1095 and run 5.1, which seems to be working so far.
Yeah it was rooted.
The thing is I can't find stock 5.0.2 files for europe.
I managed to push a CM zip trough ADB, then flash it, then flash a stock brazilian ATT firmware via ADB, but I can't come back to my original version.
I also cannot start recovery unless I boot in fastboot mode, then launch "fastboot boot recovery.img" with a TWRP Recovery img.
I flashed back to 5.0, not 5.0.2. I'll find the link now (I'm on mobile).
As I said though, I decided to convert to XT1095 and try 5.1. Looks good so far, need to test 4G when I get into the city tomorrow.
EDIT: the files I used are found in OP here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3001221
I used a fastboot that was lying around from a while ago. It was fastboot-v2 I think. If you need it I can upload it tomorrow.

Me and my HTC Vivid are stuck in Limbo, somewhere between custom ROM and Root.

Here are all of the procedures I followed to see if you can help me any. Believe me, I've tried searching everywhere.
1. I downloaded the latest version of the Windroid toolkit, found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2499926). I saw it worked with HTC Vivid on 4.0.3, which was an old shattered phone I had lying around. That tool is pretty old, so I had no idea what the TWRP version it flashed for me, nor the version of the SuperSU it tried installing. (it downloaded it onto the device but can't install it.)
2. I unlocked the bootloader via the tool, then proceeded to flash the TWRP version it had to the device, it currently works fine (loading into recovery). But I opted not to create a backup for the stock ROM, so that's gone forever. And at this point I can't install the SuperSU because of an error in TWRP "Error executing updater binary in zip" (which I googled extensively to no avail, none of the fixes worked). And for some reason, my computer recognizes when the device is connected, but I can't adb push or fastboot flash recovery "file".img to the phone. I am exasperated and stuck.
Takeaway notes: No stock ROM, Unknown TWRP and Supersu versions. I can't install the SuperSu zip because of "Error executing updater binary in zip". I am not sure how to--if i can--push any other ROMs to my device, because it seems like I can't communicate at all with my device through my PC. Although the fastboot does say "FASTBOOT USB"
This is the stage I'm at. I tried flashing a new image of TWRP, the most recent version that works on my phone, via fastboot. So I have a folder with the adb crap and fastboot crap and the image. I type "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" and it just goes to the next line without doing anything.
I know this information was all over the place, but I'm not really sure what information you guys need to help point me in the right direction.
Thanks.

Semi-Bricked Moto XT1052

I don't know if it's soft bricked or hard bricked. Current situation of phone :
Bootloader unlocked
Using TWRP 2.28x version
Cleaned the phone completely - No stock ROM/OS
So here's the problem -
I tried to flash a few custom ROMs and all of them give some error. Since I'm stuck in TWRP recovery only way to send new ROMs to phone is via adb push. I am unable to install any ROM including the Stock Version.
I tried using this method : http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/guide-moto-x-return-to-100-stock-using-t2446515
But my device is not being detected, I tried 'adb devices' and nothing shows up. Also the RSD method, it doesn't detect my device.
Please help me I'm in real trouble. :crying:

If you can access twrp. Just insert a flashdisk using usb-otg. Put everything you need on the fd and flash everything you need. That should do the job.

1) Turn off phone.
2) Enter bootloader
3) Flash twrp 3.0.2 from the development forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/development/twrp-touch-recovery-unofficial-t3309449) use the command "fastboot flash recovery *insert recovery name here*"
4) Boot into recovery and enable MTP in the storage devices option.
5) Copy stock rom and disable MTP.
6) Flash stock rom. Profit.
