CPU version - Xperia Z4/Z3+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone!
Which revision of a 810 processor is in your phone ? CPU-Z shows that mine is r1p1, as i understood this is a 2.0 version, not 2.1 ?
When i ran the program at first time, it showed r0p2 revision, but later it changed to r1p1.

E6553 SI 1295-9855 Rev 4, Cpu-Z r1p1

Yeah, thank you. I really thought that Sony uses 2.1 rev for all devices, i wrote about it on xperiablog, and now i really "surprised". But, actually, i don`t really think that that there some global difference between 2.0 and 2.1 revision, of course there`s some improvements but not so really much.

I've had a hard time confirming that the CPU-Z actually refers to the SoC revision. In everything that I can find, r1p1 refers to the ARM A53 core revision # rather than the Qualcomm revision #. It's very confusing.

i9305's CPU, GPU

Hi, just bought a new Galaxy S III (i9305)..how do I check my CPU, GPU etc? I've downloaded quick system info from market and it says the following:
Memory: Total: 1.75GB Free: 0.90GB Idle: 336MB
Processor: ARMv7 Processor rev 0 (v7I) Dual-Core 1400MHz
is this the right phone? I mean isn't the processor suppose to be quad core?? (Sorry if the question sound stupid its just there are so many version of this phone each has different hardware and I wanted to get the best one with Quad Core processor and 2GB Ram)
Thanks

change cpu ?

with the new exynos and mtk octa core in the market , i was wandering if its possible for our phone to change cpu ? would a octa core be compatible ?
That is not PC dude. Anyway it would be great if possible
I don't think so. The motherboard may be not compitable with new cpu

Ahh no sorry, there are two challenges that you would have too overcome, the first being the hardware aspect. The tegra 3 SoC isn't just a CPU but APU that has both a CPU and GPU on the same chip. This chip is physically soldered to the motherboard. While its not inconceivable that a very skilled person might be able to remove the chip and replace it with an identical chip (in theory).
You cant replace the tegra chip with another for both hardware and software incompatibilites, our phones whole motherboard is designed around the tegra3 and its very intricate details of operation. But let's pretend the hardware will be compatible and a exynos octa core is what we will use, the next problem is software. The kernel is the core of an operating system, on the arm platform the Linux kernel is different to that of x86 based devices, arm devices need extremely specific kernel support, you would in essence have to rewrite or re engineer an entire devices specific hardware support in the kernel, for scale the difference between mainline 3.1 and the 3.1 android kernel in our device is about a million lines of code, I'd guess lge's changes would be around 50,000 lines of code for our device.
But I somehow don't think its worth it

Why? You would lose access to THD games

right the whole kernel must change. too much for me

[Q] 2.5 or 2.3 GHz?

Why does this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-htc-one-m8
say on the specs "2.50GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801" about the CPU? Isn't it a 2.3 GHz? CPU-Z in my One says 2.27 GHz. Did I get the slow one or is that spec in the above page a mistake?

[Question] Moto G 2014 Processor Model

So, i got curious and downloaded the "CPU z" application to have a look at my phones specs in detail. I found that my processor was the "4x ARM Cortex A7 @1.19Ghz". however the advertised processor is the "1.20GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400" now, is this just a pre-manufacturing model name and I'm just being stupid or is something fishy going on here?
Also i find it odd that the actual processor in my device is clocked at 1.19 when i in fact was under the idea that it's a 1.20 clock speed. I'm sure it wouldn't make that much difference but still seem odd?
could someone put my mind at rest and tell me that I'm just being an amateur and to go back into my android noobie cave or can someone confirm that in fact something fishy is going down.
thanks!

And don't worry about the clock speed.
I hope this answers your question.

[Q] Mi Note Pro Snapdragon 810 version/revision?

Sorry if this has been asked before, did a couple searches and found nothing related so here it goes: as title says is there a way to check the Snapdragon version/revision of this phone? I mean factory wise, no third party tools. I'm a bit confused because this phone launched under the statement of the Snapdragon 810 v2 revision 2.1 and the thermal heats / performance improvements. But recently I've seen some Sony/HTC phones that were released under the "old" version (specially the M9) having a firmware update that brought the performance to the same scores in all benchmarks to the rev 2.1 supposedly the Mi Note Pro has so I'm a bit confused with all of the revisions, is this one a different revision? Is there a way to check it out, like in recovery mode or through adb/fastboot? If so could you post and share your results / findings? Thanks
The snapdragoon 810 rev. 2.1 have a overclocked GPU , "normal" 810 chip have a gpu clock set to 600 ; 2.1 versions have a 630 clock in the gpu, so download cpuz and check it.
