stuck on boot - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello xda
I need help with my samsung galaxy ace s5830. I intstalled kitkat 4.4.4 cooper edition it was working fine but he ate my battery so I decided to restore my old system 2.3.3 but there was a lot of problems. I use cwm for this (before kitkat backup and after restore) and now he is stuck on boot i tried to wipe data factory reset .. it was useless. Please help me.

Your "old system 2.3.3" is a stock (or stock-based) rom? If yes, your backup is useless because CWM handles EXT-formatted partitions and stock rom is RFS-formatted. You have to flash a new custom rom via CWM or the stock rom via odin.

There is an app/script to change .rfs to .ext and viceversa formats but it's faster to flash a fresch stock rom as Mm7 said. Then you can restore your old backup

Did i brick my note?

Hello fellas,
I am new to samsung and to be specific new to note but not new to android.
I got my note with stock ICS installed.I rooted my device using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647148 it got successfully rooted. Then,I made a nandroid backup of my stock ICS with CWM.Then i was eager to flash custom ROM so,i flashed this MIUI ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1738632 , i also flashed required kernel for the ROM.Then i didn't liked the ROM so i thought of going back to stock ICS so,i opened CWM and restored my Stock ROM since then i am stuck at samsung boot animation.
I am from India so i downloaded indian Stock ROM [GB] n tried to flash it with PC Odin,it got successfully flashed but again it stuck on samsung boot animation.
NOW I AM STUCK!! PLZ HELP!!
If you have successfully flashed GB ROM then you are safe now
Just enter to recovery and wipe cache and data.
It shud boot normally then.

it's still stuck on galaxy ace screen did a full wipe, format cache, data, system, sd ext and restore my backup. On mount and storage, why does it says "unmount /cache"? Maybe it has something to do with that?
If you've flashed a CM7 rom there's no way to restore a stock rom from backup taken through CWM5. The filesystem format is not compatible.
You'll need to flash stock from Odin.
Yeah, flash a stock firmware with Odin and then when you have done, install cwm recovery (because installing a new firmware erases everything so also your cwm recovery that you had) and try to restore your backup.

*HIT THANKS IF I HAVE HELPED YOU*
Wipe everything then re-flash ROM.
Reboot before flashing anything else.
For stock rom, go to download mode (power+home+vol. down) and connect to PC.
Get stock rom and ODIN.
Check out guide to using ODIN: ODIN for Dummies
format all wipe all install this:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1962762
You can not recovery stock rom over a CM 7 because the last one reformat the internal partition to EXT4 uncompatible with stock rom. So flash a stock rom with ODIN (possible the same you used for the nandroid backup) than restore.

I think you need to do a full format using ODIN..and reinstall CWM and install CM7 and try to recover your backup from CWM.:good:

galaxy note from 4.4.1 to 4.0.4 downgrade

How to downgrade from KitKat to jelly bean 4.1.2 through recovery
You can only flash custom ROMs based on touchwiz ROMs through recovery like sweetrom or aryamod .... or use Odin to flash original Samsung firmware because you can't use recovery to flash original firmware.
Press thanks if I helped you.

Downgrading to JB is as easy as booting into recovery, wiping data, booting into download mode and flashing the stock rom
or booting into recovery and flash a custom TW rom or restore the backup if you made any before flashing Omni.
I have a non-rooted phone upgraded with what Samsung provided (several OTA, then Kies to 4.1.2, N7000XXLTC).
I'd like to downgrade to stock 4.0.4. My steps are:
1. wipe cache & data from Recovery (would a Factory Reset do both?);
2. use Odin to flash the ROM;
3. never do any sort of wipe again.
Is that correct?

Steps are correct... Use the recovery option to wipe data / factory reset ..instead of the settings menu.

Yes you will need to get CWM.. flash raw or philz kernel and then reboot recovery, wipe and restore the backup.
Let me share my own experience
Whenever i wanna go back to jellybean from kitkat :
1. Do clean wipe
2. Flashing official gingerbread rom
3. And then installing jellybean..
I dont know why but whenever flashing jellybean after do a clean wipe it never works so what i do is flashing gingerbread first hehe

I'm on 4.4.4 DU Rom.. The phone got hanged after I enabled the allow mock location option. Then the phone got stuck at the Samsung Logo screen. I went to recovery and tried doing factory reset, but it failed with error as unable to mount /data. After that recovery mode is not available, but I can go in Download mode. So, i tried to install JB 4.1.2 - N7000XXLTA via Odin. But the process gets failed after 'NAND write start'!!!
Any solution???

When you install KitKat then it is obvious that you wipe your previously installed stock rom, isn't it?
When the installation with Odin didn't work and you want help you need to tell us some more details:
What stock Rom version did you use?
What were the error messages in Odin (snapshot)?

S3 mini locked in startup screen

Hello, I have a problem with my phone and I need some help.
I tried to install Kit Kat 4.4.4 using recovery mode (CWM), the install process ran smoothly but it had some issues so I tried to install Lollipop 5.1.1 (CyanogenMod 12.1) 20150412 stable from novafusion using TWRP (v.2.8.1.0) but apparently I made some mistakes, I used the Advanced Wipe tool and deleted (Dalvik cache, System, cache, data, internal storage) after this I can not install any moded ROM.
The phone stays on the "Samsung Galaxy s3 mini" screen.
Can somebody help?
My phone model is GT-i8190L
looks like you need to head over to http://http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/, login & d/l original firmware for ur fone & region, then flash via odin, & start root, custom flash again.............carefully this time & be sure to make full nandroid backup before flashing so you can restore if problems occur......good luck & post again if you need more help
