White tint issue - Xperia Z4/Z3+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Yesterday I was using the phone before going to sleep and I have noticed a white tint on the screen. Didnt do anything about it but this morning I have made the screen test and when the screen is black its totally noticable.
I am just wondering if anyone else has this issue and what I should do? I have brought this phone 20 days ago on the 6th.

I would def. go back to seller and 'demand' a new one under warranty.
As soon as possible as well, say you didn't notice it until a late night on black background, and it surely shouldn't be like that..
GL!

That`s what I did. Now I just have to send the phone back to UK once they have a look at it I should receive the replacement.
Thanks!!

[Q] HTC HD7 Help! Lines on screen :(

Hi. My HTC HD7 has decided to develope some strange lines on the screen. their is no damage or anything but these lines do go away for a second or so when i start a new app, then come right back. they seem to vanish for that second when the tiles are sweeping by.i have posted some screens, any advice would be great.
P.s i have heard that "maybe" some sort of reset could cure this problem. i done the factory through settings but no joy.
Thanks,
Dan.

Are you sure your screen isn't damaged?
it also could be a reason of loose connection in the screen's cable.
try to see if the lines are there when you go to the SPL screen, if they are there, it's definitely a hardware problem.
thanks for the reply. yeah it is there on the spl screen. it seems to emulate the colours from the top of the screen. no damage to it and touch works fine. only time they go is on an all black screen.

Every Samsung AMOLED screen is like that.
My galaxy s3 and note 2 were not like that

Hmmm...I was laying in bed last night streaming some videos because I couldn't sleep. I think I would have noticed something like that on the black loading page...I recall everything was of uniform brightness. I'll have to check again later & specifically look for it. However, I'm incredibly anal about that kind of stuff so I think it would have stuck out like a sore thumb.
I have a Charcoal Grey unit, by the way.
Opened up Chrome to that blank screen like you did and mine looks normal. I was thinking perhaps it was just a viewing angle sort of problem, but every angle I tried looked the same...normal. Not sure what could be causing that for you.

We've come a long way with display technology and bad displays are a lot more rare than they used to be, but a bad one still will slip through from time to time. A trip down to the local AT&T store to swap it out for a new one will fix the problem.

Note 5 some bright spots on body

Hey guys. Look to pictures and tell me why is this happened ? Thanks.

I was about to say "It's the LED notification!"
But then I understood what you meant. It sorta looked like liquid got under the glass? You didn't mention how long you've had the phone for, whether it was there when you received it etc.

Nothing.. Or If somethings spilled, I cant see it
There's just nothing else to check, it looks like liquid got under the glass. Possibly it seeps from the ear speaker.
You may have spilled something previously without noticing it.
If you press the glass around that area, possibly you can the liquid move.
Maybe if you heat up that area, the liquid will slowly evaporate.

Backlight Bleed

Does any A2 have backlight bleed? Can't find no information on it, my A2 comes tomorrow to replace my OP6 as I don't need that spec, only use the phone for YouTube and Reddit. Just hoping there is no backlight bleed.
No there's none of that

this is not called bleed man,
it is faded color at the bottom due to stock launcher try poco launcher or any launcher for this confirmation.

I use nova launcher and yes it appears everywhere , browser, Reddit app and other apps. It's noticeable
Can confirm. Tomorrow will be literally the fourth month of purchase. It started today.
Sometimes screen bleeding do occur but after a shutdown for an hour or so it gets resolved
Does this count? If the phone is untouched for a few hours this shows up.

I have tried a factory reset but did not help.
Do you think this is the burn issue faced due to AMOLED screen
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Have you tried rebooting your device?

You do realize that a "factory reset" reboots the device don't you? Lol..
Had the issue twice, once was with red tint the second was either gray tint. On my first Tina I had a burn in from the button grid too. Solution was a screen replacement via warranty!
really sucks...
Noticed this issue just after latest update INS
Couls this be related or my only option is screen replacement
Thanks
Is the tint present when you use your device to view media or play games? If it does then there is an issue with the display. I would recommend taking it to a Samsung Service Center and let them take a look at it
