My cell phone's originally has baseband as V10b. However, after updating to V10d, the button for "Check for updates OTA" disappeared. Does other people have this? Thank you.
No. Not on my brothers phone using v10d.

Did you get the update via LG PC Suite? If yes when was this?
No. Updated manually with smartflash.
there's not OTA update or O2X. you have to do it via pc.
Can someone help to find out what kind of update the one via LG PC Suite is?
I have the ota update option on my o2x and it works fine.

Hey,
I not to create a new thread, I wanted to ask you about the update.
I have the German version of O2X unlocked and have a software version V10b. I have read that many people who had the reboot/freeze issues after updating the software to the newer version had even more problems.
I haven't experienced any of those on my phone and I was wondering if performing the software update could hurt my phone? I mean if I may start getting these reboots and other issues? or maby if the phone is alright now, then it should also be ok after the update?

I have the unbranded German LG2X as well and had no reboot issues before I have updated and have no issues after the update still.
Since it is an official update, you could have your device changed if any problems should occur after the update.

I did the update through LG PC Suite and that was in late April (I think it was around April 29th).
Guys, I have one problem: when I try to update my 4X HD by the Software update program, the phone shows up "You are using the latest softaware version in current OS version".
My firmware version is the 10A, and there is a 10C version for my country. What's the problem?
I've not tried to update by kdz files yet.

If you bought the phone at an other country this can happen, else, i would recommend to update via KDZ, but on windows 8 its harder then on all the other windows os's

exactly, you probably updated your phone with brazilian 10a, didnt you? well than this message wont change.
Do what he said. Update it to 10c using kdz because OTA wont work on our 4X anymore unles you use the stock fw that came with it.

Your settings in LG Update Tool (B2CAppSetup) are correct?...
Country and language?...
You tried ("Modo de Emergencia & Modo de recuperação"), inserting IMEI and S/N ?
If it doesn't works, flash with .kdz

I fixed the problem updating by KDZ files!
Now, I'm with another problem. I've updated to 10F global european version, but my whatsapp doesn't connect. I's a problem of this version? Should I try another firmware?

What should be? I've updated to 10c-Brazil and it worked. After that I updated to 10f.

you should have done a factory reset before update... you can try it now, maybe it works.
Or you can go to the app directory and re-install it.

Flashed this xml to dev. edition VZ without problems.
Except fact that GSM not working with this radio even if "GSM/3G" option is set.
Unable to travel to Japan to test it, sorry.
iirc japan uses a comination of wcdma and tdma technologies for their networks, so not surprising that gsm doesn't work. thanks for trying though

I tried to rsdlite the first xml in the op and it said getvar was not valid.
I have xt907 unlocked bootloader.

Yep.
So far, no root method has been confirmed for the 902. We couldn't even get a guy with a dev edition rooted - I suspect their firmware is highly secured.

These are the latest available XMLs I know about.
You can directly OTA to 4.1.2 or apply this update manually.

@aamszia did you get any update for your Softband Moto 201M or have you managed to make it even work, i tried to do some trick on my friend's 201M and now it's just on fastboot and the black screen is on no more.

I followed the instructions from this link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2287847) and flashed the C6506 baseband onto my C5503 and confirm that it works. I now have LTE (from Vancouver) and my provider is Fido.
Thought I should share this for those who cannot register onto LTE using C5503's baseband.

Basically, if a phone do not support LTE (C5502), will flashing baseband alone help?

Sorry I wish I could tell you but I've never tried. I did read in another post that you would still have a hardware issue so the short answer is no.

Have you upgraded to 4.4.2 and had success since?
I cannot find a baseband that works!!
I've tried like 5 recommended basebands; no success
Please advise! Thx
The 4.4.2 works and I used the ZL FTF 6506 Baseband per my original post link.
Have you also checked your access points?

I found that a lot of update for 4.4.2 is now available on Sammobile but I know that my country will never be listed in that list for any Samsung Mobile Model but I would like to know which one should I choose. My country is Mauritius.
My actual stock firmware since I bought the phone is:
Baseband Version: I9295XXUAMF7
Kernel Version: 3.4.0-957941
Build Number: JDQ39.I9295XXUAMF7
This is my stock firmware on 4.2.2 since I bought it.

Dont worry download the firmware and install it nothing will happen to your phone , phone calls will still work all will work

The modem will not cause any problem? For my network strength also?
One more thing I found that on MF7 there is no LTE option available if I choose another firmware will I get LTE option available in network?

I don't think so i had the same suggestion in my mind ... Since I bought the phone from different country band use it in different country ... And flashed the kk update and nothing happened but my signal reception got better . I recommend a factory reset before flashing and all should be good .

Ok the battery is better or worst?
Also on MF7 there is no option for LTE in network mode but if I update it will I get it back?

Well on battery thingy it depends on your use I had lite usage and could get 2 to 3 days ... LTE I couldn't say anything since where I live there is no LTE

Just finished installing the update all went good now i'm reinstalling my apps. I did not get the LTE option but that's not a big problem

After installing my apps I found that the phone lags and it uses more RAM that it was using in 4.2.2 I would like to know if it is possible to revert back to 4.2.2 which was much better?
