LG G4 LS991ZV5.tar.gz MD5 Checksum? - Sprint LG G4

Can those of you who have been successful rooting the Sprint LG G4 post the MD5 hash for LS991ZV5.tar.gz?
I can't finding it at the download site or the [Root] thread and would like to verify it with a know good.
Sorry for being redundant but I'm under a time crunch atm.

Well, out of time. I guess I'll be without root for a while more :crying:

Thanks
I'll get around to it when I can get back to a PC

For Sprint... 53FAB3EF537C3917AB96AA219D1AC32C (be sure you extract the img file from the tgz file you downloaded before copying it to the root of your INTERNAL and do NOT rename it) After you've extracted it, (use 7zip, winrar, etc) you can verify your # using this http://onlinemd5.com/ select "choose file" at the top and select your IMG file that's extracted from that tgz file and you should have the same # as mine. It should take about 3 minutes

I'm not sure the md5 value you're showing is correct, because the checksum generator in the link you posted has a max file size of 4GB and the image file size is 4.565,499,904 bytes.
ES File Explorer shows an MD5 checksum of bba2f6e3342db0ca171ddfde8286c0da for that file on my phone.

We're not talking about the ls991zv5.tar.gz file, we're talking about the system.rooted.LS991ZV5.img file.
The MD5 checksum value you posted is the one generated for the system.rooted.LS991ZV5.img file by the MD5 & SHA1 Hash Generator found in your link. Go ahead and try it again with that same file and you'll get the same value you posted. What I'm saying is that value is wrong because the file is too big for that Hash Generator to handle.

That's convenient... I've been using this:
http://etree.org/md5com.html
Or maybe I'm a liar. I have no idea where my md5sum.exe comes from. It works the same as the linux one.
I can't remember the name of the one i used to verify the md5sum for cwm. It's just an exe that you drag the file over and it pops up w/ a window that says the md5sum and date created and some other stuff.

Unfortunately that didn't work.
Is file on your phone or computer? What zip program do you use on your computer?
File on computer....tried WinRAR and 7zip.
I know you can open it in winzip and then do a save as and save it as a zip file. Not sure that will help.
Did you use the convert feature in WinRAR?
Is the download corrupt?
I'll try Winzip now see what happens.
WinZip failed too...any help?
What exactly is failing?

"Cannot open file. Does not appear to be a valid archive".
Sounds like it's corrupt. Download again.
Downloaded multiple times...that's why I'd like it if anyone could link me a good file :/
Cmon guys I seriously need help I can't use my phone!
Download playground and kernel and reflash.
I cannot flash the kernel...because I'm on S-OFF and I need to adb push the Wifi module driver...now to do that I need to change the name of the file in the zip. But I can't access the zip...
But isn't the Wifi module in the rom? If you are s-off, download the rom via computer, copy to sd card and flash. Do the same with the kernel. Unless I'm missing something.
The file isn't for unpacking as I remember you just need to edit the filename and remove the .7z extension and copy it over the current one.
It should only be S-ON users that had to do this as I remember too.

Hmm I thought the filename I had to edit was in the actual zip. Thanks...
You can't just rename a 7zip file you need to extract and than re-compress the files into a zip file.

Don’t give me a fish, teach me how to fish.
I would like to help you fishing but I'M NOT RESPOSIBLE IF YOU ENDED BY CACHING A SHARK
I had downloaded a rom with removed bootloader from annson08 thread, by opening the .tar archive i noticed that he did just removed the arm11boot file from the package nothing else.
so maybe removing this file from your ROM and flashing it like usual will do the trick
Do It At Your Own Risk
Unpack rom..search bootanimation.zip.....replace with any other of ur choice
....repack

i know that he just removed arm11boot but when i did that with many method i didn't succed to add it to "odin multi downloader" it crashs every time when i add the new file without bootloader i think that is not just unpack, remove and repack there is something special to make odin fish a fish not a shark

yeah i used cygwin too but i failed to make the output file work on odin!!!
i used this method from yagya:
Code:
cd firmware_directory
// Goes inside firmware directory
tar -cf firmware_name.tar amss mibib oemsbl qcsbl boot.img recovery.img system.rfs csc.rfs
// This will create a tar_file named firmware_name.tar containing all the files mentioned afterwards. You'll need to check if all files except arm11boot are included or not and add (or remove) to or from above list.
md5sum firmware_name.tar >> firmware_name.tar
// Checks md5sum of the tar file.
mv firmware_name.tar >> firmware_name.tar.md5
// Renames the firmware file. The outcome of this is your flashable zip file.
[optional] gzip firmware_name.tar.md5
//zips the firmware_name.tar.md5 file as gz format. It is easier while sharing the file since it reduces the file size by almost 50 %.
you did everything correct but the problem of Odin crashing is its a md5 file then you remove the arm11boot md5 of file changes which makes the Odin crash
steps to correct it:-
1. extract everything from package
2. delete arm11boot
3. then download a software which can create a tar package
4. with that software create an empty tar package
5. put all the files in that tar package
then then you are ready to flash

[Q] Anyone try MF2 yet?

I downloaded the file, MD5 (I537UBUAMG2_I537TCEAMG2_I537UBUAMG2_HOME.tar.md5) just waiting to see if it has worked?
And where did you happen to acquire this file from since afaik there's no flashable version of MF2 floating around out there. MF2 is what was installed on most GS4A's from the factory which then upgraded to MF3 by OTA (again, afaik).
An MD5 "file" is just a very tiny text file with a line of info, usually the MD5 checksum and then the name of the file that checksum is associated with - we're talking about a file that's less than 100 bytes in size most of the time whereas the actual ROM file would end up being several hundred to at least 1.1-1.3GB in size.
Are you sure you understand what it is you might have downloaded?

This is where...
It's the Mexican version of the firmware... someone here tried it... wasn't successful though.
First of all this file is MG2 not MF2. A little misleading and furthermore this MG2 has indeed been tried and verified to not work.
